GETTING NASTY: Homeland Security Official Warned With Decapitated Animal on His Porch

According to an official who is familiar with recent threats directed against the Department of Homeland Security, the department determined that there is now a “heightened threat against DHS employees.” The official said roughly two dozen threats have been made in the last few days.

One specific example: a senior DHS official living in the Washington, D.C. area found a burnt and decapitated animal on his front porch.

On Saturday, Claire Grady, acting deputy secretary of Homeland Security, wrote to employees, “This assessment is based on specific and credible threats that have been levied against certain DHS employees and a sharp increase in the overall number of general threats against DHS employees.” Her memo recommended not displaying work badges in public, being careful with public conversations and being circumspect on social networks. It also recommended DHS employees “always keep doors and windows locked” and “be aware of unexpected changes in and around your home.” (Read more from “Getting Nasty: Homeland Security Official Warned With Decapitated Animal on His Porch” HERE)

Betrayal: Michael Cohen Has ‘All the Tapes’ and ‘We’re Taking Trump Down Together,’ Says Tom Arnold

On the hunt for long-rumored and potentially damaging tapes featuring President Donald Trump, comedian Tom Arnold has reached the man who for years worked to make such things disappear. Now, Arnold suggested, the president’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen is ready to join forces to take his former boss “down.”

Arnold has been working on a show for Vice called The Hunt for the Trump Tapes, in which he combines his Hollywood contacts and comedic talents “to dig for evidence on Trump’s most incriminating moments,” the media company said when announcing the show last month. . .

“We’ve been on the other side of the table, and now we’re on the same side,” Arnold told NBC News Friday. “It’s on! I hope he [Trump] sees the picture of me and Michael Cohen and it haunts his dreams.” . . .

He continued: ”I say to Michael, ‘Guess what? We’re taking Trump down together, and he’s so tired he’s like, ‘OK,’ and his wife is like, ‘OK, f*** Trump.'”

Cohen’s loyalty to the president has been questioned in recent weeks after his home, office and hotel room were raided by the FBI in April. Among the records seized were reportedly those pertaining to his payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels shortly before the 2016 election, in order to keep her quiet over an alleged affair with Trump. New Model Predicts That We’re Probably the Only Advanced Civilization in the Observable Universe

The Fermi Paradox remains a stumbling block when it comes to the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence (SETI). Named in honor of the famed physicist Enrico Fermi who first proposed it, this paradox addresses the apparent disparity between the expected probability that intelligent life is plentiful in the universe, and the apparent lack of evidence of extra-terrestrial intelligence (ETI).

In the decades since Enrico Fermi first posed the question that encapsulates this paradox (“Where is everybody?”), scientists have attempted to explain this disparity one way or another. But in a new study conducted by three famed scholars from the Future of Humanity Institute (FHI) at Oxford University, the paradox is reevaluated in such a way that it makes it seem likely that humanity is alone in the observable universe.

The study, titled “Dissolving the Fermi Paradox”, recently appeared online. The study was jointly-conducted by Anders Sanberg, a Research Fellow at the Future of Humanity Institute and a Martin Senior Fellow at Oxford University; Eric Drexler, the famed engineer who popularized the concept of nanotechnology; and Tod Ord, the famous Australian moral philosopher at Oxford University.

For the sake of their study, the team took a fresh look at the Drake Equation, the famous equation proposed by astronomer Dr. Frank Drake in the 1960s. Based on hypothetical values for a number of factors, this equation has traditionally been used to demonstrate that – even if the amount of life developing at any given site is small – the sheer multitude of possible sites should yield a large number of potentially observable civilizations.

This equation states that the number of civilizations (N) in our galaxy that we might able to communicate can be determined by multiplying the average rate of star formation in our galaxy (R*), the fraction of those stars which have planets (fp), the number of planets that can actually support life (ne), the number of planets that will develop life (fl), the number of planets that will develop intelligent life (fi), the number civilizations that would develop transmission technologies (fc), and the length of time that these civilizations would have to transmit their signals into space (L). U.S. Navy Reportedly Drafting Plans to House up to 25,000 Illegal Alien Families, but Consider the Source…

The US Navy is reportedly drafting plans to house up to 25,000 people in furtherance of the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” policy toward illegal immigration.

Amid the media-generated hysteria last week, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to keep illegal immigrant families together, but will continue to hold those who enter the country illegally accountable to US law, thus the manufactured outrage continuing from the left, who deceptively advocate for open borders. . .

The story was first reported by Time Magazine, which ran with — and stands by — a deceptive cover of President Trump towering over a crying illegal immigrant child — the problem being that the child was never separated from her mother, and had only been put down for a few seconds while a border patrol agent frisked the woman. . .

The irony here is that Democrats are sure to complain about the conditions of the camps, even as they look past the perils of migrants trekking to the southern border as a result of our history of lax enforcement of immigration laws, with hundreds dying along the way and women so routinely raped that parents give their daughters birth control pills to prevent them getting pregnant,

It’s important to note that the Navy has not been asked to provide housing for illegal immigrants as of yet. (Read more from “U.S. Navy Reportedly Drafting Plans to House up to 25,000 Illegal Alien Families, but Consider the Source…” HERE)

Cruz Gave Chilling Warning Before Massacre

A freshman at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School received a chilling warning when he encountered shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz in the hallway as he was reloading his AR-15 rifle that fateful Valentine’s Day.

The student told investigators that Cruz said “you better get out of here,” according to interview transcripts released on Friday. . .

Cruz, 19, has offered to plead guilty if the death penalty is waived, but prosecutors have not agreed to that. Authorities say he confessed to the crime and previously prosecutors released cellphone videos Cruz recorded in which he describes in detail what he planned to do at the school that he had attended.

Another interview released Friday was with a Stoneman Douglas security monitor who was in the building just as Cruz entered. The monitor, whose name is also redacted but who school officials have identified as David Taylor, said he saw Cruz carrying the gun bag from about a 50-yard distance down a school hallway. He had been alerted to Cruz’s presence by another monitor, Andrew Medina, both of whom were well-acquainted with the troubled former student. . .

Taylor told detectives that he knew Cruz well from his time at the school and had frequently taken him out of class for defiant behavior and being disrespectful to teachers. (Read more from “Cruz Gave Chilling Warning Before Massacre” HERE)

Hypocrisy: De Blasio Calls for Action With Immigration, Enraged When Illegals Take Refuge in NYC

Outrage from the left over separating children from the lawbreaking adults who drag them across the border may have cooled after President Donald Trump signed an order rolling back the practice, but there is still plenty of frustration to go around.

There are also countless questions. One of more suprising of them is coming from New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who wants to know: What are migrants doing in my city? . . .

On Wednesday, De Blasio spoke outside Cayuga Centers in Harlem, a social services agency that has been contracted by the government to provide assistance to unaccompanied minors who cross the border. Cayuga helps place migrant children into temporary foster care and runs programs for them during the day. . .

Normally, this would be the kind of do-good agency that liberals would celebrate — but these aren’t normal times. Bizarrely, De Blasio is apparently outraged that these refugees are being given, well, refuge.

“Mr. de Blasio said the federal government would not tell city officials exactly how many children were sent to New York or where they were being housed,” reported The New York Times. “The office of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said the state also did not know the exact number.” (Read more from “Hypocrisy: De Blasio Calls for Action With Immigration, Enraged When Illegals Take Refuge in NYC” HERE)

Facebook Bans Christian Professor Over Criticism of Video Recruiting Children as ‘Gay Allies’

Facebook recently placed a 24-hour ban on Christian author and former professor Robert A. J. Gagnon for a post he made criticizing a Canadian children’s video celebrating gay pride and LGBT icons.

The catalyst for Gagnon’s “hateful” Facebook post was a video put out by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation at the beginning of June.

In this video, Jessi Cruickshank, a Canadian actress and media personality, sat at a table with four young children and asked them all kinds of questions about the LGBT community, such as “what does it mean to celebrate gay pride?” and “what do you think about gay marriage?”

Cruickshank also discussed the advantages of having two moms or two dads and talked to the children about what it means to be a “gay icon,” arguing that when she was growing up, Jodie Foster helped her question her own sexuality when she saw the actress appear naked in the film “Nell.” “Not that I remember watching it several times as a child,” Cruickshank said to the camera.

While meant to be a harmless “celebration of sexual diversity,” this video sparked outrage among conservatives and Christians nationwide, Gagnon included, for its tone of indoctrination and its decidedly adult subject material. As Gagnon told The Western Journal, it was a case of “classic indoctrination from beginning to end” filled with “leading questions” to get the children to answer in a certain way. “I thought it was appalling, quite frankly,” he said. “This is an actual example of educational pedagogy, of what should not be done.”

Shortly after the video was released, Gagnon made a post on his own personal Facebook page strongly criticizing the CBC for airing this content using public funds.

Gagnon’s post read as follows: “This clip is about celebrating sexual perversity, not ‘sexual diversity.’ Brought to you by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the Canadian equivalent to our PBS, paid for by tax dollars. No indoctrination or recruitment going on here (or on PBS), right? Any resemblance to Orwell’s Big Brother (or Kim Jong-un) is purely coincidental? It is a measure of how corrupt things have become that this woman is not vilified throughout Canada and legislators are not threatening to remove funding from the CBC. By the end the woman is talking to little children about Jody Foster (sic) helping her to question her own sexuality as a child and about Foster’s nudity in a film.”

On June 14, Facebook notified Gagnon that his post from June 6 “had violated their community standards on hate speech” and that he had been placed under a 24-hour ban, with more serious consequences to follow if he continued to violate their standards. Gagnon told The Western Journal that he had no knowledge of what exactly in his post was considered hate speech.

“Like Big Brother here, the weird thing is, they don’t tell you what specifically in your remarks constitutes hate speech,” he said. “You’re not having a dialogue with any one person, it’s just this anonymous source, and you can’t make a case.”

“There’s no space for me to say ‘here’s my argument,’ which would be tough to make anyway because they didn’t tell me what specifically I did that constituted the hate speech,” he continued.

Gagnon said that he had previously received a warning from Facebook for sharing a friend’s post that was critical of a lesbian political candidate, but he also expressed his uncertainty as to whether or not that prior warning was a reason behind his ban on June 14.

After appealing Facebook’s ban, Gagnon finally heard back from the Facebook Help Team just 22 minutes before his 24 hours were up. “We’re sorry we got it wrong,” the email said. Gagnon said he wasn’t exactly sure what made Facebook reverse their decision, but he did say that many of his friends and colleagues were spreading the word about his ban on social media during those 24 hours.

Gagnon shared his thoughts behind his comments about the video as well as some of his concerns regarding Facebook’s censorship of Christian views in a recent interview with The Western Journal.

When asked why he used the word “perversity” to describe the video in his Facebook post, Gagnon responded that the word just came to him through “creative wordplay,” because of its assonance with diversity. He said to himself, “Here’s a good rhyme on (Cruickshank’s) exultation of sexual diversity: it’s really sexual perversity.”

Gagnon continued, “I mean, the irony of the whole thing is: if you want to celebrate sexual diversity, then there’s no reason to limit yourself simply to same-sex unions. You might as well include everything. Diversity is diversity — viva la diversity!”

He made the argument that if the CBC really wanted to celebrate true sexual diversity, then they should also celebrate things like incest and polyamory, both of which are included under the umbrella of sexual diversity and both of which — he hopes — the CBC would actually have a problem with openly promoting.

When considering the cultural stigma surrounding these taboo relationships, Gagnon’s point becomes clear: none of this material is at all appropriate to be discussing with children. “It’s promotion of sexual diversity without thinking about what that implies,” he said, adding that the conversation in the video was “corrupting their young minds unnecessarily.”

In a world where children are being exposed to mature topics at younger and younger ages, Gagnon emphasized why it matters whether or not kids are included in discussions about sexuality. “It matters because there ought to be a space in a child’s life where they don’t have to think about sexual intercourse … to develop with some degree of innocence with regard to sexual acts.”

“You don’t want to corrupt children too early with explicit sexual discussions over things that they’re not prepared at this point to handle,” he added.

Gagnon said he stands by his decision to call the video a perversity and won’t apologize because same-sex unions are “a violation of something that’s creational.” He argues that one essential aspect of Christianity is the “male-female foundation to sexual ethics,” because “God deliberately created us as a binary sexual pair, complementary to each other.”

He explained that by categorizing his post as “hate speech” for criticism of a homosexual lifestyle, Facebook is “essentially saying that adopting the Christian position here is itself intrinsically or inherently going to promote violence against persons who engage in this behavior. That’s just idiotic from the get-go.”

“Of course, part of the irony is one of (Facebook’s) protected classes has to do with religion. And yet still, now they’re saying that I cannot publicly proclaim something that’s central to the self-definition of the Christian faith,” he said, later adding, “I do have a 500-page book on the subject. It’s not like I’ve hidden in a corner on this viewpoint.”

He continued, “I’m able to publish and all this stuff; I have the freedom to do that. None of my works have ever led to anybody committing violence or anything, I’ve never promoted violence in any of my works. How is it that I can’t have a discussion — a rational, reasonable discussion — on social media about this issue? How is it that that has to be attributed to ‘hate speech?’ The whole thing is ridiculous.”

“It’s not like I’m some guy out of the wahoo somewhere who’s saying these awful, tremendous things, has not even given any ounce of intellectual thought to the issue whatsoever. I mean, I actually do have reasonable arguments, on the religious and philosophical basis for the position that I do hold,” Gagnon said. “It’s not just me. I mean, there are millions and millions of people likewise.”

Gagnon also criticized the hypocritical “tolerance” of liberals in today’s culture, arguing that things used to be different. “Who are they going to keep eliminating until they finally close off all speech? I mean, these are the people who are supposed to be quote-unquote ‘liberal!’ Remember when ‘liberal’ actually did mean tolerance? Actually did mean legitimate diversity? I mean, I’m old enough to remember a period of time when liberals actually believed that rhetoric. Most of them don’t believe that anymore.”

He continued, “It’s such a level of intolerance; it has this whole Orwellian, Big Brother-quality to it: ‘We’re gonna define what you can say and think in any public discourse and you’d better not deviate one iota from that doctrine, from that indoctrination that we’re using.’ It’s a Soviet-style thing, in the old Soviet Communist regime or even the current Communist regime in China.”

Gagnon’s comments on censorship focused on the “kind of lunacy that is now taking hold” of the culture. “It’s like, if you commit X act or you say Y thing, you are psychologically imbalanced. It’s foolishness, it’s complete foolishness.”

He argued that Facebook seems to be considering the Christian viewpoint “disturbed” and that such a bias allows the social media site to discriminate against Christians’ posts without reason or proof of wrongdoing.

“We now have to be disturbed to take the viewpoint that we have, and if they say that we’re disturbed, they don’t actually have to argue a position anymore. Facebook administrators are not interested in arguing with you or debating with you over whether this is hate speech. You simply are. You’re imbalanced, you’re somebody that’s an evil individual, no dialogue need be had at this point.”

He concluded, “In fact, that’s what they’re trying to do with these kinds of ‘community standards,’ so-called, is close off any debate or discussion on the issue.”

Gagnon said he is glad his situation has reached the attention of so many, arguing that the coverage sheds light on Facebook’s hidden agenda. “My point is: if you’re gonna do it in secret, do it in darkness, this evil that you’re doing, I’m going to give you all the bad publicity I can possibly give you, accordingly, to say ‘look, you are singling me out.’”

Gagnon is a former associate professor at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and has long been vocal about his opposition to same-sex practices. His book, “The Bible and Homosexual Practice: Texts and Hermeneutics,” published in 2001, is an in-depth analysis of how and where the Bible affirms that homosexual intercourse is a sin.

Although he addresses controversial topics in his work, Gagnon told The Western Journal, “I try to stay as non-controversial as possible, but I seem to fail repeatedly in my efforts.” (For more from the author of “Facebook Bans Christian Professor Over Criticism of Video Recruiting Children as ‘Gay Allies’” please click HERE)

Now Hollywood Lib Targeting Don Jr’s 4-Year-Old Girl… ’We’re Coming for Her’

. . .Pat Dussault, a Hollywood writer most recently credited for several episodes of Chop Chop Ninja, is coming under fire for his response to Trump Jr. who had criticized Fonda’s sick suggestion that Barron Trump be kidnapped and raped. . .

“I sincerely apologize to Donald Trump Jr & his family for the reckless tweet that I posted earlier today,” Dussault wrote.

Several things here. First, I don’t know if there’s ever any particularly great way to apologize for suggesting that someone’s 4-year-old daughter ought to be raped, but trying to emphasize that it was a “totally inappropriate attempt at humor” isn’t it.

Second, I always love the boilerplate language emphasizing that they’re alone responsible for what they had to say. Was anyone attributing his words to someone else?

Collusion: Twitter CEO Found Sharing Russian Propaganda

. . .Now, you can add “The Emperor’s New Clothes” to the list of cautionary tales that Twitter is emulating. Even after the company claimed to be on a crusade against so-called “trolls” and inaccurate news sources, it’s CEO was just revealed to be spreading the same “fake news” he pretends to be against.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey shared over a dozen tweets around the time of the presidential election which originated from an account that investigators now know to be part of a Russian trolling operation.

Dorsey “between late 2016 and mid-2017 shared at least 17 tweets from a Russian troll who went by Crystal1Johnson on Twitter, the Journal’s analysis found,” the respected newspaper stated.

“The tweets from the Russian account that Mr. Dorsey shared touched on topics including Bob Marley’s son converting a prison into a place to grow marijuana and former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who first sparked the anthem controversy to make a statement on the treatment of African-Americans in the U.S.,” The Wall Street Journal continued.

While Dorsey did not originate the “fake news” tweets, he willingly shared them, despite the fact that they were from unconfirmed news sources known to be connected to the Internet Research Agency, a Russian propaganda effort. (Read more from “Twitter CEO Found Sharing Russian Propaganda” HERE)

Maxine Waters: Harass Trump Officials at Gas Stations, Restaurants, and Shopping Malls

On Saturday night, California Congresswoman Maxine Waters encouraged the type of recent protests against President Trump as seen in several Washington, DC and Virginia area restaurants, saying that she has “no sympathy” for those who serve in the administration and that the public should “turn on them” and “absolutely harass” White House officials while they are doing normal every day activities.

Rep. Waters (D-CA) has called for President Trump’s impeachment in the past, even leading chants at rallies saying, “Impeach 45! Impeach 45!”. Yesterday, “Auntie Maxine”, as she is affectionately known amongst her fans, added her name to a growing list of Democratic officials who are calling for Department of Homeland Security Sec. Kirstjen Nielsen to resign due to her handling of the child-migrant crisis at the US-Mexican border.

Rep. Waters then went further, adding that members of the Trump administration who continue to serve and defend the president should be harangued at gas stations, restaurants, and while shopping at department stores. “They know what they are doing is wrong,” said Rep. Waters. And for that, the public should ridicule and protest them every chance they get, according to the California congresswoman. The scrutiny should be so bad that it forces officials such as Sec. Nielsen to “tell the President ‘No, this is wrong. I can’t hang with you. This is unconscionable. We can’t keep doing this to children,” she adds.
