Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell Hospitalized

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday evening after falling during a dinner.

“This evening, Leader McConnell tripped at a local hotel during a private dinner,” a spokesperson for McConnell said. “He has been admitted to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.”

No other information was provided. The 81-year-old senator is a polio survivor and has, at times, had issues with balance and sometimes needs to use rails to assist him in walking.

In 2019, McConnell suffered a fractured shoulder after he tripped and fell at his home in Kentucky.

McConnell’s hospitalization comes as Sens. John Fetterman (D-PA) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) have both been hospitalized in recent weeks. (Read more from “Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell Hospitalized” HERE)
