Watch: Entire Crew Survives After Vintage Plane Crashes on Runway

A WWII-era plane was destroyed, but all 13 people aboard walked away after the plane crashed on takeoff Saturday.

The C-47 “Bluebonnet Belle” crashed at the Burnet Municipal Airport in Texas, the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office said, according to Fox News.

Although all 13 people aboard escaped the crash, one person suffered serious burn injuries and was airlifted to South Austin Medical Center, according to KTBC. Seven other people were injured.

A video of the plane trying to take off shows that after an unsteady takeoff, the plane’s left wing appeared to strike the ground after the plane briefly became airborne.

The Federal Aviation Administration and Texas Department of Public Safety will investigate the crash.

The plane is owned by the Highland Lakes Squadron, which is part of the Commemorative Air Force. It works to preserve WWII-era planes. The plane was heading to Wisconsin for an air show when it crashed, KTXS reported.

Chris Dowelof the Highland Lakes Squadron said some aboard were CAF volunteers, while others were guests and family members, CNN reported.

“We are thankful the aircrew was able to exit the aircraft. Our hearts go out to them and their families as they recover,” said CAF President Bob Stenevik.

“Unfortunately, the historic aircraft will not be able to be restored. Our volunteer members work very hard to keep these aircrafts flying and it is a loss for the entire organization,” he said.

According to the group, the plane was built in 1944 and was sent to Britain for its use during World War II. The group said the plane flew 75 missions. In 2017, it was used to bring relief supplies to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Dowel said the group has suffered a loss but will continue.

“We spend a lot of time and energy maintaining these aircrafts,” Dowell said. “It becomes part of your family. It becomes part of your life.”

“We have an air show scheduled in September, right here in Burnet,” Dowell said. “That air show will continue.” (For more from the author of “Watch: Entire Crew Survives After Vintage Plane Crashes on Runway” please click HERE)

Trump’s DOJ Releases Carter Page FISA Documents, Leftists Are in Trouble

In an unprecedented move, the Department of Justice has released 412 pages of top secret documents related to surveillance conducted against former Trump campaign chairman Carter Page. . .

A memo released by Committee Chairman Devin Nunes has revealed that the Justice Department and FBI relied heavily on the Democrat-funded Steele dossier in the FISA applications, despite the dossier being mostly uncorroborated now and at the time it was used in the applications.

In the dossier, former British spy Christopher Steele alleged that during a trip to Moscow in July 2016, Page met secretly with two sanctioned Kremlin insiders, Igor Sechin and Igor Diveykin, as part of a collusion scheme involving the Trump campaign. . .

“This is an unprecedented moment in FOIA transparency, as never before has a FISA warrant been processed for release,” Bradley Moss, a national security attorney who filed one of the numerous lawsuits for the Page documents, told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“Now, with the actual documents in hand, not political spin written by lawmakers with agendas, the American public can make their own decision on whether anything was inappropriate about the surveillance of Carter Page,” added Moss. F-16 Fighter Jet Swarms Private Trump Golf Course After Major Security Threat

By Conservative Tribune. Security officials in charge of protecting the president got a bit of a scare on Saturday when an Air Force F-16 fighter jet was forced to intercept a suspicious airplane.

According to the Associated Press, the F-16 was scrambled after a general aviation aircraft was flying unreasonably close to a Trump-owned golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey.

That’s where President Donald Trump is staying for the weekend, prompting heightened security that includes aviation restrictions for local pilots.

The interception occurred around noon on the 21st, after the small plane apparently ignored a restricted zone and was not responding to radio calls. Officials said the aircraft was flying “without proper clearances or communications.”

“Continental U.S. North American Aerospace Defense Command says the intercepted aircraft landed at an airport in Pittstown, N.J. without incident, where local law enforcement met the pilot,” the AP elaborated. Father of Two Parkland Survivors Senselessly Murdered

A man whose two children survived the Florida school massacre was shot to death in a robbery this week.

Ayub Ali, 61, was putting merchandise on shelves in his North Lauderdale, Florida, convenience store on Tuesday when his store was robbed, Fox News reported.

“The suspect entered Aunt Molly’s Food Store. He took money from the cash register and left. The thief returned shortly after and shot Ali,” the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release, according to the Miami Herald. The sheriff’s office released a video of the incident on Thursday.

On Friday, Tyrone Fields Jr., 19, surrendered to police in connection with the death, WSVN reported. Fields has been charged with murder and armed robbery.

“The homicide detectives’ investigation led them to an associate of Fields’ who encouraged him to meet with law enforcement,” according to police spokeswoman Joy Oglesby, the Miami Herald reported.

Family members could not understand why the robber, having taken cash, returned to kill Ali.

“If you came for the money, take the money and go,” said his widow, Farhana, according to CNN. “Why did you have to kill my husband?”

Joaquin Nieves had come to leave flowers at the store Saturday.

“They caught him, Ali. They got him. They got him, papi. Don’t worry, you can rest in peace up there now,” said Nieves. “God bless. I’m so glad they caught him.”

He said whoever killed Ali deserves to be punished.

“He deserves to get whatever he gets, I don’t care what he is, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican, Haitian, I don’t care, he needs to go to jail,” Nieves said, according to CBS.

Ali is survived by his wife and four children, two of whom were students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, the scene of a Februrary school shooting that left 17 people dead. Ali’s children were not injured.

Ali was remembered fondly after his death.

“He was a very generous person and a nice person and like my younger brother he is from the same village in Bangladesh. He was a very religious person and very friendly. It is very sad. It is very sad. These things happen but this is so unfortunate,” family spokesman Mirza Mustaque said, WFOR reported. A Case for Exorcism? Transgender Ax Attacker Says He Was Possessed by a Demon Urging Him to ‘Rise Hell on Earth’

An Australian man who identifies as a transgender woman defended himself in court on Thursday, claiming that he was either possessed by a demon or his mind was addled by drugs and therefore it was his body, not him, who attacked people at a 7-Eleven with an ax last year.

Evie Amati, the 26-year-old suspect, does not deny being bodily present at the time, but claims his* mind was somewhere else. Amati allegedly attacked two people with an ax at a 7-Eleven on January 7, 2017. The suspect then reportedly swung the ax twice at a man outside who managed to avoid the blows. Amati has pleaded not guilty to six charges, including two counts of wounding with intent to murder.

In court, Amati’s lawyer Charles Waterstreet asked, “At that stage, had you any idea of the damage that you’d done to persons by your body’s actions?” To this, the defendant responded, “No.”

The court had previously heard that Amati could not remember the incident. On Thursday, the transgender suspect developed the drug and demon possession defense, the Sydney Morning Herald reported. . .

His last memory before waking up in the hospital the day after the attack was sitting on the balcony, hearing a voice “that had been telling me to kill and maim and inflict pain on people and start the rise of hell on earth.”

Russia Dumps Almost All U.S. Bonds Due to ‘Geopolitical Risk,’ Buys Billions in Gold

The Russian government has drastically reduced their holdings of United States Treasury bonds, with Russian ownership of U.S. bonds declining from $96.1 billion in March to $48.7 billion in April—and then further reducing their holdings to just $14.9 billion in May; an 11-year low.

A gradual Russian sell-off of U.S. sovereign debt began in 2011 and has intensified over the years as Washington has continued to impose sanctions against Russia. To put the massive sell-off into perspective, in 2010, Russia was among the top 10 holders of US Treasuries at $176.3 billion.

The Treasury released a list of 33 countries on Tuesday, which included the biggest holder, China, which held $1.2 trillion of US debt in May. Russia was not on the list, as there is a $30 billion threshold for inclusion on the Treasury Department’s monthly report of major sovereign debt holders.

A U.S. Treasury bond is a fixed-interest government debt security with a maturity of more than 10 years. Treasury bonds make interest payments twice a year.

Elvira Nabiullina, director of the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) said in May that the dramatic reduction of U.S. Treasury holdings was a result of the systematic risk assessment, which included financial, economic and geopolitical risk, according to RT.

In turn, Russia has been buying large amounts of gold during its gradual sell-off of U.S. Treasury bonds, and it recently overtook China as the world’s biggest holder of gold with $80.5 billion worth.

The global head of debt and rates strategy at ING, Padhraic Garvey, said that for Russia it equated to “moving from a safe asset to an ultra-safe asset,” in reference to the move from U.S. Treasury bonds to gold.

To be clear, the impetus for the move from Treasury bonds into gold coincides with a desire to breakaway from the hegemony of the U.S. petrodollar and the global dollar-based payment systems.

Over 60 percent of global reserves and 80 percent of global payments are currently denominated in U.S. dollars, according to James Rickards, author of Currency Wars.

The reason gold is so critical is that it cannot be manipulated by U.S.-based economic warfare, as it cannot be frozen out as other forms of digital and paper fiat can be.

Gold can simply be loaded onto pallets and shipped to another state to make a payment, thus bypassing targeted economic sanctions that are often used by the United States as a means of attempting to force geopolitical compliance by Russia and other countries. The strategic significance of gold is so great, that even when oil prices and Russian financial reserves were collapsing in 2015, they continued to acquire gold.

Additionally, the U.S. is the only country with veto power at the International Monetary Fund, known as the global lender of last resort. Thus, one of the most crucial weapons wielded by Russia, in its war to free itself from the hegemony of the petrodollar, is gold.

With the petrodollar being utilized as a weapon by the U.S. in a time of increased economic warfare, gold is a clearly a means of bypassing U.S. sanctions.

“Gold is an asset that is independent of any government and, in effect, given what is usually held in reserves, any Western government,” said Matthew Turner, metals analyst at Macquarie Group in London.“This might appeal given Russia has faced financial sanctions.”

With the recent launch of Chinese Yuan-denominated oil futures, and more sanctions being imposed on Russia—one can’t help but wonder if this rapid sell-off of U.S. Treasury holdings was meant as a test of sorts to assess the potential impact of a rapid Chinese liquidation of Treasury bonds. ICE Just Arrested Dozens of Illegal Aliens in a Sanctuary City, Something Terrifying Was Revealed About the Majority

Immigration and Customs Enforcement, an agency many Democrats want to abolish, recently conducted a raid in Newark, New Jersey and arrested dozens of illegal aliens. The overwhelming majority have serious criminal records.

ICE targeted Illegal aliens who had been incarcerated in the Middlesex County Jail and released into the community by local law enforcement without notice to federal immigration officials. The aliens arrested had ICE detainers that were not honored. Newark is a “sanctuary city.”

“Of those arrested, 16 subjects had been previously released by MCJ without honoring the ICE detainer and 78% had prior criminal convictions or pending criminal charges. The individuals arrested as part of the operation were nationals of Brazil, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Ivory Coast, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, and Turkey,” ICE released Friday. “These individuals range from 21 to 68 years old and all were previously arrested or convicted of a variety of offenses. Some of the arrests and convictions included: aggravated criminal sexual contact, aggravated assault, DUI, hindering apprehension, endangering the welfare of a child, battery, theft, burglary, possession of a weapon, forgery, domestic violence assault, disorderly conduct, and illegal entry.”

ICE also provided additional details on the individuals released by Middlesex County Jail. Here are a few (bolding is mine):

A 32-year-old citizen of Mexico was arrested by the New Brunswick Police Department on August 12, 2016, in Middlesex County for Aggravated Sexual Assault- Helpless Victim, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, Sexual Assault-Force/Coercion, and Criminal Sexual Contact and booked into the Middlesex County Jail. On August 16, 2016, ICE issued a detainer. On May 18, 2018, he was convicted of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact and sentenced to 644 days’ time served, parole supervision for life and registration under Megan’s Law. On May 21, 2018, Middlesex County Jail refused to honor the detainer and he was released.

Here’s the Weird Reason Michael Cohen Asked to Have a Meeting With Al Sharpton

Al Sharpton told MSNBC’s Ali Velshi about his meeting with Michael Cohen, the former lawyer of President Donald Trump, on the day that it was leaked that he had record tapes of Trump talking about payments to a Playboy model. . .

In the interview on MSNBC, Sharpton said that he had known Cohen for a long time because he had often reached out to Donald Trump about civil rights issues before he became president.

“I had happened to run into him several weeks ago,” Sharpton explained, “we just spoke to each other, because I’ve known him down through the years, whenever we’ve had differences with Mr. Trump on social justice issues and have different, I would say combative kind of meetings, Michael Cohen who was the one who would arrange the meeting, he was the one who would try to get all sides together. Usually unsuccessfully, but he always was a straight honest kind of person.” . . .

“He was very very adamant that he was opposed to some of the things Mr. Trump was doing,” he added, “like attacking the media, he felt that that was wrong. And it was a very very serious Michael Cohen that I met with this morning, about he was in a situation he feels, he was unfairly thrust upon.”

Sharpton said that the very fact that Cohen could have met with countless other people but reached out to him was a signal to President Trump. He also said that Cohen wanted to make it clear that he was acting independently from the president, and that he wanted to do the right thing for the country and for his family. Witch Hunt: Officials Reopen Investigation Against Christian Baker Despite Her Court Win

Tastries Bakery owner Cathy Miller won her court case against a same-sex couple in February after they sued her for declining to cater their wedding. The State of California requested a preliminary injunction to either force Miller to design wedding cakes for same-sex couples or not create wedding cakes at all. In his ruling, Judge David Lampe noted that the anti-discrimination policy in the state was “the stuff of tyranny.” If Lampe had sided with the California officials, Miller could have lost 40 percent of her revenue.

The Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund, the counsel representing Miller, reminded state officials about the First Amendment while the case was still ongoing.

“Cathy would never discriminate against anyone who walks through her bakery’s doors. She will gladly serve anyone, including same-sex couples,” FCDF’s chief counsel Charles LiMandri said. “But Cathy will not use her artistic talents to express messages that conflict with her sincerely held religious beliefs about marriage. We are pleased that the judge recognized that the First Amendment protects Cathy’s freedom of speech.” . . .

Yet, now, the California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing is relaunching its administrative investigation of the bakery owner.

“This is a witch hunt,” LiMandri said in a statement Thursday. “Once again, the California government is proving that it will stop at nothing to punish Cathy for her Christian faith.” (Read more from “Witch Hunt: Officials Reopen Investigation Against Christian Baker Despite Her Court Win” HERE)

NFL Caves, Puts Temporary Hold on Anthem Protest Policy

. . .Hours after The Associated Press reported that Miami Dolphins players who protest on the field during the anthem could be suspended for up to four games under a team policy issued this week, the league and the players union issued a joint statement late Thursday night saying the two sides are talking things out.

“The NFL and NFLPA, through recent discussions, have been working on a resolution to the anthem issue. In order to allow this constructive dialogue to continue, we have come to a standstill agreement on the NFLPA’s grievance and on the NFL’s anthem policy. No new rules relating to the anthem will be issued or enforced for the next several weeks while these confidential discussions are ongoing,” the statement read.

“The NFL and NFLPA reflect the great values of America, which are repeatedly demonstrated by the many players doing extraordinary work in communities across our country to promote equality, fairness, and justice. Our shared focus will remain on finding a solution to the anthem issue through mutual, good faith commitments, outside of litigation.” . . .

The NFL rule that was passed in May forbids players from sitting or taking a knee if they are on the field or sidelines during “The Star-Spangled Banner,” but allows them to stay in the locker room if they wish. The policy said teams would be fined if players didn’t stand during the anthem while on the field. The league left it up to teams on how to punish players.

None of the team policies had been made public until the AP obtained a copy of Miami’s nine-page discipline document. It included a one-sentence section on “Proper Anthem Conduct” and was provided to the AP by a person familiar with the policy who insisted on anonymity because the document is not public. It classifies anthem protests under a large list of “conduct detrimental to the club,” all of which could lead to a paid or unpaid suspension, a fine or both.
