Here’s How Chick-Fil-A Employees Aided a Man Whose Car Broke down in the Drive-Thru

Chick-fil-A, which is a perpetual target of the Left because of the religious views of its ownership, proved once again the kind of working environment it promotes when employees at an East Ridge, Tennessee, restaurant helped a customer change a flat tire on his truck after it broke down in the drive-thru lane.

As reported by The Blaze, the employees not only helped the man change out his tire, as opposed to just pushing it out of the way and waiting for AAA to come finish the job, but also replaced his cold food with some fresh, hot food, along with two free cookies.

In a Facebook post, the man, a worship leader named Brian Hall, referred to the employees as “saints” as he described his encounter. “Bunch of saints over at the chickfila in east ridge! My tire somehow went flat in the drive through so they rushed out to replace it for me with their hydraulic Jack,” he said. “They brought my food out to me then after it was done replaced my food with new fresh food so it wouldn’t be cold and put two cookies in there for free! Those people are truly doing the Lord’s work over there!”

Speaking with Fox News, Hall said that the employees took customer service to a whole other level by not only helping him change out his tire but not letting him participate.

“They rushed out when they saw what happened and wouldn’t let me do a thing,” he said. “I am a carpenter and work with my hands a lot, so it was a little funny letting other people do that for me, but they insisted. MS-13 Gang Member Convicted of Killing Man – This Football Jersey Set The Murderer Off

By Daily Wire. An MS-13 gang member was convicted of murder on Thursday after he “marked for death” a man in a Long Island deli because he was wearing Peyton Manning’s No. 18 jersey. . .

On Thursday, the court found Suarez guilty of murder, racketeering and assault connected to the murder of Alvarado-Bonilla and an assault in 2016 in Brentwood, New York.

The attempts by Suarez’s attorney to portray the killing as the result of a non-gang-related “stupid fight” among “dumb” youngster failed to convince the court.

“Suarez has been held responsible for the execution-style murder of a suspected gang rival and violent assaults, ruthless crimes that reflect the danger to our communities posed by MS-13,” said U.S. Attorney Richard Donoghue, the Post reported Thursday. “By his actions the defendant sought status within the gang, and with today’s verdict, what he has found instead is a mandatory sentence of life in prison.” (Read more from “MS-13 Gang Member Convicted of Killing Man – This Football Jersey Set the Murderer Off” HERE)

MS-13 Gangster Killed a Man for Wearing Peyton Manning Jersey: Feds

By NY Post. A ruthless gangster conspired to kill a man for wearing a Peyton Manning jersey — all to earn respect and raise his status with the MS-13 gang, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.

Jose Suarez, an associate of the MS-13 Sailors clique, is accused of being the getaway driver in the cold-blooded Jan. 29 killing of Esteban Alvarado-Bonilla in a Long Island deli.

“The only way he could rise up the ranks … was to commit outrageous acts of violence, including murder,” US Assistant Attorney Raymond A. Tierney said during opening arguments in the Central Islip courtroom.

Prosecutors said Suarez, 24, and his associates “marked for death” the victim because he was wearing a Manning number 18 jersey and was suspected of being part of the rival 18th Street gang. (Read more from “MS-13 Gangster Killed a Man for Wearing Peyton Manning Jersey: Feds” HERE)

Wikileaks Founder Assange Indicted

By Townhall. The Department of Justice announced an 18-count grand jury indictment against Wikileaks founder Julian Assange Thursday afternoon, including violations of the Espionage Act. The indictment alleges Assange had a “role in one of the largest compromises of classified information in the history of the United States.“

“The superseding indictment alleges that Assange was complicit with Chelsea Manning, a former intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army, in unlawfully obtaining and disclosing classified documents related to the national defense,” DOJ released in a statement. “Specifically, the superseding indictment alleges that Assange conspired with Manning; obtained from Manning and aided and abetted her in obtaining classified information with reason to believe that the information was to be used to the injury of the United States or the advantage of a foreign nation; received and attempted to receive classified information having reason to believe that such materials would be obtained, taken, made, and disposed of by a person contrary to law; and aided and abetted Manning in communicating classified documents to Assange.” (Read more from “Wikileaks Founder Assange Indicted” HERE)

DOJ Charges Assange with Publishing U.S. Secrets

By The Daily Beast. In a stunning escalation of the Trump administration’s war on the press, the Justice Department has indicted WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for revealing government secrets under the Espionage Act. It’s the first time a publisher has been charged under the World War I-era law.

The indictment charges Assange with 16 counts of receiving or disclosing material leaked by then-Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning in 2009 and 2010. The charges invoke broad provisions of the Espionage Act that make it a crime to disclose or retain any defense information knowing it “could be used to injure” the U.S. The act has no exception for reporters or publishers, but prior administrations have balked at invoking the law against journalists for fear of colliding with the First Amendment.

The Justice Department immediately sought to draw a distinction between Assange and the press in a briefing for reporters announcing the new indictment.

“The department takes seriously the role of journalists in our democracy and we thank you for it,” said John Demers, head of the department’s National Security Division. “It has not and never has been the department’s policy to target them for reporting. But Julian Assange is no journalist.” (Read more from “DOJ Charges Assange with Publishing U.S. Secrets” HERE)

Open Border Mystery: How Much of Trump’s Wall Has Been Built?

By Breitbart. The total mileage of new border wall constructed on land that did not previously have a barrier built on it at the United States-Mexico border remains unknown, as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has kept the number a mystery.

For months, the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency has touted the construction of a “new border wall system” at the southern border, citing that 38 miles as of March 21 have been built along the nearly 2,000-mile long border.

In a statement provided to Breitbart News two months ago, a CBP spokesperson said the 38 miles of newly constructed wall system “provides new capability by replacing ineffective or dilapidated infrastructure, such as Normandy-style barriers designed only to stop vehicles, not people on foot.” . . .

DHS, though, has refused for months to reveal the mileage of border wall that has been constructed at the southern border in areas that did not previously have barriers built. Breitbart News has made multiple requests to CBP officials, as well as a high-ranking DHS official, over the last two months and has yet to confirm the total mileage of new border wall on new land. . .

In March, National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd told Breitbart News that no new border wall on new land where there were previously no barriers has been built by the Trump administration. To date, Judd said, Trump’s DHS has only renovated existing border fences and constructed border wall that has replaced existing fencing. Trump Concedes Border Wall Construction Is Replacement and ‘Pure Renovation’

By Politico. President Donald Trump pushed back Wednesday against “haters” who say he is making little headway on his signature campaign promise of building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, though he admitted that much of the work currently being done was “pure renovation.”

“Much of the Wall being built at the Southern Border is a complete demolition and rebuilding of old and worthless barriers with a brand new Wall and footings. Problem is, the Haters say that is not a new Wall, but rather a renovation. Wrong, and we must build where most needed,” he wrote on Twitter. “Also, tremendous work is being done on pure renovation – fixing existing Walls that are in bad condition and ineffective, and bringing them to a very high standard!”

Trump oversaw the longest government shutdown in history earlier this year, an impasse created by his insistence on wall funding. His administration also remains mired in a legal battle over his attempt to skirt Congress to secure funding for his proposed border wall by declaring a national emergency.

The president has frequently touted the progress on his wall — much of which he’s portrayed as new construction, even though it is not. Trump has also occasionally acknowledged that current wall construction is mostly replacement work. Sex Cult Nxivm Leader Wanted Branding Ceremonies to Be Like Human Sacrifices

By NY Post. Accused sex cult leader Keith Raniere wanted the branding of his female slaves to mimic ritualistic human sacrifice, a Brooklyn jury heard Wednesday.

The Nxivm founder’s disturbing fantasies were captured on an audio recording by “Smallville” actress and DOS slave Allison Mack, while the two took an early morning walk together on January 9, 2017.

“Do you think the person who’s being branded should be held to the table, almost like a sacrifice?” Raniere asks Mack, adding that he thinks the slaves should be completely nude. “That’s a feeling of submission.” . . .

“It probably should be a more vulnerable position,” he muses. “Laying on the back, legs spread straight, held to the table. Hands above the head, probably held, almost like sacrificial.” (Read more from “Sex Cult Nxivm Leader Wanted Branding Ceremonies to Be Like Human Sacrifices” HERE)

Ex-Nxivm Disciple: Torture Was a Way of Life

By NY Post. Torture was a way of life in the Nxivm sex cult, a former disciple testified Monday.

Sick Svengali Keith Raniere wanted his collection of female sex “slaves” viciously spanked with studded sex toys, had them branded in excruciatingly painful procedures — and even plotted to build a basement dungeon to cage some of the women, ex-slave master Lauren Salzman told a Brooklyn federal court jury.

The idea was that “you were just in there till they let you out,’’ said Salzman. “It could be 10 minutes. It could be an hour. it could be days.”

The dungeon — slated for a home that the group bought in upstate Waterford — was just one in a slew of twisted plans Raniere used to keep control of his beaten-down harem, Salzman said. (Read more from “Ex-Nxivm Disciple: Torture Was a Way of Life” HERE)

Ben Carson Wants to Roll Back Obama Mandate on Gender Identity at Homeless Shelters

By Fox News. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson wants to roll back an Obama-era rule mandating that single-sex homeless shelters funded by his department admit residents based on their stated gender identity instead of their sex at birth, arguing that people could intentionally misrepresent their gender for malicious reasons.

In a new rule posted online on Wednesday, HUD said it wants to give the shelters it funds flexibility in devising their own policies for admissions at single-sex or sex-segregated shelters.

A senior HUD official told Fox News: “The federal government doesn’t need to be the bathroom police.”

HUD said the change is needed because the Equal Access Rule under the Obama administration “leaves no room for shelter providers to make decisions about potentially dangerous individuals who may misrepresent their gender to access gender-specific shelters.”

“Further, HUD’s current rule does not consider the practical concerns of shelter providers who serve vulnerable clientele in difficult conditions, including those seeking refuge from abusive relationships or domestic violence,” reads a department fact sheet, obtained by Fox News. Ben Carson Hits Back at Ilhan Omar After She Knocks His Performance During House Hearing

By Fox News. Ben Carson has fired back at Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., after the controversial freshman congresswoman criticized him after a hearing Tuesday.

Omar knocked the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) secretary over his conduct during an appearance before the House Financial Services Committee.

“Not sure he was fully awake, maybe he meant to reclaim his time back to sleep,” she quipped. She was playing off of Carson’s request for time during a testy exchange with Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass.

Carson, a renowned doctor and John’s Hopkins University’s former director of pediatric neurosurgery, fired back in a tweet by touting his endurance during marathon surgeries.

Pakistani Duplicity Caused the United States to Lose in Afghanistan

“The war in Vietnam was not lost in the field, nor was it lost on the front pages of the New York Times or the college campuses. It was lost in Washington, D.C.”

H. R. McMaster wrote that statement in his 1997 scathing critique of the Vietnam War, Dereliction of Duty: Lyndon Johnson, Robert McNamara, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Lies That Led to Vietnam. He was a major in the Army at that time. Now, he is a retired lieutenant general and former national security advisor to President Donald Trump.

It is indeed ironic that McMaster eventually contributed to what many people thought to be impossible by repeating the mistakes of Vietnam and losing the Afghanistan war—both in the field and in Washington, DC.

The real tragedy is that America’s leaders, in particular its military leaders, long knew that the war in Afghanistan could not be won having chosen to fight it in a manner that was alien to its nature, thus wasting both treasure and precious lives.

For over seventeen years we have wrongly applied counterinsurgency doctrine to a proxy war waged by Pakistan against the United States and Afghanistan. At the same time, we supplied Pakistan with generous aid packages to bribe them from pursuing a course of action opposed to our own, which they considered in their national interest.

Counterinsurgency was never a winning strategy as long as Pakistan controlled the supply of our troops in landlocked Afghanistan and regulated the operational tempo through its proxy army, the Taliban, which has maintained an extensive recruiting, training and financial support infrastructure inside Pakistan, where it has been immune to attack.

In essence, our leaders, through a combination of incompetence and indifference, allowed the United States to be defeated by Pakistan and paid them to do it.

Pakistan’s objectives for Afghanistan have always been different than those of the United States. Not only has Pakistan not helped the United States in Afghanistan, but from the very beginning through its support of the Taliban, Pakistan has actively worked against our interests and is responsible for prolongation of the war and the deaths and maiming of thousands of Americans and Afghans.

For example, Jalaluddin Haqqani, then the leader of the Haqqani Network, controlled the Khost region of eastern Afghanistan, which is where most of Osama bin Laden’s training camps and supporters were, was a CIA asset in the 1980s and met with U.S. officials soon after 9/11.

Journalist Steve Coll wrote:

“There was always a question about whether Haqqani was really Taliban, because he hadn’t come out of Kandahar; he wasn’t part of the core group. And it was quite reasonable to believe after 9/11 that maybe he could be flipped.”

In early October 2001, Haqqani made a secret trip to Pakistan, where Lt. Gen. Mahmood Ahmed, a religious hardliner and then director of Pakistan’s notorious intelligence agency, the ISI, advised him to hold out and not defect, promising that he would receive help.

Subsequently, Haqqani decided to stay with the Taliban and the Haqqani Network continues to be a threat and a source of instability in Afghanistan.

The United States was aware of Pakistan’s duplicity early on. Gary Berntsen, one of the first CIA operatives to arrive in Afghanistan, said:

“I assumed from the beginning of the conflict that ISI advisers were supporting the Taliban with expertise and materiel and, no doubt, sending a steady stream of intelligence back to [Pakistan].”

The same pattern of duplicitous behavior by Pakistan has continued over the last seventeen years.

Late last year, during a Taliban attack on the Afghan provincial capital of Ghazni, large numbers of Pakistani nationals were found among the dead, presumably fighting with the Taliban. The bodies were subsequently returned to Pakistan.

In a recently released video, Al Qaeda emphasizes its unity with Taliban and its role within the Taliban insurgency, as the jihadists, including Pakistanis, fight together to resurrect the Taliban’s Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

And yet American political leaders and senior military officers have done nothing, preferring to remain puzzled or indifferent as to why we have not won in Afghanistan.

Pakistanis openly brag that they have defeated the United States.

Shortly before his death in 2015, Lt. Gen. Hamid Gul, the former head of Pakistan’s ISI, a committed Islamist and known as the “godfather of the Taliban,” said in an Urdu language television interview:

“One day, history will say that the ISI drove the Soviet Union out of Afghanistan with the help of USA and another sentence will be recorded that says the ISI drove the USA out of Afghanistan with the help of the USA.”

The Pakistani audience roared with laughter and applauded in approval.

The problem of Pakistan as the actual instigator of the Afghan conflict was never adequately addressed and Taliban safe havens in Pakistan remained largely untouched.

Pressure was never applied to Pakistan’s pain points, its moribund economy and financial insolvency and the existential threat of ethnic separatism, in particular among Pakistan’s Baloch and Pashtun populations.

On the ground in Afghanistan, the war effort has been a program on automatic pilot, where everyone has been constantly reassured that everything was going according to plan and “progress was being made,” a phrase I heard endlessly during my own 2010 tenure at International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Headquarters in Kabul. If the effectiveness of the strategy was ever questioned within the military chain of command, then it had no obvious effect.

Lacking any new ideas or even a recognition of reality, we chose to continue pursuing a proven inappropriate counterinsurgency approach in Afghanistan, which has now forced the United States into direct negotiations with the Taliban, a concession we had previously refused to consider.

Yet, an American withdrawal will only become a humiliating defeat, if the United States is forced into strategic retreat from South Asia because we do not have a plan in place to address the changing regional conditions in a post–U.S. Afghanistan.

The only bargaining chip the United States has in peace negotiations is our presence in Afghanistan, which has been the primary target of the Taliban negotiators, insisting that the United States announce a six-month withdrawal plan.

The American “presence” argument is tenuous at best. The United States should be identifying new forms of leverage to bolster our negotiating position in the short term and, longer term, provide a basis for a new South Asian strategy.

The recently-announced effort to strengthen military ties with India is a step in the right direction.

The United States should also include measures to thwart plans by the China-Pakistan Axis for regional hegemony. Beijing intends to extend its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) throughout South Asia, including Afghanistan, and follow it with the establishment of military facilities, such as Chinese naval bases on the Arabian Sea.

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is the flagship of BRI. Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan is CPEC’s center of gravity and the location of a festering independence insurgency. Just recently, the Balochistan Liberation Army made a daring and high-profile attack on the Pearl Continental Hotel in the heart of the Chinese-run port of Gwadar, CPEC’s centerpiece project.

An independent Balochistan could fulfill a number of U.S. strategic interests in the region, for example: providing Afghanistan a friendly neighbor and access to the sea; eliminating a major area of Pakistan’s terrorist infrastructure; placing additional pressure on Iran, which has its own restive Baloch population; and blocking Chinese ambitions for economic and military dominance of South Asia.

The foundations of a new U.S. strategy in South Asia should include burden shifting and, when necessary, strategic disruption of our adversaries.

Rat-Infested Mountains of Rotting Garbage Are Piling up in Los Angeles — and May Spur Disease Epidemic

By The Blaze. Mountains of rat-infested uncollected garbage are piling up in Los Angeles and experts are afraid that they may spur on an epidemic of disease that could have been prevented.

The trash has been abandoned by the city and attracts rats that can carry fleas and spread diseases like typhus.

A report from NBC4-Los Angeles found that the business owners and residents are angry at the city for allowing the garbage to worsen and threaten their health.

“I can’t walk down the street without thinking that a flea could jump on me,” said Estela Lopez, a local business leader.

One study found that Los Angeles is the second most rat-infested city in the country, with New York lagging behind in third place, but Chicago coming out on top with a first-place finish. Rotting Trash Piles Sky-High in LA, Attracting Rats and Raising Concerns of a New Epidemic

By NBC Washington. An out-of-control rat population can even lead to the spread of dangerous strains of salmonella and bubonic plague, he noted.

Other large U.S. cities, like New York and Washington DC, have teams devoted to aggressive rat control. In the nation’s capital, they’re experimenting with bait stations laced with a rat contraceptive.

But in Los Angeles, the I-Team learned there is no plan or program to control the growing rat population that feasts at trash piles like the one on Ceres Avenue.

“It’s something that we’ll look into,” said Pepe Garica, of Los Angeles’ bureau of sanitation.

Rats carrying typhus-infected fleas were found around LA last fall, according to county health department records obtained by the I-Team. The agency did not provide details about where the fleas were found, saying that information would cause confusion and unnecessary alarm, but the I-Team discovered that typhus-infected fleas were found on animals waiting to be adopted at the North Central Animal Shelter. Romney Blasts Idea of Trump Pardoning Navy SEAL Accused of Stabbing Wounded ISIS Fighter

Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, is not happy about the possibility that President Donald Trump may pardon a Navy SEAL accused of war crimes.

“I think it’s a terrible idea to pardon someone who is legitimately convicted of committing war crimes,” Romney told the HuffPost on Tuesday. “It’s unthinkable.”

The New York times reported that, over the weekend, the White House requested the necessary paperwork to pardon Navy SEAL Chief Edward “Eddie” Gallagher, who has pleaded not guilty to charges of firing on civilians in 2017 and fatally stabbing an already wounded ISIS fighter. He was turned in by his fellow SEALs.

Despite the recent firestorm over the idea of pardoning Gallagher before the trial is over, his case has found some defense in conservative media.

“He could be guilty of the crimes of which he has been accused,” writes Marine combat veteran and conservative commentator Jesse Kelly in a piece pointing out that most people have no idea the kind of strain special operations warfare puts on human beings. “He could be completely innocent. I was not there. You were not there. We do not know. Given the absence of any physical evidence, and the fact that the ‘witnesses’ are now clamming up and now refuse to talk, the charges against him appear flaky at best.”

Kelly also added that the current debate about Gallagher’s case has more to do with politics than with justice: “Make no mistake about it, the newfound interest you see in painting Eddie Gallagher as some sort of bloodthirsty war criminal has precious little to do with what Gallagher did or didn’t do. This is now about Trump.”

More recently, Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, a former Navy SEAL who lost one of his eyes in combat, said that Gallagher should face trial before being considered for a pardon: “These cases should be decided by the courts, where the entirety of the evidence can be viewed. Only after that should a pardon be considered.”

Gallagher’s trial is scheduled to begin next week, but the NYT story reported that a military official said that “all files would have to be complete before Memorial Day weekend, because the President planned to pardon the men then.” (For more from the author of “Romney Blasts Idea of Trump Pardoning Navy SEAL Accused of Stabbing Wounded ISIS Fighter” please click HERE)

Democrat: Trump Administration Murdering Children

First-term Democrat Rep. Lauren Underwood of Illinois accused the Trump administration of murdering children during a hearing with Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan on Wednesday.

Underwood said:

People keep dying, and so this is obviously more than a question of resources. Congress has been more than willing to provide the resources and work with you to address the security and humanitarian concerns, but at this point, with five kids that have died, 5,000 separated from their families, I feel like — and the evidence is really clear — that this is intentional. It’s intentional. It’s a policy choice, being made on purpose by this administration, and it’s cruel and inhumane.

McAleenan responded: “That’s an appalling accusation, and our men and women fight hard to protect people in our custody every single day. We’ve asked for those resources three weeks ago, it hasn’t been responded to by Congress, and we’ve asked for changes in authority for the last three years that would have prevented this from happening.”

Ranking Member Mike Rogers (R-AL) objected, and moved that Underwood’s remarks be “taken down.” (Read more from “Democrat: Trump Administration Murdering Children” HERE)
