George Santos Accused of Online Jokes About Hitler, ‘the Jews and Blacks’

Disgraced Long Island Rep. George Santos allegedly made tasteless jokes about Adolf Hitler and “the Jews and blacks,” according to an alarming new report.

The Republican congressman — who claimed to be a “proud American Jew” during his campaign before admitting to The Post last month that he was “clearly Catholic” — purportedly made the wisecrack in a Facebook thread obtained by Patch.

The since-deleted comment was a reply to a March 2011 post from a friend who suggested that a photo of someone saluting looked “something like Hitler,” the outlet said.

“hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh hiiiiiiiiiiiitlerrrrrrrrrrr (hight hitler),” Santos replied, according to a screenshot of the chat shared by a former friend, Patch said. . .

NYT Contributor Is Terrified of New Childhood Obesity Guidelines for All the Wrong Reasons

A guest columnist published an op-ed in The New York Times on Thursday about how the new American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines on treating childhood obesity have left her terrified. And she should be terrified. . .

But Virginia Sole-Smith, the author of “Fat Talk: Parenting in the Age of Diet Culture,” which comes out in April, is terrified for all the wrong reasons. According to Sole-Smith, the medical community’s remaining stigmas against excessive weight are problematic.

“The guidelines are rooted in a premise that should have been rejected long ago: that weight loss is the best path to health and happiness,” Sole-Smith wrote. “The academy’s guidelines are the latest sally in the war on obesity that health care providers, public health officials and the general public have waged to shrink our bodies for over 40 years. The approach hasn’t worked; Americans, including kids, are not getting thinner.”

She’s right that the kids are not all right. But she’s dangerously wrong to claim Americans should raise the white flag on the issue. On the contrary, Americans should be alarmed that the population’s obesity epidemic has swollen to such epic proportions that 1 in 5 children is clinically obese. Americans should be disturbed that by even the “healthy” diet standards their government recommends, their food is still leaving them and their neighbors not just fatter but sicker, with 88 percent of adults suffering from some form of metabolic dysfunction. . .

Sole-Smith’s solution to childhood obesity, however, is to recalibrate objective standards of health. In keeping with the modern “body positivity” movement and the left’s habit of redefining truth and terms to fit their perception of reality, the Times guest columnist thinks we would all be healthier if we just stopped calling obesity and other health detriments unhealthy. Tucker Carlson Accuses ‘Flamboyantly Pure’ Pence of Collaborating With Feds to Nail Trump in Docs Case

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson has a different take on the reports involving former Vice President Mike Pence and the classified documents found at his Indiana home.

According to Mediaite, Carlson attacked the former vice president as he accused him of conspiring with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to bring down former President Donald Trump as his classified documents investigation continues.

The conservative primetime host made the remarks during his segment of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Tuesday, January 24. He opened the discussion by highlighting what he describes as “unexplained weirdness.” . . .

“So here’s the latest example of unexplained weirdness in the news,” Carlson opened the broadcast. “Mike Pence, of all people, has just swooped in to save Joe Biden. Yes, Mike Pence, a man so flamboyantly pure he won’t have dinner with ladies, not his wife. And yet Mike Pence also had secret documents in his house, just like Joe Biden!” . . .

“We can’t say for certain, but it’s entirely possible; in fact, it’s likely that Mike Pence was asked to do this by federal prosecutors who are trying to build a case against his old boss, Donald Trump,” Carlson explained. ‘New Level of Confrontation’: Russia Reacts to U.S., Germany Tank Deliveries to Ukraine

Russia responded Thursday for the first time regarding the decision by President Biden to send Abrams M1 tanks to Ukraine, accusing it of “direct involvement in the conflict.”

During his Wednesday announcement, Biden said the shipment of tanks that he classified as the “most capable tanks in the world” were not “an offensive threat to Russia.”

However, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov clapped back at this and said, “There are constant statements from European capitals and Washington that the sending of various weapons systems to Ukraine, including tanks, in no way signifies the involvement of these countries or the alliance in hostilities in Ukraine.”

“We categorically disagree with this, and in Moscow, everything that the alliance and the capitals I mentioned are doing is seen as direct involvement in the conflict. We see that this is growing,” he told reporters, according to Reuters Thursday.

Mike Pompeo Accuses Schiff of Leaking Classified Documents

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) of leaking classified information during his time as chairman on the House Intelligence Committee.

Pompeo did not provide any proof or explanation as to what was in the allegedly-leaked documents. However, he said during a Fox News interview that Schiff “almost ruined the committee” with his leadership.

“Adam Schiff lied to the American people, and during my time as CIA director and secretary of state, I know that he leaked classified information that had been provided to him,” he said.

Despite (Or Because Of) Mass Vaccination, COVID-Related Cardiovascular Deaths Skyrocket

Heart disease remained among the leading causes of death, even amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which may have exacerbated preexisting CVD morbidity-related racial/ethnic disparities, researchers reported.

In 2020, more than 3.3 million deaths were registered in the U.S., which exceeded the 2019 figure by more than 500,000 deaths, according to the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Disease and Stroke Statistics update.

CVD-related deaths in the U.S. increased from 874,613 in 2019 to 928,741 in 2020, the highest single-year occurrence of CVD deaths since 2003, according to the AHA report.

“While the total number of CVD-related deaths increased from 2019 to 2020, what may be even more telling is that our age-adjusted mortality rate increased for the first time in many years and by a fairly substantial 4.6%,” Connie W. Tsao, MD, MPH, FAHA, assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, attending staff cardiologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and volunteer chair of the statistical update writing group, said in a press release. Zelensky vs. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church

On January 2, an Orthodox church in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, was covered in blood. In the morning, a man burst into the church and turned the crucifix over, broke several icons, threw banners on the floor, and finally cut the priest’s throat with a razor. A few days earlier, in the city of Chornomorsk, parishioners of an Orthodox church only at the last moment disarmed a man who was about to stab the priest with a knife. In the village of Chechelnyk, a man in camouflage brutally beat a priest right on the street, breaking his nose and shouting curses.

There is a backstory to the above. Stand-up comedians at Kvartal 95, the film studio co-founded by now President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, recently released a video where they obscenely insulted Orthodox priests and publicly wished them death. The video is a news parody in the style of The Daily Show that mocks the church and refers to its clergy as “Russian agents.” Many experts see a direct connection between the appeals of the actors and the recent violence.

The target of all these attacks is the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which used to be in unity with the Moscow Patriarchate but has had an independent and autonomous status for more than 30 years. . .

Fox News journalist Tucker Carlson assessed the [current] situation accurately: “Zelenskyy’s secret police have raided monasteries across Ukraine, and even a convent full of nuns, and arrested dozens of priests for no justifiable reasons whatsoever and in clear violation of the Ukrainian Constitution, which no longer matters. And in the face of this, the Biden’s administration has said nothing. Not one word. Instead, they continue to push to send Zelenskyy more tax dollars.”

[It seems] Carlson is absolutely right. The president, in violation of Ukrainian laws, imposed sanctions against Ukrainian bishops and then revoked the Ukrainian citizenship of some other bishops, despite the fact that this clearly contradicts the constitution. COVID Lab Leak Theory Blown Wide Open as Report Exposes ‘Reckless’ U.S.-Funded Wuhan Tests

A damning report has added weight to the theory that COVID-19 originated from a lab leak in Wuhan after a watchdog claimed US-sponsored virus experiments in China were not effectively monitored. An audit by the US Office of Inspector General has called out the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for failing to properly review whether lab tests underway in Wuhan involved pathogens had the potential to spark a pandemic.

The federal audit examined three US taxpayer-funded research grants. They went towards NIH-supported research to understand naturally occurring bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which had funds sent via a sub-award from the NIH grantee called EcoHealth Alliance.

But the report has blasted the NIH, the US’s medical research agency, for failing to ‘effectively monitor or take timely action to address EcoHealth’s compliance with federal laws.

The audit also found that both NIH and EcoHealth also failed to “understand the nature of the research conducted, identify potential problem areas, and take corrective action”.

NASA Astronaut Says Science ‘Doesn’t Contradict’ Christianity

A former NASA astronaut said he believes the study of nature and science are intertwined with Scripture at the opening of a new exhibit at the Museum of the Bible about the Good Book’s role in the relationship between science and Christianity.

Jeff Williams, a retired NASA astronaut who traveled to space on four separate occasions, told The Christian Post during a visit to the exhibit, titled “Scripture and Science: Our Universe, Ourselves, Our Place” that he spent 534 days in space from 2000 to 2016. . .

Williams, who has been heavily involved in scientific research relating to astronomical studies for roughly 26 years, said the new exhibit reaffirmed his belief that science goes hand-in-hand with Christianity, each complimenting the other.

“Science does not contradict Christianity. There is no contradiction. The contradiction comes into your philosophy going into your science,” said Williams. “And your philosophy acknowledges a God that has either revealed Himself specifically in the scriptures of the Bible or your philosophy discounts or doesn’t allow a God. Then, you have to explain the existence of everything by chance over time.” . . .

“Many of the scientists in the age of science — who we all read about in our textbooks about the laws of physics and chemistry — were believers first. They were theologians first. People like Kepler and Newton and Faraday and Maxwell, and many others. JK Rowling’s Latest Statement Strikes at the Heart of Trans Identity

Just when you thought J.K. Rowling couldn’t be a bigger supporter of real women, she went viral for an epic defense of our sex shared to Twitter on Wednesday.

“Men defining what a woman is, what women should and shouldn’t fear, what women should and shouldn’t say, what rights women should be fine with giving up and, of course, what constitutes ‘real’ misogyny: get a bloody mirror. That’s real misogyny, looking right back at you,” Rowling wrote to her almost 14 million followers.

In my opinion, it is impossible to refute a single thing that Rowling said in the tweet, which raked in more than 50,000 likes in just a few hours. So much of the transgender movement depends on men choosing how to define what a woman is … and it’s revolting.
