GOP Rep: Military Focus on ‘Woke Training’ Is National Security Threat

America’s military leaders are creating a national security crisis by “prioritizing woke training over actual war fighting,” Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) tweeted Thursday.

Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL and one of four Republican lawmakers who commissioned a report examining the Navy’s culture and leadership, responded Thursday to a tweet from Sinclair Broadcast Group reporter James Rosen, who said the armed forces were at “a blinking red moment.”

“Unfortunately, the findings of our report aren’t surprising,” Crenshaw said. “We’ve known military leaders are prioritizing woke training over actual war fighting. It’s what we constantly hear from service members. It doesn’t make this any less concerning. It’s a threat to national security.”

The 22-page document, prepared by retired Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Robert Schmidle and retired Navy Rear Adm. Mark Montgomery and made public Tuesday, found “numerous cultural and structural issues that impact the morale and readiness of the Navy’s surface force.”

Those issues included “an insufficient focus on warfighting skills, the perception of a zero-defect mentality accompanied by a culture of micromanagement, and over-sensitivity and responsiveness to modern media culture.”

Audit Finds Folds Behind New Hampshire Election Miscount

Auditors concluded that miscounts in a New Hampshire election were primarily caused by the way ballots were folded, according to a report released Tuesday.

The audit, mandated by the legislature, was called by lawmakers from both parties after a losing Democratic candidate in a legislative race in the town of Windham requested a recount. That recount showed Republican candidates getting hundreds more votes than were originally counted.

The discrepancy drew the attention of former President Donald Trump and his supporters in their effort to find evidence of his wider claim of election fraud from 2020. Critics of the audit said before the report was finalized they felt it had not gone far enough to find the source of the miscount. Texas Democrat Shocks With Photo of Drying Clothes, As Lawmakers Fleeing Vote Claim To Be Martyrs

A Texas Democrat who was among more than 50 state lawmakers to fly from Austin to Washington, D.C., earlier this week to block a GOP voting bill by denying quorum was called out by critics on social media Thursday night over a post about her hand-washed clothes.

Critics suggested the post was another self-serving attempt by a Democrat to portray their absence from Texas – after taking a chartered flight to the nation’s capital – as a personal sacrifice instead of a political strategy move.

“You bet we’re recognizing & honoring our country’s heritage,” state Rep. Donna Howard posted. “As most Texans, tho [sp], this is what we’re doing tonight—using whatever is accessible, uwashing [sic] our clothes in the sink.”

Howard’s Twitter post included a photo of her wet clothes draped over a shower curtain in what looked like a modest hotel room.

By Breitbart. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki declined to blame communism for the current unrest in Cuba on Wednesday, when asked by Peter Doocy of Fox News whether communism was the reason that people might want to flee Cuba for the U.S.

The context of Doocy’s question was a previous query about a statement Tuesday by Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas that Cubans and Haitians should not come to the U.S. by sea — though the administration is making illegal entry easier through the southern land border with Mexico. . .

Doocy: Sure, yeah. Do you think people are leaving Cuba because they don’t like communism ?

Psaki: I think we’ve been pretty clear that we think people are leaving Cuba, or not — leaving Cuba, or protesting in the streets, as well, because they are opposed to the oppression, to the mismanagement of the government in the country. And we certainly support their right to protest, we support their efforts to speak out against their treatment in Cuba. I will say, separately, an important question is also what happens when people are seeking protection, or what happens when they are attempting to flee. In the past, as I noted, we’ve had several humanitarian programs … But certainly, we have said many times, and I will reiterate here, that we support not just the role of the protest, and peaceful protests, we stand with the Cuban people in their call for freedom from both the pandemic and from decades of repression and economic suffering to which they have been subjected by Cuba’s authoritarian regime.

Biden Administration Claims Cuban Anti-Communist Protests Are About ‘Rising COVID Cases/Deaths’

Julie Chung, Acting Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, said via Twitter that Cubans were exercising “their right to peaceful assembly” to protest COVID and “medicine shortages.” . . .

The Biden administration’s attempt to spin the protests as a demonstration about COVID-19 mirrors the rhetoric of the 2020 presidential election, during which Democrats charged that the Trump administration had failed on the pandemic. The little information Cubans have managed to get out of the island indicates that protests have continued daily since Sunday despite widespread reports of police gang beatings, assassinations, and deadly door-to-door raids. . .

In front of the White House, protesters on Monday called for “urgent military intervention” in remarks to Univisión. A New Bill to End Airplane Mask Mandates Is Here

Last week Republican Senator Rand Paul vowed to introduce legislation ending the federal government mandate requiring masks be worn on airplanes.

Today, Paul officially introduced the legislation on Capitol Hill.

“The federal government forcing the American people to continue to wear masks despite the fact that we’ve already reached herd immunity is ridiculous and needs to end immediately,” Paul released in a statement. “I am introducing the Travel Mask Mandate Repeal Act of 2021 to put a stop to this nanny state mandate of requiring masks on public transportation. In a free county people will evaluate their personal risk factors and are smart enough to ultimately make medical decisions like wearing a mask themselves.”

Company To Pull Several Sunscreens Over Cancer-Causing Chemicals

Johnson & Johnson (J&J) announced the recall of five of its sunscreen products Wednesday after a cancer-causing chemical was found in some of the samples.

Low levels of benzene, a carcinogen, were identified in the company‘s following five aerosol sunscreens: NEUTROGENA Beach Defense, NEUTROGENA Cool Dry Sport, NEUTROGENA Invisible Daily, NEUTROGENA Ultra Sheer and AVEENO Protect +, the company said in the Wednesday statement.

All lots of the affected sunscreens are being voluntarily pulled “out of an abundance of caution,” the statement reads.

White House Announces ‘Operation Allies Refuge’ To Evacuate Afghans Who Helped U.S.

The Biden administration on Wednesday announced plans to evacuate Afghanistan citizens who assisted US troops in fighting the Taliban, dubbing the mission Operation Allies Refuge.

Flights out of the war-torn country will begin at the end of July ahead of the final withdrawal of US troops by Aug. 31.

A senior administration official said “the United States is launching Operation Allies Refuge to support relocation flights for interested and eligible Afghan nationals and their families who have supported the United States and our partners in Afghanistan.”

House Republicans Demand Answers About Biden Family ‘Cash-Grab’

A dozen Republican members of Congress demanded Wednesday that the White House turn over information related to the business interests of President Biden’s family in order to “understand the extent of the Biden family’s use of its connection to the President to enrich itself.”

The letter to White House Counsel Dana Remus from the members of the House Oversight Committee seeks information on trips then-Vice President Biden took with son Hunter to China in 2013 and Mexico in 2016. It also asks for a list of “all past and ongoing foreign business interests and past and ongoing foreign relations for members of the Biden family,” as well as all “documents and communications regarding Hunter Biden’s artwork.“

The impetus for the letter, which was first obtained by Fox News, appears to be an upcoming exhibition of 15 of Hunter Biden’s paintings at galleries in Los Angeles and New York City later this year. Prices for the art will range from $75,000 for works on paper to $500,000 for the larger canvases. . .

Professor Singles Out White Student To Discuss His ‘Privilege’ (VIDEO)

A Penn State University sociology professor instructed a white student to stand up in class to make an example of how his race apparently gives him privilege over others. . .

In a discussion of racism, Richards picks on a student named Russell. The professor then told the hundreds of students he “has a benefit of having white skin.” . . .

“Look at Russell, right here, it doesn’t matter what he does,” he also said. “If I match him up with a black guy in class, or a brown guy even …who’s just like him, has the same GPA, looks like him, walks like him, talks like him, acts in a similar way, has been involved in the same groups on campus, takes the same leadership positions, does whatever it is, if I match him up with that person and we send them into the same jobs, upon graduation …Russell has a benefit of having white skin.”

This is not the first time the professor has forced his political opinions on students. State Makes Guns and Ammo Tax Free

Starting July 1, all small firearms and ammunition bought in West Virginia will no longer contain a sales tax.

“If you are going to buy that $2,000 riffle, it’s going to be $120 cheaper here in West Virginia than compared to our neighboring states,” said Delegate Gary Howell, (R) District 56.

This law was formed in House Bill 2499, which was passed during this year’s legislative session to promote business by exempting sales taxes for consumers.

With more than 5 million first-time new gun owners in just 2020, gun stores like this in West Virginia hope to continue the trend in sales.

“It’s definitely going to spike gun sales for the foreseeable future. Then after that, I think it will steadily increase in terms of your mid and high-range arms.
