White Farmer Sues Biden Over ‘Racist’ COVID Relief

A white Wisconsin dairy farmer is suing the Biden administration for its “racist” coronavirus relief plan.

Adam Faust, a disabled farmer, is one of five people in the state last week to sue the administration over the terms of the American Rescue Plan, which provides aid to “socially disadvantaged” farmers. In a federal lawsuit filed in Green Bay, the group alleges that since that definition only includes minority groups and not white people, they have been denied equal protection under the law.

“Were plaintiffs eligible for the loan forgiveness benefit, they would have the opportunity to make additional investments in their property, expand their farms, purchase equipment and supplies, and otherwise support their families and local communities,” attorneys for the farmers wrote. “Because plaintiffs are ineligible to even apply for the program solely due to their race, they have been denied the equal protection of the law and therefore suffered harm.”

Faust told the local Fox affiliate that the plan is “out and out racist.”

How COVID ‘Rescue’ Funds Are Mowing Down American Small Businesses

Via the American Rescue Plan, Joe Biden and the current U.S. Congress are re-ordering the small business economy in America in a way they may not have thought through, and the consequences will reverberate throughout the economy for years to come.

Washington is about to replace most of the lost revenue of small businesses in a few select industries while leaving nearly all other small businesses hung out to dry. If you run a local movie theater, a live music venue, or a restaurant, you will be given a grant from Uncle Sam to help you build back after COVID-19. Yet hair and nail salons, independent bookstores, travel companies, junk haulers, business brokers, and countless other businesses are on their own.

The new Restaurant Revitalization Fund will replace a restaurant’s 2019 gross revenue in full — up to $10 million per business. There are, yes, a few caveats for affected owners to be aware of. . .

The Shuttered Venue Operators Grant will replace 45 percent of a live performance venue’s gross 2019 revenue largely without the caveats above. This grant is for live music halls, movie theaters, museums, talent agents, and other types of live art presenters and promoters. Again, it’s a potential godsend for many of these folks.

Yet while these programs are essential, they are incredibly unfair to the rest of America’s millions of small businesses. For those not covered by those two programs, what’s being offered are loans that must be paid back with a lower limit than the gross income metric and slow underwriting — that is, if a business even has the savvy to get in on the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program. A Male Powerlifter Could Be Competing in Women’s Sport at 2021 Olympics

New Zealand weightlifter Laurel Hubbard could be the first biological male to compete in a women’s sport at the Olympics.

A rule change, approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), would automatically qualify Hubbard for the New Zealand women’s weightlifting team at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, the Guardian reported Wednesday. The rules were apparently changed after multiple competitions had to be canceled over coronavirus, according to the outlet. Hubbard would compete with the team in the women’s super heavyweight category, the Guardian noted.

Hubbard won two silvers in the women’s World Weightlifting Championships back in 2017 and placed sixth in 2019 after suffering an injury during the competition, the Guardian reported. More Evidence Chauvin Juror Lied During Selection (VIDEO)

Brandon Mitchell, a juror in the trial of former Minneapolis, Minnesota, police officer Derek Chauvin, apparently wore a George Floyd-themed T-shirt at least twice, despite public denials.

The Washington Times reported Wednesday:

Chauvin juror Brandon Mitchell has said he doesn’t remember wearing or even owning a George Floyd-themed T-shirt, but it turns out he sported it more than once.

He wore the shirt, which says “Get Your Knee Off Our Necks/BLM,” during an Oct. 19 episode of “The Wholesome Podcast,” a dating-and-relationships show that he co-hosts, as shown on YouTube and flagged Wednesday on social media.

The apparent YouTube video of Mitchell’s podcast reportedly shows him (at left) wearing the T-shirt in question:

Facebook Oversight Board Makes Decision on Trump Ban; Facebook’s ‘Independent’ Board Stocked With Trump Haters; Decision Shows Company Was Out To Get Him

By Townhall. Facebook’s oversight board voted to uphold a ban on former President Donald Trump’s ability to post content to his Facebook page, as well as his Instagram account. The decision was made on January 7, following the riot at the United States Capitol carried out by supporters of the president.

The indeterminate ban was triggered by a video posted by Trump in which he echoed the claim that the 2020 election was stolen, but told the protesters at the Capitol to “go home.” On account of violating the platform’s standards, the board agreed to suspend Trump’s pages “indefinitely and for at least the next two weeks until the peaceful transition of power is complete,” ahead of President Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Facebook’s ‘Independent’ Board Stocked With Trump Haters

By New York Post. What do you get if you cross a former Danish prime minister, someone who once edited the left-wing Guardian newspaper, a Yemini activist, a bunch of law professors and a Pakistani digital rights advocate? The predictable banning of Donald Trump.

Those are just some of the members of the Facebook Oversight Board, a kind of social media Supreme Court, one the left has already packed. Yesterday, the group extended the banning of Trump from Facebook for six months, urging the company to come up with guidelines that would extend his censoring. Considering how central Facebook can be to political fundraising and outreach, not to mention news, exiling Trump is no small matter. It is meddling with democracy.

Facebook suggests this 20-member group is “independent,” but that’s a farce. . .

Co-chair Jamal Greene, a Columbia Law professor, has tweeted “The transparency of Trump’s unfitness means, almost tautologically, that a big chunk of his supporters are conspiracy-minded.”

Facebook’s ‘Oversight’ Decision Backing Trump Ban Shows Company Was Out To Get Him

By New York Post. Facebook’s handpicked Oversight Board just told the social-media giant that it was OK to suspend President Donald Trump’s account, but it can’t leave the issue in limbo forever — and gave the company six more months to decide whether to make the ban permanent, set a specific “Facebook jail” sentence or let him back.

In other words: Come up with a policy to justify banning Trump, because your stated policies don’t.

The world’s biggest social network said it suspended Trump’s account, with its 35 million followers and 24 million on sister platform Instagram, for “actively fomenting a violent insurrection.” But the company clearly had it in for the former president, using the riot as a pretext to silence him.

Notably, there was no danger of violent insurrection in March, when Facebook pulled an interview with Trump from his daughter-in-law Lara Trump’s page, saying content “in the voice” of Trump was banned, too. Alleged Second Steele Dossier on Trump Emerges

Word of a second anti-Trump dossier by British ex-spy Christopher Steele emerged this week in British media following significant developments in the so-called “Russiagate” controversy.

A report by the Telegraph, citing sources who were not named or described, said Steele kept feeding raw intelligence about former President Donald Trump to the FBI during the Trump administration, longer than was previously asserted, through his company, Orbis Business Intelligence.

This adds a new wrinkle to what the public has been told about Steele, a former MI6 agent whose first dossier on Trump has been largely discredited, weeks after it was reported that special counsel John Durham used a subpoena to obtain documents a Washington, D.C., think tank related to its employment of a Russian researcher who served as a main source for Steele in his research about Trump.

It also follows the Treasury Department announcing sanctions against Konstantin Kilimnik, an associate of 2016 Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, assessing he is a Russian intelligence services agent who provided Kremlin spies with “sensitive information on polling and campaign strategy” during the 2016 presidential race. Woman Charged With Felony After Allegedly Calling Fast Food Worker Racial Slur

A Florida woman has been charged with a felony after she allegedly tossed racial slurs and a Whopper burger at employees at a Burger King over a disagreement about the thickness of the tomato in her hamburger. . .

Police say that a woman approached the fast food employees complaining that the tomato slice in her Whopper was too thick. The employees said that they could not help her unless she stopped screaming at them.

The woman then allegedly threw the Whopper at one of the employees when her back was turned.

They told the police that they heard the woman call them the n-word numerous times as she left the restaurant with her husband. The police report said that the victim’s account was corroborated by surveillance video and other witnesses. One employee was able to get their vehicle’s license plate and gave it to the police. . .

Cop Fired After Facebook Post Calling Black Lives Matter ‘Terrorists’

A New Jersey police officer who wrote that Black Lives Matter demonstrators are “terrorists” who “hate” police officers was fired from her job.

Hopewell Township Police Officer Sara Erwin’s job was terminated via a unanimous vote last week after they accepted the recommendation of a hearing officer that she be fired, reported NJ.com. Police officer Mandy Grey was also demoted and suspended for replying to a comment on Erwin’s June 2020 post on Facebook. . .

Erwin had posted in June of last year—during the height of nationwide Black Lives Matter demonstrations, riots, looting, and arson incidents after the death of George Floyd—that her children told her not to go to work.

“I don’t think I’ve ever felt the way I did last night,” Erwin’s post had read, according to the NY Post. “And then I watched people I know and others I care about going into harms way. I love police family like my own.”

Biden Wants Social Media Platforms to Censor More ‘Untrustworthy Content’

The White House said Wednesday President Joe Biden supported social media companies banning more content considered “untrustworthy” on their platforms.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki declined to say during the daily press briefing if Biden supported social media companies continuing to ban former President Trump from their platforms, but she did reiterate Biden’s support for more censorship.

She said Biden believes that social media companies have the “responsibility” to block questionable content.

“His view is that there is more that needs to be done to ensure that this type of misinformation, disinformation, damaging, sometimes life-threatening information is not going out to the American public,” she said. . .

“The president’s view is that the major platforms have a responsibility related to the health and safety of all Americans, to stop amplifying untrustworthy content, disinformation, and misinformation, especially related to COVID-19, vaccinations, and elections,” she said.
