WATCH: Did Nadler Seriously Fall Asleep During Impeachment Hearing?; Democrats’ Impeachment Argument Again Comes up Short

By Daily Caller. Democratic New Jersey Rep. Jerry Nadler was caught on camera appearing to have some difficulty keeping his eyes open as his Judiciary Committee colleague, Republican Ohio Rep. Steve Chabot, was speaking during Wednesday’s impeachment hearing.

The momentary lapse by the House Judiciary Committee chairman was posted by the Trump War Room Twitter account, which was quick to poke a little fun with some sleep-appropriate music.

In fairness to Nadler, staying away during the entirety of Wednesday’s hearings would have been a monumental task for anyone. It included the testimony of four legal scholars, three of whom were invited by Democrats. (Read more from “WATCH: Did Nadler Seriously Fall Asleep During Impeachment Hearing?” HERE)

Democrats’ Impeachment Argument Again Comes up Short

By New York Post. The impeachment inquiry against President Trump took an important turn in the first House Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday.

Judging by the opening remarks of Chairman Jerry Nadler and the opening testimony of constitutional law professors, congressional Democrats are moving away from bribery. Instead, they have shifted their impeachment case, now accusing the president of having abused his office.

Before this latest hearing, it was peculiar that there were yet no proposed articles of impeachment. In prior impeachment cases, legal experts have been called to offer their views on such articles the House had already formulated. That is, the experts were asked to determine whether the allegations squared with the Framers’ conception of impeachable offenses, namely, “treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Those impeachment cases, however, involved clear allegations of law-breaking. With Trump, the difficulty Democrats have had from the start is the lack of a clear law violation. . .

It certainly helps to have a prosecutable crime to impeach a president. Politically speaking, it is very difficult to convince the American people of the necessity of removing a president from power without proving that he broke the law. But as a matter of constitutional law, such proof isn’t required. (Read more from “Democrats’ Impeachment Argument Again Comes up Short” HERE)

Wives Reveal Disgusting Conditions of Military Housing

Housing companies subject military families to serious illness by purposefully covering up unsanitary housing conditions, military wives say.

Military Matters Foundation founders JoAnne Mantz and Janna Driver provided the Daily Caller News Foundation with exclusive polling and photographs and said that military families are subjected to mold-ridden homes that seriously impact the health of both their families and their husbands who serve in the Armed Forces. Mantz’s husband retired from the U.S. Navy Sunday, while Driver’s husband retired from the U.S. Air Force in March. . .

Driver and Mantz worked with Hayward Score, a group devoted to helping resolve unsanitary conditions in military housing, to publish a housing survey in November. The survey, conducted in 2018 and 2019, focused on the home and medical issues of families living in military housing. . .

The group polled 984 military respondents on over 75 bases nationwide. The polling found 68% of respondents reported odors, 62% reported leaks, 37% reported severe leaks and 33% reported poor maintenance. Seventy-eight percent reported excess dust, 41% reported water stains and visible mold, and 56% reported roaches or mice.

Seventy-five percent of respondents who reported symptoms of illness said that these symptoms stopped when they left the house, indicating, according to Hayward, that the house “is the problem.” These symptoms include increased allergies, sinus congestion, coughing, frequent headaches, feeling sick, sleep disturbance, extreme fatigue, mood changes, trouble sleeping, foggy thinking, feeling depressed, short-term memory, vertigo and heart palpitations. Defiant Devin Nunes Fires Back at Schiff Phone Record Subpoena (VIDEO)

Republican California Rep. Devin Nunes fired back at Democratic California Rep. Adam Schiff during Wednesday night’s edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” calling his phone record subpoena a violation of his “civil rights.”

Schiff, the House Intelligence Committee chairman, released his committee’s impeachment inquiry report Tuesday, which revealed the acquisition of several personal phone records of conversations involving Nunes, investigative reporter John Solomon, and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani.

“He has subpoena power,” Nunes told Fox News host Tucker Carlson when asked how it happened. “So when the Democrats gained control, they have subpoena power. We knew he had issued – he notified us that he had subpoenaed some phone numbers. We didn’t know who those numbers were. And, of course, because it’s … classified, we can’t talk about it.” . . .

“And because I had talked to Rudy Giuliani and somehow that’s now a crime, and then I make it into his report,” said Nunes. “We spent the last three years, if any Republican ever talked to any Russian at any time, even if you are Russian-American, that was a no-no. Then we were criticized. We switched to Ukraine. If you talk to any Ukrainian that’s now a crime. Now I can’t even talk to Rudy Giuliani, who I have known for 10 years. That’s supposedly a crime. And I’m in his report for supposedly doing something wrong. So this is — this is wrong. And what is happening, whatever is happening in this town is wrong and look, I’m going to look at whatever legal remedies I have. Because I actually have some civil rights here too.”

WATCH: Joe Biden Will Refuse If Called to Testify in Impeachment Trial

Presidential frontrunner Joe Biden told reporters that he would refuse to testify voluntarily if the Senate called him to do so in their impeachment hearings. . .

“If there’s a Senate impeachment trial, they might want to call you as a witness is that something where you would appear voluntarily?” asked Doocy.

“No I’m not going to let them take their eye off the ball,” responded Biden. . .

Democrats have begun an impeachment inquiry based on the accusation that the president withheld military aid from Ukraine in order to pressure them to investigate Joe Biden’s influence in their country.

Allies of the president have defended him by saying that there was enough evidence to seek an investigation into decisions Biden made as vice president that could have benefited his son, then a consultant at a Ukrainian energy company.

New Numbers Reveal How Many AR-15s Americans Own

AR-15s and other similar rifles may remain a key target of anti-gun politicians and activists, but new firearms industry production numbers indicate that they’re still incredibly popular among American gun owners.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation — the trade association for the firearms industry — put out a numbers report on Wednesday indicating that 17.74 million modern sporting rifles are currently privately owned in the United States. Furthermore, the report found that a 54 percent majority of all rifles produced in 2017 were modern sporting rifles. . .

Recently, MSRs have become a focal point of the American gun control debate. They’re often described as “assault weapons” by anti-gun politicians and are the subject of proposed bans, restrictions and confiscation, such as the “mandatory buyback” policy previously proposed by former 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke earlier this year. . .

But even with almost 18 million in private ownership, MSRs comprise just a small fraction of Americans’ privately-owned hardware. Wednesday’s figures also estimated that the total number of privately-owned American firearms between the years 1986 and 2018 was 422.9 million guns. That estimate is based on information from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) as well as preliminary manufacturing and exportation numbers. On the subject of ammunition, NSSF says that over 8 billion rounds “of all calibers and gauges” were produced for the U.S. market in 2018. Man Shot to Death by Neighbor Had Begged Police Help (VIDEO)

A Rocky Top, Tennessee man was shot to death by his neighbor last month, just days after making an impassioned plea on social media for local police to step in and “do something” before the suspect “does something he will regret.”

Davey Roach, 43, was killed the morning of Nov. 23, after arguing with his neighbor, George Patterson. Patterson, 67, admitted to firing his gun, but told police he was aiming for the ground near Roach’s feet, WVLT-TV reported.

Roach and Patterson had been in an ongoing property line dispute over a stretch of grass the two men took turns mowing, according to Roach’s fiancé, Felicia Adkins. Adkins told The Knoxville News Sentinel that Patterson warned Roach roughly a year ago to stay off his property, “and it escalated from there.”

“Every time that we were outside, it was an argument,” Adkins told the outlet. “At first, it was just screaming and yelling, then it turned to threatening, ‘I’m going to kill you.’ He hated him, just calling him all kinds of names and threatening to kill me, threatening to kill his mom, threatening to kill all of us.”

DOJ Indicts Mueller Witness over Illegal Scheme to Funnel Millions to Hillary’s Campaign

That headline is about as bad as this story gets for Hillary Clinton, as additional emerging details aren’t quite as damning as one might suspect — and there’s a Trump tie-in, as well. We’ll begin with the basics. A California CEO and several others have been charged in a scheme to funnel millions in illegal campaign donations to Hillary Clinton via a Lebanese-American businessman, who showered Clinton with cash until Trump won the election, then scrambled to curry favor with the incoming administration with a major contribution to the president-elect’s (shady) inaugural fund. There’s no evidence of wrongdoing on the part of Clinton or Trump connected to this matter. From Tuesday’s Justice Department press release:

Earlier today, an indictment was unsealed against the CEO of an online payment processing company, and seven others, charging them with conspiring to make and conceal conduit and excessive campaign contributions, and related offenses, during the U.S. presidential election in 2016 and thereafter. A federal grand jury in the District of Columbia indicted Ahmad “Andy” Khawaja, 48, of Los Angeles, California, on Nov. 7, 2019, along with George Nader, Roy Boulos, Rudy Dekermenjian, Mohammad “Moe” Diab, Rani El-Saadi, Stevan Hill and Thayne Whipple…According to the indictment, from March 2016 through January 2017, Khawaja conspired with Nader to conceal the source of more than $3.5 million in campaign contributions, directed to political committees associated with a candidate for President of the United States in the 2016 election. By design, these contributions appeared to be in the names of Khawaja, his wife, and his company. In reality, they allegedly were funded by Nader. Khawaja and Nader allegedly made these contributions in an effort to gain influence with high-level political figures, including the candidate. As Khawaja and Nader arranged these payments, Nader allegedly reported to an official from a foreign government about his efforts to gain influence.

How do we know the candidate in question was Hillary Clinton?

Democratic Law Professor: It Is Wrong to Impeach Trump Just Because You’re All Mad (VIDEO)

Speaking during a House Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday morning, George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley called out Democrats and fellow members of the panel for moving forward with impeachment because “everyone is mad.”

“I get it. You’re mad. The president’s mad. My Republican friends are mad. My Democratic friends are mad. My wife is mad. My kids are mad. Even my dog seems mad and Luna is a golden-doodle and they don’t get mad. So, we’re all mad. Where has it taken us? Will a slipshod impeachment make us less mad or will it only give an invitation for the madness to follow in every future administration? That is why this is wrong…it’s wrong because this is not how you impeach an American president,” Turley argued, adding that the evidence Democrats are using is severely lacking, the process is rushed and that a number of witnesses haven’t been subpoenaed.

“I am concerned about lowering impeachment standards to fit a paucity of evidence and an abundance of anger. If the House proceeds solely on the Ukrainian allegations, this impeachment would stand out among modern impeachments as the shortest proceeding, with the thinnest evidentiary record, and the narrowest grounds ever used to impeach a president. That does not bode well for future presidents who are working in a country often sharply and, at times, bitterly divided,” he said.

Lefties Become Hysterical Once They Realize the December Democratic Debate Will Be All White People; Kamala Harris Drops Out of 2020

By Townhall. After Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) announced that she was suspending her 2020 presidential campaign, lefties quickly took to Twitter to voice their outrage over the remainder of the Democrats’ top tier contenders. Their issue: those who will be on the December Democratic debate stage are all white.

The reason Harris’ campaign flopped is because she continually tried to go whichever way the wind blowed. She continually changed her positions while trying to pretend to be a “progressive prosecutor.” Even the leftist mainstream media outlets called her out for her record while she was the District Attorney in San Francisco. Kamala Harris Zings Trump After He Mocks Her 2020 Race Exit: ‘I’ll See You at Your Trial’

By Fox News. Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., swiped President Trump on Tuesday after he mocked her sudden exit from the 2020 campaign trail.

Trump, who in the past has expressed glee when would-be Democratic opponents exit the 2020 race, had some fun at Harris’ expense on Tuesday evening after his former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, tweeted about Harris leaving the race.

“Too bad. We will miss you Kamala Harris!” Trump tweeted.

New Suit Claims Epstein Abuse in 1985, Says He and Pals Raped 13-Year-Old Girl; Why Is Bill Clinton Escaping Scrutiny in Jeffrey Epstein Case?

By Fox News. Nine more women have come forward with claims that they were sexually abused by convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, with one accuser saying she was just 13 when the abuse began.

The lawsuit, filed in New York state court in Manhattan on Tuesday, alleges incidents of sexual abuse between 1985 and 2007. The accusers are listed as Jane Doe I through Jane Doe IX and their claim is against Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn, the executors of Epstein’s estate, which is valued at $577 million. . .

Jordan Merson, a lawyer for the nine women, told Fox News that he was open to a fund “that has the goal in mind of asset allocation and not asset preservation … If the idea is, ‘We are going to give each of these women a little bit of money and make sure that it’s OK,’ that is unacceptable. All of my clients have been severely injured. Horrible mental issues that they live with on a daily basis as a result of what this man did to them.” . . .

Seven of the accusers claim that “Epstein and his associates sexually assaulted, abused and battered” them. Six say they were raped, and two of those say the abuse happened “repeatedly.”

The earliest allegation against Epstein, made by Jane Doe II, dates from 1985 when she was 23 years old. Another allegation, made by Jane Doe I, dates from 1990 when she was 14 years old. The other seven accusers say their abuse by Epstein started between 2000 and 2007. Two of those accusers, Jane Doe III and Jane Doe IV, were 13 and 15 years old, respectively, when they met Epstein. The other five were between 19 and 22 years old. (Read more from “New Suit Claims Epstein Abuse in 1985, Says He and Pals Raped 13-Year-Old Girl” HERE)

Investigative Journalist: Why Is Bill Clinton Escaping Scrutiny in Jeffrey Epstein Case?

By Fox News. Following a bombshell interview in which Virginia Roberts Giuffre claimed she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and forced to have sex with Prince Andrew, an investigative reporter is asking why former President Bill Clinton is not being discussed.

On “The Story,” New York Post writer Maureen Callahan claimed it is odd that Andrew is most notable person to become embroiled in the alleged scandal so far.

“It seems very curious that so far the highest-profile man to be potentially taken down by this — because we don’t know what’s going to happen yet — though this does not look good for Andrew … is, in essence, a dim, useless member of an aging monarchy,” Callahan told host Martha MacCallum. . .

“We know, for example, that Bill Clinton was on planes owned by Jeffrey Epstein, was on Jeffrey Epstein’s private island multiple times,” Callahan added. “I cannot believe we’re not talking about him.”

Last month, a woman with accusations against the convicted pedophile described a disturbing encounter with him aboard his jet. (Read more from “Investigative Journalist: Why Is Bill Clinton Escaping Scrutiny in Jeffrey Epstein Case?” HERE)
