Israel Demands Apology From CNN Anchor for Holocaust Comparison

Israel demanded an apology from CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour on Sunday for her comments comparing the Trump presidency to Kristallnacht, a violent pogrom perpetrated against Jews in Nazi Germany that killed dozens and left synagogues and Jewish-owned businesses destroyed .

“Using the memory of the Holocaust for cheap headlines or a political agenda is concerning and distorts the historical and moral truth,” Diaspora Affairs minister Omer Yankelevich said, according to the Jerusalem Post. She added that CNN “should be a partner in the global effort to fight anti-Semitism and not fuel the fire.” . . .

Following the comments, prominent American and Israeli commentators slammed Amanpour for the analogy. White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany called the comparison “despicable,” demanding CNN “apologize for trivializing the Holocaust and the tragic genocide of millions of Jews.”

“They must also apologize for slandering the most pro-Israel President in history,” she added. (Read more from “Israel Demands Apology From CNN Anchor for Holocaust Comparison” HERE)

Biden COVID Advisor: Those Older Than 75 Should Get Vaccines Last

One of Joe Biden’s early actions after corporate media claimed he was president-elect was to name members of a task force to recommend actions about COVID-19. Most of the names were neither famous nor infamous, but for one: Ezekiel “Zeke” Emanuel, whose fame comes from family connections (he’s the brother of former Obama chief-of-staff and former Chicago mayor, Rahm Emanuel) and the infamy gained from a 2014 Atlantic article, “Why I Hope to Die at 75.” . . .

In a Science article in September, in which Emanuel argued for distributing vaccine doses overseas out of “fairness” and argued against “vaccine nationalism” in which countries kept “too much” of the vaccine for themselves, he wrote, “we propose using Standard Expected Years of Life Lost (SEYLL) averted per dose of vaccine as the metric for premature death.”

This method renders the lives of people who have already lived beyond their country’s life expectancy as valueless. In the CDC’s definition, the cut-off is even sooner: only deaths occurring before age 75 are deemed “premature” and counted towards “years of potential life lost.” Yes, the very vaccine priority model Emanuel proposes would exclude those over age 75 from receiving a COVID vaccine, at least until availability is widespread and no shortages exist, globally.

Everyone’s talking about the coming depletion of the Social Security Trust Fund, and whether that will occur in 2035, as forecast before the pandemic, or much sooner. But the Medicare Part A Trust Fund (that’s the hospitalization benefits piece) is expected to be depleted in 2024, according to CBO calculations reflecting the impact of the COVID response.

If you’re doing the math, that’s within Biden’s term in office. And this is not something that can be waved away — it will be necessary for Congress to pass legislation authorizing new money to be spent or costs to be cut, or the federal government will need to run a bill backlog. This means that Emanuel’s status in the Biden administration, and his potential influence, matters more than just his voice in vaccine distribution. Obama Didn’t Want To Campaign for Joe Biden

Former President Barack Obama was adamant that he wouldn’t have returned to the 2020 campaign trail if he didn’t have to.

“It is not my preference to be out there,” Obama told CBS in an interview that aired Sunday.

“We were in a circumstance in this election in which certain norms, certain institutional boundaries that are so extraordinarily important, had been breached,” he added. “It was important for me as somebody who has served in that office to simply let people know this is not normal.”

Obama created problems for President-elect Joe Biden this cycle by not endorsing his two-term vice president early during the primary. Instead, Obama insisted through spokespeople that he wanted to remain neutral throughout the process. (Read more from “Obama Didn’t Want To Campaign for Joe Biden” HERE)

Source: Durham Investigation Closing Down Without Indictments, Scared of Biden Blowback

For well over a year now, the Durham investigation has been pumped up as the coming justice for a lot of bad characters involved in the government’s Trump-Russia travesty. Any hope that figures like John Brennan, James Comey, and Andrew McCabe would pay a price for their illegal FISA warrants, lying, and targeting of Donald Trump rested on Durham doing his job. “Trust the plan” became a mantra among some on the right, with the idea being that the hammer was always just around the corner.

Unfortunately, it appears Durham successfully ran out the clock. What many have suspected for a long time appears to be true, namely that no one will be held accountable for the corruption of the Trump-Russia investigation. The Federalist, who has covered this saga better than any other news outlet out there, is now reporting that Durham is looking to close up shop, fearing that an incoming Biden administration will retaliate. . .

Worse, it appears that none of this is happening because Durham didn’t find anything. According to Sean Davis, he has enough to file multiple charges but appears to just be sitting on the evidence instead.

Michigan House Republicans Plan To Impeach Governor

Several Republican members of the Michigan House of Representatives are proposing articles of impeachment against Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D).

State Rep. Matt Maddock (R) announced via Parler that he is joining with Reps. Daire Rendon (R), Beau LaFave (R), Ryan Berman (R), and Shane Hernandez (R) on the effort. He said incoming legislators Ken Borton (R) and Steve Carra (R) are supportive, as well. . .

In Michigan, the House of Representatives initiates impeachment and a majority vote is required. In the next legislative session, Republicans will have a 58-52 majority, according to Mlive.

Three representatives would be appointed to prosecute the impeachment case in the Senate. Two-thirds of senators must vote to convict the governor in order for her to be removed. Republicans hold a 22-16 majority in that chamber, Ballotpedia reported, so at least three Democrats would need to vote affirmatively for removal.

On Sunday, Whitmer issued a string of new coronavirus-related orders and dubbed the actions a three-week “pause.”

Ex-Clinton Aide Details the ‘Stealthy Road’ To a Trump Victory That’s Being Overlooked

. . .When former aides to Bill Clinton are saying there’s a chance, it’s not tinfoil hat stuff, which is how the liberal media has treated this. Graham Allison, who served as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Policy and Plans under that administration, recently wrote in The National Interest about one path that’s being ignored. He called it a “stealthy road,” and one that’s being overlooked. We have to go back to the 1876 election. Allison noted that state legislatures have the authority to declare that the popular vote was corrupted, thereby, permitting them to send a competing set of electors. I’ll let him explain the rest [emphasis mine]:

I believe the current consensus is missing the fact that Trump has a second, viable stealthy road to victory. I’m reluctantly betting that the debate about who won will continue until at least January 6 when slates of electoral college members are opened in Washington, and most likely beyond that as whatever is decided then is appealed by the loser to the Supreme Court. My conclusion reflects the analysis of my colleague in the Applied History Network at the Belfer Center which is below.

As he notes, this stealthy road follows in the footsteps of a number of previous contested American elections, especially the 1876 election that pitted Tilden v. Hayes. Then as now, each state must decide on a group of electors to meet with a joint session of Congress on January 6 where the winner of the presidential election is declared. The normal practice in a state where Biden won the popular-vote total would be for state election officials to certify the results and send a slate of electors to Congress. But state legislatures have the constitutional authority to conclude that the popular vote has been corrupted and thus send a competing slate of electors on behalf of their state. The 12th Amendment to the Constitution specifies that the “President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted.” That means that in the case of disputes about competing electoral slates, the President of the Senate—Vice President Pence—would appear to have the ultimate authority to decide which to accept and which to reject. Pence would choose Trump. Democrats would appeal to the Supreme Court.

Alternatively, if at that point, no candidate has the required 270 electoral votes, the 12th Amendment stipulates, “the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote.” [GOP has the majority there]

Pollster: It’s Curious How Biden Underperformed Hillary Clinton in Every City…Except These Four.

. . .Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was blunter last Sunday, when he said, “I think he would have to do a lot to convince Republicans that this is anything except a left-wing power grab, financed by people like George Soros, deeply laid in at the local level, and, frankly, I think that it is a corrupt, stolen election.” He was commenting on Biden’s call for unity. Yet, he also gave a hat-tip to someone we have written about here: Democracy Institute’s Patrick Basham.

“We believe these people are thieves, we believe the big city machines are corrupt,” the former House Speaker said. “Interestingly Patrick Basham, who’s the most accurate pollster, he’s British, wrote in a British newspaper…that this clearly was a stolen election, that it is impossible to imagine that Biden outran Obama in some of these states.” . . .

“If you count the ballot fraud, most pollsters clearly failed. If you don’t include the fraudulent ballots, most pollsters failed on a spectacular scale,” wrote Basham. Yet, here’s where things get fishy in the 2020 race which he mentions at the end of his column. He cites Richard Baris of Big Data Poll who noted something funny about Biden’s numbers in the cities, how it lagged behind Clinton’s numbers, but shot off to the moon in these four cities. Just take a look at the states in which these cities are located as well:

How curious that, as Baris notes, “Trump won the largest non-white vote share for a Republican presidential candidate in 60 years. Biden underperformed Hillary Clinton in every major metro area around the country, save for Milwaukee, Detroit, Atlanta and Philadelphia.”

Robert Barnes, the foremost election analyst, observes in these “big cities in swing states run by Democrats…the vote even exceeded the number of registered voters.”

Plaintiffs Drop Federal Lawsuit That Sought To Toss Some 800,000 Ballots

A federal lawsuit filed in Wisconsin that called into question the integrity of this year’s election has been dropped as the Trump campaign and other parties continue to pursue legal action in several other states.

The three plaintiffs, all Wisconsin voters, voluntarily withdrew the lawsuit on Monday. The legal action had been filed on Thursday in the United States District Court in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and argued that the absentee voting process in three counties, including the state’s two largest, included “illegal votes” that should invalidate the presidential election results. If the lawsuit had been successful, it would have delivered the Badger State’s 10 Electoral College votes to President Trump instead of President-elect Joe Biden, who won the state by about 20,000 votes.

It was not immediately clear why the plaintiffs dropped the litigation. When contacted by the Washington Examiner, one of the plaintiffs’ lawyers declined to comment, citing attorney-client privilege. The motion to dismiss came just before a status conference was scheduled to take place on Monday.

The lawsuit had targeted Milwaukee, Dane, and Menominee counties. Part of the lawsuit centered around “indefinitely confined voters,” who are citizens that Wisconsin law allows to vote absentee without showing photo identification. The law was designed to allow voters to self-certify as such if they are confined to their residences due to age, disability, or physical ailment. WATCH: Antifa Invades Million MAGA March Carrying ‘Punch a MAGA in the Face’ Banner

The Million MAGA March/Stop the Steal rally in D.C. is well underway and there are thousands and thousands of people there, chanting, carrying signs, peacefully marching, and expressing their voices under the First Amendment.

There’s nothing Antifa hates more than freedom, so naturally they showed up to try to stop it. But they probably weren’t expecting to be so completely ineffective and look so completely stupid.

They have a tough talk banner saying “punch a MAGA in the face” while they hide behind the police, who they want to defund. So it’s basically the perfect leftwing protest.

Biden Taps Reparations Advocate for Treasury Transition

A major reparations advocate has a seat on Joe Biden’s transition team.

Mehrsa Baradaran, a professor at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, is helping Biden prepare to “hit the ground running on Day One” as a member of his Department of the Treasury agency review team. Baradaran is an outspoken advocate of reparations for black Americans, both as a means of correcting “white supremacy” and closing the racial wealth gap.

Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) dodged questions about reparations throughout the 2020 cycle. Baradaran took note of their refusal to stake out a firm stance on the issue. “Dear Kamala, Reparations or go home,” she wrote in June 2019. “Biden just dodged that reparations question like a much nimbler and younger man,” she said in December 2019, referencing a Democratic primary debate.

In her 2017 book The Color of Money: Black Banks and the Racial Wealth Gap, Baradaran argues that closing the racial wealth gap requires acknowledging past wrongs and providing compensation for damages. “A reparations program could take many forms from simple cash payments or baby bonds to more complex schemes such as subsidized college tuition, basic income, housing vouchers, or subsidized mortgage credit,” she writes. Baradaran’s book inspired Netflix to donate $100 million to organizations that “support Black communities.” (Read more from “Biden Taps Reparations Advocate for Treasury Transition” HERE)
