Today’s Anchorage Event Looks at New Strategy to End Abortion in Alaska

The prolife movement has met with success on all fronts: crisis pregnancy centers, public opinion, public witness, civil disobedience, sidewalk counseling, marches, picketing, Forty Days for Life. But politically it is still stuck in neutral.

True, a supreme court reversal is at long last quite possible, but like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, prolifers have had the “Ruby Slippers” to get home all along. A basic misunderstanding of the Constitution by the prolife movement and the proper roles of the courts will be discussed at Gallo’s in Anchorage on Thursday, January 9, sponsored by the St. Catherine of Siena chapter of Catholics United for the Faith. Cocktails at 6:30, dinner at 7:00. Guest Speaker is KSRM Radio 92 in Kenai talk-show host Bob Bird.

A retired public school teacher of 41 years lauded by the state legislature, former President of Alaska Right to Life, twice a candidate for the US Senate, Bird was endorsed by Ron Paul in 2008. He will explain the proper way to end the outrage of Roe v. Wade.

A Power Point presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.
