Trump’s Plan to Make Air Force One Look ‘More American’ Has Some House Democrats Fuming

By Fox News. President Trump’s plan to give Air Force One a bolder, more updated, “more American” look has some Democrats angrier than a traveler who just missed a flight.

On Thursday, the president revealed mockups of a proposed new design for the presidential jet, showing a new red-white-and-blue color scheme that features a darker blue base color instead of the lighter “sky blue” that has been used on the plane since the Kennedy administration. . .

The proposed redesign comes as part of a contract with Boeing to build two new Air Force One jets to replace the current models, which are more than 30 years old. Trump reached a deal with Boeing to buy the jets for $3.9 billion – after negotiating a $1.4 billion reduction from the original estimate.

But one day earlier, a Connecticut Democrat introduced an amendment to a Pentagon spending plan that calls for congressional approval for spending on “interior, paint and fixtures.” . . .

Another Democrat, Rep. John Garamendi of California, told the newspaper that the U.S. should be careful before changing the appearance of a plane that he said is symbolic of American leadership around the globe. Trump Defends New Air Force One Paint Job: ‘The Baby Blue Doesn’t Fit with Us’

By Iowa City Press-Citizen. President Donald Trump is defending his decision to repaint Air Force One, saying Friday the new red, white and blue color scheme will be a better fit for the presidential plane.

“I think it’s going to look much better actually,” he said during a lengthy interview on Fox and Friends.

Trump unveiled the new colors, which will replace the current cyan, white and blue, in a separate interview with ABC News on Tuesday.

Thirteen White Police Officers Sue City for Racial Discrimination

Thirteen white police officers are suing the City of San Francisco for alleged discrimination due to their race and refusing to give them promotions in favor of minority candidates. . .

The lawsuit challenges a “test-scoring method that the city adopted in 1979 in response to a lawsuit from a group representing black and female officers, who alleged discrimination in hiring and promotions,” according to Time Magazine.

Time Magazine also reports that Mullanax argued before the court, “In 2016, the department promoted three black sergeants, even though their scores were lower than those of 11 white candidates who were denied promotions.”

The police department defended its methods. John Coté, a spokesman for City Attorney Dennis Herrera, told the San Francisco Chronicle that the Police Department “uses lawful, merit-based civil service examinations in making promotions. The method is “designed to provide qualified individuals with the chance for advancement while ensuring fair treatment without regard to race, gender, religion, age or other status.” . . .

In This State, Minors Need Parental Permission for Ibuprofen, but Not for an Abortion

The Republican governor of Vermont signed legislation this week which makes it legal for minors to obtain an abortion without parental consent. Vermont law also allows non-physicians, including registered nurse practitioners, to perform abortions. To put in perspective how radical the state’s abortion standards are, consider that parents have to give their child written or verbal permission to obtain so much as an ibuprofen pill from the school nurse, but do not have to approve of their daughter’s obtaining a life-altering decision like abortion under GOP Gov. Phil Scott’s new law. . .

The bill does not include an age limit on which individuals can obtain an abortion. In fact, while the bill was going through the state legislature, several representatives tried adding amendments which would have specified that those under 18-years-old would need permission from their parents and legal guardians before obtaining an abortion. . .

The final version of the bill which Gov. Scott signed did not include any provisions about notification of a minor’s parent before that child received an abortion. Yet, according to HealthVermont.gov, students under the age of 18 need permission from parents to take prescribed and non-prescribed medicine on school grounds under state law.

The primary reason for requiring parental permission for headache medicine, according to the Vermont Department of Health/Agency of Education is to “assure that medications administered to students are done so in a way that assures safety and compliance with state law and school policies and procedures. ICE Has 297 Confirmed Cases of Mumps in Custody. How Many Have Been Released into the U.S.?

I’ve been reporting for months about the mumps epidemic particularly among Honduran migrants, but the government has finally officially released the information. CNN is reporting that there have been 297 confirmed cases of mumps in ICE holding facilities since last September. In 39 detention facilities, “5,200 detainees in quarantine across those centers, around 4,200 are for exposure to mumps. Around 800 were exposed to chicken pox and 100 have been exposed to both.”

The question few are asking is how many were released into our communities who were not detained or quarantined in ICE facilities but were carrying mumps nonetheless? Some are trying to suggest that the cause of the outbreak is unknown or that somehow it’s even the fault of ICE, as if these people were living in pristine conditions in Honduras until ICE crammed them into concentration camps where they contracted the disease. CNN, in the same paragraph that it admits “last September was the first time the agency recorded mumps cases,” goes on to suggest, “It’s not clear where the disease derived from or how it spread.”

Obviously, absent media access to the bloodwork, we have no way of scientifically proving anything, but the key word lost on CNN’s reporter is “September.”

This is not some mystery. September was the month when the Honduran government declared a national health emergency over mumps. Shortly thereafter, the largest caravan left from the country with thousands of migrants coming with no access to health care or sanitary conditions. Most of the caravans left from San Pedro Sula, a northern Honduran town that had 1,336 reported cases of mumps as of April. It doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure out where this is coming from.

While Guatemala was the number one sending country for the past several years, in recent months, since the growth of organized caravans, Hondurans have overtaken Guatemalans as the number one source of illegal immigration. For example, based on the numbers I’ve seen from the first week of June in Texas, there were 33 percent more Hondurans than Guatemalans apprehended, even though last year and in the early part of this fiscal year there were many more Guatemalans. This is why there are now 51 confirmed cases of mumps in Hidalgo County, Texas, which just happens to be the most trafficked border county. And it now has the largest mumps outbreak in America.

Therefore, now that we established it’s inconceivable that this was not driven by the source in Honduras and did not originate in the ICE facilities, there is no reason why those in custody were more susceptible to it than those released without ever going into custody. In fact, the overwhelming majority of those in ICE custody are single adults, while those with kids are being released, often within hours. Mumps is more prevalent among kids.

Over 204,000 illegal aliens have been released into the country since December 21, 2018. Acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan admitted that “100 percent” of family units are being released, many of them directly without ever entering an ICE facility. McAleenan also testified that “family units are released into our communities with unknown vaccination status and without a standard medical examination for communicable diseases of public health concern.” We also know that according to the Homeland Security Advisory Council report, “73% of the children in FMUs illegally crossing our border are tender aged, being 12 or younger.”

Why is the government placing Americans in danger? There is no way mumps is not being spread outside ICE facilities. For this reason alone, the president has the authority to shut off all migration requests and turn back every family unit at the border or at least refuse to allow them to cross a quarantine line.

Also, what about American doctors and nurses working in strained border town hospitals being exposed to these people? What about the border agents? Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council Chris Cabrera said that a number of agents are calling in sick because they came into contact with lice, scabies, pneumonia, tuberculosis, measles, mumps, the chicken pox, endless strains of the flu, and aggressive chest colds.

Name of Potential Sarah Sanders Replacement Emerges

Hours after President Donald Trump announced that White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders would be leaving her position at the end of the month, a name emerged from multiple sources close to the president for who should be Sanders’ replacement.

Stephanie Grisham, the White House Director of Communications for first lady Melania Trump, has been a loyal soldier fighting to advance Trump’s agenda dating all the way back to his first month on the campaign trail in 2015 when she was a low-level press staffer.

In December, The Washington Post noted that Grisham has grown to become “one of the more powerful figures in the ever-evolving Trump White House” and referred to Grisham as “Melania Trump’s enforcer.”

A source close to the White House told The Daily Wire on Thursday night Grisham “has proven herself to be a stone-cold killer” and that “no one else comes close” to being able to match Grisham in her ability to command problems that arise. . .

Another source, a Trump ally close to the President and the Trump family, told The Daily Wire: “Stephanie Grisham is a favorite of Trump loyalists, many in the national press corps, and most important, the Trump family. The First Lady loves Stephanie’s tenacity and loyalty, and President Trump has remarked that he respects Stephanie’s ability to stay cool under pressure and manage the toughest of news cycles. Trump Responds to Calls to Fire Kellyanne Conway After Report She Violated Federal Law

A new report by a federal government watchdog issued Thursday determined that White House adviser Kellyanne Conway violated the Hatch Act — which limits political activities of federal employees — on “numerous occasions” by repeatedly blasting Democratic presidential candidates. For the violations, the watchdog recommended that Conway be removed. But in an interview with “Fox & Friends” Friday, Trump made clear that’s not going to happen.

“I’m not gonna fire her. I think she’s a terrific person. She’s a tremendous spokesperson,” Trump told the hosts, in comments reported by Fox News.com. Trump went on to criticize the Office of Special Counsel — an independent office tasked with government oversight (unrelated to the Robert Mueller investigation) — with “trying to take away her right of free speech” and suggesting that he wouldn’t ask her to dial back her rhetoric, saying he believes government employees should be allowed “to express themselves.”

On Thursday, the Office of Special Counsel Henry Kerner issued a letter recommending the dismissal of Conway, citing “numerous violations of the Hatch Act.”

“Attached to this letter is a copy of the U.S. Office of Special Counsel’s (OSC) investigative report detailing numerous violations of the Hatch Act by Counsellor to the President Kellyanne Conway,” the letter reads. “Ms. Conway’s disregard for the restrictions the Hatch Act places on executive branch employees is unacceptable. If Ms. Conway were any other federal employee, her multiple violations would almost certainly result in removal from her federal position by the Merit Systems Protection Board. As a highly visible member of the Administration, Ms. Conway’s violations, if left unpunished, would send a message to all federal employees that they need not abide by the Hatch Act’s restrictions. New York Ends Religious Exemptions for Vaccine Mandates

On Thursday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, signed a bill into law that will immediately end religious exemptions for vaccine mandates.

Cuomo said he signed the bill in order to protect the public in the midst of one of the worst measles outbreak in decades, which he categorized as a “public health crisis,” reported CBS New York.

The outbreak first sparked in October, the outlet noted, and spread in parts of New York City, particularly among Orthodox Jewish communities.

“Rockland County declared a countywide State of Emergency relating to the ongoing measles outbreak,” reported NBC in March. “Effective at the stroke of midnight, Wednesday, anyone who is under 18 years of age and unvaccinated against the measles will be barred from public places until this declaration expires in 30 days or until they receive the MMR vaccination.”

With the passing of the law, parents will be forced to vaccinate their children before they can attend school in the state, and religious exemptions won’t get them out of it. Parents and teens have morally objected to certain vaccines based upon ties to abortion. Now, the only acceptable exemptions from the mandate will be for medical reasons, such as a child’s weakened immune system. Andrew McCabe Thinks This Recent Trump Comment Makes Him a Threat to National Security

By Breitbart. Thursday on MSNBC’s “Deadline,” former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe commented on President Donald Trump saying he would accept “dirt” on political opponents from foreign governments.

McCabe said, “As you know, the standard for opening our case is when we have information that might indicate that a threat to national security might exist or that a federal crime may have been committed. And so, in that time, in May of 2017, we clearly had that sort of information. We knew what the Russians had been doing since 2014, 2015, attacking our cyber infrastructure, our academic institutions, government institutions, think tanks. We knew they attacked the DNC. They weaponized that material to try to hurt Candidate Clinton and help Candidate Trump. We knew Trump was upset about the fact we were investigating that activity. Andrew McCabe Says It’s Time to Start an Impeachment Inquiry into Trump

By CNN Politics. Former acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe said Thursday that the time has come to begin an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

On CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time,” Chris Cuomo asked McCabe, “Do you believe that an impeachment inquiry is warranted based on what you understand and what has come out of the Mueller report?” . . .

Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Lets Stand $195,000 Fine Against Anti-Abortion Activist Who Exposed Alleged Fetal Tissue Sales

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals let stand a $195,000 fine against an anti-abortion activist and his lawyers last week, Courthouse News reported. . .

Anti-abortion activist David Daleiden — who recorded undercover videos exposing alleged fetal tissue trafficking by Planned Parenthood — appealed the fine, but the three-judge Ninth Circuit panel dismissed it, saying it doesn’t have jurisdiction to review the findings until the case’s final judgment is reached, the outlet said.

U.S. District Judge William Orrick III in 2016 granted the National Abortion Federation’s request to block the release of videos, citing the safety and privacy of abortion providers, Courthouse News said. But in 2017 Daleiden’s criminal defense lawyers Steve Cooley and Brentford Ferreira posted links to the videos and abortion providers’ names on their website — all of which were presented as evidence to support Daleiden defense, the outlet said.

But Orrick ruled the latter actions violated his injunction against further disclosure and ordered Daleiden and his lawyers to pay $195,000 to the National Abortion Federation to cover legal fees and costs for added security due to the videos’ release, Courthouse News said. . .

Orrick said he reviewed hundreds of hours of videos and found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the abortionists, Courthouse News said, adding that the judge said Daleiden misleadingly edited videos to make it appear as though abortion providers were breaking the law.

Bernie Sanders Claims Americans ‘Will Be Delighted to Pay More in Taxes’ but Refuses to Himself

On Wednesday, Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders spoke with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, demonstrating not only how out of touch he is with what Americans want, but also his blatant hypocrisy.

When asked by Cooper if enough Americans know what socialism looks like, Bernie Sanders went into a laundry list of socialist talking points about what other countries have that we don’t that makes them so much better. Cooper actually pressed him on this point, noting that “the taxes in many of those countries are much higher than they are—individual and personal tax are—much higher than they are in the United States.” . . .

It’s bad enough that Bernie pretends to believe Americans want to pay more in taxes, but it’s even worse that he makes this claim when he personally chooses not to pay more in taxes. When he released his 2014 tax returns during the 2016 presidential elections, he paid an effective tax rate of 13.5 percent on a joint income of $205,271, which is lower than the average income tax rate for that income.

Bernie Sanders has also been called out for accepting tax breaks that he campaigns against, and, once he became a millionaire after writing his bestselling book, not voluntarily paying the tax rate he says millionaires should pay. Bernie Sanders is the epitome of why socialism doesn’t work. He knows that as part of the elite he won’t have to live under the same rules as non-one-percenters will in a socialist system.
