By Breitbart. President Joe Biden claimed in an interview Wednesday no one was getting killed around the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, despite reports of 12 deaths in the area.

From the transcript:

TEPHANOPOULOS: Still a lotta’ pandemonium outside the airport.

BIDEN: Oh, there is. But, look, b– but no one’s being killed right now, God forgive me if I’m wrong about that, but no one’s being killed right now. People are–we got 1,000-somewhat, 1,200 out yesterday, a couple thousand today. And it’s increasing. We’re gonna get those people out:

Report Claims Multiple Fatalities After Taliban Open Fire at Afghan Independence Rally

By Breitbart. Fatalities were reported on Thursday after the Taliban opened fire at an Independence Day rally in a regional Afghanistan town where protesters were flying the flag used by the former Western-backed government.

The Taliban, which was lauded by Britain’s Chief of the Defence Staff, General Sir Nick Carter, as wanting “an Afghanistan that is inclusive for all” only yesterday, is claimed to have attacked the rally where protesters flew the black, red, and green flag of the now-former government in the Kunar region’s provincial capital of Asadabad, according to Reuters.

There are conflicting accounts of the exact events in Asadabad. While Reuters notes a flag-waving rally marking the anniversary of Afghanistan gaining independence from Britain in 1919 being attacked, Al Jazeera claims the shooting followed a member of the crowd stabbing a Taliban fighter with a knife. . .

The Islamist fighters’ actions reportedly left several people dead, whether by the gunfire or the stampede it caused. Al Jazeera claimed “at least two” fatalities and eight injured. (Read more from “Report Claims Multiple Fatalities After Taliban Open Fire at Afghan Independence Rally” HERE)

Report: Here’s How Much Weaponry The Taliban Are Believed To Have Seized From U.S.

The Taliban has seized dozens of aircraft and thousands of weapons, vehicles and pieces of high-tech equipment in Afghanistan that was funded by the U.S. government, Reuters reported.

Billions of dollars worth of military equipment that the U.S. gave to the now-defunct Afghan military has been obtained by Taliban insurgents, officials with knowledge of the situation told Reuters. The massive weapons stockpile left behind in the Middle Eastern nation includes valuable technology such as night-vision goggles, unmanned aerial vehicles and Black Hawk combat helicopters. . .

Current and former officials said the federal government is increasingly concerned the technology could be obtained or sold to U.S. enemies like Iran, China and Russia which have vowed to maintain a diplomatic relationship with the insurgents who now possess the weaponry, Reuters reported. The Taliban invaded Afghanistan’s capital city Kabul on Sunday, triggering the sudden collapse of the Western-supported Afghan government.

Officials estimated the Taliban, which controls the vast majority of the war-torn Middle Eastern nation, is in possession of 2,000 armored vehicles and up to 40 aircraft, including Black Hawks and pricey ScanEagle drones, according to Reuters. Since 2003, the U.S. has given more than 600,000 infantry weapons like rifles, 162,000 pieces of communications equipment and 16,000 night-vision goggles to the Afghan security forces. Poll: Voters Think Biden’s a Weak Leader

A majority of American voters believe President Joe Biden is a weak leader, according to a poll conducted this week amid the collapse of the Afghan government to the Taliban.

Fifty-three percent of registered voters who responded to the Economist/YouGov poll said Biden is weak, with 47 percent calling him strong. Thirty-nine percent said they believe Biden is a “very weak” leader. The poll queried 1,500 U.S. citizens from Aug. 14-17 and had a 3 percent margin of error.

The poll covered a period that saw Afghanistan fall into chaos in the aftermath of Biden’s withdrawal of U.S. troops from the country. On Sunday, the Taliban captured Kabul and toppled the Afghan government, returning to power for the first time in 20 years. (Read more from “Poll: Voters Think Biden’s a Weak Leader” HERE)

MSNBC Writer Uses Afghanistan Tragedy to Equate Pro-Life Conservatives With Taliban Militants

A liberal journalist recently used the tragic events unfolding in Afghanistan to take a heinous potshot at conservatives.

In an op-ed published by the outlet on Wednesday, MSNBC opinion columnist Dean Obeidallah amazingly equated pro-life Republicans with the Taliban militants who have taken over Afghanistan in recent weeks, brutally murdering women along the way.

How are they the same? According to Obeidallah, both groups “deprive women of freedom” and “impose their religious beliefs on others.”

The writer began his polemic by chiding Republican lawmakers such as House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Rep. Steve Chabot (R-Ohio) for voicing concerns for women and girls now under Taliban rule.

Obeidallah essentially questioned whether Republicans have any moral standing to condemn violence against women since they support legislation that prohibits women from murdering babies. Facebook Hit by New U.S. Antitrust Case

U.S. antitrust officials on Thursday refiled their monopoly lawsuit against Facebook Inc., seeking to salvage the landmark case that a judge threw out in June.

The Federal Trade Commission filed the new complaint in federal court in Washington, alleging that Facebook violated antitrust laws by buying Instagram and WhatsApp in order to eliminate them as competitors. . .

The agency is trying to revive the case after U.S. District Judge James Boasberg in June dismissed it, saying the agency failed to provide enough detail to support its claim that Facebook has a monopoly in the social-media market. Boasberg had given the FTC 30 days to fix the error and refile, and the commission won an extension until Aug. 19. (Read more from “Facebook Hit by New U.S. Antitrust Case” HERE)

Heartbreaking: U.S. Student Details Horrors Afghan Family Experiencing After Taliban Takeover

A college student at Virginia Tech whose parents emigrated from Afghanistan is detailing the horrors her relatives are experiencing with the Taliban in control of the country.

“The night after the Taliban took over, I wake up – it’s another day here in America. I look at my phone and I have a missed call and a couple messages from a cousin in Afghanistan,” Mariam Farzayee, president of the Afghan Student Association at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, told Fox News. “He’s begging me for help to get him out, he says, ‘Is there any way you can sponsor me to leave? Is there any way you can help me get into another country?’”

“He was talking to me about he’s terrified for his own life and he feels so helpless and doesn’t know what he can really do from there,” Farzayee said, detailing the photos and videos she received showing how Taliban fighters were outside her cousin’s building. “He said the night before, the Taliban had come to his house and they broke a ton of windows in his neighborhood and they also broke the windows in his cars. He said all he could do was shelter in place because there’s really nothing he can do.”

Farzayee said her cousin was at the airport when he witnessed several people being trampled to death as crowds stampeded onto the tarmac and some desperately clung to the side of a U.S. Air Force C-17 transport plane as it took off. She said he has since returned to his home not far outside of Kabul. (Read more from “Heartbreaking: U.S. Student Details Horrors Afghan Family Experiencing After Taliban Takeover” HERE)

New Report Finds 2020 Presidential Election Abuses

The claims that the 2020 presidential election was the cleanest ever and that there was no inappropriate behavior are challenged in a new report that found Democrats scuttled voter ID rules, flooded mailboxes with ballots and restricted election integrity rules.

“Democrats, including some public officials, used the pandemic as a pretense to achieve long-sought policy goals, such as expanded mail voting and the elimination of key safeguards, specifically for absentee voting, such as witness and ID requirements,” said the report from the RNC’s Committee on Election Integrity.

“The pandemic brought chaos and comprehensive changes to voting processes beginning in the spring primaries and lasting through the post-election process,” it said. . .

The RNC report states: “Unsurprisingly, when evaluating the 2020 election, the committee found that the COVID-19 pandemic was the most impactful issue.”

It says that one of the worst examples “is the automatic mailing of ballots to voters who did not request them, including in states such as New Jersey and Nevada that had no tradition of heavy absentee voting and were unprepared to scale up their processes.” (Read more from “New Report Finds 2020 Presidential Election Abuses” HERE)

Feds Warn Missouri: Your New Law Protecting Gun Owners Is Unconstitutional

The Biden Justice Department is warning Missouri lawmakers that the state’s new gun law is unconstitutional.

The department on Wednesday filed a statement of interest in a court case challenging the law, known as the Second Amendment Preservation Act, which bars state and local officials from enforcing any laws or actions that violate Missourians’ Second Amendment rights.

In its 27-page filing, the DOJ argues that the law appears to be an attempt by the state to supersede federal laws.

“It purports to nullify certain federal firearm laws, prohibits enforcement of those federal firearm laws, and imposes civil monetary penalties on political subdivisions and state law enforcement agencies that enforce, or assist in the enforcement of, those federal firearm laws,” the department said.

Officials say it amounts to a violation of the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution, which bans states from nullifying federal laws. (Read more from “Feds Warn Missouri: Your New Law Protecting Gun Owners Is Unconstitutional” HERE)

Poll: Americans More Worried About U.S.-Based ‘Extremist’ Groups Than Foreign Threats

More Americans are concerned about threats from extremist groups based in the United States than those from other countries, according to a new poll.

A survey released Thursday by the Associated Press found that 65 percent of U.S. adults are “extremely” or “very” concerned about the threat to the country from domestic groups, compared to 50 percent who feel the same about the threat from foreign extremist groups.

There was no significant difference between Republicans and Democrats regarding the threat from foreign extremist groups. Forty-nine percent of Democrats reported being extremely or very concerned about the issue, compared to 54 percent of Republicans. Joe Rogan Rips Fauci for Repeatedly Being ‘100 Percent Wrong,’ Getting Away With a String of Excuses

Top podcaster Joe Rogan tore into the credibility of the country’s lead immunologist, Dr. Anthony Fauci, accusing him of being “100 percent wrong” about the COVID-19 pandemic and said that’s why he doesn’t trust the federal government’s vaccine guidance.

On Tuesday, Rogan and his guest, artificial intelligence researcher Lex Fridman, opined that Fauci has also lost the trust of much of the American public over his lack of transparency regarding his funding of “gain of function” research in China through the National Institutes of Allergies and Infectious Diseases, which Fauci has run since the early 1980s.

The research, which reportedly took place at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, is controversial in that it involves making alterations of viruses and pathogens to make them more virulent so that researchers can study how they spread. The practice is widely criticized because it has the potential to create pandemics as the altered virus escapes or is released and turn deadly.

Rogan said that the mainstream media has pretty much ignored “all the things [Fauci has] done to lead people to distrust him,” in particular, his awarding of NIH grant money to EcoHealth Alliance, which in turn funded GOF research at Wuhan, according to reports.
