Border Patrol Arrests Illegal Alien Who Raped a Toddler

Border Patrol agents have apprehended several serious child sex offenders attempting to illegally enter the United States in recent months, including an illegal immigrant who was previously convicted of raping a child under the age of four.

Miguel Vargas Mendoza, 33, was arrested by agents in Yuma, Arizona, on Tuesday after attempting to cross the border illegally. Fox News reports that Mendoza, a Mexican national, had prior convictions for drug possession and having sex with a child three years or younger, as well as willful cruelty to a child.

Fox reported that he is one of several child sex offenders who have been apprehended by Border Patrol as record levels of illegal immigration continue unabated under President Joe Biden’s policies.

In the current fiscal year, Border Patrol agents have encountered 9,381 noncitizens with criminal convictions among a record 1.82 million arrests made, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. In July, there were a record 199,976 encounters, with 166,792 unique encounters. Two-thirds of those encountered were single adults, and while the numbers dipped slightly compared to June, CBP is still on track to make a record 2 million arrests by the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30. School Board Defies Protesters, Retains Ban on Pride Flags, Preferred Pronouns

A Wisconsin school district held firm against protesters, upholding a ban on displaying LGBTQ or Black Lives Matter flags in classrooms or using preferred pronouns in school-related emails.

In the face of opposition from numerous speakers Tuesday night at a school board hearing, the board retained its position.

“We live in a world where politics are highlighted, and it puts people in uncomfortable positions,” Kettle Moraine School District Superintendent Stephen Plum stated.

In late July, Plum said legal analysis had shown the policy of the district did indeed prohibit political or religious messaging, as well as the use of one’s pronouns, in classrooms, staff emails and signatures, USA Today reported.

“The prohibition is based on Kettle Moraine School District’s decade-old policy that bans ‘partisan politics, sectarian religious views, or selfish propaganda,’” CNN noted. (Read more from “School Board Defies Protesters, Retains Ban on Pride Flags, Preferred Pronouns” HERE)

Disgusting: Yale Professor Ripped for Helping Toddlers With ‘Gender Journey’

A Yale professor has come under fire over a video in which she describes helping children as young as 3 years old with their “gender journey.”

Dr. Christy Olezeski, who co-founded the Yale Pediatric Gender Program, was filmed saying she helps treat those questioning their gender and also provides guidance on “medical intervention.”

“I am the director of the Yale gender program, which is an interdisciplinary program working with gender-expansive individuals 3 to 25 and their families,” Olezeski said in the clip posted on Yale University’s YouTube page.

“We help individuals who are questioning their gender identity or who identify as transgender or non-binary, and we help them with their gender journey.”

Olezeski added that the program helps individuals think “through the risks and benefits of medical intervention, starting medical intervention and also building supports around them.” (Read more from “Disgusting: Yale Professor Ripped for Helping Toddlers With ‘Gender Journey'” gab HERE.” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>HERE)

DHS Is Building a $500,000 Taxpayer-Funded Wall at Biden’s Delaware Beach House

President Biden may oppose building a wall along the U.S.’s southern border, but he’s currently spending nearly $500,000 of taxpayers’ money to construct a barrier around his vacation property at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

In September 2021, the Department of Homeland Security doled out a $455,000 contract to a Sussex County, Delaware, construction company to build a fence around the president’s “Summer White House,” according to USAspending.gov, an online database that tracks government spending.

Construction began last September and was expected to be completed by the end of 2021. However, unknown delays have pushed the expected completion date to June 6, 2023, and ballooned costs to $490,324.

Mr. Biden’s critics mocked the beach house wall.

“So walls work at Joe Biden’s beach house but not the Southern border?” asked Rep. Jim Jordan, Ohio Republican, wrote on Twitter. (Read more from “DHS Is Building a $500,000 Taxpayer-Funded Wall at Biden’s Delaware Beach House” HERE)

Trump Raid Judge’s Order Helps DOJ Drag Out Political Persecution of Its Biggest Foe

The affidavit used to obtain a warrant to search former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home will be unsealed, and the Department of Justice must justify every redaction it seeks to make to the material, Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart ruled yesterday. While Thursday’s decision represents a victory for the media outlets seeking access to the documents, whether the public sees anything of substance in the short term remains to be seen.

Following the unprecedented raid on the former president and de facto leader of the Republican Party, the Department of Justice agreed to release the search warrant and the accompanying attachments that described the places to be searched and identified the items to be seized. The government also filed an unsealed, but redacted, copy of the property receipt list, and yesterday, with the government’s agreement, the court unsealed the criminal cover sheet, the government’s motion to seal the search warrant, and the court’s order sealing the warrant and related materials.

The Department of Justice, however, refused to unseal the search warrant affidavit used to obtain the search warrant, even as multiple media outlets argued in motions that they had a First Amendment right to access that material. Thursday afternoon, Reinhart heard oral argument on the consolidated motions and quickly made clear he believed some portions of the affidavit needed to be unsealed.

“On my initial careful review … there are portions of it that can be unsealed,” Reinhart told the attorneys. Then, following arguments, the court issued an order finding “that on the present record the Government has not met its burden of showing that the entire affidavit should remain sealed.” The court further directed the government to file under seal, by Thursday, August 25, 2022, “its proposed redactions along with a legal memorandum setting forth the justification for the proposed redactions.” (Read more from “Trump Raid Judge’s Order Helps DOJ Drag Out Political Persecution of Its Biggest Foe” HERE)

Military Base Housing Afghan Refugees Became Covered in Feces and Displaced U.S. Soldiers, Employee Says

Following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan and the spectacular collapse of the U.S. military engagement there one year ago this month, tens of thousands of Afghans — frequently billed as being interpreters and other U.S.-aligned military heroes — were brought as refugees to military compounds in the U.S., where government officials called them “guests.”

Since then, that narrative has collapsed and raised questions about whether the readiness of the U.S. military is now being harmed in places like Fort Pickett, a Virginia base that houses the Army National Guard Maneuver Training Center and frequently hosts the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for training.

By October 2021, there were “approximately 5,900 Afghan guests on Fort Pickett. Fort Pickett has the capacity to temporarily house up to 10,000 guests,” a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson told The Daily Wire at the time.

A civilian who works on the base, speaking with The Daily Wire on condition of anonymity to protect his job, said the activity displaced army training and that the defense compound had turned into a feces-covered disaster site. “It’s normally a Reserves training compound, and as far as we understand, it’s impacting the schedule so it’s impacting their ability to train,” he said in a previously unreported October interview. “Last year at this time there were a lot of reserve units on the base, this year there aren’t any. There’s no room.”

“It’s putting a load on the soldiers who are supposed to be there doing training, they’re exasperated by the behavior of these people doing things like defecating everywhere, dropping trash whenever they’re done with it,” he said. “The camp where I’m working, there are several barracks-type buildings and a compound fenced in with barbed wire where we store different supplies like weapons and ammunition for the guys who train. All that got moved out,” he said, adding that Afghans were wandering out onto a firing range. Biden Admin Extending Immigration Benefits to Taliban-Connected Afghans

In the Biden administration’s supposedly “humane” policies toward immigration and asylum seekers — the same ones that have turned the U.S.-Mexico border into a deadly and violent mess of lawlessness that benefits only drug cartels and human traffickers — officials are also taking a softer position toward certain Taliban-affiliated individuals from Afghanistan who wish to come to the United States.

After the “most successful airlift in history” one year ago that saw 13 U.S. service members killed in an ISIS-K suicide bombing on August 26, 2021 and planeloads of unvetted Afghan refugees flown out of Kabul last summer, Biden wants to bring more Afghans to the United States. Including some with ties to the Taliban.

Back in June, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security and State Department unveiled new exemptions — via “congressionally provided discretionary authority” — to allow more Afghans to qualify for immigration benefits from the U.S. — asylum, refugee status, and Special Immigrant Visas (SIV).

According to a report from the Inspectors General of the Department of Defense, Department of State, and U.S. Agency for International Development, these exemptions would apply on a case-by-case basis to individuals who “would otherwise be barred from the United States.” (Read more from “Biden Admin Extending Immigration Benefits to Taliban-Connected Afghans” HERE)

Happy Meals: Trump’s Favorite McDonald’s Order Revealed by Jared Kushner

. . .The 45th president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, reveals in his forthcoming White House memoir that he knew Trump was recovering from his nasty bout of COVID in the fall of 2020 “when he requested one of his favorite meals.”

“McDonald’s Big Mac, Filet-o-Fish, fries and a vanilla shake,” the husband of Ivanka Trump recounts, according to a copy of the book obtained by the Washington Examiner.

Trump’s affection for the Golden Arches is well-known and was much commented on during his time in office.

In 2018, Michael Wolff suggested in his controversial book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” that one of the main reasons the then-president preferred fast food was because he “had a longtime fear of being poisoned.”

“[O]ne reason why he liked to eat at McDonald’s — nobody knew he was coming and the food was safely premade,” Wolff wrote. (Read more from “Happy Meals: Trump’s Favorite McDonald’s Order Revealed by Jared Kushner” HERE)

Here’s What Led the FBI to Seek a Search Warrant on Trump’s Mar-A-Lago Home

By Townhall. The competing storylines that run concurrent to the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago have all been published, and now we’re getting more into the details of what led the Justice Department to execute a raid on the former president’s home. The feds summoned two Trump attorneys, Pat A. Cipollone and Patrick F. Philbin, to discuss what went down regarding the handling of classified materials at Trump’s Florida residence. These two men were the leading legal representatives who worked with the National Archives regarding questions over sensitive documents at Mar-a-Lago and their retrieval. The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman wrote that Philbin was interviewed last spring over the matter. And the magical mystery tour that led to the FBI ransacking was set into motion (via NYT):

Pat A. Cipollone and Patrick F. Philbin, the White House counsel and his deputy under President Donald J. Trump, were interviewed by the F.B.I. in connection with boxes of sensitive documents that were stored at Mr. Trump’s residence in Florida after he left office, three people familiar with the matter said.

Mr. Cipollone and Mr. Philbin are the most senior people who worked for Mr. Trump who are known to have been interviewed by investigators after the National Archives referred the matter to the Justice Department this year. The interviews are a sign of the intensity of the investigation into how sensitive government material left the White House with Mr. Trump and remained at his Palm Beach, Fla., residence, Mar-a-Lago, for more than a year.

[…]

Evan Corcoran, a lawyer for Mr. Trump who was said to have suggested that the former president resolve the matter with the Justice Department, went through the material, which was kept in boxes in a storage area in the basement, before that meeting, according to people familiar with the move. It was unclear if he was the only one to do so.

New Details on Trump Espionage Act Investigation Revealed

By Washington Examiner. A judge unsealed more documents related to the FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, even as the Department of Justice seeks to keep the affidavit justifying the search hidden.

The search warrant application cover sheet, originally filed Aug. 5 and ordered unsealed on Thursday by the magistrate judge handling the case, provided more details on what the Justice Department was looking for.

The records show Trump was being investigated under 18 U.S.C. 793 (part of the Espionage Act) and said it was related to “willful retention of national defense information.”

The newly unsealed cover sheet pointed to 18 U.S.C. 2071, specifically the “concealment or removal of government records,” as well as 18 U.S.C. 1519, specifically related to “obstruction of federal investigation.”

The DOJ said in the unsealed warrant application that “the basis for the search” under the federal rules of criminal procedure was “evidence of a crime” and “contraband, fruits of a crime, or other items illegally possessed.” (Read more from “New Details on Trump Espionage Act Investigation Revealed” HERE)

Black Parent Sues LA School After Children Pick Cotton

A black parent is suing the Los Angeles Unified School District and Board of Education for a civil rights infringement after her daughter’s school allegedly had children picking cotton to learn about life as a slave.

Rashunda Pitts said her now 14-year-old daughter, identified in the suit as S.W., experienced emotional distress as a result of the project, which she deemed culturally insensitive, and claims her daughter now suffers from anxiety, according to the lawsuit filed in the L.A. Superior Court last week.

“S.W. has suffered extreme emotional distress,” the lawsuit stated, according to the Los Angeles Times. “She has uncontrollable anxiety attacks and has experiences bouts of depression when she thinks about the Cotton Picking Project.”

The reported incident dates back to 2017, when Pitts’s daughter’s social justice teacher planted a cotton field in front of the school as part of the campus garden. The school claims the garden was to give children a “real life experience” of what it was like to be a slave by “picking cotton,” because they were reading the autobiography of Frederick Douglass. Pitts’s daughter was not required to pick the cotton, but was forced to watch other children do so while she tended to other plants in the garden, according to the lawsuit.
