Federal Judge Orders FBI to Search for More Christopher Steele Docs

After years of legal wrangling, a federal judge has given the FBI 60 days to cough up records of their communications with former British spy Christopher Steele after he was terminated as a confidential human source.

The conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch first sought FBI documents on Steele in May of 2017 through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. The court initially sided with the FBI but reopened the case in 2018 when evidence emerged that Steele was an FBI informant. Judicial Watch again asked the FBI to search for their Steele records, but the FBI continued to stonewall, declining to confirm or deny that they even existed.

Now, U.S. District Court Judge Christopher Cooper has put an end to the cat-and-mouse game.

“Those records might either bolster or weaken Steele’s credibility as a source,” Judge Cooper said in his ruling. “That information, in turn, could provide a basis on which to evaluate the FBI’s performance of its law-enforcement duties, including its judgment in selecting and relying on confidential sources, especially in connection with such a politically sensitive subject.” . . .

According to documents released in August of 2018, the Bureau in 2016 made eleven payments to Steele, who was at the time working for the Democratic opposition research firm Fusion GPS, which was hired by the Perkins Coie law firm on behalf of the DNC and Clinton campaign. Incredibly, Steele’s Democratic funding was never disclosed to the FISA court. (Read more from “Federal Judge Orders FBI to Search for More Christopher Steele Docs” HERE)

Playboy Reporter Sues White House

Playboy White House correspondent Brian Karem has filed a lawsuit against President Donald Trump and press secretary Stephanie Grisham, after having his credentials temporarily revoked. . .

Karem lost his daily access “hard pass” for 30 days after he traded barbs with former Trump aide Sebastian Gorka during a social media summit in the White House Rose Garden on July 11, The Hill reported.

On Tuesday, Karem’s attorney, Theodore J. Boutrous, Jr. issued a statement, saying:

Today we filed a lawsuit against President Trump and Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham asking the federal district court in Washington, D.C. to order the immediate restoration of the press credentials of Playboy White House correspondent Brian Karem and to enjoin the ongoing violation of his First and Fifth Amendment rights. We are confident that the Administration’s latest punitive and lawless action against a journalist will not stand, and we look forward to our day in court.

. . .

The situation with Karem is reminiscent of CNN White Correspondent Jim Acosta having his credentials suspended last year following a contentious press conference with President Trump. CNN sued, and the White House restored Acosta’s press pass after a nearly two-week long saga. (Read more from “Playboy Reporter Sues White House” HERE)

Scam Alert: Fake ICE Agents Calling to Solicit Money, Threaten Deportation

Scammers posing as Immigration and Customs Enforcement are reportedly targeting immigrants, calling them on the telephone and threatening them with deportation if they do not turn over sums of money. . .

Palos Park Police Department Chief Joe Miller told the outlet that an area teacher and professional have been hit with the same phone calls. The phone calls, according to the outlet, demand payment via gift cards or money orders. The caller also reportedly threatens that there is a warrant out for the person’s arrest. . .

Numbers showing up on victims caller IDs are actual DHS numbers, part of a telephone spoofing scam targeting individuals throughout the country. Spoofing is the deliberate falsifying of information transmitted to a caller ID display to disguise an identity. . .

The Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General issued an alert about the very same scam in which people were disguising themselves as ICE agents and demanding money. . .

The perpetrators of the scam represent themselves as employees with “U.S. Immigration” or other government entities. They alter caller ID systems to make it appear that the call is coming from the DHS HQ Operator number (202-282-8000) or the DHS Civil Rights and Civil Liberties (CRCL) number (202-401-1474). The scammers obtain or verify personally identifiable information from their victims through various tactics, including by telling individuals that they are the victims of identity theft. The scammers also pose as law enforcement or immigration officials and threaten victims with arrest unless they make payments to the scammers using a variety of methods. The scammers have also emailed victims from email addresses ending in “uscis.org.” Many of the scammers reportedly have pronounced accents.

Justice Department Tells Supreme Court: DACA Amnesty Is Illegal

President Barack Obama’s 2012 DACA amnesty is “at best … legally questionable; at worst, it is illegal,” the Department of Justice says in a legal brief to the Supreme Court.

The department’s legal brief says President Donald Trump has the political and legal authority to shut down the DACA amnesty for roughly 800,000 illegals who were brought into the United States by their parents.

But Trump’s 2017 shutdown has been stalled by progressive judges, forcing the U.S. Supreme Court to make the final decision. The court’s hearing on DACA is expected in November, and the decision is expected in early 2020, during the 2020 election campaign. . .

The lower courts’ intervention also denies Trump a big bargaining chip in routine congressional debates over immigration. For example, the courts’ intervention means neither the Democrats nor Trump can swap DACA in exchange for reforms of the nation’s loophole-ridden asylum and child-migrant rules. Those flawed rules have allowed several hundred thousand Central American migrants into the nation’s labor and housing markets since 2018.

The DACA amnesty also encourages more migrants to bring their children into the United States in the hope of getting a future DACA-2 amnesty. Democrat legislators have encouraged this hope by offering Dreamer legislation which amnesties illegals who arrived after Obama’s amnesty.

‘Impeachment August’ Campaign a Dud (VIDEO)

Progressive groups were hoping to make this month “Impeachment August,” but with only 12 days to go, they are falling short of their self-stated goals.

Twelve progressive groups joined together to launch a campaign on August 1 with a goal to pressure House Democrats to come out in support of President Trump’s impeachment. While the American public remains deeply divided on impeachment, Democrats overwhelmingly support it.

The groups had planned to pressure their representatives at town halls and other public appearances after they returned to their districts for the August recess, in hopes of getting them to back impeachment if they had not done so already. . .

However — according to a recent Post piece, they have failed to convince any vulnerable Democrat freshman or any vulnerable Democrat to back impeachment. The Post reported on August 15:

The focus of ‘Impeachment August’ is on the minority of House Democrats who have not endorsed impeachment proceedings yet, with a particular goal of getting the freshmen elected in swing districts to take a firm position. So far, no swing-seat Democrat who was skeptical about impeachment before the start of the recess has been converted.

Man Loses Gun Rights Thanks to Red Flag Laws and a Case of Mistaken Identity

. . .Just last week, a man in Florida had his firearms confiscated simply because he had the same name as a criminal. That’s right. A man was stripped of his Second Amendment right…because the police failed to differentiate a law-abiding citizen with a thug.

According to Ammoland, Jonathan Carpenter received a certified letter from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services saying his concealed handgun permit had been suspended for “acts of domestic violence or acts of repeat violations.” . . .

The Sheriff’s office supplied Carpenter with a copy of the injunction. In the statement, the plaintiff stated that she rented a room out to a “Jonathan Edward Carpenter” and his girlfriend. She alleged that this Carpenter was a drug dealer who broke her furniture and sold her belongings without her permission. He had a gun, and she feared for her life. She was not sure if the firearm was legal or not. . .

The man in question is 5’8. Carpenter is 5’11. The alleged drug dealer is 110lbs. Carpenter is over 200. The man has black hair. Carpenter is completely bald. Last but not least, the man in question is covered in tattoos, and Carpenter only has a few.

. . .

Carpenter’s firearms had to remain in police custody until the plaintiff can say, in court, that he’s not the man that she filed a complaint against. He’d then have to petition the court to get his firearms back…and he would have to bear the cost. Carpenter will get his day in court later this month. Leftist Has a Meltdown on CNN, Justifies Palestinian Suicide Bombings

In case you missed it, the organization sponsoring a planned trip to Israel by Democrat Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib celebrates suicide bombings and the slaughter of children. They also spread vicious lies about Israel to fuel anti-Semitic hatred.

The group’s name is Miftah. During a panel discussion yesterday on CNN, Atlantic writer and CNN contributor Peter Beinart justified the use of suicide bombings by Palestinian terrorists. He did so during a ranting defense of Omar and Tlaib’s association with the organization. National Review’s Rich Lowry pushed back.

Ouch: Jill Biden Doesn’t Exactly Give a Ringing Endorsement of Her Husband

That’s basically the message from Dr. Jill Biden, wife of presidential hopeful and former Vice President Joe Biden, who recently told Democrats that they might have to “swallow a little bit” in order to vote for her lackluster husband, since, like it or not, he’s the most electable candidate in the field.

“Your candidate might be better on, I don’t know, healthcare, than Joe is,” Mrs. Biden said, “but you’ve got to look at who’s going to win this election, and maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say, ‘Okay, I personally like so-and-so better,’ but your bottom line has to be that we have to beat Trump.” . . .

“Yes, I know that not all of you are committed to my husband, and I respect that,” Mrs. Biden continued, “but I want you to think about your candidate, his or her electability, and who’s going to win this race.”

“If you’re looking at that, you’ve got to look at the polls,” the former Second Lady said, noting that people should ignore the “polls don’t mean anything” chants because of their consistency: “If they’re consistent, and they’re consistently saying the same thing, I think you can’t dismiss that.”

“If your goal is to beat Donald Trump, we have to get someone who can beat Donald Trump,” she added, emphasizing that Democrats need to gain on Independent and disaffected Republican voters.

Disgusting Actress Says Her ‘Life Would Be Completely Lacking’ If Not for Her Abortions

. . .According to Yahoo News, the former “Charmed” actress and noted feminist activist revealed in the latest of her podcast “Sorry Not Sorry” that she had two abortions in her early twenties when her relationship with her boyfriend went south.

“In 1993, I had two abortions,” Milano said. “I was in love for the first time in the breathless way you can only be in love when you are young. It was huge — overwhelming even. It filled every part of living. It was a joyful and exciting and powerful time in my life.”

Milano did not say who the man was, though Yahoo News noted that she “fell in love with actor Scott Wolf that year while making ‘Double Dragon,'” which eventually resulted in the two getting engaged after moving in together.

Despite being on the birth control, Milano admitted that she still got pregnant, which caused a great deal of emotion in her due to her Catholic background. She did know, however, that she was “not equipped to be a mother and so I chose to have an abortion. I chose. It was my choice. And it was absolutely the right choice for me.” . . .

“I would not have my children — my beautiful, perfect, loving, kind an inquisitive children — who have a mother who was so very, very ready for them,” she continued. “Fifteen years after that first love had fizzled, my life would be completely lacking all its great joys. I would never had been free to be myself — and that’s what this fight is all about: freedom.” (Read more from “Disgusting Actress Says Her ‘Life Would Be Completely Lacking’ If Not for Her Abortions” HERE)

Fake News: CNN Accuses ICE of Ripping Baby Away From Nursing Mother – Who Wasn’t Nursing

According to ICE, some media outlets are now trying to lie about a woman breastfeeding a child in order to thwart immigration law.

It all began with a Jackson Clarion-Ledger story last Thursday, with the headline: “ICE raid separates 4-month-old baby from breastfeeding mom,” referring to an anonymous illegal alien detained among the 680 netted in the large ICE raid in Mississippi on August 7. In prose full of sympathy for illegal immigrants and for treating them as if they came here legally, the Clarion-Ledger quoted an anonymous dad saying he had to bottle-feed a four-month-old baby girl separated from her mother. It reported this as fact without citing any sources and without investigating the claim.

Throughout the past few days, the media ran with the claim as their latest poster child for undermining immigration enforcement. Rachel Maddow frantically tweeted it out.

Then, yesterday, CNN ran an article with the name of the mother at the center of this allegation, Maria Domingo-Garcia. CNN reported the story as if the illegal immigrants were as American as apple pie, simply going to work one day and being grabbed by stormtroopers for no reason.

Once again, the media ate out of the hands of unethical immigration attorneys. CNN obtained the following statement from the attorney:

“ICE is, once again, lying,” said Ybarra Maldonado. “She said nobody’s asked her — not even one time — if she’s been breastfeeding.”

“Can you imagine having a 4-month-old baby and being ripped away from that baby, unsure of who is taking care of her?” he said. “She’s devastated.”

Manzanarez added Domingo-Garcia told her that detention center staff has asked her only if she has a 4-month-old daughter, to which she replied “yes.”

I began to get suspicious when the CNN article mentioned that an ICE official said this mother was specifically asked by a medical examiner if she was breastfeeding and answered, “No.” Immigration lawyers regularly go to sympathetic reporters and fabricate stories in order to get the media to essentially nullify the rule of law with virtue-signaling that often turns out to be based on false facts. Well, according to ICE, that is exactly what happened here.

Not only was Domingo asked whether she was nursing on the day she was detained at the facility, to which she answered negatively, it turns out she was screened again yesterday. “Pursuant to subsequent media reports that falsely alleged Ms. Domingo-Garcia was being detained despite being a nursing mother, an ICE Health Services Corps nurse practitioner conducted an additional medical examination of Ms. Domingo-Garcia, which verified today she is not lactating,” said ICE spokesman Bryan Cox in a statement to CR last night.

That means she was screened again on August 19 to confirm she is not lactating.

“Unlawfully present Mexican national Maria Domingo-Garcia was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during the execution of federal criminal search warrants in Mississippi August 7. All ICE detainees receive medical, dental and mental health intake screening within 12 hours of arriving at each detention facility; that screening includes a woman being asked if she is breast feeding. During her initial medical screening, Ms. Domingo-Garcia answered no to that question.” (For more from the author of “Fake News: CNN Accuses ICE of Ripping Baby Away From Nursing Mother – Who Wasn’t Nursing” please click HERE)
