Putin Calls Collusion ‘Utter Nonsense’ – Asks Reporter This IMPORTANT Question

By The Daily Caller. Russian president Vladimir Putin called collusion between Trump and Russia “utter nonsense” during a joint press conference Monday.

“We should be guided by facts. Could you name a single fact that would definitively prove the collusion?” Putin asked a reporter who asked about collusion.

“It is utter nonsense. Just like the president recently mentioned.” (Read more from “Putin Calls Collusion ‘Utter Nonsense’ – Asks Reporter This Important Question” HERE)

Donald Trump Meets Vladimir Putin: The Key Moments From the Summit

By ABC News. Standing alongside the man accused of coordinating an interference campaign in the election, Mr Trump defended Mr Putin and called the probe headed up by former FBI director Robert Mueller a “disaster”. . .

When asked if he would denounce what happened in 2016, Mr Trump responded: “I have great confidence in my intelligence people but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today …” . . .

The Russian leader also confirmed international suspicions and the assessments of the US intelligence community that he was rooting for Mr Trump over Hillary Clinton during the 2016 US presidential election.

“Yes, I did,” Mr Putin said, when asked if he wanted Mr Trump to win.

“Yes, I did. Because he talked about bringing the US-Russia relationship back to normal.”

Fox Host Shocks Panel When He Drops Country Actually Influencing Elections

By The Daily Caller. Fox News television host Tucker Carlson explained that the country that has had the greatest influence on the United States’ elections is actually Mexico for “packing our electorate” on The Five Monday night.

“It’s very hard at least for me, Tucker, to take that media response to this seriously. Since it’s always been at an incredible high pitch,” Greg Gutfeld, one of the show’s hosts said. “I’m wondering if this is because the media is blaming Putin for Hillary’s loss and they are constantly demanding their pound of flesh and nothing will ever be enough.”

“Of course they are trying to interfere in our affairs. They have a long time. Many countries do. Some more successfully than Russia like Mexico, which is routinely interfering in our elections by packing our electorate. I don’t understand why we need to believe that Russia is the primary issue of American political life,” Carlson responded. Rep. Diane Black: Ending Illegal Immigration Starts With Zero Tolerance

By Washington Examiner. We are a blessed and compassionate nation filled with people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and countries. That’s what makes America great.

But we’re a great nation because we were founded on the principle of law and order. And right now we have a problem.

When it comes to illegal immigration, many people don’t know that under current law, crossing the border illegally for the first time is classified as only a misdemeanor — with punishment equal to that of petty theft or public intoxication. When immigrants cross the border without going through the proper channels and designated areas, they are breaking the law. Plain and simple.

President Trump has been resoundingly clear on illegal immigration since he began his campaign: We must put American citizens first, fix the system, and secure the border. While I have introduced the Border Wall Trust Fund Act to fund the construction and maintenance of a barrier along our southern border, I believe the next step is to disincentivize illegal immigration from the very beginning.

The Zero Tolerance for Illegal Entry Act would establish a minimum prison sentence of one year and one day for unlawfully entering our country, making it a felony. The larger significance of this is that once you receive a felony conviction and you try to enter again, by legal means, you will not be able to obtain a green card. The goal of my bill is to provide a deterrent for breaking the law; hiring new judges and lawyers alone to prosecute criminals is not going to simply fix the issue. It’s going to be fixed by addressing the heart of the problem. (Read more from “Rep. Diane Black: Ending Illegal Immigration Starts With Zero Tolerance” HERE)

Putin’s Plea to Donald Trump During Meeting

President Trump’s meeting with Russian President Putin in Helsinki, Finland on Monday generated widespread media controversy about the U.S. president’s purported servility.

However, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s plea to the United States to rig the world oil market revealed the vulnerability of his own country.

“I think that we as a major oil and gas power, and the United States as a major oil and gas power as well, we could work together on regulation of international markets, because neither of us is actually interested in the plummeting of the prices,” Putin said. . .

The Russian government is particularly sensitive to oil price volatility since its financing is heavily dependent on oil and gas revenue. In January, the Russian government exhausted its reserve fund by merging it with the National Welfare Fund to cover budget shortfalls, the country’s Ministry of Finance announced.

On Monday, world oil prices plunged over the potential release of global crude reserves and U.S. diplomatic talk over potential Iranian oil sanction waivers, Market Watch reported. Downward pressure from the International Monetary Fund’s projected sluggish global economic growth contributed to a decline in benchmark Brent crude prices on the ICE futures exchange to its lowest showing in three months: a 4.6% decline to close at $71.84 a barrel. How to Nullify an Election

Horses are big business in Kentucky, and even schoolboys were aware of the controversy in Louisville 50 years ago. It began with the horse race on the first Saturday in May, so far as we knew.

With Kentucky Gov. Louie Nunn and presidential candidate Richard Nixon watching from the stands, Dancer’s Image came from dead last, 14 lengths back, to pass 13 horses and cross the wire a length and a half ahead of Forward Pass. Nunn chuckled as Nixon dramatically tore his losing ticket in half.

But Nixon may have been a little hasty, depending on which horse he picked. Three days after the race, Churchill Downs stewards ordered Boston car dealer Peter Fuller to return the trophy and winning purse, and named Forward Pass the 1968 Kentucky Derby winner. Post race testing revealed that Dancer’s Image had phenylbutazone in his blood sample.

It’s an anti-inflammatory painkiller, used routinely nowadays when horses suffer swelling in their joints. But in 1968 it was illegal at Kentucky racetracks. Fuller’s veterinarian prescribed it during training, but allowed six days for it to clear from the horse’s bloodstream before the race. Fuller, his veterinarian and the horse’s trainer were at a loss to explain why Dancer’s Image still had phenylbutazone in his system on race day.

I was an odd 8th-grader who read Racing Form past performance charts fluently and had committed a lot of racing trivia to memory. But we were also a politically conscious family. My dad ran for the House of Representatives on “Clean Gene” McCarthy’s antiwar slate in Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District. Bobby Kennedy was campaigning for the presidential nomination across the river in Indiana.

Martin Luther King was shot down exactly one month before the 1968 Derby, but he was in Louisville one year earlier to help local Blacks, led by his brother, A.D. King, protest housing discrimination.

Locals had disrupted a race at Churchill Downs the previous year, and wanted to disrupt the 1967 Derby, but King persuaded them to hold the protests downtown instead, due to the potential for mayhem at the track.

In April 1968, Fuller entered Dancer’s Image in a tune-up for the Derby, the Wood Memorial Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack in New York City.

When his horse won, Fuller donated the purse to the recently widowed Coretta Scott King. I’ve seen two different numbers – $62,000 and $77,415. Either way, it was a lot of money in 1968 dollars. He didn’t publicize it, but it was common knowledge at the track, and a race announcer mentioned it on television.

The gift made friends and enemies for Fuller. There was hate mail. There were anonymous death threats. There was a mysterious fire at one of his stables. So he asked Churchill Downs management to put on extra security. They refused.

Fuller was a pretty demanding guy. He was an ex-Marine and the son of a Republican ex-governor. His father was one of the wealthiest men in America, and Fuller was no slouch, himself.

After growing up in a household with 11 domestic servants, Fuller was accustomed to having his way. It was customary to provide Derby horse owners with four tickets. He demanded 50.

The brash, hard-charging Yankee may have alienated courtly Southerners he should have tried to charm. Instead, he made condescending remarks about “rednecks.”

The bottom line is that he didn’t get the extra security from Churchill Downs, and he didn’t hire his own. Security at his race barn, he recalled, was “an old fella in a chair and asleep.”

Fuller said later he believed he was “set up,” that some unknown intruder entered his horse’s stall to inject the disqualifying phenylbutazone. Either that or the blood sample was adulterated.

Fuller appealed the track stewards’ decision to the Kentucky Racing Commission, and lost. He took his case to court and won in 1970. Dancer’s Image was once again the 1968 Kentucky Derby winner.

But then the State of Kentucky took that decision up to a federal appeals court, and won its case against Fuller and Dancer’s Image. That was final. Fuller said he spent $250,000 on his futile lawsuits.

A billboard at his horse farm in New Hampshire boasts stubbornly that it is the home of Dancer’s Image, 1968 Kentucky Derby winner. But that sign is false.

Forward Pass is the 1968 Kentucky Derby winner. The colt was no fluke, either – he went on to win the Preakness, and barely missed a Triple Crown sweep June 1 after leading the Belmont til final sixteenth pole.

Three days later, as 13-year-olds were starting summer vacation, there was another tragedy in the real world, the second in two months. that made horse racing seem awfully frivolous.

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore,” wrote poet Emma Lazarus, addressing the Old World. “Send these, the tempest-tossed to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”

And so Palestinian immigrant Bishara Sirhan brought his family to America. The poet also bade the Old World “keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp.” But when Bishara brought his 12-year-old son Sirhan Sirhan from Jerusalem to California, he imported a monstrous ego and many centuries of ancient hatreds to his American sanctuary.

The younger Sirhan appeared Westernized in his teens, with a pompadour hair style, and even in old age today he looks like a kind gentleman. But he testified in court that he assassinated Bobby Kennedy “with 20 years of malice aforethought.” His diary confirmed that he was seething with resentment against Jews, and against the New York Senator who favored selling fighter jets to Israel.

He cased the Los Angeles hotel where Kennedy would watch primary election results with supporters. Kennedy won the California and South Dakota presidential primaries June 4. Incumbent President Lyndon Johnson had long since bowed out of the race. There was great hopefulness among Americans who had supported the late president John F. Kennedy eight years earlier.

As Bobby Kennedy left the celebration through a hotel kitchen, the angry immigrant intercepted the triumphant candidate and put three bullets in him, one in the head and two in the back. Like phenylbutazone, Sirhan nullified the victory. And in my mind’s eye, I see Richard Nixon piecing the shreds of his Derby ticket back together.

Of course, it’s anybody’s guess how the world might have been different if Bobby Kennedy were elected president that November instead of Richard Nixon. Like his older brother, he had a penchant for adultery. But he was Catholic, under the influence of a prominent Cardinal. Unlike his younger brother Teddy, he didn’t try to harmonize public policy with his personal immorality.

If older brother John’s lone nomination to the Supreme Court is any indication. a Court populated by three Bobby Kennedy nominations might have decided Roe v. Wade differently. Byron White, JFK’s appointment to the Court, not only dissented from Roe, but from all subsequent decisions that applied it as binding precedent.

Nixon, by contrast to JFK, nominated pro-abortion Justices Lewis Powell and Harry Blackmun, and pro-abortion Chief Justice Warren Burger to the Court.

If Bobby Kennedy had filled those Supreme Court vacancies with the same kind of Justices as Byron White, they might have combined with William Rehnquist and White to form a 5-4 majority for the protection of unborn children. Tens of millions of American children might have been spared the abortion holocaust that ensued after Roe v. Wade, and continues today. Thanks to Sirhan Sirhan and the people who welcomed him to our country, we’ll never know for sure.

“1968 was a horrific year,” Fuller said.

James Woods Goes off on Hillary in What Could Be His Best Tweet Ever

Hillary Clinton is on the comeback trail. She’s officially out of the woods, running second in polls regarding 2020 Democrat contenders and is even portraying herself as a woman of the people by flying commercial transportation (a short trip on Delta which seemed to have a conspicuous number of media figures present at the airport and on the flight).

All of these facts ought to be great news for conservatives. Please, let’s have a 2020 rematch, except one where Hillary won’t have a two-to-one advantage in campaign funds, one where Trump has already proven himself as a reliable conservative and one where the Democrats continue to drift further and further to the left without any real evidence that’s where the electorate is going.

Perhaps the recent trip on Delta was darkly apropos one, since one trivia Twitter account decided to post a surprising fact about your chances of becoming the president of this great country.

. . .

Hrm. Who could it be? I don’t think it’s Martha from “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” Then again, it certainly sounds like someone who might be experiencing the same marital issues she was…

By the way, rumors of Hillary’s boozing aren’t exactly idle speculation. One of the trove WikiLeaks emails instructs John Podesta to “sober her up some,” which could have been a joke.

House Democrats Are Afraid of Putting ‘Abolish ICE’ on Their Voting Record

House Democrats are cowards.

That’s right, they’re afraid of taking their radical open-borders zealotry and putting it on the record for the American people to see in broad daylight. After #AbolishICE protests became all the rage on the Left in recent weeks, several Democratic lawmakers decided to take up the call and adopt the position that the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency should be abolished. A few politically calculating House Democrats even thought it would be a good idea to introduce a bill in Congress to abolish ICE. That is an absurd and extreme position.

Well, now House Republicans are calling the Democrats’ bluff and saying,”Okay, you want to Abolish ICE? Let’s vote on it.” Republicans are bringing the bill up for a vote on the floor of the House, the idea being to expose these radicals for what they are or to show that they’re cynically playing to their base without seriously supporting abolishing ICE.

Well, lo and behold, here’s how the three Democrats who introduced the #AbolishICE bill are responding to getting a vote on their legislation:

And here’s the reaction from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (all Democrats), via the Washington Examiner:

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus formally announced its opposition to legislation that would abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE, dissolving its duties into other departments.

The Democrats-only Hispanic Caucus issued a statement late Thursday night after House Republican leadership said it plans to bring the bill to floor — a political move to put Democrats on the record ahead of the November elections.

“Simply terminating ICE fails to address President Trump’s underlying cruel immigration policies and priorities that target families and children,” Hispanic Caucus Chair Michelle Lujan Grisham, D-N.M., said in a statement. “Any federal agency charged with conducting immigration enforcement, regardless of their name or place on an organizational chart, will continue to implement Trump’s depraved immigration priorities.”

The Democrats don’t actually want to vote on a bill to abolish ICE. They know that most voters support the agency, whose work involves fighting human smuggling and other deplorable crimes. They’re circus clowns, putting on a show to rile up their base and then getting embarrassed when Republicans pull their pants down in front of their audience. Seriously? CBS News Surprised to Find out the Border Open and Unsafe

A CBS News reporter appeared shocked and afraid after witnessing an illegal border crossing near Roma, Texas. The reporter said he and his film crew were threatened by a “scout” who told them the area was not safe and to go away.

CBS News reporter David Begnaud traveled to Roma, Texas, this week to cover a story about Texas landowners getting notices about a proposed border wall. While shooting a segment along the river border, he was shocked to see a group of illegal immigrants making their way across the river in broad daylight a few hundred yards from a U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. He was even more shocked when a man with a two-way radio approached them and told them to leave.

“What was surprising for us to see is that this happened in broad daylight about a hundred yards from that international bridge,” Begnaud said while gesturing to the port of entry, “where there are dozens of Customs and Border Protection officers.”

He seemed shocked that CBP officers processing vehicles and pedestrian traffic on the bridge did not notice three people on a makeshift raft making their way from Mexico to Texas.

Begnaud described being confronted by a man who he later called a “scout.” The “scout” is a person who likely works directly for the cartels that control all illegal crossings of humans and drugs across the Rio Grande River. Country Might Drop Psychiatric Requirements for Transgender Individuals Seeking Hormone Therapy

Ireland is considering letting transgender persons receive hormone therapy without undergoing any kind of psychiatric evaluation by a medical professional as is currently required under Irish law.

Ireland’s Minister for Health Simon Harris will meet with transgender activists in August and September to determine if it might be appropriate to abandon the current regulations around access to hormone therapy to help transgender individuals transition from their biological sex to the sex of their choice, The Times reported.

The consideration comes after the World Health Organization (WHO) ruled on June 19 that gender dysphoria is no longer a mental condition. . .

Four out of 10 transgender Americans have attempted suicide, according to a 2015 poll by the National Center for Transgender Equality. That rate is nearly nine times greater than the suicide rate among all Americans, according to the poll.

Biological males undergoing hormone therapy to become female have a much higher risk for blood clots than biological men and women, a Tuesday study from the Annals of Internal Medicine found. The study also shows that males who transition to become female don’t experience any of the benefits bestowed upon biological females, like a lower risk for heart disease. Uber Drivers Starting ‘The Resistance’ – Here’s How One Treated GOP Volunteers

Six Republican campaign volunteers say they were kicked out of an Uber on Saturday as their driver told them “welcome to the resistance.”

The six volunteers were told halfway to their destination in Raleigh, North Carolina, to exit the vehicle at a gas station because the driver “had the right to deny us service,” Mary Russell, one of the riders in the Uber told The Daily Caller News Foundation. The six riders exited the car and were told “welcome to the resistance” as the driver drove away.

“It was clear based on our mild conservative political talk that the driver realized we were Republicans,” Russell, who was the rider who ordered the Uber, told The DCNF. After the incident, she received a message from Uber saying that she was inappropriate towards her driver.

“I reviewed the relevant policy of Uber and we did not use ‘inappropriate and abusive language or gestures’ that would result in the early termination of a ride,” Russell said. “This type of discrimination against politically oriented conservatives should be against the policy of Uber.” Russell said the group then requested another ride, and experienced no problems with that driver. . .

“For an individual to blatantly target Young Republicans for their political outlook is an assault on the freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment. While business owners should have the freedom to provide the service as the see fit, once a contract has been entered, breaking that contract is inappropriate and to do so based on discrimination for political beliefs is unlawful,” he told The DCNF. Convicted Killer Running as Democrat for Vacant Senate Seat

By Conservative Tribune. You’ve seen the “Hillary for Prison” signs — but it looks like even if the presidential election loser ever ended up behind bars, she should could just call her cell “Democrat Campaign Headquarters” and run again.

Alright, the chances of the former secretary of state either going to jail or making another White House run are both pretty slim at this point. However, a twisted political campaign in Minnesota is paving the way for even hardened criminals to run for office — and shockingly, a number of liberals are completely fine with that prospect.

That leftist-leaning state is where one convicted murderer is trying to be elected to U.S. Senate after he found a loophole in the law that allowed him to run.

Leonard Richards, 75, is serving a life sentence for killing two people. Parole is out of the question, but he now wants voters to send him to Washington. . .

“He is now seeking the nomination of Minnesota’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party, which will hold its primary Aug. 14,” the outlet continued. “Richards is looking to upset U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who has held the seat since 2007.” (Read more from “Convicted Killer Running as Democrat for Vacant Senate Seat” HERE)

Convicted Murderer Serving Life in Prison Running for Senate Seat

By NY Post. A prison inmate serving a life term for two murders is running for a U.S. Senate seat in Minnesota. And it’s legal.

Minnesota law bars inmates from running for state-level offices, but they can run for federal office. Leonard Richards is keenly aware of the loophole, and he’s unsuccessfully sought federal office several times despite serving a prison sentence that offers no parole, the Star Tribune reported.

Richards, 75, was convicted of killing his half-sister, May Wilson, in 1982, and of fatally shooting his lawyer, Robert Stratton, in 1987. Stratton’s sister said the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office told her it couldn’t keep Richards off the ballot.

Bert Black, a legal adviser for the office, said in an email that despite Richards’ “unspeakable acts,” courts have ruled that the agency cannot prohibit a felon — even a prisoner — from filing an affidavit of candidacy.
