WATCH: Police Officer Fired After Shocking Video Of Alleged Force In Stop Of Biracial Army Officer

A Virginia police officer accused of pepper-spraying and pointing his gun at a biracial Army officer during a traffic stop in December of 2020 was fired hours after Gov. Ralph Northam called for an independent investigation into the case on Sunday.

Lt. Caron Nazario, who is black and Latino, was pepper-sprayed and knocked to the ground by Officer Joe Gutierrez, according to police body camera footage and lawsuit documents filed earlier this month. Nazario claims that Gutierrez and Officer Daniel Crocker violated his First Amendment and Fourth Amendment rights.

Northam called the encounter “disturbing” and requested that the Virginia State Police review the incident. Shortly after, the town of Windsor released a statement, acknowledging the incident and revealing Gutierrez’s termination from his position.

“Our Commonwealth has done important work on police reform, but we must keep working to ensure Virginians are safe during interactions with police, the enforcement of laws is fair and equitable, and people are held accountable,” Northam said in a statement.

The officers did not follow department policy, according to an investigation on use of force opened at the time. The statement said that disciplinary action was taken against Gutierrez as additional training requirements were implemented in January. Chilling Video: Christians Tear Down Fences Around Shut Down Church, Government Sends In Riot Police

Hundreds of Canadian Christians gathered on Sunday at the GraceLife Church in Edmonton, Alberta. Government officials shut down the church for allegedly violating public COVID-19 health orders. Authorities erected a chain-link fence to prevent the house of worship from reopening last week. On Sunday, worshippers tore down the barricade, but were quickly met by a large contingent of riot police.

Alberta Health Services physically closed the GraceLife Church, preventing access to the building. AHS said the church would remain closed until the GraceLife Church “can demonstrate the ability to comply with Alberta’s chief medical officer of health’s restrictions.” The Royal Canadian Mounted Police even closed off the access roads in front of the church to the public.

Approximately 400 people gathered outside the church on Sunday, according to the Edmonton Journal. The Christians were not able to get inside the church, so they sang hymns and listened to Bible readings outside the building.

Biden Lags Behind Trump Admin In Number Of Refugees Admitted To U.S.

Leftist organizations are increasingly upset that President Joe Biden is not welcoming enough refugees into the United States.

An analysis by the International Rescue Committee (IRC), an organization diametrically opposed to former President Donald Trump and his immigration policies, is reprimanding Biden for refusing to change the previous administration’s policies and admit more refugees from around the world.

As the Washington Post notes, Biden delayed signing a presidential determination that would ensure his promised hike of Trump’s 15,000 admitted refugees to the new 125,000 admitted refugees allowed in the U.S. per fiscal year. Instead, more than halfway through the current fiscal year, Biden has officially admitted just 2,050 refugees.

COVID Variant Eight Times More Likely to Infect Vaccinated People: Study

A study from Tel Aviv University found that a South African variant of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus affects people vaccinated with the Pfizer shot more than unvaccinated people.

The study, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, indicated that the B.1.351 variant of the virus was found eight times more in individuals who were vaccinated—or 5.4 percent against 0.7 percent—against those who were not vaccinated. Clalit Health Services, a top Israeli health-care provider, also helped in the study.

“We found a disproportionately higher rate of the South African variant among people vaccinated with a second dose, compared to the unvaccinated group,” said Adi Stern of Tel Aviv University. “This means that the South African variant is able, to some extent, to break through the vaccine’s protection.”

The study looked at 400 people who received at least one shot of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and had contracted the COVID-19 variant and compared them to the same number of people who were infected and unvaccinated. Moderna’s vaccine is also used in Israel, but it was not included in the study. . .

Biden Admin Offering Four Months Paid Leave to Federal Employees Who Take In Illegal Alien Children

The Biden administration has offered thousands of federal employees four months of paid leave if they’ll volunteer to take in migrant children who have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally.

The administration emailed the federal workers asking for help with Unaccompanied Alien Children, or UACs, according to The New York Times.

“The desperate plea landed this week in the email inboxes of employees in government agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and NASA: Will you consider taking a four-month paid leave from your job to help care for migrant children in government-run shelters packed with new arrivals at the border?” The Times reported.

“The request to much of the federal work force came from the Department of Health and Human Services, which is at the heart of a frantic effort by the Biden administration to keep up with a surge in young people crossing the southwestern border hoping to reunite with relatives already in the United States,” the paper wrote. Model Brain-Damaged After Eating Pretzel (VIDEO)

The family of a model who was left brain-damaged after having a serious allergic reaction to a peanut butter-infused pretzel was awarded nearly $30 million by a Las Vegas jury.

Chantel Giacalone’s family was awarded the $29.5 million Friday when a jury found that the responding ambulance service negligently treated her in 2013, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

“At least my daughter will be taken care of. I’m happy about that,” her father, Jack Giacalone, said after the verdict was read.

On Feb. 20, 2013, then-27-year-old Giacalone was modeling clothes at a fashion trade show at the Mandalay Bay South Convention Center when her friend bought her frozen yogurt and put a bite-size pretzel on top.

Twitter Protects BLM Founder by Censoring Tweet About Her $1.4 Million Home Purchase

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors purchased a $1.4 million home last month in Topanga Canyon, a secluded area of Los Angeles whose population is reportedly less than 2 percent black. The self-described Marxist is now facing criticism for the extravagant purchase, including from Jason Whitlock, an African-American sports journalist.

Whitlock tweeted about the controversy last week, writing, “Black Lives Matter Founder buys $1.4 million home in Topanga, which has a black population of 1.4%. She’s with her people!” He added a link to the story on the celebrity property blog The Dirt. Twitter quickly deleted his post and locked his account for “violating our rules against posting private information.”

The story about Khan-Cullors, however, is far from private, given that she is a public figure, the story had been reported by many news outlets, and the controversy has even sparked calls for an independent investigation into global BLM finances. Side Effects Of The Johnson & Johnson Shot That Caused Vaccine Site To Close Down

The 11 people who suffered adverse reactions to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine — prompting the closure of a vaccination site in Colorado — experienced symptoms including nausea and dizziness, according to health officials.

Two people within that group were also taken to the hospital for further observation, the Denver Post reported, citing a statement from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. . .

The health department stressed that the side effects experienced Wednesday were “consistent with what can be expected” with the one-shot dose. It said the decision to close the vaccination site at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City was made out of an abundance of caution. . .

Muslims Sue Facebook for Allowing Sites Exposing Jihad Violence

Robert Spencer, whose Jihad Watch website documents the violence inflicted by Muslim extremists, is warning that such information may be cleansed from the internet.

He explains it’s because of a new lawsuit against Facebook complaining of “anti-Muslim hate groups.”

And the problem, writes Spencer, is that an Islamic activist group with influence on Capitol Hill is describing as “hate” groups legitimate organizations such as Jihad Watch, the David Horowitz Freedom Center and the Center for Security Policy.

“Anyone who has been paying attention can see what is coming. This site and the others targeted will disappear from Facebook and ultimately from the Internet altogether, whether as a result of this suit or some other. This suit itself has a very good chance of succeeding, as Muslim Advocates is extremely powerful and influential,” Spencer wrote.

Shocking Numbers: U.S. Spends $6 Million Per Day to House Unaccompanied Migrant Children; Where’s Kamala? Biden’s Border Point Person Can’t Be Bothered To Show Up.

By Breitbart. According to Health and Human Services, the federal government is detaining more than 20,000 unaccompanied migrant children nationwide. To accommodate the latest surge, HHS opened 13 new detention facilities since March 1 and are designed to house the children until sponsors receive them.

According to the latest HHS data, they hold 16,000 unaccompanied children and another 4,000 are about to be transferred from Border Patrol custody. The HHS estimates the cost to detain a child in the newest facilities, which they refer to as Emergency Intake Sites (EIS), is $775 per day. In other long-term facilities, they indicate that cost to be approximately $275 per day. The temporary shelter numbers are those in excess of 13,500 permanent facility beds, meaning the agency is spending nearly $4 million a day on long-term UACs and nearly $2 million per day on EIS shelters. This does not account for the expenditures by the Border Patrol to detain the additional 4,000 UACs.

According to HHS, the EIS shelters being brought into service will provide required standards of care for children, such as providing clean and comfortable sleeping quarters, meals, toiletries, laundry, and access to medical services. A COVID-19 health screening protocol for all children will reportedly be implemented to follow CDC guidelines for preventing and controlling communicable diseases. Services will be provided by a combination of contractors and federal staff – including teams from the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response and the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. Now it’s Kamala Harris’ problem, too. Two weeks ago, Biden named Harris as his “point person” to address the ongoing surge of men, women and children flooding our immigration system. Given the scale of the crisis – exemplified by children being thrown over walls and the clear potential of a COVID-19 super-spreading event – one would expect the vice president to immediately jump on Air Force Two and get to the border. Right? 

Wrong. Instead, she’s joining her boss in refusing to go see the crisis that their reckless, backward policies have created. Maybe she doesn’t want pictures next to the children sleeping in cages. Maybe she’s too busy complaining about living in a 70,000-square-foot mansion (seriously).

Harris hasn’t even taken the time to hold a press conference since allegedly taking charge of the border situation. She is working harder on avoiding accountability for the crisis than she is on trying to fix it.  . .

Harris’ failure to do even the bare minimum – just showing up – is an insult to the people working overtime at the border to care for the thousands of unaccompanied children that are here due to her administration’s policies.
