In July 1944, 44 delegates from Allied countries came together during World War II in Bretton Wood, New Hampshire. The goal? Devise an international currency system to manage foreign exchange that would disadvantage no country and effectively facilitate post-war rebuilding and commerce. The outcome: The U.S. greenback would be the world’s reserve currency.

It has been almost 80 years since, and all nations have been better off with a United States dollar-dominated world. World gross domestic product (GDP) in 1940 was $7.81 trillion. For 2023, the world GDP is expected to be $112.6 trillion. That is an increase of 1,441 percent. Billions of people have been lifted out of poverty because of this.

China is working overtime to disrupt the dollar-dominated world economy. The significance of the dollar losing its premier position cannot be overstated. The Biden administration should not overlook this.

Most Americans may be unaware of crucial transactions occurring around the globe recently. And who could blame them? All the corporate media’s main headlines have been over the now-public indictment of former President Donald Trump, over factually weak allegations involving hush-money payments to a porn star.

The indictment of a former president is a crossing-of-the-Rubicon moment in American history. But displacing the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, as China and Russia have both made known is their objective, has analogous ramifications for the world. But while the world watches Trump’s indictment, they are missing China’s transactions with some of our major allies and trading partners in the yuan. GOP Senators Report Second Lab Leak From Wuhan Institute of Virology

A multi-year investigation from Republicans on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee found a “preponderance of circumstantial evidence” that COVID-19 emerged from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) through at least one leak.

The HELP Committee report, obtained by the Daily Caller ahead of its official Tuesday release, provides “a significant amount of evidence to disprove the theory” that COVID-19 emerged from the Huanan seafood market, Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall told reporters. It emphasizes that an accidental leak, brought on by unsafe laboratory conditions, is the most likely origin of COVID-19. The report also notes that Chinese Communist Party officials engaged in a systematic coverup that delayed the world’s response to the virus by weeks, if not months.

China’s vaccine development timeline suggests multiple leaks from WIV, according to the full report. Professor Zhou Yusen, a People’s Liberation Army doctor who mysteriously disappeared and died in 2020, filed for the first COVID-19 vaccine patent in February 2020. His development of the vaccine would have taken “at least two to three months,” according the report, signaling a start date of no later than November 2019. China asserts that COVID-19 was first detected on December 8, 2019.

“The virus is circulating in November. They’re closing schools in November and December,” Marshall noted. “The theory is there is an initial lab leak. They’re able to contain it, but they start developing the vaccine.”

Trump Could Be Eyeing This Woman for VP

Former President Donald Trump may consider someone like Republican New York Rep. Elise Stefanik to be his vice presidential pick, Trump insiders told the Daily Caller.

Stefanik fits the profile of characteristics Trump’s team will be looking for in a VP. She’s rallied behind him in his impeachment proceedings and the New York indictment, and was the first member of GOP leadership to endorse him for president — throwing her weight behind his candidacy before Trump announced it himself. Her commitment could lead Trump to choose her on a basis of loyalty, which those close to Trump say is the most desired quality in a VP.

“Loyalty. That’s the necessary characteristic of anyone who wants to be VP. President Trump and the movement was dragged down by disloyalty in the White House,” a source close to Trump said.

The Caller granted anonymity to some sources familiar with Trump’s thinking to allow them to speak openly on a sensitive matter.

Oregon’s Ban on Christians Adopting Violates the First Amendment — And Good Sense

Christians have a long history of caring for children in need. The Christian apologist St. Basil the Great opened what is regarded as one of the first orphanages in the fourth century. He dedicated a wing of his monastery to raising and educating orphans where the monastics acted as “surrogate parents.” And here, in what would later become America, some of the first orphanages were founded in the early 18th century by Catholic nuns and Lutherans.

Jessica is a mother of five children, a part-time ultrasound technician, and a devout Christian. She’s also a widow. Her late husband died in a car wreck several years ago. Then, after hearing a broadcast about one man’s adoption story, she felt convicted. The Bible describes God as a Father to the fatherless and a protector of widows. He had provided for her. Now she felt called to extend that same love to a child in need.

But when Jessica applied to Oregon’s Department of Human Services, the state put her through an ideological litmus test — one that ferrets out people of faith who disagree with the state’s views on the metaphysical differences between men and women. . .

Specifically, state regulations require prospective caregivers to demonstrate that they will “accept” and “support” a child’s sexual orientation and so-called gender identity and expression. This means caregivers must agree to use preferred pronouns, take their children to events such as LGBT pride parades, and even take young children to receive hormone shots as part of what the left calls “gender transition.” When Jessica explained that she would love any child, but she just couldn’t do anything that went against her Christian faith, the state turned her away. According to Oregon, people with traditional religious beliefs about our sexual differences are unfit to care for children.

This policy violates the First Amendment. It categorically excludes entire religious communities from the adoption and foster-care process, violating our constitutional protections for religious liberty. It also violates our rights to free speech by compelling Jessica to affirm by word and deed her beliefs in the state’s ideology. UN-Backed Report Suggests Normalizing Pedophilia, Decriminalizing All Sexual Activity

A United Nations-backed report published last month suggests global leaders normalize pedophilia by allowing children to legally decide on engaging in sexual activities with adults.

Wrapped inside a human-rights-based analysis on the impact of criminal laws proscribing sexual and reproductive health rights, consensual sexual activity, and gender ideology the International Committee of Jurists (ICJ), UNAIDS and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) published the report — which calls for offenses related to “sex, drug use, HIV, sexual and reproductive health, homelessness and poverty” to be decriminalized.

“Sexual conduct involving persons below the domestically prescribed minimum age of consent to sex may be consensual in fact, if not in law,” the Geneva-based ICJ wrote.

Authors of the report further advise lawyers, judges, and law enforcement to consider “the rights and capacity of persons under 18 years of age to make decisions about engaging in consensual sexual conduct and their right to be heard in matters concerning them.”

Disneyland Will Host First Ever Pride Nite During ‘After Dark’

Disneyland announced late last week that the California-based theme park will host its first-ever Pride Nites as part of the park’s “After Dark” series in June.

The LGBTQIA+ event — dubbed “Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite” — will be the first of its kind to be held in the self-described “happiest place on earth” and will extend for two nights, June 13th and June 15th.

“The first-ever Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite is coming to @Disneyland during Pride Month in June,” Disney tweeted from the brand account. “This separately ticketed event celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and allies will have themed entertainment, Disney characters, specialty menu items & more.”

A report from ABC News laid out some of the entertainment attendees could expect to take part in during those events, including but not limited to “Pride Night Cavalcade, an Ohana Dance Party in Tomorrowland featuring Stitch, a Pride Night Dance Club at the Rivers of America and a country line dancing event at the Golden Horseshoe.”

Trump Explains What It Was Like During ‘Scam’ Arraignment: ‘I’m There to Win an Election’

Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively that while he was going through the “scam” arraignment in Manhattan, after District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted him, he thought the proceeding was “very unfair” and “very unfortunate.”

Asked during an exclusive interview here after his speech on Friday night to the National Rifle Association (NRA) annual gathering what it was like going through that arraignment, Trump explained that he understands it is entirely political and that he was focused on winning the election the entire time.

“I thought it was very unfair. It was very unfortunate,” Trump said. “I try to not think about what was going through my mind. You know, you’re there to do a thing and I’m there to win an election. I had no idea it was going to drive me even higher. We were doing very well in the polls before that but normally that doesn’t drive you higher it drives you lower sometimes somewhat but sometimes a lot lower. It drove us a lot higher. I think people see it for what it is: It’s a scam. They’re willing to do that. That’s destroying our country, that kind of stuff. That’s old Soviet Union kind of tactics what they would do. I think it’s a disgrace they are allowed to do it.”

This interview was Trump’s second since his indictment and arraignment. His first interview, with Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, touched on this topic briefly but focused mostly on foreign policy and the threats of nuclear war. This interview represents the deepest and most in-depth Trump has gone outside of speeches in reacting to what it was like getting indicted and then arraigned in Manhattan.

Trump added, too, that it is his belief that Democrat President Joe Biden is behind the entire thing—and that the White House is running everything. Trump pointed to the fact that Bragg’s office onboarded former senior Department of Justice (DOJ) official Matthew Colangelo late last year—someone who has spent years targeting Trump in his role at the DOJ and previously in his role in the New York Attorney General’s office. Twitter CEO Elon Musk recently claimed in an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson that the U.S. government had access to the private messages of all Twitter users.

The Hill reports that Twitter CEO Elon Musk shockingly asserted that the U.S. government has “full access” to users’ private direct messages on the social media platform during a recent in-depth interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson. The multibillionaire businessman talked about his grave concerns regarding the potential risks of artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on the future of humanity while expressing his shock at learning the extent of government surveillance.

Musk discussed his response to learning that the government had access to Twitter during the conversation. “The degree to which government agencies effectively had full access to everything that was going on on Twitter blew my mind,” Musk told Carlson. “I was not aware of that.” Carlson pressed Musk on whether this also applied to direct messages, and Musk responded with a firm “Yes.”

Musk, who recently founded the artificial intelligence firm X.AI, went into more detail about his concerns with regard to the most recent advancements in AI technology. He emphasized that AI is far more dangerous than problems like poorly managed aircraft design or production maintenance, or subpar car production, and that it has the potential to destroy civilization. By Popular Mechanics. Geoffrey Hinton has been working on artificial intelligence for over 40 years. Now, as we are watching the technology rapidly evolve, he tells CBS News there’s cause for concern.

Regarding the odds of AI wiping out humanity, Hinton says it’s “not inconceivable, that’s all I’ll say.”

Don’t panic just yet, though. That potential—even if it’s only “not inconceivable”—to wipe out humanity doesn’t lie with AI along the lines of ChatGPT. It references what is known as “general artificial intelligence,” which is the kind where AI can truly act on its own accord.

“Until quite recently, I thought it was going to be like 20 to 50 years before we have general purpose AI,” Hinton tells CBS News. “And now I think it may be 20 years or less. That’s an issue, right? We have to think hard about how you control that.”

So, according to Hinton, there’s still time to work things out before we need to worry about causing our own demise—even if the tech is evolving faster than anticipated. At the moment, he is more concerned about how we manage a world-changing technology than he is about a potential AI-induced end to humanity. Hinton says that a handful of companies or governments could wield incredible amounts of power with AI technology in their hands. Joe Rogan Just Issued a Warning About Artificial Intelligence — After a Fake Version of His Podcast Was Created 100% Through AI Technology

By Yahoo Finance. Controversial podcaster Joe Rogan has issued a warning about artificial intelligence after a fake — but very realistic — version of his popular podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ was published online.

The fictional episode — generated with the help of AI chatbot ChatGPT — was published on YouTube on April 4.

It depicts a conversation between Joe Rogan and Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, with a disclaimer that the “ideas and opinions expressed in the podcast are not reflective of [their actual] thoughts.”

“Let me tell you folks, this is some next-level stuff we’ve got going on here today,” the AI-generated Joe Rogan says. “Every single word of this podcast has been generated with the help of ChatGPT…I am not the real Joe Rogan… this is purely fiction.”

The real-life Rogan was ill at ease after the episode dropped. He tweeted: “This is going to get very slippery, kids.”

No Evidence Face Masks Protected Vulnerable From COVID, Health Officials Admit

There is not enough evidence to suggest medical-grade face masks protect vulnerable people from Covid, health officials have admitted.

A rapid review report published by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) investigated if high-quality masks, such as the N95, KN95 and FFP2 coverings, protect clinically vulnerable people in the community from catching Covid.

However, the report was unable to find a single piece of scientific research which had usable data.

“The review did not identify any studies for inclusion, and so could provide no evidence to answer the research question,” the authors state. “No studies matching the inclusion criteria were found, so no evidence could be presented.”

The rapid review looked at 4,371 studies specifically about Covid but there were none that examined the effectiveness of N95 and equivalent face masks as wearer protection against Covid-19 when used in the community by people at higher risk of becoming seriously ill.
