Sarah Palin Tells Supporters to Stop Donating to the GOP: ‘They Opposed Me Every Step of the Way’; Midterm Election Results: These Key Races Have Yet to Be Called

By Independent UK. Sarah Palin has gone nuclear on the Republican Party, claiming the GOP sabotaged her Alaska House race and that they deserved their drubbing in the midterms.

In a conspiracy-laden Instagram post, Ms Palin blamed the “cockamamie” ranked choice voting system, Senator Lisa Murkowski and the “dark, dysfunctional GOP machine” after she was seemingly trounced by Democrat Mary Peltola for a second time in three months.

“The GOP establishment deserves losses until it’s willing to fight for what is right,” the former vice presidential candidate wrote.

“They opposed me every step of the way in my Congressional bid, which is par for the course.”

With 80 per cent of votes tallied in the Alaska first congressional House race, Ms Peltola appears to have an unassailable lead with 47 per cent. Ms Palin is second on 26.6 per cent and fellow Republican Nick Begich is on 24 per cent.

Midterm Election Results: These Key Races Have Yet to Be Called

By Fox News. The United States midterm elections may have been held on Tuesday, but Americans still do not know who will have control of either the House of Representatives or the Senate.

Outstanding mail-in ballots are still being counted in several states, as anxious voters wait to see if their preferred candidates will prevail. Republicans appear to be inching toward a House majority, but the Senate remains a toss-up as important races in Arizona and Nevada are unresolved, and the Georgia Senate race will head to a Dec. 6 runoff. . .

The Fox News Decision Desk has called the race for all but three races where mail-in ballots are still being counted. The Georgia Senate race between Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., and Republican challenger Herschel Walker will head to a runoff on Dec. 6, because neither candidate received more than 50% of the vote.

The outstanding races are in Arizona, where Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly leads Republican Blake Masters, and Nevada, where Republican Adam Laxalt leads incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev.

The Senate race in Alaska uses ranked choice voting and will head to a runoff with the top two vote-getters. Currently, Republican challenger Kelly Tshibaka leads incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, ahead of all other candidates. (Read more from “Midterm Election Results: These Key Races Have Yet to Be Called” HERE)

Trump Files Lawsuit to Avoid Jan. 6 Committee Subpoena

Former President Donald Trump is suing the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to block a subpoena requiring him to testify.

The suit contends that, while former presidents have voluntarily agreed to provide testimony or documents in response to congressional subpoenas in the past, “no president or former president has ever been compelled to do so.”

“Long-held precedent and practice maintain that separation of powers prohibits Congress from compelling a President to testify before it,” Trump attorney David A. Warrington said in a statement announcing Trump’s intentions.

He said Trump had “engaged with the Committee in a good faith effort to resolve these concerns consistent with Executive Branch prerogatives and separation of powers,” but said the panel “insists on pursuing a political path, leaving President Trump with no choice but to involve the third branch, the judicial branch, in this dispute between the executive and legislative branches.”

The suit likely dooms the prospect of Trump ever having to testify, given that the committee is expected to disband at the end of the legislative session in January. The committee did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the suit. (Read more from “Trump Files Lawsuit to Avoid Jan. 6 Committee Subpoena” HERE)

INSANITY: Biden to Extend COVID-19 Health Emergency

The Biden administration is set to extend the COVID-19 public health emergency through at least next April.

The public health emergency, which was set to expire on Jan. 11, will remain in place through the first quarter of 2022 to allow the government more time to offload responsibility for COVID-19 vaccines, tests, antiviral treatment, and other COVID-19 pharmaceuticals to the private sector — all have been provided free by the government during the health emergency, a Biden administration official told Reuters.

The emergency declaration was initially declared in January 2020 and has been extended in increments of 90 days since.

The Biden administration signaled earlier this year that it would begin figuring out how to transfer key tasks to the private sector, meeting with drugmakers, pharmacies, and other stakeholders in the healthcare industry in late August to discuss how to begin the commercialization process, though the transition has been slow to get off its feet.

Despite the extension, the administration is running on a time crunch to begin the process as federal COVID-19 funding runs low. Dawn O’Connell, the assistant secretary for preparedness and response, said in August that the administration anticipates running out of runs to purchase or distribute vaccines by “as early as January 2023.” (Read more from “Biden to Extend COVID-19 Health Emergency: Report” HERE)

Eleven Children Collapse at School After Playing ‘Ouija Board Game’

A group of teenagers collapsed after using a Ouija board at a school in Colombia, with five taken to hospital, according to reports.

Teachers at the Agricultural Technical Institute in Hato are said to have found 11 students, aged 13 to 17, passed out in a corridor.

The teenagers were suffering from violent vomiting, abdominal pain and muscle spasms. While most were treated at a health centre nearby, five were taken to the Manuela Beltrán Hospital.

After receiving treatment, doctors said in medical reports that the teenagers suffered from food poisoning. The rectory of the school is waiting to confirm the exact details surrounding the incident with authorities before ruling on the case.

Jose Pablo Toloza Rondón, the mayor of Hato said: “The children were passed out, at the time they were found they were short of breath and thick drool was coming out of their mouths. (Read more from “Eleven Children Collapse at School After Playing ‘Ouija Board Game’” HERE)

Twitter Manager Vomited After Elon Musk Ordered Him to Fire Employees: Report; Twitter Exec Who Censored the Post’s Hunter Biden Exposés Quits in Latest Mass Exodus

By New York Post. A Twitter manager threw up in a trash can after new CEO Elon Musk directed him to fire hundreds of employees as part of the company’s decision to slash its workforce in half, according to a new report.

The graphic detail was revealed in a sweeping New York Times report published Friday that painted a grim picture of Twitter’s overhaul as it faces executive resignations, fleeing advertisers and revenue struggles.

The Times spoke with 36 current and former Twitter employees since Musk’s $44 billion takeover of the social media giant, some of whom told the newspaper many staffers learned about the mass layoffs via an internal Slack channel where HR and legal teams discussed the impending move two days before they began on Nov. 4.

One widely-shared message on Slack indicated as many as 3,738 workers could be laid off. Employees immediately began saying their goodbyes and exchanging information, The Times reported.

“One engineering manager was approached by Mr. Musk’s advisers — or ‘goons,’ as Twitter employees called them — with a list of hundreds of people he had to let go. He vomited into a trash can near his feet,” The Times wrote. (Read more from “Twitter Manager Vomited After Elon Musk Ordered Him to Fire Employees: Report” HERE)

Yoel Roth, the Twitter Exec Who Censored the Post’s Hunter Biden Exposés, Quits in Latest Mass Exodus

By New York Post. The Twitter exec who censored The Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden — and brazenly likened members of the Trump administration to Nazis — has quit just days after getting public support from new boss Elon Musk.

Yoel Roth, 35, until Wednesday had continued pushing the site’s shifting policies on trolling and hateful conduct — and appeared alongside new owner Musk, 51, in defending the platform in a crunch meeting with advertisers that same day.

But Twitter staffers were told on Slack on Thursday that Roth was the latest key exec to have resigned, according to employees.

Roth also confirmed his exit by changing his bio on the site he’d worked at for seven years to “Former Head of Trust & Safety at @Twitter.”

The long-contentious exec was just one of the latest key figures to join the exodus during the unprecedented crisis that Musk this week admitted could end in bankruptcy. (Read more from “Yoel Roth, the Twitter Exec Who Censored the Post’s Hunter Biden Exposés, Quits in Latest Mass Exodus” HERE)

WH Refuses To Say Why Biden Has A List Of Pre-Selected Reporters To Call On

Throughout President Joe Biden’s time in office, he has been known for having a list of pre-approved reporters that he is allowed to call on during press conferences.

The list made an appearance once again for his first press conference post-Tuesday night’s midterm elections.

During Wednesday’s press conference, Biden admitted to having a pre-selected list of 10 reporters he was told to take questions from.

“Now, I’ve been given a list of 10 people that I’m supposed to call on and you’re all supposed to ask me one question, but I’m sure you’ll ask me more. So let me start with the list I’ve been given,” Biden said.

However, the White House refused to give up the jig, saying that they will not share information about why Biden uses a list. (Read more from “WH Refuses To Say Why Biden Has A List Of Pre-Selected Reporters To Call On” HERE)

Texas Man Accused of Drugging Wife’s Drinks to Induce Abortion

A Houston man is accused of trying to induce an abortion in his wife by putting drugs in her drinks, a felony offense under the state’s new abortion laws.

Harris County prosecutors recently charged Mason Herring, 38, with the new crime of “assault – forced induction to have an abortion” and with the assault of a pregnant person, according to KTRK-TV.

Authorities said that Mr. Herring put Misoprostol, a drug commonly used for medical abortions, in his wife’s drinks.

“It’s manipulative,” Assistant District Attorney Anthony Osso told KTRK, the Houston ABC affiliate.

“It’s premeditated. What we are alleging (he) did, which we believe the evidence supports, is a pretty heinous act. To do that to someone who trusts you, it’s taking advantage of that trust,” he said. (Read more from “Texas Man Accused of Drugging Wife’s Drinks to Induce Abortion” HERE)

Judge Finds Biden’s Student Loan Forgiveness Program Unconstitutional, Blocks It for All Borrowers

A judge in Fort Worth, Texas, found that President Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness program was unconstitutional and ended it for all borrowers.

District Court Judge Mark Pittman said that the program usurped the powers invested in Congress to create law.

The Biden administration claimed that the HEROES Act of 2003, which provided loan assistance to military personnel, had given the president the power to expand loan forgiveness to student borrowers. While originally enacted after the 911 terrorist attacks, the act also allowed for expansion of government power in other national emergencies, like a pandemic.

Even some supporters of the plan have admitted that the legal justification for the policy was dubious. (Read more from “Judge Finds Biden’s Student Loan Forgiveness Program Unconstitutional, Blocks It for All Borrowers” HERE)

$66 Billion In, It’s Clear the Realists Were Right About Ukraine

U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has been speaking with high-level Russian officials “to guard against the risk of escalation and keep communications channels open, and not to discuss a settlement of the war in Ukraine,” The Wall Street Journal reports, citing anonymous sources.

It appears the Biden administration has been privately pushing Ukraine to come to the negotiation table, while, bafflingly, providing Ukraine with whatever it wants. On-book U.S. spending on Ukraine’s war is so far about $66.3 billion, the largest foreign government contribution to the war by far.

The Washington Post adds, also citing anonymous sources, that the Biden administration is making:

a calculated attempt to ensure the government in Kyiv maintains the support of other nations facing constituencies wary of fueling a war for many years to come. The discussions illustrate how complex the Biden administration’s position on Ukraine has become, as U.S. officials publicly vow to support Kyiv with massive sums of aid ‘for as long as it takes’ while hoping for a resolution to the conflict that over the past eight months has taken a punishing toll on the world economy and triggered fears of nuclear war.

Consider the stupidity of this strategy. Everyone with an IQ greater than an absent-minded jellyfish knows Ukraine as an independent actor and state wouldn’t even exist without American politicians granting it an open checkbook even during crippling inflation and functionally open borders. But America has to privately beg Ukraine because Washington, D.C., is trapped by its own grandiose rhetoric and foolish decision to give Ukraine billions and advanced weapons. The tail now wags the dog. (Read more from “$66 Billion In, It’s Clear the Realists Were Right About Ukraine” HERE)
