Congressman Urges GOP Not to Abandon President Trump

The results of the 2022 midterms are not all final yet, but it appears that the Republican Party could have a majority in the U.S. House, and possibly the Senate, a result that effectively would block many of Joe Biden’s more extreme spending, abortion and transgender agenda points. . .

That has left critics, opponents and commentators calling for the party to abandon President Trump, who was active in the 2022 races, endorsing many candidates, many of whom won. . .

But in a column at the Daily Caller News Foundation, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., who has openly supported Trump and who won his re-election race, suggested otherwise.

“I can rattle you off statistics about how much better America was two years ago. Gas prices were roughly half of what they are now. There was about a third less fentanyl crossing the border. We were also not on the brink of nuclear war with Russia,” he explained.

Dems Won Independent Votes on Abortion; ‘Women Went Crazy’: Obama Official

After several surprising wins for Democrats Tuesday night, a former campaign manager for President Barack Obama said that the left can thank the issue of abortion for driving voter turnout and swaying independent voters in this year’s midterms.

Jim Messina, who worked on Obama’s campaign in 2012, told Fox News in an interview Wednesday morning that a large portion of Democratic women voters were driven to the polls out of “anger” in states that had reproductive rights on the ballot after the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn federal abortion protections this summer.

“Abortion is becoming the issue that is driving turnout,” Messina told Fox.

Arizona’s Election Administration Is an International Embarrassment

Two days have passed since polls closed in Arizona and unsurprisingly, election officials in the state have failed to provide voters with the final results of numerous highly contested races.

As of this article’s publication, none of Arizona’s contested statewide races have been called for any of their respective candidates. With 70 percent of votes tabulated, Democrat Katie Hobbs leads her Republican rival Kari Lake in the gubernatorial race by fewer than 13,000 votes, while Democrat Mark Kelly leads Republican Blake Masters by a little less than 95,000. The races for Arizona attorney general and secretary of state also remain up in the air, with both still too close to call. . .

While countries with tens of millions of citizens, such as France and Brazil, are able to tabulate nationwide election results within 24 hours, the Grand Canyon State has continued to disrespect its voters by repeatedly leaving them in limbo and turning what’s supposed to be Election Day into “election season.” International election observers have regularly pointed to delayed election results as one of several warning signs of incompetent election administration, and although that doesn’t mean there was impropriety in this year’s Arizona elections, the failure to tabulate votes in a timely and efficient manner does nothing but undermine voters’ confidence in the electoral process.

Much like their counterparts in Washington, D.C., Arizona’s Republican leaders such as Gov. Doug Ducey have had numerous chances over the past two years to resolve delayed vote tabulations; and at every available opportunity, they have simply chosen to ignore it. In Kari Lake, many Arizona Republicans see a leader who tackles challenging issues rather than runs from them. And given what the public has witnessed over the past two years, it sure looks like the state could use one. Trump Reacts to Midterm Results

By Daily Caller. Former President Donald Trump celebrated the outcome of the 2022 midterms late Tuesday night, posting that it was “a great evening,” and congratulating winning Republican candidates.

“174 wins and 9 losses, A GREAT EVENING, and the Fake News Media, together with their partner in crime, the Democrats, are doing everything possible to play it down. Amazing job by some really fantastic candidates!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The Republican Party scored several notable victories on Election Day, including a strong performance from Ohio Senator-elect JD Vance against Democrat Tim Ryan. Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders won the Arkansas gubernatorial race, becoming the first woman to do so, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis defeated Democrat Charlie Crist by nearly 20 points.

Republicans still have a chance to win the Senate and the House, but the predicted “red wave” did not materialize in either chamber. The GOP currently stands at 47 seats in the Senate with leads in Wisconsin and Nevada and a runoff between two Republican candidates in Alaska, according to the Associated Press. To get to a majority, Republicans would need to win in either Georgia, where Democratic incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock is likely headed to a runoff against Republican challenger Herschel Walker, or in Arizona, where as of late Wednesday morning, The New York Times showed the race leaning toward Democratic incumbent Sen. ‘Titanic Clash’ Brewing Between Trump and Desantis After Midterm Results, Predicts Brexit’s Nigel Farage

Trump Attacks Desantis: I Got More Votes Than Him, Needs to Be ‘More Gracious’ to Me. I Won His Primary.

By Daily Wire. Former President Donald Trump (R) tried to downplay Florida Governor Ron DeSantis‘ (R) dominant election victory on Tuesday night, claiming that his victory in 2020 in Florida was more impressive than DeSantis’ victory last night, even though facts do not support that notion.

“Now that the Election in Florida is over, and everything went quite well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020, I got 1.1 Million more votes in Florida than Ron D got this year, 5.7 Million to 4.6 Million?” Trump said on social media. “Just asking?”

It impossible to compare the turnout for midterm elections to the turnout for presidential elections because the turnout for presidential elections is always higher. What can be compared, though, is the margin of victory.

Biden was responding to a reporter’s question asking what he plans to do in order to change the opinion of voters on the direction of the country as he considers a re-election bid in 2024.

Sixty-one percent of people surveyed in the Fox News Voter Analysis believe that things in the U.S. are headed in the wrong direction.

Democrats Take Major Loss as DCCC Chair Concedes in New York

New York Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney became the first Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) chair to lose his seat in 40 years when he conceded to Republican challenger Mike Lawler on Wednesday.

Lawler, a first-term assemblyman, focused on crime and inflation to knock off the incumbent in the typically liberal 17th congressional district of New York.

Lawler, as of Wednesday afternoon, is at 50.6%, compared to Maloney’s 49.4%, with about 95% of the vote counted.

“I don’t like to lose, but my opponent won this race. He won it fair and square. Voters Elect State’s First Transgender Lawmaker Into Office

Minnesota voters have elected the state’s first transgender state lawmaker into office.

Democratic candidate Leigh Finke collected 15,635 votes, or 81%, in District 66A in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

The district is located northeast of Minneapolis, and has a population of just over 41,000 people.

Major Conflict With China ‘Is Coming,’ Outgoing Strategic Command Chief Warns

China is increasing its nuclear forces more rapidly than American analysts anticipated, according to the outgoing commander of the Pentagon’s Strategic Command, who warns that Beijing is in the midst of a “breakout” buildup of forces.

Adm. Charles Richard, who has headed the Strategic Command, or STRATCOM, since 2019, said the Chinese nuclear expansion is a near-term problem that requires action by the United States.

“As I assess our level of deterrence against China, the ship is slowly sinking,” Adm. Richard warned in a speech during the Naval Submarine League’s 2022 Annual Symposium & Industry Update.

Georgia Senate Election Between Warnock, Walker Officially Headed to Runoff: Secretary of State

The Georgia Senate election between Sen. Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker is officially heading to a runoff for Dec. 6, said the Georgia Secretary of State’s office on Wednesday.

Neither Warnock, a Democrat, nor Walker, a Republican, gained more than 50 percent of the vote. Election data showed that Warnock had a slight lead over Walker.

Warnock had 49.4 percent of the vote as compared to Walker’s 48.5 percent, while Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver got 2.1 percent. Some 35,000 votes separated the Republican and Democrat candidates.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said in a news conference Wednesday said that his office started the “behind-the-scenes ballots” and “counties are making preparations” for the runoff.

He said that voters can request absentee ballots from Wednesday, Nov. 9, until Nov. 28, adding that about 150,00 voters will automatically receive an absentee ballot because they are on a “rollover list.” Most of these individuals are disabled or over the age of 65, Raffensperger said. Gas Crisis Wipes $100 Billion off German Economy

The ongoing gas crisis has resulted in the German economy losing over $100 billion, a report from a major economics institute has claimed.

A paper published by the Ifo Institute for Economic Research, one of Germany’s largest financial think tanks, has claimed that the country has ultimately lost over $100 billion as a result of the ongoing energy crisis.

Coming about as a result of Germany becoming overreliant on Russian gas while pushing its green agenda, many within the general public are now experiencing serious financial hardship, even cutting down on Christmas celebrations just to scrape by.

According to the research published by the Ifo Institute on Tuesday, this year’s losses as a result of the gas crisis will amount to just under 2 per cent of the total economic output of Germany, or around €64 billion (~$64 billion).
