Oh, so Beto O’Rourke Is Coming Around to Border Walls Now?

Former Texas Congressman Beto (Bob) O’Rourke is mulling a presidential run. Yes, he lost to Republican Ted Cruz in the 2018 Senate election, but many within Democratic circles are seeing this performance in the deep red state as a sign of hope that the party could flip the state someday. He’s also considered a rising star. He’s still a dweeb, but Democrats like him, so let’s just let them have their fun. One of Beto’s war cries as of late has been being against Donald Trump’s border wall, which apparently ends lives, or something. Beto made these remarks last week during a rally that was held a quarter-mile from the president’s event. He also spoke to supporters through a fence, which makes this all the more ironic. Yet, let’s get to the heart of the issue here, Beto might be backtracking on the wall. Yeah, he thinks there should be barriers along some parts the border. Yeah, CNN found a nut with this story:

O’Rourke has blasted President Donald Trump’s push for a border wall in recent weeks, and last week said he wants to see the border separating El Paso from Juárez torn down.

But asked Tuesday whether that means he wants fencing along the entire US-Mexico border removed, O’Rourke said, “I think there is a role for physical barriers in some places.”

Trump Admin Announces Global Push to Decriminalize Homosexuality

The Trump administration revealed Tuesday that it will be spearheading a global effort to get countries to end their criminalization of homosexuality, according to a report by NBC News. While the move is likely to distress many of Trump’s Christian-base supporters, it has interestingly been met with a cold shoulder by U.S. pro-LGBT voices.

The effort is being led by U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell, a homosexual conservative rumored to be in consideration as President Donald Trump’s next ambassador to the United Nations.

“It is concerning that, in the 21st century, some 70 countries continue to have laws that criminalize LGBTI status or conduct,” a US official told NBC News of the effort, which begins this week with an American-hosted strategy meeting in Berlin of LGBT advocates from across Europe.

The report notes that the effort is “narrowly focused on criminalization” instead of pressuring countries to adopt policies such as same-sex “marriage,” and is motivated in part by Iran hanging a man last month for violating the Islamic nation’s ban on sodomy, a capital offense (the man was also accused of kidnapping two teenagers, though it’s unclear how both offenses factored into his sentence. Grenell believes the kidnapping charges are false).

“This is not the first time the Iranian regime has put a gay man to death with the usual outrageous claims of prostitution, kidnapping, or even pedophilia. And it sadly won’t be the last time,” Grenell said. “Barbaric public executions are all too common in a country where consensual homosexual relationships are criminalized and punishable by flogging and death […] politicians, the U.N., democratic governments, diplomats and good people everywhere should speak up — and loudly.”

Andrew McCabe Can’t Keep His Story Straight

Former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe was fired for lying to the FBI inspector general on multiple occasions, and faces potential legal trouble for his many abuses of power. But he’s still the leftwing media’s new darling, as he’s on a media tour to preempt any prosecution, and promote his new book—which he surely hopes will fund his pending legal troubles.

But poor McCabe can’t keep his story straight. McCabe was let go from the FBI for lying in March of 2018. Then, in September of last year, someone leaked to The New York Times that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had sought to trap the president in a crime or attempt to remove the president, by proposing to wear a wire for his conversations with the president, and by attempting to recruit cabinet officials to invoke the 25th Amendment, respectively.

This was a hit on Rosenstein from someone who wanted to spread the blame away from himself or herself, and from someone in the FBI who sought to excuse his or her actions by pointing fingers at the Department of Justice (DOJ). That’s why many assumed it was McCabe and his people orchestrating this leak. . .

But then McCabe went in front of the cameras for his soft-ball “60 Minutes” interview. McCabe was asked about Rosenstein recruiting cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment, and Rosenstein offering to “wire-up.” McCabe proceeded to go into great detail to affirm the September 2018 New York Times story. All this, despite the Rosenstein issues not being included in McCabe’s book. . .

In other words, it is becoming obvious that McCabe is probably the leak orchestrator against Rosenstein, and has the inside view of an illegal and certainly improper plot on the president of the United States, undertaken by unelected intelligence officials who were all involved in abuses of power that occurred before, during, and after the 2016 election. Shocker: Media Still Trying to Pretend Planned Parenthood Didn’t Sell Baby Body Parts

When CNN recently hired Sarah Isgur, Jeff Sessions’ former spokeswoman, to be a political editor at its Washington bureau, the predictable backlash from left-dominated media types and activists followed. Even the allegedly unbiased CNN newsroom was reportedly “demoralized” at the mere thought of a Republican on staff. No word on how former Obama official, now CNN’s chief national security correspondent and co-anchor of “CNN Newsroom,” Jim Sciutto, felt about the development.

Isgur was accused of holding various right-of-center positions. And when a former political activist-turned-Vox writer claimed that Isgur “pushed Planned Parenthood conspiracy theories that were grounded in misleadingly edited videos,” the talking point quickly gained popularity with Isgur’ detractors.

The alleged proof of this conspiracy theorizing resides in a single retweet of a Federalist piece written by my colleague Mollie Hemingway, praising Isgur’s former boss Carly Fiorina for highlighting a series of undercover videos released in 2015, clearly catching Planned Parenthood executives and doctors admitting to illegally profiting from the sale of the fetal tissue of aborted babies.

The only conspiracy theory attached to the incident was spread by pro-abortion activists and Planned Parenthood apologists, which included CNN’s news division and other major media outlets, who either ignored the shocking videos or falsely and repeatedly claimed that videos of executives breezily discussing the harvesting and illegal selling of baby parts had been “heavily” and “deceptively” edited.

The fact was that Center for Medical Progress had edited the footage in the same manner news organizations always edit footage: they highlight the newsworthy parts of conversations. Unlike most of their media detractors, though, the Center for Medical Progress posted the entire raw footage of the tapes for anyone to watch. U.S. Child Reported Missing in Mexican Border City

Mexican federal authorities in the border city of Reynosa issued an Amber Alert over the disappearance of a 10-year-old girl described as a U.S. citizen.

Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office revealed that 10-year-old Dulce Maria Hernandez was last seen on Tuesday in Reynosa and there is a strong possibility that she could be the victim of a crime.

The information released by the Amber Alert officials in Tamaulipas did not reveal the circumstances of the girl’s disappearance nor additional details on the case. Authorities also did not disclose if Hernandez lived in Mexico or in the U.S. at the time of her disappearance. Hernandez was last seen wearing a short sleeve gray shirt, a black jacket, blue jeans, and black sneakers with fuchsia letters. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Mexico’s Amber Alert unit at 01 800 00 854 00 or the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office at 01 834 31 861 50. Mueller Is Finishing up, and the ‘Resistance’ Has Nothing

CNN’s report that special counsel Robert Mueller could wind up his investigation and deliver his much-anticipated report as early as next week has the anti-Trump ‘Resistance’ seemingly struggling to sustain a consistent narrative.

Some speculated that Mueller could have been pressured by recently-confirmed Attorney General William Barr to end the investigation prematurely.

Some took the James Clapper approach, managing expectations by acknowledging that the report could be “anti-climactic,” but arguing that Trump should still be impeached nonetheless.

Democrats Lying That Lower Refunds Mean Taxes Went UP

It’s really hard to find a way to criticize the fact that the government is taking less of people’s hard-earned money, but Democrats are trying their hardest, even if it means outright lying to do it.

Last week, 2020 presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., took to social media to claim that because the “average tax refund is down about $170 compared to last year,” the tax cuts are really “a middle-class tax hike to line the pockets of already wealthy corporations and the 1%.”

Surprisingly, Harris actually got called out by the fact-checkers at the Washington Post, who actually gave her statement a four-Pinocchio rating. WaPo fact checker Glenn Kessler called the statistic Harris quoted “a non sequitur that turns out to be nonsensical and misleading.” Bottom line: When tax refunds go down, that could mean taxes went up or down, which is what happened this year.

However, that hasn’t stopped other Democrats from trying to use the talking point to trash the tax cuts.

Here are the facts of the matter:

A Tax Policy Center report found that “80 percent of taxpayers would receive a tax cut … averaging about $2,100,” while around five percent would see an increase.

With the new tax laws in place, the IRS updated its withholding tables at the beginning of last year. This means that a lot people who owed less in taxes kept more of their own paychecks up front and that there’s less overpay for the government to return. Let’s not forget, that’s what a tax refund is: an overpay.

The size of one’s tax refund or the amount of taxes owed at tax time has nothing to do with how much someone actually pays in taxes. If you’re dealing with some tax-time sticker shock, you might want to check on your withholding. The IRS has a free withholding calculator to help you figure out how much you should have taken out of each paycheck.

Tax refunds are what happens when people overpay all year and get their own money back without interest. The fact that a lot of people being surprised by the balance either owed or refunded from the IRS every year does not make the GOP tax cuts a nefarious scam.

But a cardinal rule of politics is never to let facts get in the way of a salacious talking point. (For more from the author of “Democrats Lying That Lower Refunds Mean Taxes Went Up” please click HERE)

Coast Guard Lieutenant Arrested, Labeled ‘Domestic Terrorist’ With Hit List of Liberal Politicians and Journalists

A U.S. Coast Guard lieutenant who was allegedly planning numerous acts of domestic terrorism targeting liberal politicians and journalists was arrested Friday on gun and drug charges, according to court documents obtained by the George Washington University Program on Extremism.

Federal authorities have filed a motion for detention pending trial for Lt. Christopher Paul Hasson, who they say “intends to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country.”

Investigators searched his home and found more than a dozen firearms and more than a thousand rounds of ammunition in a small basement apartment in Maryland.

Hasson identified himself in his writings as a “long time White Nationalist, having been a skinhead 30 plus years ago before my time in the military.” He wrote that he “fully supports the idea of a white homeland.”

He also had a spreadsheet, created in January, with a list of media and political targets, including prominent politicians such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democratic presidential candidates Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, and Kirsten Gillibrand, and freshman Democratic Reps. Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. (Read more from “Coast Guard Lieutenant Arrested, Labeled ‘Domestic Terrorist’ With Hit List of Liberal Politicians and Journalists” HERE)

Police Make Move Against Jussie Smollett

Chicago law enforcement officials have officially declared actor Jussie Smollett to be a suspect in a criminal investigation on Wednesday for allegedly committing the felonious act of filing a false police report.

Chicago Police Chief Communications Officer Anthony Guglielmi tweeted: “Case Update: Jussie Smollett is now officially classified as a suspect in a criminal investigation by #ChicagoPolice for filing a false police report (Class 4 felony). Detectives are currently presenting evidence before a Cook County Grand Jury.”

“Chicago detectives investigating an alleged attack on Jussie Smollett are working to obtain the actor’s financial records, a high-ranking police source said Wednesday,” CNN reported. “Smollett’s attorneys met with Cook County prosecutors earlier Wednesday, according to Chicago Police spokesman Tom Ahern. But a source close to actor’s team told CNN that he has not given police a follow-up interview and no such meeting is scheduled.” . . .

Two brothers, who are believed to have orchestrated the attack on Smollett at Smollett’s instruction, claimed that Smollett was also behind sending the threatening letter to himself.

“The FBI and the US Postal Inspection Service are currently investigating whether Jussie Smollett played a role in sending a threatening letter addressed to him at ‘Empire’s’ Chicago studio prior to the alleged attack,” ABC News reported, after confirming with two federal officials. “The accusation, made by the two brothers who were persons of interest, has not been confirmed.”

WATCH: Disney, Nestle Pull YouTube Ads After This Viral Video Exposes ‘Pedophilia Ring’

According to Bloomberg, the Walt Disney Co., Nestle, and “Fortnite” creator Epic Games, Inc. have “paused” their advertising spending on YouTube after a viral video report detailing an alleged “soft-core pedophilia ring” operating via the platform’s comments section.

An alarming 20-minute report (below) posted by video blogger Matt Watson on his YouTube channel “MattsWhatItIs” Sunday purports to expose “a wormhole into a soft-core pedophilia ring on YouTube.”

“Over the past 48 hours I have discovered a wormhole into a soft-core pedophilia ring on Youtube,” Watson wrote in the description of the video, which has already racked up nearly 2 million views. “Youtube’s recommended algorithm is facilitating pedophiles’ ability to connect with each-other, trade contact info, and link to actual CP in the comments. I can consistently get access to it from vanilla, never-before-used Youtube accounts via innocuous videos in less than ten minutes, in sometimes less than five clicks. Additionally, I have video evidence that these videos are being monetized by Youtube, brands like McDonald’s, Lysol, Disney, Reese’s, and more.”

In his report, Watson demonstrates in real-time how users can use the comment section on YouTube to identify sexually suggestive videos involving young girls. YouTube’s algorithm, Watson shows, will then begin recommending similar videos.

“This loophole is wrong, something needs to be done,” Watson says in the video’s description. “It’s being monetized. CP is being traded as well as social media and WhatsApp addresses. Youtube is facilitating this problem. It doesn’t matter that they flag videos and turn off the comments, these videos are still being monetized, and more importantly they are still available for users to watch.”
