With Children Fully Indoctrinated, Schools Have a New Target

It’s no longer a surprise to hear about public schools using their access to impressionable children to push divisive ideas about politics and race. But now it has escalated to a new level: using their taxpayer-funded budgets to shape the views of adults who live nearby.

For example, in Pennsylvania, Seria Chatters, Director of Equity and Inclusivity for the State College Area School District, wrote to parents to have them “learn more about race and racism… through the Parent and Community Book Club!” The book club would not be for cultivating a love of literature; rather, the choices were “White Fragility” by Robin DiAngelo, “Between the World and Me” by Ta-Nehisi Coates, “EveryDay AntiRacism,” edited by Mica Pollack, and “Race Talk and the Conspiracy of Silence” by Derald Wing Sue.

Even more surprising, it is often the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), a group that seemingly represents parents’ interests, that has instead taken to gathering adults so they can be influenced by the growing mass of school race or “equity” departments.

In Pinellas County, Florida, diversity honchos are subjecting parents of elementary school students to optional anti-racist training. The recurring event “Let’s Talk About Race: An educational series for North Shore families, friends, and teachers,” is “a training series hosted by the North Shore Elementary PTA about race and racism [and] how it affects almost every aspect of American life,” according to materials obtained by The Daily Wire. Federal Judge: ‘One-Party Control of the Press and Media Is a Threat To a Viable Democracy’

The control of major media by one political party is a dangerous threat to the country, a federal judge warned in a blistering dissent that called for courts to revisit libel laws that generally protect the press from being held liable for their reporting.

“It should be borne in mind that the first step taken by any potential authoritarian or dictatorial regime is to gain control of communications, particularly the delivery of news,” wrote Judge Laurence Silberman of the D.C. Circuit for the Court of Appeals. “It is fair to conclude, therefore, that one-party control of the press and media is a threat to a viable democracy.”

Silberman argued that it’s time for courts to revisit New York Times v. Sullivan, which has shaped press law in favor of media outlets for more than five decades. The New York Times and the Washington Post “are virtually Democratic Party broadsheets. And the news section of The Wall Street Journal leans in the same direction,” Judge Silberman wrote in his March 19 dissent.

He said that orientation also controls the Associated Press and most large papers in the country, including the Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, and Boston Globe. “Nearly all television—network and cable—is a Democratic Party trumpet,” Judge Silberman added.

Silicon Valley also has “enormous influence” over the distribution of news and it “similarly filters news delivery in ways favorable to the Democratic Party,” wrote Judge Silberman, highlighting the shocking suppression of stories about Joe Biden and his family when he was running for president. Trump Believes Kamala May Replace Joe as President

Former President Donald Trump on Monday said that he expected President Biden’s fall on the steps of Air Force One — and that he also believes Biden’s mental state may be diminished to the point that he may not understand what he’s signing, opening the door to Kamala Harris replacing him. . .

Trump told Newsmax host Greg Kelly that he believes that Biden may also be in mental decline and too confused to read the papers he signs containing presidential dictates.

“There’s something going on, it’s crazy. What’s happening is crazy and you wonder whether or not all of the things that he’s signing, whether or not he understands what he’s signing, because this is worse than Bernie Sanders at its worst point. We never thought this could happen. Bernie Sanders on steroids wouldn’t be signing what this guy is signing,” Trump said.

Trump frequently said during the presidential campaign last year that Biden, 78, is “gone” mentally and taunted that Democrats were interested in using the 25th Amendment to replace him shortly after the election with Harris.

‘Fake News’ N.Y. Times: Satire Site Babylon Bee ‘Trafficked In Misinformation’

The Babylon Bee is a satire site that has poked fun at conservatives and evangelicals over the years, but the New York Times isn’t laughing about the Bee’s regular use of ironic humor to illuminate the ideas and policies of the political left.

The Times published a story on the inability of Facebook’s “fake news” algorithms to distinguish satire from regular news stories, noted the Media Research Center’s Newsbuster’s site.

The Times headline, “For Political Cartoonists, the Irony Was That Facebook Didn’t Recognize Irony,” indicated the paper finally was defending the Bee after “ham-handed censorship” by Facebook, Newsbusters said. . .

But Times technology reporter Mike Isaac, Newsbusters said, “uncorked another Times attack on the satire site, again ludicrously attacking it as ‘misinformation,’ an angle the paper would never consider with the leftist satire of The Onion.”

Colorado Is One of Few U.S. States with Universal Background Checks for Gun Purchases

Colorado is one of the few states in the Union that has the Democrats’ highly desired universal background check gun controls.

Gabby Giffords’ gun control group describes Colorado’s background check gun control as “universal background checks,” which means private sales require the same background check as a retail sale.

Moreover, firearm dealers “may charge a fee of up to $10 for conducting a background check” on a private sale.

Colorado adopted universal background checks in 2013, just months after the heinous attack on Sandy Hook Elementary School. . .

Thousands Take Action Opposing COVID Vaccines Developed With Fetal Cells

Thousands of Catholics, including some leaders of prominent organizations, have signed a document that opposes COVID vaccines developed using fetal cells.

Judie Brown, president of the American Life League, highlighted “a call to arms for Catholics and all men and women of good will.”

The issue is that while COVID vaccines approved for emergency use don’t contain cells of aborted infants, some were developed using such cells.

The document, “State of Conscience To Awaken Conscience,” was produced by a professor, Catherine Pakaluk, to give Catholics “a voice in resisting the so-called consensus from Catholic leaders who have jumped on the COVID-19 vaccine train.” . . .

Brown said: “In the age of Biden and the recent confirmation of avid pro-abortion politician Xavier Becerra, it is certainly appropriate to ask whether or not Americans will continue to enjoy freedom of conscience. We already had concerns when the Biden administration offered its support of the radical Equality Act, which is set to cancel freedoms that we have always taken for granted, including freedom of religion and freedom of conscience. Republicans Drawing New Battle Lines in Heated Defense Budget Fight

House Republicans are pushing hard for a large defense budget in the face of growing military threats from China.

Members of the House Armed Services Committee said a reduction or stagnation in the country’s defense spending would play into Beijing’s hands. China continues to catch up to the United States in key areas of military strength, such as naval power, high-tech weapons, and infrastructure, as well as its nuclear weapons stockpile. Early reports indicate President Joe Biden’s first Pentagon budget could bottom out at around $696 billion, below the $722 billion recommendation from the Trump administration for the 2022 fiscal year.

Rep. Don Bacon (R., Neb.) said failing to support a large defense budget would be “reckless” and threaten to undo years of progress.

“We spent four years digging out of a readiness and training hole and getting our modernization on track. By Daily Wire. Former President Donald Trump is reportedly preparing to launch his own social media platform in the next couple of months after hosting numerous meetings with companies at Mar-a-Lago.

The fact the president’s been off of social media for a while because his press releases, his statements have actually been getting almost more play than he ever did on Twitter before,” adviser Jason Miller claimed. “I’m not sure if that’s because the length of them are a bit longer. [We] even had one reporter say that she thought it was much more elegant, the way that the president was able to communicate his thoughts and very much looked more presidential in that longer form.”

“But I do think that we’re going to see President Trump returning to social media in probably about two or three months here with his own platform,” he continued. “And this is something that I think will be the the hottest ticket in social media. It’s going to completely redefine the game and everybody is going to be waiting and watching to see what exactly President Trump does. But it will be his own platform.”

Whistleblower Releases Photos of Biden’s Migrant Kids in Cages; Democratic Mayor BLASTS Biden for Ignoring Border Crisis

By Breitbart. James O’Keefe of Project Veritas released photographs Monday from inside a border facility in Texas where migrant children are being held — and taunted the White House as he did so, for denying the media access to such facilities for weeks. . .

In 2014, Breitbart News broke the story of children being held in Border Patrol facilities, which was the first report on the crisis of unaccompanied minors arriving at the southern border.

On Monday morning, Axios released the first photographs from the present wave, noting that the photographs came from Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX). That apparently prompted O’Keefe to release his own photographs and video footage, which he did on social media and at the Project Veritas website.

As he did so, O’Keefe called out White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki, who has repeatedly deflected questions from the media about when journalists would be allowed to visit the border facilities to see the conditions for themselves.

Last Thursday, Psaki continued to claim that “the White House and we all in the administration support finding a way to grant access to the media,” but declined to do so, even as she continued to defend Biden’s commitment to transparency.

Democratic Mayor Blasts Biden for Ignoring Border Crisis

By WND. The Democratic mayor of a southern border town says Democratic President Joe Biden is in denial over the magnitude of the immigration problem, amounting to a “slap in the face” to the people he serves.

“You have a breach on national security levels that have never before been seen in modern history and you’re not even batting an eye about it, you’re not even calling it a ‘crisis,’ you’re calling it a quote unquote challenge,” Mayor Bruno Lozano of Del Rio, Texas, told the New York Post on Sunday.

On Monday, Biden’s chief spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, refused once again to call the surge of thousands of unaccompanied minors a “crisis,” insisting it’s a “circumstance.”

Sen. Ted Cruz Rips Biden for Hypocrisy on Media Blackout of Border

By The Blaze. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is pressuring President Joe Biden to be more transparent with the media about the migrant crisis at the U.S. . .

In a letter to the president, Sen. Cruz said it was “outrageous and hypocritical” of Biden to bar reporters from access to the situation at the border.

“As part of our oversight duties as Senators, I and 14 of my colleagues will travel to the border this week to talk to the brave men and women on the ground who are working every today [sic] to stop this crisis and secure our border,” Cruz wrote.

“But it is not enough for members of the Senate to see what is happening — the American people must see. That is why I requested that members of the media be allowed to join us. But your administration clearly and emphatically refused to offer press access. This is outrageous and hypocritical.”

Trump: ‘Very Bad Hombres’ Crossing the Border

Former President Donald Trump strongly criticized President Joe Biden in an interview Monday for reopening the border by rolling back tough immigration policies and creating a new migrant crisis.

“They’ll be coming up by the millions,” Trump said about the flood of migrants crossing the border into the United States. The former president discussed the border crisis with Fox News host Lisa Boothe in a podcast interview released Monday.

Trump warned Americans the crisis would get far worse during the Biden administration, even though record numbers were already crossing the border.

“It’s nothing compared to what’s going to be in a couple of months,” he said. . .
