More GOP Govs Back Biden’s Plan To Resettle Afghans In Their States

More Republican governors across the United States are publicly supporting President Joe Biden’s massive refugee resettlement operation out of Afghanistan which is set to bring at least 95,000 Afghans to the U.S. over the next year.

Last week, the Biden administration announced that the first group of roughly 36,000 Afghans brought to the U.S. at rapid speed will be resettled across 46 states — including Texas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

The only areas not receiving Afghans are Hawaii, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming, and Washington, DC.

With more details from the Biden administration on the resettlement operation, more Republican governors have come out to support the plan. In August, without having vetting or screening details, 10 Republican governors announced their support for the plan and asked Biden to resettle Afghans in their states.

Those 10 Republican governors include South Carolina’s Henry McMaster, Maryland’s Larry Hogan, Massachusetts’ Charlie Baker, Utah’s Spencer Cox, Georgia’s Brian Kemp, Arkansas’ Asa Hutchinson, Arizona’s Doug Ducey, Iowa’s Kim Reynolds, Oklahoma’s Kevin Stitts, and Vermont’s Phil Scott. Biden Death Panels: Rage Over Rationing of Antibody Treatment To Red States; By Withholding Regeneron, Biden Could Be Sentencing Black People to Death

By Breitbart. Florida Republican lawmakers Friday demanded the Biden-Harris administration to reverse their decision to ration coronavirus antibody treatments to Floridians, saying it “could end up sentencing black people to death from coronavirus.”

The letter, spearheaded by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and signed by Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), Bill Posey (R-FL), Carlos Gimenez (R-FL), Scott Franklin (R-FL), and Neal Dunn (R-FL), asked the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra “to reverse course on the department’s sudden decision to ration monoclonal antibody (mAb) drugs for the outpatient treatment of COVID-19, which will cause the State of Florida to face a severe deficit of doses.”

“This decision was made without providing the Florida Department of Health or healthcare providers anytime to prepare for this dramatic shift,” the lawmakers continued.

“Prior to this week, health care providers were able to obtain mAb therapies directly from distributors,” the lawmakers added. “With no warning, that changed, leaving Florida providers scrambling for information and a path forward for previously scheduled appointments of this life-saving therapy.”

By Withholding Regeneron, Biden Could Be Sentencing Black People to Death

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden’s decision to cut deliveries of monoclonal antibodies to southeastern states, in what critics have called a politically-motivated effort to punish Republican states, could end up sentencing black people to death from coronavirus.

On Tuesday, Politico reported that the Biden administration was going to ration the distribution of monoclonal antibodies from Regeneron, given that “demand from a handful of southern states … accounted for 70 percent of all orders in early September. . .

The states affected include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. All except Louisiana are governed by Republicans.

Texas, Georgia, and Florida are the three U.S. states with the largest number of black residents. Black residents are also a large proportion of residents in each of the affected states, according to data from the 2020 U.S. Census: Alabama (1.3 million – 25.8%); Florida (3.2 million – 15.1%); Georgia (3.3 million – 31.0%); Louisiana (1.5 million – 31.4%); Mississippi (1.1 million – 36.6%); Tennessee (1.1 million- 15.8%); Texas (3.6 million – 12.2%). The nationwide proportion of black residents is 12.4%. . .

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) noted Thursday that over half of his state’s recipients of monoclonal antibody treatments from Regeneron, which are distributed by the federal government, were vaccinated before they became ill from breakthrough COVID-19 infection. Vax Attack: Video Shows Tourists Fight With NYC Restaurant Hostess Over Vaccination Proof

A disturbing cellphone video shows the wild incident in which three tourists from Texas attacked a Manhattan restaurant hostess who had asked for proof they’d been vaccinated against COVID-19, according to a report.

One assailant was recorded swinging a wild, overhand blow at the hostess amid the chaos outside Carmine’s on the Upper West Side, according to a 49-second clip obtained by NBC New York and posted on Twitter.

“F–k! Oh my God! What the f–k!” the hostess screamed.

The mobile seating station outside the Italian eatery was also pushed over during the turmoil but was prevented from hitting the ground by two male bystanders.

One of the men then waded into the fracas, grabbed a woman around her torso from behind, lifted her off her feet and carried her away.

Arizona Election Audit Results To Be Released Next Week

The long-awaited results of the audit of 2020 presidential election race results in Maricopa County, Arizona, are to be released Sept. 24.

Democrats in the state have been in a panic ever since the GOP-run state Senate launched the review last spring.

Arizona was one of a handful of swing states during the 2020 election, and Joe Biden won the White House by a combined few tens of thousands of votes across all those jurisdictions. (Read more from “Arizona Election Audit Results To Be Released Next Week” HERE)

CNN: Start Shaming Stupid Unvaccinated People

CNN host Don Lemon lit into the “stupid” Americans who have weighed the risks and decided not to take the experimental COVID-19 vaccines, declaring “it’s time to start shaming them.”

Lemon was chatting Wednesday night with fellow CNN host Chris Cuomo during the handover to “Don Lemon Tonight.”

“I think we have to stop coddling people when it comes to this and the vaccine, saying, ‘You can’t shame them. You can’t call them stupid. You can’t call them stupid.’ Yes, they are!” he said. . .

“The people who aided and abetted Trump are stupid because they believed his Big Lie. The people who are not getting vaccines — who are believing the lies on the internet instead of science — it’s time to start shaming them … or leave them behind, because they are keeping the majority of Americans behind,” Lemon said.

“Stop it. Stop with it the ignorance!” (Read more from “CNN: Start Shaming Stupid Unvaccinated People” HERE)

Trump Hits Back at GOP Critic Who Called Him ‘a Cancer’

Former President Trump slammed Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (R-Ohio) on Friday after Gonzalez announced that he would not seek reelection next year.

Gonzalez was one of Trump’s staunchest GOP critics in the House and called the ex-president a “cancer” on the country as he announced he was leaving Congress. He had also voted to impeach Trump for inciting the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

Trump typically goes after GOP critics, in part to send the message that others should not speak out against him. The former president has sought to keep a tight grip on his party amid speculation that he could run for the White House again in 2024.

“RINO Congressman Anthony Gonzalez, who has poorly represented his district in the Great State of Ohio, has decided to quit after enduring a tremendous loss of popularity, of which he had little, since his ill-informed and otherwise very stupid impeachment vote against the sitting President of the United States, me,” Trump said, using an acronym for “Republican in name only.”

Gonzalez was one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. On Thursday night, he announced that he would forgo a reelection bid, choosing to bow out of contention rather than face a Trump-backed primary challenge next year. GOP Lawmaker: More Americans Stranded in Afghanistan Than Biden’s Admitting

At least 200 Americans are still stranded in Afghanistan, double the Biden administration’s public claim of around 100, according to Rep. Darrell Issa’s (R., Calif.) office.

Issa’s office has to date communicated with 68 GOP offices, barely a third of the total caucus, and told the Washington Free Beacon it is aware of at least 201 Americans seeking to return home. Issa’s team worked over the past weeks to free more than 35 individuals from Afghanistan, and says that it is in contact with “several more.” Issa’s office believes there are far more than 200 still waiting to be rescued.

The information collected by the lawmaker’s office is leading them to conclude that Secretary of State Antony Blinken and senior Biden administration officials are “lowballing” the total number of Americans trapped in Afghanistan after the botched withdrawal of U.S. forces from the country. Blinken testified before Congress earlier this week that he is aware of around 100 Americans who are in contact with the State Department about returning home—a number the administration has repeated for the past weeks.

“This is the number nobody in the White House wants you to know,” Issa told the Free Beacon. “State has been intentionally vague, even though they have more information than anyone. That’s why we’re making sure the truth is told. The coverup is over.”

Issa and his team disclosed difficulties in dealing with the State Department as they try to free Californians from Afghanistan. Administration officials are said to be overwhelmed by calls and emails from congressional offices on both sides of the aisle that are trying to bring Americans home. After days of back-and-forth, the State Department asked Issa’s office in an email to tell Americans: “Do not rely on U.S. government assistance.” (Read more from “GOP Lawmaker: More Americans Stranded in Afghanistan Than Biden’s Admitting” HERE)

Voting App Disappears After Russia Pressures Tech Companies Ahead of Elections

Silicon Valley companies might need to offer an explanation after a voting app created by allies of imprisoned Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny vanished from Google and Apple stores on Friday.

The Russian people head to the polls on Friday to elect a new parliament. The vote lasts three days and the current party in charge, the United Russia, is anticipating a win. The app disappeared when voting started across Russia for the elections, raising concerns about what the reasoning was behind the move.

“Allies of Navalny, President Vladimir Putin’s fiercest domestic opponent, planned to use the mobile app to organise a tactical voting campaign to deal a blow to United Russia,” Reuters reported.

As The Washington Post reported, “Roskomnadzor, the Russian censorship agency, had threatened to fine the Silicon Valley giants if the app, which encourages voters to cast ballots against the party of President Vladimir Putin, was not removed. The censorship agency argued that the companies were interfering in the nation’s electoral processes.”

The top companies appeared to cave to Russian authorities instead of standing up to them, upsetting opposition allies and digital rights advocates around the world. (Read more from “Voting App Disappears After Russia Pressures Tech Companies Ahead of Elections” HERE)

Gen. Milley Defends Secret Call To Chinese General

Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, finally address reports that he made secret phone calls to his counterpart in China to advise the Chinese generals that Milley would warn them if then-President Donald Trump was planning an attack.

In remarks to reporters in Europe, Milley claimed that calls like the one reported in Bob Woodward and Robert Costa’s new book, “Peril” are “routine” and frequently done “to reassure both allies and adversaries in this case in order to ensure strategic stability.”

Earlier this week, Milley offered a brief response to reports that he both called his Chinese counterpart to tell him he would warn the Chinese military of any possible attacks, and that he circumvented the chain of command to insert himself in the line of individuals notified of a pending nuclear strike.

“The book says Milley told Li that he would warn Li in the event of an attack,” according to Fox News.

Milley is scheduled to testify under oath before Congress on September 28th, and suggested he would be open to questioning on the matter. That questioning, though, will be largely focused on his role in coordinating the United States’ swift departure from Afghanistan and his efforts to advise the Biden administration on whether to abide by a departure timeline set by the Trump adminstration. House Foreign Affairs GOP Predicts U.S. Will Go Back Into Afghanistan

Republican members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee warned that American troops may yet have to return to Afghanistan amid fears that the Taliban will again allow the country to become a haven for international terrorist groups.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken was hauled in front of Congress this week as lawmakers demanded to know how America’s longest war ended in such humiliation. But even amid the inquest, lawmakers’ minds are turning to reintervention.

For many, the war—one so complicated by vague and ever-expanding goals, Pentagon and White House deceit, and a zealous belief in America’s ability to nation-build—is not over.

“I think it’s quite likely that we’re going to end up somehow militarily involved again,” Rep. Steve Chabot (R-OH), who sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee that quizzed Blinken this week, told Newsweek.
