Kamala Harris has become the most unpopular US vice president six months into an administration since at least the 1970s, according to polls.

Alarmed Democrat strategists are grappling with the Vice President’s floundering poll numbers which show she is now “underwater,” meaning more Americans disapprove, than approve, of her job performance.

Former Councilman and Retired Priest Accused of Sexually Assaulting Minor

Retired priest and former New York City Councilman Louis Gigante was slapped with a lawsuit that accused him of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old boy in the 1970s in a Bible study course.

Gigante, whose brother was mob boss Vincent “The Chin,” allegedly forced the kid to perform oral sex at St. Athanasius Church in the Bronx, documents filed in Bronx County court showed.

“The Archdiocese knew or should have known that Father Gigante was sexually abusing children and/or had the propensity to do so,” the complaint reads, according to The Bronx Times.

Sarah Palin Weighs Challenge to ‘GOP’ Lisa Murkowski

Former GOP Vice Presidential-nominee Sarah Palin would consider a run for Senate against incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, if it was God’s will and the “state wants me to, or needs me to.”

“If God wants me to do it I will,” Palin told Ché Ahn, leader of the New Apostolic Reformation movement, in a video posted on Instagram in late July. . .

Murkowski has been one of the Senate Republicans deemed vulnerable in 2022 because she will not get the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, having voted to impeach him for Jan. 6 incitement to insurrection after he left office. Trump Flexes Fundraising Muscles Again With Massive Haul in First Half of Year

Former President Trump’s various political committees brought in a combined $82 million in fundraising during the first six months of 2021.

And Trump has spent very little of the money he’s hauled in, with his committees entering the month of July with $102 million cash on hand, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission that the former president made public on Saturday evening.

The fundraising figures, along with the former president’s continued strong standing among Republican voters in public opinion polling, are signs of Trump’s continued popularity and sway within the GOP six months removed from the White House and come even without access to his once powerful pages on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

The fundraising figures release comes as Trump remains intent on continuing to play a kingmaker’s role in party politics while he flirts repeatedly with another presidential run in 2024. Trump is sailing through unchartered waters as he continues to haul in big bucks – as he’s the first former president to raise such large sums of money after departing the White House. Link Between Cases and Deaths Greatly Weakened in Delta Surge

The delta variant-driven summer COVID-19 surge in the United States has so far proved much less deadly than previous waves, thanks in large part to vaccinations.

The number of cases is approaching the levels seen in previous surges. The seven-day average of daily cases has risen as high as 66,606, close to the peak of 68,622 seen during the summer surge of 2020.

Yet hospitalizations have been much lower. Daily hospitalizations so far have hit 31,148 at the highest, far below the 58,488 hospitalizations, for instance, in the spring surge of 2020. Likewise, daily deaths have so far reached a high of 296, only about a tenth of the peak during the winter. . .

Those contracting COVID-19 tend to be younger. Reports from Florida, one of the epicenters of the current surge, show that the average age of those hospitalized is in the mid-40s. People under age 50 are less likely to be hospitalized or die from COVID-19. They are also less likely to be vaccinated, and the vast majority of those presently hospitalized are unvaccinated.

Report Reveals Shocking Double Standards for Bringing U.S. Rioters to Justice

One would think a major report from a group representing America’s top law enforcement leaders analyzing the widespread riots of 2020 would have garnered significant media attention. One also would think such a report would garner widespread discussion after the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capital due to the parallels between it and the 2020 riots. Given our hyper-partisan environment, however, one would be woefully wrong.

Specifically, back in October 2020, the Major Cities Chiefs (MCC) released a comprehensive report full of data from dozens of cities that provides deep insights into the 2020 riots that plagued America after George Floyd’s death in Minnesota. The MCC’s “Report on the 2020 Protests and Civil Unrest” served as an excellent after-action report that cities, states, and the federal government could use to reform their practices and, equally importantly, to prepare for future riots.

With the ongoing hunt for and prosecution of January 6 participants and recent actions by Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi to veto Republican Kevin McCarthy’s choices for the January 6 Commission, the MCC report has become more relevant than ever. The sheer similarities and differences between what happened with and to the participants of the 2020 riots compared to the January 6 riot and rioters are, frankly, shocking. . .

Now here’s a prime example of dissimilar treatment for far worse actions. The January 6 riot involved no guns or fires among protesters, only makeshift weapons like flag poles, batons, and objects from the area.

In contrast, the 2020 riots involved guns, incendiary devices, lasers, paint bombs, and fireworks that were used to torch buildings and cars, hurt police officers, and destroy meaningful parts of many U.S. cities. Despite the far greater violence and destruction the 2020 rioters perpetrated, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) haven’t hunted those rioters down with anywhere near the vigor and vim used against what are in many cases at most trespassers. In an interview with Newsmax, Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, revealed that Trump is “moving forward” with a 2024 presidential run in a “real way.” What exactly does that mean? According to Meadows, Trump met with “cabinet members” at his Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey Friday evening to discuss his future politics.

Meadows said: “We met with some of our Cabinet members tonight. […] We’re looking at what does come next. I’m not authorized to speak on behalf of the president. But, I can tell you this: We wouldn’t be meeting tonight if we weren’t making plans to move forward in a real way, with President Trump at the head of that ticket.”

Last month, Trump told Sean Hannity that he has made up his mind about running in 2024 but didn’t say what the decision was.

“Let me ask you this. Without giving the answer—what the answer is… have you made up your mind?” Hannity asked.

Christian Champion Sounds Alarm on Dems ‘Brainwashing Your Children’

President Joe Biden and his Democratic Party want to pay teachers across America to “brainwash your children with unabashed CRT-laced propaganda,” warns James Dobson, the founder of the James Dobson Family Institute and chief of FamilyTalk radio programs.

Dobson, who has advised five presidents on family issues, has authored dozens of books and was inducted in 2008 into the National Radio Hall of Fame, previously had warned that society was assaulting children, and they needed to be defended.

In his August newsletter, now online, he cites the new promotion from Biden’s Department of Education to give federal money to “education contractors who promote ‘racially, ethnically, culturally, and linguistically responsive teaching and learning practices.'”

That, he said, also could require the Education Department to prioritize social-studies curriculum that teaches students Critical Race Theory, about “systemic marginalization, biases, inequities, and discriminatory policy and practice in American history.”
