Study: Fully Vaccinated COVID-19 Patients With Cancer Had Super-High Mortality Rate

A new study evaluated the clinical characteristics and outcomes of fully vaccinated patients with cancer who had breakthrough COVID-19 infections indicating that they remained at high risk for hospitalization and death.

The research has been published in the ‘Annals of Oncology Journal’.

The study showed that fully vaccinated patients who experienced breakthrough infections had a hospitalization rate of 65 per cent, an ICU or mechanical ventilation rate of 19 per cent, and a 13 per cent death rate. The study was conducted by the COVID-19 and Cancer Consortium (CCC19), a group of 129 research centres that has been tracking the impact of COVID-19 on patients with cancer since the beginning of the pandemic.

“Patients with cancer who develop breakthrough COVID-19 even following full vaccination can still experience severe outcomes, including death,” said Toni Choueiri, MD, director of the Lank Center for Genitourinary Care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and a senior author on the report.

“That is why a multilayered approach that includes masking and social-distancing, along with vaccination plus booster against COVID-19 remains an essential approach for the foreseeable future,” he added. Tech Exec Quits After Outrage Over Email Calling COVID Vaccine a ‘Jewish Plot’

A Utah tech executive who sent an email to local business and political leaders claiming that the COVID-19 vaccine was a “sadistic” Jewish plot to “euthanize the American people” has stepped down.

The email was sent early Monday to some of the most powerful figures in the state’s public and private sectors, including Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, Utah Jazz owner and Qualtrics CEO Ryan Smith, along with a group of other local executives in a part of the country known as the “Silicon Slopes.”

David Bateman, the co-founder and chairman of property management software provider Entrata, acknowledged in the email — which was sent from his company account — that it “sounds bonkers,” but claimed the vaccine was a plot to depopulate the Earth sponsored by “elites” including George Soros and Bill Gates, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

“I believe the pandemic and systematic extermination of billions of people will lead to an effort to consolidate all the countries in the world under a single flag with totalitarian rule,” Bateman said in the email, according to the Tribune.

Russia Reacts With Fury to Blinken’s Jab at Troops in Kazakhstan

Tensions are rising between the US and Russia, after the Kremlin on Saturday slammed a comment by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Kazakhstan might have a hard time getting rid of Russian troops now deployed there.

Blinken on Friday challenged Russia’s justification for sending forces into Kazakhstan after days of violent unrest in the Central Asian country.

‘One lesson of recent history is that once Russians are in your house, it’s sometimes very difficult to get them to leave,’ Blinken said.

Russia’s foreign ministry called Blinken’s remark ‘typically offensive’ and accused him of joking about tragic events in Kazakhstan. It said Washington should analyze its own track record of interventions in countries such as Vietnam and Iraq.

‘If Antony Blinken loves history lessons so much, then he should take the following into account: when Americans are in your house, it can be difficult to stay alive and not be robbed or raped,’ the ministry said on its Telegram social media channel. Virginia Giuffre has accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her when she was 17 years old as part of the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking ring.

The Telegraph understands that the Queen – who is already funding the Duke of York’s legal battle — will pay towards it.

The Telegraph also understands that the cost of a settlement could be in the region of £5 million ($6.794 million).

Whole Foods Claims Employees Wearing BLM Masks Violates First Amendment

The upscale grocery chain Whole Foods claims the National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) order to allow its employees to wear “Black Lives Matter” masks violates its constitutional rights.

In October 2020, the Amazon-owned Whole Foods stoked controversy when it announced a new dress code policy that banned its employees from wearing “busy patterns on clothing or face coverings, buttons or pins on employee aprons, ripped jeans, athleisure, and t-shirts with visible logos, slogans, messages, or flags of any kind,” according to Insider.

“When a lot of us started working at Whole Foods back in the day, it was a place where you could wholly be yourself and express your personality while still working your job,” one employee said at the time. “We’re worried that it’s leaning toward a more super-corporate, you’re-just-another-cog-in-the-machine kind of employee situation.”

Anchor George Stephanopoulos said, “We now know that President Putin has forces surrounding Ukraine on three sides. He’s made it clear that he believes Russia and Ukraine are one people. Do you think he’s already made the decision to take control of Ukraine?”

81-Year-Old Grandma on Bear Attack: ‘I Survived Because He Took the Dog’

They say dogs are man’s best friend and a recent occurrence highlights that. When a bear attacked an 81-year-old grandmother, she reported only surviving the ordeal thanks to her dog’s valiant sacrifice.

According to the New York Post, the grandmother, Carol Neighbour, who fought off a 300-pound bear on Monday said it’s thanks to her dog, Amanda, sacrificing her life. “I survived, because he took the dog. If he had not taken the dog, he probably would have gotten rid of me,” Neighbour said.

Around 7 p.m. that night, she just let out her springer spaniel Amanda and her daughter’s dog, Vizsla, when they spotted two bears. The duo was eating Neighbour’s trash and after turning on the light, the two dogs started running toward them and barking. The bigger bear ran away, but the smaller 300-pound one stayed and attacked Amanda.

Carol tried defending her dogs which forced the bear’s attention exclusively on her. “I was punching at him and yelling,” she told the New York Post in an interview. After biting Neighbour’s leg and leaving a gash requiring stitches, the bear took off with Amanda. “When they finally found her in the woods, they took her to the vet and she couldn’t be saved,” Neighbour said. “We had to put her mother down this year, who was 17. Iran’s imposition of “sanctions” on dozens of Americans amounts to an assassination threat against members of former President Donald Trump’s administration, according to a senior U.S. official who threatened “severe consequences” for any harm done to them.

“Make no mistake: the United States of America will protect and defend its citizens,” White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said Sunday. “This includes those serving the United States now and those who formerly served.”

Iranian officials have made explicit their interest in killing one of the people involved in the U.S. strike that killed Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Gen. Qassem Soleimani. The regime observed the second anniversary of his death last week, which occasioned a flurry of truculent rhetoric and the unveiling of economic sanctions by Iran that U.S. observers take as a proxy for a threat of violence.

“Wherever it is needed, we will provide for the basis of revenge against the Americans from within their houses and by people by their side without us being present,” IRGC Quds Force Commander Sardar Esmail Qaani said in remarks published by Iranian media. “If wise people in America are found who deal with those who committed the atrocity of assassinating Commander Soleimani, this action will be much less burdensome for America than if the offspring of the Resistance Front, who know no bounds, to themselves go and take this revenge.”

The teen’s parents Jennifer and James Crumbley appeared in court on Friday, as they face involuntary manslaughter charges for the November 30 shooting at Oxford High School, which killed four teenagers and injured others.

Both the defense and prosecution read quotes from Ethan’s journal, which included entries about wanting to shoot up a school, firearms, a demon, and Nazi symbols.

In repeated entries, Ethan writes about a demon or ghost inside his home; he also texted his mom about these concerns several times when he was left home alone.

Well, this was the guy that was supposed to united the country and we’ve pretty much seen what he’s turned out to be. He basically, what he did, was he scolded millions of Americans for what he believes something very bad that they did. He is presuming their guilt. He is assuming they are guilty.
