From Liberal Boston Herald: White Lies Catch up with Elizabeth Warren

. . .Two months after offering what she claimed was definitive proof of her Native American ancestry, she is now acknowledging that she’s a honky. . .

Here’s the next step for the woman who was white before she was Cherokee before she was white: release your employment applications to the law schools at Harvard and Penn. Since you now admit you’re a white woman, it shouldn’t be a problem to prove once and for all that you never did “check the box” to grab a racial preference you weren’t entitled to.

Show us, fake Indian, that you did not speak with forked tongue many moons ago. If you no lie, we smoke peace pipe.

The takeaway here is, Elizabeth Warren still dreams of being elected president in 2020. She wouldn’t be humiliating herself like this if she didn’t want to be the Great White Father.

She’s been huddling with her fellow geriatric faker Bernie Sanders. She’s reportedly scouting locations in Boston for a campaign headquarters. Potomac fever is a tough disease to overcome, especially, for some reason, if you’re from Massachusetts. (Read more from “From Liberal Boston Herald: White Lies Catch up with Elizabeth Warren” HERE)

How Ballot-Harvesting Became the New Way to Steal an Election

America’s electoral obsession isn’t Russian meddling anymore. It’s ballot-harvesting, a long-disputed practice implicated in fraud that’s come to the fore with the nationwide embrace of absentee voting in recent years — and especially in last month’s midterms.

With ballot-harvesting, paper votes are collected by intermediaries who deliver them to polling officials, presumably increasing voter turnout but also creating opportunities for mischief.

The latter is suspected in North Carolina, where uncharacteristic Democratic charges of vote fraud prompted an investigation into whether Republican-paid political operatives illegally collected and possibly stole absentee ballots in a still-undecided congressional race. A national spotlight was shone by The New York Times, which, like Democrats, often minimizes vote fraud; it flooded the zone in this case, assigning five reporters to a single story.

In California, by contrast, Democrats exulted as they credited a quietly passed 2016 law legalizing ballot-harvesting with their recent sweep of House seats in the former Republican stronghold of Orange County, thereby helping them win control of the House. In that case, it was Republican eyebrows that were arched. House Speaker Paul Ryan said what happened in California “defies logic.”

In Orange County, an estimated 250,000 harvested ballots were reportedly dropped off on Election Day alone. County Republican Chairman Fred Whitaker claimed the 2016 law “directly caused the switch from being ahead on election night to losing two weeks later.” (Read more from “How Ballot-Harvesting Became the New Way to Steal an Election” HERE)

Trump Plans ‘to Review’ Case Against Soldier Charged With Murdering a Suspected Taliban Bomb Maker

President Donald Trump on Sunday said he would be reviewing the murder case against Army Green Beret Major Matt Golsteyn who allegedly in 2010 killed an Afghan man who was suspected of making bombs.

According to the BBC, then-Captain Golsteyn allegedly shot and killed a man he believed was making bombs for the Taliban. He allegedly admitted the killing during a 2011 lie detector test, which was done as part of a job application with the CIA.

In 2014, Golsteyn was reprimanded because of the lack of evidence. Things quickly changed when he participated in a Fox News interview about the war. At that time, he went into detail what took place with Fox host Bret Baier.

According to Golsteyn, soldiers were only allowed to hold people for a certain period of time before he or she had to be released if evidence against them were lacking. Essentially, it was a catch and release program. . .

“Major Mathew Golsteyn’s immediate commander has determined that sufficient evidence exists to warrant the preferral of charges against him,” U.S. Army Special Operations Command spokesman Lt Col Loren Bymer said in a statement.

Why Puberty Blockers Are a Clear Danger to Children’s Health

. . .Citing guidelines issued by the political advocacy group World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), these physicians admit that the effects of cross-sex hormones are generally irreversible. Vulnerable patients who agree to this treatment are thus crossing the Rubicon into permanent bodily impairment.

However, most doctors insist that puberty blockers are safe and fully reversible, so that patients who decide not to continue with the “transition” can get their healthy bodies back. But mounting medical evidence shows the fallacy of the cavalier implication that puberty blockers are as harmless as aspirin and can be discontinued with as little effect. . .

One of the puberty blockers frequently administered to girls who identify as boys (female-to-male, or FtM) is called Lupron. Lupron belongs to a class of drugs called gonadotrophin hormone-releasing (GnRH) agonists and is used to suppress estrogen production, thereby delaying the physical changes of puberty in a pre-pubescent female patient.

The argument is that this will give the girl more time to “explore her identity,” an easier path to physical transitioning before her body matures, and a chance to decide if she wants to pursue more serious measures such as cross-sex hormones and surgery. (More on that later.) The first claim is that Lupron is safe. But thousands of patients who have been treated with Lupron for non-sex-related conditions would disagree.

Lupron was originally Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved to treat prostate cancer, but it’s now routinely prescribed for other conditions such as endometriosis and “precocious puberty” — i.e., puberty that begins too early (generally considered under age eight for girls, under age nine for boys). Many of these patients have experienced extreme side effects that shattered their health and their lives, including severe joint pain, osteoporosis, compromised immune systems, and mental health issues such as severe depression and even suicidal ideation. The FDA has received 24,000 reports of adverse reactions, about half of which the agency has deemed serious. (Read more from “Why Puberty Blockers Are a Clear Danger to Children’s Health” HERE)

Trump Attacks Michael Cohen as a ‘Rat’ and Ramps up FBI Criticism

By Washington Examiner. President Trump raged on Twitter Sunday morning over his former longtime lawyer Michael Cohen and treatment by the FBI in a range of probes into his activities before and during his White House tenure.

Trump attacked his former fixer, calling him a “rat,” and said the FBI raiding the one-time Trump Organization attorney’s office “was absolutely unthinkable” and “unheard of,” before the bureau began its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The FBI raided Cohen’s office and hotel room in New York in April, seizing business records, emails, and documents related to Trump. Cohen on Wednesday was sentenced to three years in prison for bank and tax fraud crimes, including campaign finance violations related to Trump. In the months since the raid, Cohen has turned intensely critical of his former boss.

In his tweet, Trump also questioned why the FBI never broke into the Democratic National Committee offices or those of his 2016 Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, to get servers believed by the U.S. intelligence community of having been hacked by Russia.

Rudy Giuliani Claims Michael Cohen Hush Payments, Possible Russia Collusion ‘Not a Crime’

By NBC News. Hush money during the campaign? “Collusion” with Russia? No crimes here, President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani asserted in two contentious Sunday show interviews.

Giuliani was peppered with questions during interviews with George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “This Week” and Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday” about the hush payments to women that contributed to former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen’s three year prison sentence, which he received on Wednesday, and special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

“Even if” Cohen’s story “were true, it’s not a crime,” Giuliani told Wallace.

In both interviews, Giuliani was asked to respond to Cohen’s Friday interview with Stephanopoulos on “Good Morning America.”

“Pathetic. The man is pathetic,” Giuliani told Stephanopoulos in response to Cohen’s interview. “That was a lawyer you were interviewing. … He’s the guy you depend on to determine whether or not you should do it this way or that way.” (Read more from “Rudy Giuliani Claims Michael Cohen Hush Payments, Possible Russia Collusion ‘Not a Crime'” HERE)

Kansas Republican Lawmaker Switches to Dem Party, Calls GOP’s LGBTQ Stance ‘Absurd’

Kansas State Sen. Barbara Bollier spent 43 years as a registered Republican and 10 years as a GOP lawmaker. But now she’s switching parties because of Republicans’ stance on LGBTQ issues and other causes.

“My moral compass is saying, ‘I can’t do this anymore,’ and you throw that in with Donald Trump, and just from a moral position, I can’t be complicit anymore,” Bollier said in an interview with NBC News. . .

Earlier this year, the Kansas Republican Party updated its platform with the following language: “We believe God created two genders, male and female. Therefore, as defined by the Kansas Constitution, the benefits and privileges of marriage exist only between one man and one woman.” . . .

Bollier has long reached across the political aisle and she endorsed Democrats Laura Kelly for governor and Sharice Davids for Congress. State Senate President Susan Wagle removed Bollier as vice chairwoman of the governing body’s health committee in July after Bollier endorsed the two candidates.

The Kansas Republican Party earlier this year modified the wording of its platform to read: “We believe God created two genders, male and female. Therefore, as defined by the Kansas Constitution, the benefits and privileges of marriage exist only between one man and one woman.” (Read more from “Kansas Republican Lawmaker Switches to Dem Party, Calls GOP’s LGBTQ Stance ‘Absurd'” HERE)

Here’s How Much the Mueller Investigation Has Cost Taxpayers

By The Daily Caller. The Mueller investigation has cost taxpayers $25 million, according to documents released Friday by the Department of Justice.

The special counsel’s investigation into Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 election has been ongoing since May 2017. The latest numbers released by the department show that, in a six-month time period from April 1, 2018, to Sep. 30, 2018, there were over $4.5 million in expenditures. . .

Mueller’s investigation has so far proven no hard evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia but has implicated various campaign aides in unrelated crimes. Trump campaign staff Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates and George Papadopoulos have all been targeted by the broad scope investigation.

Mueller Probe Has Cost Taxpayers More Than $25 Million, Spending Report Reveals

By Fox News. Taxpayers have spent more than $25 million on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, according to the latest spending report released Friday.

Between April 1 and Sept. 30 of this year, the special counsel has spent $4.56 million on the investigation.

“The Department will continue to dedicate and leverage resources to maintain strong program and financial management controls,” the report stated. “Management takes its program and financial accountability seriously and is dedicated to ensuring that funds are used in a responsible and transparent manner.”

Of the $4.56 million, $2.9 million went to “Personnel Compensation and Benefits” – $1 million of that went to special counsel employees’ salaries and benefits, and $1.9 million was “reimbursable” for Justice Department employees on detail with the special counsel’s office.

The special counsel’s office spent $942,787 on “Rent, Communications, and Utilities,” nearly $60,000 on printing, supplies, and materials; and Mueller’s team spent $580,098 on transportation and travel, with the majority of those funds going to “temporary duty relocation of DOJ employees detailed” to the special counsel’s office. Trump Unconcerned About Impeachment: The People Would Revolt

By GOP USA. President Trump warned against efforts to impeach him Tuesday, raising the specter of a popular uprising against a Congress that did that.

Mr. Trump issued his caution in an Oval Office interview with Reuters news agency, saying he wasn’t worried that Democrats, more of whom are publicly demanding he be removed from office, will be in control of the House next month.

“I’m not concerned, no,” he added. “I think that the people would revolt if that happened.” . . .

“It’s hard to impeach somebody who hasn’t done anything wrong and who’s created the greatest economy in the history of our country,” he told the British wire service. (Read more from “Trump Unconcerned About Impeachment: The People Would Revolt” HERE)

Dems’ Post-Midterm Strategy to Bring Down Trump Emerges

By Fox News. California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff disclosed in an interview Sunday that Democrats are in talks with counsel for former Trump attorney Michael Cohen to “bring him back” for further testimony, less than two weeks after Cohen pleaded guilty to lying to Congress in 2017 about an abandoned Trump Tower project in Moscow.

Schiff suggested Cohen will return voluntarily. If Schiff becomes the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee when Democrats retake the House in January, as expected, he would have the power to subpoena Cohen to testify and provide documents — but Cohen would retain the option of pleading his Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination. . .

Schiff also suggested Cohen could provide information on potential campaign-finance violations by the president. Cohen separately pleaded guilty in August to several charges brought by prosecutors in the Southern District of New York (SDNY), including five counts of tax evasion, one count of making false statements to a financial institution, one count of willfully causing an unlawful corporate contribution and one count of making an excessive campaign contribution. This Is How Venezuelan Families Are Being Forced to Bury Loved Ones

As the crisis in Venezuela’s socialist dictatorship deepens – gripped by mass hunger, starvation and a lack of medical supplies – there is no comfort even for the dead.

“What is happening is medieval. People are ‘renting’ caskets for a service, but giving them back. The same casket is being used over and over again because people cannot afford to buy one,” Venezuelan opposition leader Julio Borges, who has been living in exile in the Colombian capital of Bogota for the past nine months, told Fox News. “And then they have to wrap the body in plastic bags for the burial. Others don’t have money for a land plot, so they are burying loved ones in their back garden.”

Borges said the “really creepy” problem of how to properly bury the dead has become the norm rather than the exception. Other Venezuelans concurred, indicating the use of “common graves,” along with backyard burials, was becoming standard.

One Venezuelan, who asked his name not be published, described the sudden death of his father in the capital Caracas last week, which left the family without a vehicle to take the body to the morgue. It took more than a day for the body to be collected. . .

“Funeral services are too expensive. Coffins are expensive, as well as paying for a place in the cemetery and everything that comes with it: the chapel for the service, the plate,” Julett Pineda, a health journalist for Efecto Cocuyo in Caracas, told Fox News. “People cannot have a decent funeral.” (Read more from “This Is How Venezuelan Families Are Being Forced to Bury Loved Ones” HERE)

A New Hollywood Sexual Assault Bombshell

Les Moonves was forced out as CBS CEO in September amid allegations he sexually harassed over a dozen actresses. He denied what he termed were “appalling” charges, but his resignation put a disgraceful end to his two decades at the network.

That, however, is not the end of the network’s controversies. On Friday, we learned that actress Eliza Dushku, star of “Dark Angel” and “Bull,” sued her co star Michael Weatherly over his unwanted advances and inappropriate language on set. She was paid $9.5 million in a secret settlement. . .

Among Weatherly’s inappropriate behavior was his joking about having a threesome with Dushku and taking her to his “rape van.” . . .

Once the reports came to light, however, Weatherly expressed some regret.

“During the course of taping our show, I made some jokes mocking some lines in the script,” Weatherly said in the statement. “When Eliza told me that she wasn’t comfortable with my language and attempt at humor, I was mortified to have offended her and immediately apologized. After reflecting on this further, I better understand that what I said was both not funny and not appropriate and I am sorry and regret the pain this caused Eliza.” (Read more from “A New Hollywood Sexual Assault Bombshell” HERE)
