Lincoln Project Co-Founder: Capitol Riot ‘Profoundly More Dangerous’ Than 9/11 Attacks

Lincoln Project co-founder Steve Schmidt claimed on Wednesday that the Capitol riot is a more dangerous event for the future of the United States than the September 11 terrorist attacks were and is likely to cause more deaths.

“The 1/6 attack for the future of the country is a profoundly more dangerous event than the 9/11 attacks,” Schmidt said. “And in the end, the 1/6 attacks are likely to kill a lot more Americans than were killed in the 9/11 attacks, which will include the casualties of the wars that lasted 20 years following it.”

Schmidt’s comments came during the Lincoln Project’s virtual town hall to discuss the group’s mission to “defend democracy in 2022.” The Lincoln Project is an anti-Trump group of ex-Republicans founded by Schmidt, George Conway, John Weaver and Rick Wilson.

Star U.S. Swimmer Refuses Coronavirus Vaccine Ahead of Olympics

On Thursday, Team U.S.A. swimmer Michael Andrew informed the press that he refused to take any of the coronavirus vaccines ahead of the Olympic games in Tokyo.

During his comments on Thursday’s U.S. Swimming media call, he explained his reasoning for not getting vaccinated, according to Indianapolis’ ABC affiliate, WRTV:

“My reason behind it is I, for one, it was kind of a last moment. I didn’t want to put anything in my body that I didn’t know how I would potentially react to,” the swimmer said. “As an athlete on the elite level, everything we do is very calculated. For me in the training cycle, especially leading up to trials, I didn’t want to risk any days out because we do know that there are periods where getting the vaccine, you have to deal with some days off.” . . .

“But as far as that goes, U.S.A. Swimming and all of us here have been through a very strict protocol with lots of testing, masks, socially distant, obviously staying away from the crowds, everything like that,” he added. “And going into Tokyo, the same thing, with testing every day. White House Attempts To Pin Inflation on Summer

As the cost of basic goods, groceries and gas continues to skyrocket, the White House is attempting to pin rising inflation on seasonal price changes.

“Gas prices do historically rise in the summer and that’s particularly true even in moments like this when there is a spike in people traveling and even more people are hitting the road now because of our success defeating the pandemic,” Psaki said.

The largest House conservative caucus on Friday released a mash-up video of the many times progressives have called for defunding the police to push back on Democrats’ latest efforts to accuse the GOP of being the party that wants to cut law enforcement funds.

The Republican Study Committee first shared with Fox News its nearly 1-minute compilation video of numerous instances where Democrats demanded to strip police departments of funding and to invest the money instead into communities of color and fighting systematic racism.

Set to the orchestral music of “In the Hall of the Mountain King,” the video features comments from the progressive Squad members and allies, like Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Jamaal Bowman of New York and Cori Bush of Missouri.

The video shows a series of tweets and headlines where the left-wing politicians have called for defunding the police and abolishing ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Taliban Tells Russia It Controls 85% Of Afghanistan, Seeks Peace With Moscow

A delegation of the Taliban terror group met with representatives of the Russian foreign ministry in Moscow, where one delegate claimed the Taliban currently controls about “85 percent of Afghanistan’s territory,” Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported Friday.

The Taliban, a jihadist terror group based in Afghanistan, controls roughly “85 percent of Afghanistan’s territory,” Taliban delegate Shahabuddin Delawar told reporters, as quoted by AFP.

Members of the Taliban delegation specifically claimed to hold sway over “about 250 of Afghanistan’s nearly 400 districts,” according to AFP. The French news agency noted the Taliban’s assertion was “impossible to independently verify and disputed by the government,” referring to Afghanistan’s internationally recognized government based in Kabul.

Taliban terrorists have allegedly “captured the [Afghan] border town of Islam Qala on the Iranian frontier and the Torghundi crossing with Turkmenistan,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told AFP on July 8.

A delegation of Taliban representatives landed in Moscow on Thursday to “assure” Russia the group would not “allow” any other jihadist organizations to use Afghanistan as a base for their operations. Even Democrats Believe COVID-19 Originated In Wuhan Lab

A majority of people, now including a slim majority of Democrats too, believe the coronavirus most likely originated in a Wuhan laboratory rather than from nature, a new poll shows, indicating a shift in public opinion since early in the pandemic as China continues to block a truly independent and thorough inquiry into COVID-19’s origins.

The new poll from Harvard University and Politico found that 52% of people in the United States, including 59% of Republicans and 52% of Democrats, believe the coronavirus emerged from a Wuhan lab, while just 28% of adults say COVID-19 began with an infected animal.

“Usually, our polls find a big split between Republicans and Democrats, so this is unique,” Bob Blendon, a professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health who designed the poll, told Politico. “More conservative media have been carrying the ‘lab leak’ issue, and it’s been a Trump talking point from the beginning, so we expected people who lean Democratic would say either ‘It’s not true’ or ‘I don’t know.’ But the belief is bipartisan.”

The new poll, which surveyed 1,009 adults in late June and has a margin of error of 3.8 percentage points, will be released next week. It also reportedly found that “almost two-thirds of Democrats and Republicans” called the issue of investigating COVID-19’s origin either “extremely” or “very” important.

A Kentucky police officer’s bodycam footage captured the moment authorities rescued a young girl from an alleged kidnapping, according to video footage and local reports.

The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) responded to emergency calls in Valley Station on July 2 about a 6-year-old girl who was allegedly pulled off her bike and thrown into a car, according to WHAS 11. . .

Footage of the incident shows Sergeant Joe Keeling arresting 40-year-old Robby Wildt while Officer Jason Burba approaches the car asking the individual in the passenger seat to exit the vehicle. But to the officer’s surprise, he found the young victim sitting in the seat, crying.

Biden HHS: ‘It’s Absolutely Our Business’ to Know Who’s Vaccinated; Biden Begs Americans to Get Vaccinated

By Washington Examiner. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra argued that the federal government is entitled to know who in the United States has been vaccinated, responding to anger from GOP House members who say the Biden administration is infringing on personal liberty.

“Perhaps we should point out that the federal government has had to spend trillions of dollars to try to keep Americans alive during this pandemic, so it is absolutely the government’s business. It is taxpayers’ business if we have to continue to spend money to try to keep people from contracting COVID and helping reopen the economy,” Becerra said on CNN Thursday.

Becerra rejected arguments from the Right that the Biden administration is trying to override the public’s freedom to choose not to be vaccinated. His remarks come just days after President Joe Biden announced that his administration would shift its focus from getting as many people vaccinated as possible to dealing with persistent vaccine hesitancy in certain parts of the country with exceptionally low vaccination rates, primarily in states in the South and the Midwest. Biden had pledged to “go to community by community … and oftentimes door to door, literally knocking on doors,” eliciting anger from Republicans.

“Please Get Vaccinated”: Biden Delivers Remarks on COVID-19 Response

President Biden delivered remarks on Tuesday on his administration’s ongoing response to the coronavirus pandemic, making a personal appeal for Americans to get vaccinated after the country fell short of his goal of 70% of American adults receiving at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine by July 4.

“The best thing you can do to protect yourself, and your family, and the people you care about the most, is get vaccinated,” Mr. Biden said. “Please get vaccinated.”

The president announced that more than 182 million Americans have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. He also said that by the end of the week, 160 million Americans will have received both doses.

The president urged Americans to get vaccinated, particularly because it is effective against the Delta variant of the virus, which he said is “more easily transmissible” and “potentially more dangerous.”

‘No One Cares’: Uncle of Infant Shot in Chicago Speaks Out After Biden-Lightfoot Meeting (VIDEO)

The uncle of an infant who was shot in the head in Chicago said Thursday that “it feels like no one cares” as President Biden and Chicago Mayor Lightfoot attempt to tackle a massive increase in murders and shootings up over 2019.

During an appearance on “America’s Newsroom,” Charles McKenzie, a Chicago community activist, said that although he would like to see the president and the city’s mayor take action and create policies to curb the crime spike, his community cannot wait. . .

Terriana was shot in the head and rushed to the hospital, where she is currently fighting for her life.
