Diver Survives After Being Scooped up in Whale’s Mouth

A diver in South Africa survived an experience out of a biblical passage last month when he ended up almost being swallowed by a whale.

Rainer Schimpf, 51, was snorkeling off the coast of Port Elizabeth, South Africa, when he ended up in the path of a Bryde’s whale, which opened his jaws and engulfed him headfirst.

“We were very astonished that out of nowhere this whale came up,” he told Sky News. “I was busy concentrating on the sharks because you want to know if the shark is in front of you or behind you, left or right, so we were very focused on the sharks and their behavior — then suddenly it got dark.”

Schimpf, who has worked as a dive operator for over 15 years, said he was in the water with two others for just a matter of minutes before the whale appeared. He had happened to be with a group recording a sardine run, which is where marine animals such as dolphins, whales, and sharks gather fish into bait balls.

“So my next thought was that the whale may take me down into the ocean and release me further down, so I instantly held my breath,” he told Sky News. “Obviously he realized I was not what he wanted to eat so he spat me out again.” (Read more from “Diver Survives After Being Scooped up in Whale’s Mouth” HERE)

Judge Jeanine Has a Concerning Theory About Where Omar’s Allegiance Lies

By Townhall. During her Fox News show on Saturday, Judge Jeanine Pirro posed an interesting question about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN): does she hold her allegiance to Sharia Law? . . .

“Omar wears a hijab, which, according to the Quran 33:59, tells women to cover so they won’t get molested,” Pirro told her audience. “Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?” . . .

Omar has garnered attention for her anti-Semitic comments, specifically about Americans’ loyalty to Israel. In her eyes, anyone who advocates for Israel is more loyal to Israelis than Americans.

Last week, the House passed a resolution condemning anti-Semitism, which was a direct result of Omar’s numerous anti-Semitic comments. Even after the resolution passed, Omar stood her ground, saying her comments started a “difficult conversation” that can lead to “great progress.”

GOP Leader Accuses Dems of ‘Enabling Anti-Semitism’ by Defending Ilhan Omar

By New York Post. A top GOP House leader accused Democrats of trying to “protect” Rep. Ilhan Omar and “enabling anti-Semitism” by failing to single out her anti-Israel comments on the House floor.

“I think it was really clearly an effort to actually protect Ilhan Omar,” Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) told NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday. “To cover up her bigotry and anti-Semitism by refusing to name her. The Democrats have yet to take any action to remove her from her committee. And they’ve got a real problem.”

Cheney voted against a bipartisan House resolution Thursday that condemned anti-Semitism and many other forms of hatred and bigotry.

New Report Exposes Insane Liberal Classes Taught at U.S. Universities

A new report exposes the radical leftist courses offered at universities across the U.S., which range from “Sex and Socialism” to “Cowboys, Gangsters, and Drag Kings: Introduction to Critical Masculinity Studies” to the “Gendered Politics of Food.”

Young America’s Foundation (YAF) has produced this report, Comedy & Tragedy, every year since 1995 to “document the intellectual abuse and flat-out indoctrination happening by way of the appalling curriculum at our country’s most (so-called) prestigious institutions of higher education.” . . .

There are classes on “queering God or queering the Bible,” Brown explained. “Those courses go into how, throughout history, God has been seen as definitively masculine or male, but they ask, ‘or is He?’” . . .

A number of Catholic universities made the list. DePaul University offers a class called “Sexual Justice: Lesbians, Gays and the Law,” which “examines the historical and contemporary relationships between lesbians, gays, and the law in the U.S., focusing on the intersections of power, sexuality, and identity with issues of sexuality-based discrimination.”

China Is Furious With U.S. – Here’s Why

By The Daily Caller. China lashed back Saturday at the U.S. ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom’s claim that Beijing is “at war with faith,” calling it slander.

Sam Brownback urged China in a Friday speech in Hong Kong to allow investigations of its detainment camps, in which former Uighur Muslim detainees said they experienced inhumane conditions, torture and brainwashing, and also said the Chinese government must correct the wrongs it has committed against religious freedom in general.

The Chinese foreign ministry’s office in Hong Kong in turn demanded that critics stop their “slander” of China’s policies and stop using religious issues to interfere in Chinese affairs. . .

The office called on U.S. officials to “cease their slander of China’s policies on religion and the situation with freedom of faith and cease using religious issues to interfere in China’s internal affairs,” according to The Associated Press.

Brownback said the Trump administrations is “deeply concerned” by China’s oppression of Uighur Muslims, which he characterized as “a deliberate attempt by Beijing to redefine and control these Muslim minority groups, [their] identity, culture and faith.” (Read more from “China Is Furious With U.S. – Here’s Why” HERE)

China Protests U.S. Criticism of Policies on Religion

By AP. China has issued a protest over remarks the U.S. ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom made criticizing Beijing’s polices toward Muslim and Tibetan Buddhist minorities and saying the country was “at war with faith.” . . .

China’s constitution and laws protect freedom of religion and critics should “cease their slander of China’s policies on religion and the situation with freedom of faith and cease using religious issues to interfere in China’s internal affairs,” the office said in a statement.

U.S. officials and UN experts say China is believed to be holding 1 million Uighurs, Muslims and members of other majority Muslim ethnic groups in political education camps in Xinjiang. School Bus Aide Rips MAGA Hat off Student’s Head

Florida police are investigating a public school bus aide who allegedly ripped a “Make America Great Again” hat off the head of a 14-year-old student.

According to a report from a local Florida news outlet, The incident, which was caught on the bus’s security camera, shows that the bus aide screamed at the student for wearing a MAGA hat on the bus.

“Boy, if you don’t take that hat on this bus. Take it off. Take that hat off. Take the hat off. Now,” the aide said to the student. . .

The boy, 14-year-old Gunnar Johansson, told a local NBC affiliate that he didn’t do anything wrong. He says that the aide also threatened to turn the bus around if he didn’t remove his hat. “She, like, threatened me with a referral and threatened to turn the bus around. I said ‘write me up, I didn’t do anything wrong’, and then she yanked my hat off. It was crazy,” Johansson said in a comment. He also told reporters that other students were wearing Trump apparel at school that day. Additionally, he was allowed to put his MAGA hat back on once he got to school. Ilhan Omar Claims Her Obama Comments Were Distorted, but Newly Released Evidence Reveals the Truth

By The Blaze. In an interview with Politico Magazine, Omar harshly criticized former President Barack Obama for policies that dominated his administration, which Omar and other progressive lawmakers believe contributed to the current political climate.

“We can’t be only upset with Trump,” Omar told Politico. “His policies are bad, but many of the people who came before him also had really bad policies. They just were more polished than he was. And that’s not what we should be looking for anymore. We don’t want anybody to get away with murder because they are polished. We want to recognize the actual policies that are behind the pretty face and the smile.” . . .

“Exhibit A of how reporters distort words. I’m an Obama fan! I was saying how Trump is different from Obama, and why we should focus on policy not politics. This is why I always tape my interviews,” Omar tweeted, including audio from the interview. . .

However, there is one problem for Omar. As many of the left and right noted, the audio Omar released only corroborated Politico’s reporting.

Ilhan Omar Claims Her Obama Comments Were Distorted, Then Posts Audio Confirming Controversial Remarks

By Fox News. Rep. Ilhan Omar’s attempt to shame a news outlet for misquoting her blistering attack on former President Barack Obama backfired after she released audio of the interview that only served to confirm her remarks.

The Minnesota Democrat, who’s faced controversy over comments perceived as anti-Semitic, got into hot water yet again after saying Obama’s “hope and change” message was a “mirage” and slammed the administration’s drone and border-detention policies. . .

But the move immediately backfired as the recording actually confirmed the comments she made to the news outlet. By Saturday afternoon, she had deleted the tweet.

“I think for many of us, we think of ourselves as Democrats. But many of the ways that our Democratic leaders have conducted themselves within the system is not one that we are all proud of,” she said in the recording.

“You know, I will talk about the family separation or caging of kids and then people will point out that this was wrong – I mean this was Obama. And you know I’ll say something about the droning of countries around the world and people will say that was Obama. And all of that is very true. What is happening now is very different. A lot is happening with secrecy. It’s happening with the feel-good polished way of talking about it. Pelosi, Schumer Threaten Another Shutdown

President Donald Trump’s pursuit of funding for his border wall will only lead to another government shutdown, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) warned on Sunday. . .

In a joint statement, the Democratic leaders said they hope Trump “learned his lesson” from the last partial government shutdown because additional efforts to secure border wall funds will fail.

“President Trump hurt millions of Americans and caused widespread chaos when he recklessly shut down the government to try to get his expensive and ineffective wall, which he promised would be paid for by Mexico,” they said.

“Congress refused to fund his wall and he was forced to admit defeat and reopen the government. The same thing will repeat itself if he tries this again,” the leaders continued. “We hope he learned his lesson.” . . .

Pelosi Tries to Argue Illegals Should Be Able to Vote…Using a Reagan Quote?

Earlier this week, Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a press conference in Austin, Texas. One of the issues that came up was whether or not “new immigrants” – translation: illegal aliens – should be allowed to vote. Of course, we know where Pelosi (and her Democratic caucus) stands on this issue. They believe anyone who lives in America, regardless of their citizenship status, should be able to vote in our elections. During her press conference, she made a rather strange appeal using a quote by President Ronald Reagan.

When we talk about newcomers, we have to recognize the constant reinvigoration of America that they are, that we all have been – our families. And that, unless you’re blessed to be Native American – which is a blessing in itself that we respect – but that constant reinvigoration of hope, determination, optimism, courage, to make the future better for the next generation, those are American traits.

And these newcomers make America more American. And we want them, when they come here, to be fully part of our system. And that means not suppressing the vote of our newcomers to America.

Ronald Reagan said this: ‘This is the last speech I will make as President of the United States and I have a message I want to communicate to the country I love.’ He went on to talk about the Statue of Liberty, what it means to the world and that beacon of hope, what it means to people who have come here and seen that statue to welcome them: our ancestors, our parents, our grandparents.

A ‘Candidate’ Is Leading the Democratic Race in Iowa, Despite Never Declaring Run

Former Vice President Joe Biden leads the way in the Democratic race in Iowa, even though he hasn’t officially joined the race for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

The first official poll from the Des Moines Register, assessing candidates for the Iowa Caucus set to take place just a little under a year from now, shows Biden in the lead with 25%, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is a close second with 25% of the vote, and the rest of the field far behind. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has around 9% of likely caucus-goers’ support, and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), a miserable 7%.

The Des Moines Register is the best tracking resource for Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucus, and although it’s only one of several early primaries for the Democratic field, it has a lasting impact on the nomination contest. In 2016, Sanders’ narrow loss to Hillary Clinton set up a narrative for the full 2016 primary season, ultimately leaving Sanders fans disenfranchised and convinced that Clinton had stolen the nomination from the more popular candidate.

The contest between Biden and Sanders seems no different, though Biden’s experience and overall political ideology polls well with Iowa voters — a good sign that Biden would have a significant base of support if and when he jumps into the race.

“Seventy percent of respondents say they believe Biden’s political views are neither too liberal nor too conservative, but instead, are “about right” — the highest percentage of any candidate tested,” the Register reports. “And 64 percent — including a majority in every demographic group — say they think Biden’s experience is an asset and he should enter the race. Radical LGBT Equality Act to Be Introduced in U.S. House Next Week

As promised during the midterm congressional elections last fall, Speaker of the House Rep. Nancy Pelosi has announced the impending introduction of sweeping pro-LGBT legislation long awaited by left-wing activists.

“Next week, [we] will be launching our Equality Act to end discrimination for the LGBTQ community and we will be launching our initiative to protect the DREAMers and temporary-protected status persons in our country,” the California Democrat announced Thursday, the pro-homosexual Washington Blade reports. “We said these things during the campaign, and we’re getting it done and we are telling the public about the paths that we are on to get them turned into law to make a difference in the lives of the American people.”

The so-called Equality Act would amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act to include “sex,” “sexual orientation,” and “gender identity” among expressly recognized “non-discrimination” categories in “public accommodations,” which would also be expanded to include many additional types of establishments including recreation, shopping, online retailers, healthcare services, and more.

It would also force anyone employing 15 or more people to recognize their claimed “gender identity,” forbid employers from “discriminating” based on “sexual orientation” or “gender identity,” and mandate transgender “access” to opposite-sex restrooms, locker rooms, and dressing rooms.

Conservatives have long warned that the legislation’s true purpose is not to protect homosexual or gender-confused Americans from tangible harm, but to force other Americans such as photographers, florists, and bakers to participate in same-sex “weddings”; and to force employers and businesses to accommodate cross-dressing, same-sex cohabitation, and sex-change treatments regardless of their own values or policies.
