DNC Lawyers Met With Top FBI Official Before Spy Warrant Targeting Trump Campaign Was Issued

Well, the Kavanaugh fight is over. Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh survived a vicious character assassination campaign executed by the Left. The scars will remain indefinitely, which is tragic, but in the end—we won. Conservatives won a generational victory. We have a solid majority on the Supreme Court. Now, back to matters that you might have missed due to all the left-wing histrionics over this Supreme Court fight.

We learned from The Hill’s John Solomon that prior to a spy warrant being issued that targeted the Trump campaign, a top Federal Bureau of Investigation official met with Democratic National Committee lawyers. The point is, and what some have already alleged, is that the FBI knew that the so-called Trump dossier was still largely unverified, but it was still used to secure a FISA warrant against former foreign policy adviser Carter Page.

The attorneys in question were part of Perkins Coie, a Democratic law firm the Hillary Clinton campaign used to solicit the services of Fusion GPS, who then hired former British spook Christopher Steele to compile dirt on Trump:

Congressional investigators have confirmed that a top FBI official met with Democratic Party lawyers to talk about allegations of Donald Trump-Russia collusion weeks before the 2016 election, and before the bureau secured a search warrant targeting Trump’s campaign.

Former FBI general counsel James Baker met during the 2016 season with at least one attorney from Perkins Coie, the Democratic National Committee’s private law firm.

Alaska GOP May Reprimand — or Totally Disavow — Murkowski for Her Kavanaugh Vote

Editor’s note: The Alaska GOP’s “reprimand” effort over Murkowski’s Kavanaugh vote is 100% optics. The current chairman, as well as the folk who control the state party behind the scenes, are Murkowski-lovers as they were in 2010 and 2016. However, they are terrified of wholly losing popular support, making it far more difficult to perpetuate the type of fraud they helped orchestrate in 2010 – and likely 2016. In other words, they want cover so they can still identify in the public’s eye as “Republican” even though they remain the same old corrupt bastards (their words, not ours).

Fall-Out Continues Over Murkowski’s Kavanaugh Vote

By The Blaze. The fallout is still unfolding for Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) after she went against the rest of her party by not voting to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court over the weekend.

According to the Associated Press, the Alaska Republican Party is deciding whether to issue a reprimand for Murkowski’s vote — or whether to disavow her completely.

As the only Republican senator who did not vote in favor of Kavanaugh’s confirmation, Murkowski has placed a target on her back, already drawing potential 2022 challengers and now facing the potential of being asked not to run as a Republican candidate again.

“It’s significant enough that I’m going to convene the whole state central committee, which is about 80 grassroots volunteers around the state, and we’ll start drafting what our response should be,” Alaska GOP chairman Tuckerman Babcock said after the vote, according to KTUU-TV.

Murkowski likely knew this backlash was coming when she made her decision, and even a formal separation from the Republican Party wouldn’t necessarily spell the end of her Senate career, if the past is any indication. In 2010, Murkowski won reelection to the Senate as a write-in candidate even after losing the Republican primary. Alaska GOP to Weigh Potential Action Against Murkowski

By AP. Alaska Republican party leaders plan to consider whether to reprimand U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski for opposing Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

The party has asked Murkowski to provide any information she might want its state central committee to consider.

Party Chairman Tuckerman Babcock says the committee could decide to issue a statement. Or he says it could withdraw support of Murkowski, encourage party officials to look for a replacement and ask that she not seek re-election as a Republican. What Do Americans Really Think About Columbus Day?

People outside the Columbus fountain near Union Station in Washington, D.C., told The Daily Caller News Foundation what they thought about Columbus, Ohio deciding to stop their celebration of the man their city is named after.

While some believed Columbus Day shouldn’t be celebrated, others defended the tradition and said an Indigenous Peoples Day could be celebrated on another date as well.

Trump: I Am NOT Firing Rod Rosenstein

President Donald Trump told reporters Monday that he does not plan to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, despite weeks of rumors indicating Rosenstein was likely facing his final weeks at the Department of Justice.

Trump was asked during a short presser before getting on Marine One whether he intended to dismiss Rosenstein during a trip the pair was scheduled to take together to Florida Monday afternoon. . .

Instead, Trump said, he was “looking forward” to having a lengthy discussion with Rosenstein, the first since a New York Times piece appeared accusing Rosenstein of instructing DOJ employees to record any conversations they had with the president, and suggesting that Rosenstein had been discussing Trump’s fitness for office with members of the president’s Cabinet.

Rosenstein flatly denied the Times’ allegations and accused the Times of relying on a single anonymous source. NBC News reported later that other DOJ employees thought Rosenstein’s comments about taping the president were “sarcastic.” The White House summoned Rosenstein for a meeting last week, and Rosenstein reportedly anticipated being fired. He was not. (Read more from “Trump: I Am Not Firing Rod Rosenstein” HERE)

Whole Foods Forced to Get a Restraining Order Against Vegans

A Berkeley, California, Whole Foods Market was forced to apply for a blanket restraining order after becoming the target of a radical vegan group hell-bent on “exposing” the natural foods chain’s animal welfare violations.

The Guardian reports that Whole Foods filed for the order after a group called Direct Action Everywhere, or DxE, threatened to “Occupy Whole Foods” for the entire month of September, subjecting the store and its shoppers to in-person protests, demonstrations of “animal slaughter,” and, perhaps most horrifying, a drum circle.

DxE, which reportedly advocates for “total animal liberation,” began the month by unfurling a giant black “Occupy Whole Foods” banner above a group of chanting protesters, but since the order went into effect, DxE has been relegated to handing out pre-printed leaflets from a set of tables just beyond the Whole Foods parking lot.

The group says that they’re merely looking for “greater transparency in both Whole Foods and Amazon’s supply chain,” and accuses Whole Foods of running a “conspiracy” to hide their animal welfare practices from anti-meat activists (though DxE’s evidence of such a cover up appears scant).

Whole Foods, in turn, says that they take pride in their commitment to animal welfare and that they require farms that produce the meat, milk, cheese, and eggs that end up on Whole Foods’ shelves ascribe to a set of regulations set forth by the Global Animal Partnership. Those regulations are much stricter than the USDA’s and FDA’s, and farms must be inspected every 15 months to ensure ongoing compliance. Steven Crowder Takes Down ‘Indigenous Peoples Day’ in Video

In the latest video from PragerU, CRTV host Steven Crowder dispels the progressive myths created to erase history and disparage Christopher Columbus and the holiday named for him.

The Left wants to indoctrinate young Americans into celebrating “Indigenous Peoples Day” instead of remembering the great achievements and legacy of Columbus. Crowder reviews actual history and gives the real story of Christopher Columbus and why he’s important.

1-In-4 Military Sex-Assault Claims False

. . .A new compilation of statistics based on actual cases in the U.S. military found as many as 26 percent of allegations are false.

The issue has been in the headlines in recent weeks because of Christine Ford’s claim that now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh assaulted her when both were in their high school 36 years ago.

In a 50-48 vote to confirm Kavanaugh, only one Democrat supported him.

“We are very fortunate that the waves of bizarre accusations against Brett Kavanaugh did not kill his nomination to the Supreme Court,” said Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness. “But the verbal assault could have worked to achieve that result.”

The report explains the categories do not include instances in which the victim declined to participate in a prosecution or the statute of limitations had expired. (Read more from “1-In-4 Military Sex-Assault Claims False” HERE)

Democratic Fundraiser Says America Is Racist and Sexist, ‘F–K the Bible Voters’

Democrats are hoping to make gains in Republican-leaning congressional districts by running moderates with biographies that appeal to center-right voters including veterans, gun owners, and football players, and in doing so have distanced themselves from the far-left of the Democratic Party. Yet despite packaging themselves as reasonable centrists, Democrats running in Texas and Kentucky are teaming up with a motivational speaker who has a history of hostile rhetoric and negative views of middle America.

Retired Lt. Col. Amy McGrath and former Tennessee Titans linebacker Colin Allred are running in Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District and Texas’ 32nd District, respectively. Both candidates have been campaigning as centrists, and neither have endorsed extreme positions like, for example, abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement. But despite their carefully crafted images, they have been working with far-left-wing activist and motivational speaker Laura Gassner Otting.

According to her website, Otting is a professional motivational speaker who “helps innovators, idealists, and critics get ‘unstuck’ in their thinking.” Before becoming a motivational speaker, she was a political appointee for the Bill Clinton White House and then worked for several nonprofits.

Since Trump’s election, Otting has had several public Facebook posts where she commented about voters who didn’t support Hillary Clinton. “F**k white males” and “F**k bible voters,” she wrote in one August 2017 post.

The day after Trump won the 2016 election, she wrote, “Who knew that America was even more sexist than it was racist? And jeez, is it racist.” (Read more from “Democratic Fundraiser Says America Is Racist and Sexist, ‘F–K the Bible Voters'” HERE)

Democrats Have Become a Dangerous Threat to Our Institutions

When modern Democrats talk about preseving “norms,” traditions,” or even the “Constitution,” they’re really talking about preserving their preferred policies. We know this because “liberals” have shown themselves not only willing to destroy the legitimacy of institutions like the presidency, the Senate ,and Supreme Court to protect those policies, they’re willing to break down basic norms of civility, as well.

Take the example of Hillary Clinton. In the very first sentence in her new scaremongering essay, which makes the case that America’s “democratic institutions and traditions are under siege,” she attacks our democratic institutions and traditions. “It’s been nearly two years since Donald Trump won enough Electoral College votes to become president of the United States,” the piece begins.

The intimation, of course, widely shared by the mainstream left, is that Trump isn’t a legitimate president even though he won the election in the exact same way every other president in U.S. history has ever won election. According to our long-held democratic institutions and traditions, you become president through the Electoral College, not the non-existent popular vote.

So when Clinton, or writers at Vox, or The Atlantic, or Politico, or new liberal favorite Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, say it’s “well past time we eliminate the Electoral College, a shadow of slavery’s power on America today that undermines our nation as a democratic republic,” you’re either tragically ignorant about our system or cynically delegitimizing it. Or maybe it’s both.

The Electoral College isn’t ornamental; it exists to undercut the tyranny of direct democracy and ensure the entire nation is represented in national elections. When you attack it, you’re not condemning Trump, you are, in a very palpable way, attacking a core idea that girds much of our governance. New Poll Shows What Americans Thought of Democrats Smearing Kavanaugh, and It’s Stunning

By The Blaze. A stunning new poll asking Americans what they thought about how Brett Kavanaugh was treated in the confirmation process has a stunning result for Democrats. . .

Among the crucial election demographic of independents, Democrats are underwater by a 28 percentage point margin.

While 30 percent of independents approved of how Democrats handled the nomination, a whopping 58 percent said they disapproved.

The CNN/SSRS poll was released Monday just head of Kavanaugh being sworn in to the Supreme Court.

Independents are key indicators of elections because while those identified with either party generally vote according to their identification, independents are seen as swing votes that can decided an election. Independents Disapprove of Democrats’ Handling of the Brett Kavanaugh Nomination by a 28-Point Margin

By The Washington Examiner. After a blistering confirmation battle, Justice Brett Kavanaugh will take his seat for oral arguments on the U.S. Supreme Court with a skeptical public, a majority of which opposed his nomination. However, Democrats may not be able to exploit this fact in the upcoming elections as much as they hope, because the independent voters overwhelmingly disapprove of their own handling of the nomination by a 28-point margin, a new CNN/SSRS poll finds.

Overall, just 41 percent of those polled said they wanted to see Kavanaugh confirmed, compared to 51 percent who said they opposed his confirmation. In previous CNN polls dating back to Robert Bork in 1987, no nominee has been more deeply underwater.

What’s interesting, however, is even though Democrats on the surface would seem to have public opinion on their side, just 36 percent approved of how they handled the nomination, compared to 56 percent who disapproved. (Republicans were at 55 percent disapproval and 35 percent approval). A further breakdown finds that 58 percent of independents disapproved of the way the Democrats handled the nomination — compared to 30 percent who approved. (Independents also disapproved of Republicans handling of the matter, but by a narrower 53 percent to 32 percent margin).
