DOJ Investigating Alleged Attempt to Bribe White House for ‘Presidential Pardon’

By Daily Wire. The Department of Justice is investigating a potential bribery scheme that allegedly sought to funnel money in the form of a “political contribution” in exchange for a “presidential pardon or reprieve of sentence.” . . .

The court documents state that “over fifty digital media devices, including iPhones, iPads, laptops, thumb drives, and computer and external hard drives” were seized that allegedly contained evidence of “criminal activity,” specifically a “secret lobbying scheme” in which unnamed individuals acted as lobbyists to senior White House officials without registering as lobbyists, in accordance with U.S. law, to secure “a pardon or reprieve of sentence.” (Read more from “DOJ Investigating Alleged Attempt to Bribe White House for ‘Presidential Pardon’” HERE)

Justice Department Investigating Potential Presidential Pardon Bribery Scheme, Court Records Reveal

By CNN. . .The disclosure is in 20 pages of partially redacted documents made public by the DC District Court on Tuesday afternoon. The records show Chief Judge Beryl Howell’s review in August of a request from prosecutors to access documents obtained in a search as part of a bribery-for-pardon investigation.

The filings don’t reveal a timeline of the alleged scheme, or any names of people potentially involved, except that communications between people including at least one lawyer were seized from an office that was raided sometime before the end of this summer. . .

Prosecutors told the court they wanted permission to the filter team’s holdings. The prosecutors believed the devices revealed emails that showed allegedly criminal activity, including a “secret lobbying scheme” and a bribery conspiracy that offered “a substantial political contribution in exchange for a presidential pardon or reprieve of sentence” for a convicted defendant whose name is redacted, according to the redacted documents. Feds Bracing for Anticipated Surge of Fake COVID Vaccines

The U.S. government has launched a major effort to block the importation and sale of illegitimate coronavirus vaccines officials anticipate will flood the black market and dark web as people become desperate for the limited number of real vaccines.

“Based on current trends and through actionable intelligence, special agents anticipate that criminal organizations will continue to adapt and capitalize on public demand for access to vaccines and treatments as they are developed and approved,” the Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations office said in an announcement this week. “With that, the agency expects a surge in illicit attempts to introduce counterfeit versions of approved vaccines into U.S. and global marketplaces.”

AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Pfizer have each announced largely successful results from vaccine tests but have yet to clear the U.S. Food and Drug Administration before millions of doses can go out. More than 20 million people in the United States are expected to be able to be vaccinated by Jan. 1, while more than 300 million others will have to wait until the spring when vaccines are more widely available.

Healthcare workers, essential employees, the elderly, and adults with preexisting conditions will have priority over the general public, which could prompt people to turn to online search results for the shots. Consumers who are not a high priority according to the government’s criteria could turn to the internet in search of the vaccine, just as millions did earlier this year when stores ran out of face masks, cleaning supplies, and toilet paper. But injecting a vaccine that has not been approved by the FDA could lead to serious health implications for unsuspecting consumers and wrongly affect how the public views vaccine results. Nurse Suspended for Shunning Masks, Letting Her Children Have Play Dates

A hospital in Salem, Oregon, suspended one of its nurses after people complained about a video she had posted online in which she claimed to still travel, forgo masks, and allow her children to play with others.

Salem Health posted a message on its Facebook page on Saturday announcing that it had placed the nurse on leave. The hospital took action against the nurse after a number of people complained that she was violating social distancing guidelines. The hospital’s Saturday post said:

Yesterday, a nurse employed with Salem Health posted a video on social media which displayed cavalier disregard for the seriousness of this pandemic and her indifference towards physical distancing and masking outside of work. This video has prompted an outcry from concerned community members. We want to thank those of you who brought this to our attention and assure you that we are taking this very seriously. This individual does not speak for Salem Health and has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

We also want to assure you that this one careless statement does not reflect the position of Salem Health or the hardworking and dedicated caregivers who work here.

Salem Health believes we all need to do our part to protect the vulnerable and stop the rapid spread of COVID-19. This includes requiring staff, patients and visitors to follow guidance from the CDC and others about mask wearing and social distancing. The COVID pandemic is serious and requires a serious response. And at Salem Health we are very serious about our approach to COVID.

University Settles With Midwife Student After Threatening To Expel Her for Pro-Life Views

The University of Nottingham has settled with a midwifery student whom it tried to expel for her association with a campus pro-life group.

Julia Rynkiewicz got both an undisclosed payout and an apology 10 months after the university dropped its “fitness to practice” investigation, according to The Telegraph.

“Putting my life on hold because of an unjust investigation was really difficult, both mentally and emotionally,” she said. “The settlement demonstrates that the university’s treatment of me was wrong, and while I’m happy to move on, I hope this means that no other student will have to experience what I have.”

The student is now a year behind graduating because of the baseless proceeding, which also included a ban on completing her hospital placement, the newspaper reported in January when she first threatened legal action. (It’s not clear whether she actually filed suit: The Telegraph said Rynkiewicz could “carry her case through to the ombudsman and then on to court” if her complaint wasn’t remedied.) Students Organize ‘Queeristan’ Event Series To Support LGBT Muslims

Muslim students at Duke University have organized a series of events to promote acceptance of homosexuality and other LGBTQ-related issues and to create a community for gay Muslims.

The event series, called Queeristan, aims to connect LGBTQ Muslims to one another at the private university in North Carolina. It is a collaboration of the school’s Center for Muslim Life and the student publication Juhood Magazine.

“As far as the CML receiving criticism here and there, the answer is yes,” Joshua Salaam, the center’s director, told The College Fix via email. The Fix had asked if the Muslim community had criticized the promotion of LGBTQ issues.

“We have a very diverse group of students on campus and they constantly engage us with their thoughts, opinions and concerns on many issues,” Salaam said. “I can only pray they continue that practice so our office can stay informed.”

He did not have data to share on the number of LGBTQ Muslims at Duke but referred The Fix to Nicholas Antonicci, the director of the school’s Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity. (Read more from “Students Organize ‘Queeristan’ Event Series To Support LGBT Muslims” HERE)

Postal Service Contractor Delivered 144,000 Ballots That ‘Disappeared’ (VIDEO)

New startling whistleblower claims casting doubt on the 2020 election include the disappearance of up to 288,000 mail-in ballots, the improper backdating of another 100,00 and the dumping of mail promoting President Trump while mail for Joe Biden was delivered.

The Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, which compiled the testimony, said a U.S. Postal Service contractor claims his trailer full of from 144,000 to 288,000 completed mail-in ballots disappeared after he delivered them from New York state to a Lancaster, Pennsylvania, depot, reported the Washington Examiner.

In Wisconsin, Nathan Pease said he was told by two separate postal workers on two separate occasions that the USPS was backdating more than 100,000 ballots received the morning of Nov. 4 so they would be counted.

In Traverse City, Michigan, Trump campaign mail was put in bins labeled “Undeliverable Bulk Business Mail” while the same type of mail for Joe Biden was ordered to be delivered on time.

Another whistleblower questioned the integrity of Dominion voting machines. Gregory Stenstrom of Pennsylvania said he witnessed a vendor of Dominion machines and local election officials download and update counting machines in violation of election system protocol. He said machine jump drives were comingled, rendering audits impossible without access to the machines. (Read more from “Postal Service Contractor Delivered 144,000 Ballots That ‘Disappeared'” HERE)

AG Barr: DOJ Has Not Uncovered Evidence of Widespread Voter Fraud; Barr Appoints John Durham as Special Counsel for ‘Russia Collusion’ Conspiracy Theory

By Breitbart. Attorney General William Barr said Tuesday the Justice Department has not uncovered evidence of widespread voter fraud that would change the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, according to an interview he gave to the Associated Press.

Barr reportedly told the AP that U.S. attorneys and FBI agents have been working to follow up on specific complaints and information they’ve received, but they have uncovered no evidence that would change the outcome of the election.

“To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election,” he said.

Last month, Barr issued a memo authorizing U.S. attorneys to pursue substantial allegations of voting irregularities before the certification of the results of the 2020 presidential election. . .

“There’s been one assertion that would be systemic fraud and that would be the claim that machines were programmed essentially to skew the election results. And the DHS and DOJ have looked into that, and so far, we haven’t seen anything to substantiate that,” he said. Barr Appoints John Durham as Special Counsel for ‘Russia Collusion’ Conspiracy Theory

By WND. If Joe Biden is inaugurated president, depending on the outcome of election fraud disputes, he will be in the office occupied most recently by President Donald Trump.

He also will face a special counsel investigation, as did President Trump. . .

It’s because Attorney General William Barr appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham a special counsel on Tuesday to investigate the origins of the FBI’s probe of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Special counsel Robert Mueller spent nearly years and more than $45 million investigating but wound up debunking many claims and concluding there was insufficient evidence.

The appointment means that the investigation of Barack Obama administration officials who launched the probe against Trump will continue even if Biden is installed in office. (Read more from “Barr Appoints John Durham as Special Counsel for ‘Russia Collusion’ Conspiracy Theory” HERE)
