DA Investigator Accidentally Shoots Herself in Courthouse Bathroom

A Fulton County investigator is recovering after investigators say they accidentally shot themselves while on duty Friday at the courthouse.

SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene just minutes after the 10 a.m. shot was fired at the Fulton County Courthouse in Downtown Atlanta. FOX 5 sawthe injured investigator leaving the courthouse in an ambulance.

According to authorities, the investigator with the Fulton County District Attorney’s office accidentally fired a shot, hitting herself in the leg.

Sources close to the probe tell FOX 5 the female investigator shot herself in the leg inside the fourth-floor handicap accessible bathroom.

“It was an accidental shooting, so there is no intent to commit a crime. Unfortunately for the investigator, she was the one who was shot,” former prosecutor Ash Joshi remarked. (Read more from “DA Investigator Accidentally Shoots Herself in Courthouse Bathroom” HERE)
