WATCH: President Trump Announces Plan for ‘Smooth Transition of Power’

President Donald Trump condemned supporters who stormed Capitol Hill in stronger terms on Thursday, calling for renewed bonds of patriotism during the transition of power to President-elect Joe Biden.

“This moment calls for healing and reconciliation,” Trump said. “2020 has been a challenging time for our people.” . . .

“The demonstrators who infiltrated the capitol have defiled the seat of American democracy,” Trump said. “To those who engage in the acts of violence and destruction, you do not represent our country, and to those who broke the law, you will pay.”

“America is and must always be a nation of law and order,” Trump said, adding that although “emotions are high” after the election, “tempers must be cooled.” . . .

“To all of my wonderful supporters, I know that you are disappointed, but I also want you to know that our incredible journey is only just beginning,” he concluded.

Pelosi: Congress May Move Forward With Trump Impeachment

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said during a press conference Thursday that if Vice President Mike Pence does not move forward with efforts to remove President Donald Trump from office, then the House might impeach the 45th president.

Pelosi signaled her support for using the 25th Amendment and floated that the House may try to remove Trump from office via impeachment.

“If the vice president and the cabinet do not act, the congress may be prepared to move forward with impeachment,” Pelosi said.

“Yesterday, the president of the United States incited an armed insurrection against America,” she added.

“This is urgent; this is an emergency of the highest magnitude,” Pelosi said. The California Democrat called Trump “a very dangerous person who should not continue in office.” (Read more from “Pelosi: Congress May Move Forward With Trump Impeachment” HERE)

Senate and House Reject Pro-Trump Challenge to Arizona Election Results; GOP Senators Reverse Course, Drop Objection to Biden Electors

By The Blaze. Congress voted to reject a challenge to electoral results in Arizona in defiance of the chaos from the rioting by pro-Trump protesters who were trying to stop the vote that would secure Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States.

The debate over the slate of electors from Arizona was interrupted when Trump supporters stormed Congress and overran several buildings. Lawmakers were taken to secure areas while law enforcement officials tried to regain control.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) later excoriated the rioters and announced that she had consulted with Vice President Mike Pence, among others, to reconvene Congress and proceed with the vote.

Law enforcement officials, including the Capitol Police and the FBI, cleared out the Capitol building and lawmakers filed back in to continue their debate over the results of the presidential election.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) used his time to blame the president for the rioting. (Read more from “Senate and House Reject Pro-Trump Challenge to Arizona Election Results” HERE)

GOP Senators Reverse Course, Drop Objection to Biden Electors

By The Blaze. Republican Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler abandoned her plans to contest the certification of some Electoral College votes for President-Elect Joe Biden on Wednesday night, citing the “siege” on the Capitol building by supporters of President Donald Trump ahead of Congress’ count.

But Loeffler was not alone. The unrest, which included the Senate chamber being breached and left one person fatally shot, caused more than one Republican member to change their minds on challenging the results of the election. . .

Loeffler vowed Monday during a rally that Trump attended to contest the election results. She said in a separate statement that she would issue her own challenge outside of a coalition of 11 other Republicans organized by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. On Tuesday, Loeffler lost her re-election bid to Democratic challenger Rev. Raphael Warnock. . .

At least 14 Republicans went on the record ahead of Wednesday saying that they would contest the Electoral College results in Congress, but a number of them reversed course along with Loeffler. According to The Washington Post, Sens. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) and James Lankford (R-Okla.) also stood down after previously vowing to join the challenge.

So did steadfast Trump supporter Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), who declared on Twitter that she would “vote in support of certifying the electoral college results” after being a part of Cruz’s original coalition. By New York Post. Images and video from the Capitol show a trail of vandalism and destruction after the building was stormed by an angry mob of President Trump’s supporters on Wednesday.

One photo shows a shattered mirror inside House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office — the apparent result of vandals who broke into her suite of offices. Beneath the broken mirror is a picture of the Bush family.

Outside Pelosi’s offices a few demonstrators can be seen proudly wielding a piece of the lawmaker’s damaged nameplate, according to a photo posted to social media.

A rioter was seen carrying a podium out of the Capitol Rotunda before police cleared the building.

Countless windows throughout the Capitol building were smashed by a furious mob who forced lawmakers voting to certify the presidential election into lockdown, according to photos from the scene. Neo-Nazis Among Protesters Who Stormed U.S. Capitol

By New York Post. The throng of protesters who stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday included some neo-Nazis — including one man pictured wearing a “Camp Auschwitz” shirt.

The unidentified man was pictured among the hundreds of protesters who breached the building and forced Washington, DC, into a lockdown — sporting a shirt emblazoned with the name of one of the Nazi’s deadliest concentration camps during World War II.

The shirt included an image of a skull and crossbones, and had the inscription, “work brings freedom” — the German phrase, “arbeit macht frei,” that hung over the camp in German-occupied Poland, the Forward reported.

The image went viral on social media Wednesday, and sparked widespread outrage from Twitter users. (Read more from “Neo-Nazis Among Protesters Who Stormed U.S. Capitol” HERE)

3-Legged Dog Reunited With Owner 10 Months After Disappearing

A three-legged dog that went missing in early 2020 was reunited with her owner just in time to start the new year.

Last month, Dylan Summers, from Bourbon, Mo., had finally given up hope of seeing his beloved dog Athena again when he started looking online for a new dog to adopt.

Athena went missing in February last year while she was recovering from amputation surgery. She had to have her back leg and part of her tail removed after she was hit by a car and was still on post-op medication when she disappeared from Summers’ yard. . .

After 10 months of searching, he decided to start looking for another dog to adopt — and found Athena’s picture on the Gateway Pet Guardians website on Dec. 30. He quickly called the animal welfare agency.

We have quite the crazy story to start off the year!

In December, Gateway Pet Guardians took in a beautiful brindle…

Congressman: Democrats Know Constitution ‘Was Violated’ but ‘Don’t Care’

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, charged in a speech on the House floor Tuesday that Democrats knew the U.S. Constitution was violated in the 2020 election but simply don’t care.

A joint session of Congress is scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern today to certify the Electoral College votes from each state, and more than 100 House Republicans and a dozen senators plan to object.

“Democrats don’t care. They don’t want to look into it. They’d rather just belittle 60 million of our fellow citizens, call them names, say it’s a conspiracy, make fun of the very people we’re all supposed to represent,” he said.

Jordan promised that the challenges in Congress on Wednesday will present a “chance to hear the truth.”

“During the campaign, Vice President Biden would get 55 people at an event. President Trump got 55,000 at just one rally,” he said. “President Trump increased his vote with African-Americans, increased his vote with Hispanic Americans, won 19 of 20 bellwether counties, won Ohio by eight, Iowa by eight, Florida by three, got 11 million more votes than he got in 2016. And House Republicans won 27 of 27 tossup races. But somehow, somehow, Joe Biden, the guy who barely left his house, won the election? Officials Discussing 25th Amendment for Trump Following Violence at Capitol

By The Hill. Administration officials have started discussing the possibility of invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Officials have exchanged calls and messages about the extraordinary measure, which would require a majority of Cabinet officials plus Vice President Pence to declare to Congress that Trump is unable to fulfill his duties as president.

The discussions appear to be limited and it’s not clear whether they have reached the level of any Cabinet officials. It is not clear that officials would actually move forward with invoking the 25th Amendment, or that enough Cabinet members would even support it, particularly given Trump has only two weeks left in office. Franklin Graham: ‘God’s Judgment Is Coming. We Are in Trouble’

After the election of Joe Biden, who supports the killing of the unborn almost without limit, voters in Georgia apparently have given two Senate seats to Democrats who are part of a “demonic-driven abortion agenda,” says evangelist Franklin Graham.

Consequently, he warned Wednesday, “God’s judgment is coming.”

“The votes are in, but is the election over? I have no clue,” he wrote on Facebook. “I guess we just have to wait and see. But I do know that we need to pray for our nation.

“We are in trouble,” he said. “I believe God’s judgment is coming, for the sins of our nation are great and they are a stench in the nostrils of our Creator.”

He previously urged voters to reject the “demonic-driven abortion agenda” of the Democratic Party. (Read more from “Franklin Graham: ‘God’s Judgment Is Coming. We Are in Trouble'” HERE)
