YouTube Punishes Channel for ‘Harmful and Dangerous’ Video Quoting Hillary Clinton

YouTube recently demonetized a video it had previously approved consisting entirely of quotes of Republicans and Democrats alleging election vulnerabilities and crimes, the video’s creator confirmed to The Federalist Tuesday. Matt Orfalea showed The Federalist a June 7 email from YouTube saying his video was “suitable for all advertisers” after “manually reviewing.”

A YouTube spokesman Tuesday, however, told The Federalist the video was just a few months later banned from providing its creator ad revenue because it contained “demonstrably false claims that could significantly undermine participation or trust in an electoral process.” The spokesman did not answer The Federalist’s question of exactly what information in the video was “demonstrably false.”

With no other notification from YouTube, on Aug. 21, Orfalea found a notice inside his channel saying a YouTube reviewer had decided the video depicted or encouraged “harmful or dangerous acts” and presented “situations that may endanger participants.” The video consists entirely of quotes from Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, a few TV reporters, and some other Republicans and Democrats publicly contesting election results from 2016 to 2020.

YouTube demonetized and then deleted this same video before, in November 2022. At that time, YouTube also demonetized and deleted similar videos on Orfalea’s channel, including videos that weren’t public, says Racket journalist Matt Taibbi, who commissioned the videos. For these transgressions, YouTube gave Orfalea’s channel a strike, three of which result in a permanent ban from the platform.

Joe Biden can’t even commemorate the 9/11 Attacks properly. The president won’t be at the White House or travel to any of the three sites targeted in our nation’s deadliest terror attack, a break from tradition. Instead, Joe will be in Alaska, part of his return to his trip to Asia which begins Thursday. Who thought this was a good idea?

On the 22nd anniversary of the attack, Joe Biden won’t be at the White House, Pentagon, New York City, or Shanksville, Pennsylvania. He’ll be at a military base in Alaska to mark the occasion, while also making yet another political unforced error (via Fox News):

On Monday, Sept. 11, Biden will travel to a military base in Alaska where he will mark the 22nd anniversary of the attacks in a memorial ceremony with members of the military and their families, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement Monday.

The White House explained that the president will travel to Alaska to mark the somber occasion after his Sept. 10 trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, where he will meet with Vietnamese General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other leaders to discuss technological innovation and climate change in an effort to bolster the two nations’ relationship.

Biden’s plans for Sept. 11 represent the first time since the attacks that a president has opted against observing the occasion at either the White House or any of the three attack sites.

Secretary Blinken’s Latest Ukraine Visit Just Gave the Whole Game Away

Secretary of State Antony Blinken dropped by Ukraine this week, assuring top Ukrainian officials that America’s commitment to their struggle is ironclad. Another aid package was promised despite Maui residents needing more funds to rebuild their communities after the worst wildfire in American history in over a century tore through the island, killing over 100 people.

Yet, the latest package isn’t arms and ammunition. We’re subsidizing the rebuilding of their energy infrastructure, which Blinken outlined during his trip. As Katie noted, this is nation-building (via WSJ):

Secretary of State Antony Blinken signaled Washington’s long-term support for Ukraine’s fight to expel Russian invaders, traveling to Kyiv in an effort to reassure the country’s leaders as they pursue a slow-going and difficult counteroffensive against entrenched enemy forces.

Blinken’s visit, the most high-profile trip by a U.S. official since President Biden went in February, appeared designed to buoy Kyiv and Western allies and to send a message to the Kremlin that Washington doesn’t intend to back down.

Blinken used the unannounced visit to pledge more than $1 billion in additional aid for Ukraine. The financial package includes funds for equipment to clear mines laid by Russia, obstacles that have impeded Ukraine’s progress, as well as $203 million to root out graft in Ukrainian institutions. Kyiv replaced its defense minister last week after allegations of corruption against officials in his department.

Continued support from Washington, by far Ukraine’s biggest backer, is seen as vital to any Ukrainian victory against Russia. The U.S. has provided Ukraine more than $40 billion in military aid since the start of the war.

Judge Sides With Biden Admin and Orders Gov. Abbott to Remove Floating Border Barrier

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott was dealt a blow in court on Wednesday when a judge sided with the Biden administration and ordered a floating border barrier to be temporarily removed.

Abbott had ordered the 1,000-foot line of buoys as a deterrent against illegal aliens seeking entry into the U.S. by wading or swimming across the Rio Grande.

“Governor Abbott announced that he was not ‘asking for permission’ for Operation Lone Star, the anti-immigration program under which Texas constructed the floating barrier,” wrote federal District Judge David A. Ezra in his ruling.

A Little Lost? White House Cuts Video as Biden Awkwardly Wanders Out of Medal of Honor Ceremony

The White House video of the Medal of Honor ceremony cuts off as President Joe Biden wanders off stage before the ceremony concludes.

Biden appeared to wander off the stage and abruptly leave the ceremony after awarding the Medal of Honor Tuesday. The White House recording of the event concludes after Biden walks down the aisle prior to the ceremony’s conclusion.

The White House planned to have Biden exit the ceremony once there was a pause in the programming in an effort to avoid contact with attendees after he was potentially exposed to COVID-19, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said during a Wednesday press briefing.

“The president took off his mask, as I said he would, to deliver incredibly powerful remarks about this Captain, Capt. [Larry] Taylor and what he did in service to our nation, and he wanted to honor the captain,” Jean-Pierre told reporters. “And for a brief time afterward he also did have his mask on, as you just laid out. And he left as planned. As it was planned he left when there was a pause in the program in order to minimize his close contact with attendees who were about to participate in a reception.”

Biden Admin Hosted ‘Indigenous Knowledge’ Seminars That Warned Scientists About ‘Disrespecting’ Spirits: Report

President Joe Biden’s administration hosted “Indigenous Knowledge” seminars, including one where a speaker admonished scientist attendees about “disrespecting” knowledge provided by “spirits,” according to a video uncovered by the Washington Free Beacon.

The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) told dozens of federal agencies to adopt “Indigenous Knowledge” for “research, policies, and decision making,” in a November 2022 memo. In April, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) hosted a webinar titled “Incorporating Indigenous Knowledges into Federal Research and Management,” in which a speaker warned scientists about “disrespecting” indigenous knowledge, including “spirits.”

“When you ask for knowledge and you take it and use it in a way that you didn’t intend or you misuse it, you’re not only disrespecting that individual that you sought that knowledge from,” Traditional Ecological Knowledge Outreach Specialist Melonee Montano said in the April webinar attended by scientists. “You’re disrespecting the teachers that they obtained the knowledge from. You’re disrespecting those spirits that may have brought that knowledge to them through a dream.”

This Ivy League Was Just Named the Worst School for Free Speech

Harvard University has been named 2023’s worst school for free speech by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE). The organization recently released its annual college free speech rankings, in which it dubbed the state of free speech at the Ivy League school “abysmal.” Harvard’s rating of zero out of 100 is a full 11 points lower than its closest woke rival.

“Harvard is consistently ranked one of the best universities in the United States. But FIRE frequently finds itself in the odd position of giving this all-star academic school failing grades,” FIRE stated in a press release published Wednesday. . .

Harvard received a free speech ranking of zero on a 100-point scale, putting the Ivy League university a full 11 points behind the second worst school.

“What’s more, granting Harvard a score of 0.00 is generous,” the organization added. “Its actual score is -10.69, more than six standard deviations below the average and more than two standard deviations below the second-to-last school in the rankings, its Ivy League counterpart, the University of Pennsylvania.”

And Harvard’s score has been plummeting significantly over the years. FIRE explained that in 2020, the Ivy League institution ranked 46 out of 55 schools, in 2021, it ranked 130 out of 154 schools, and in last year, it ranked 170 out of 203 schools. Federal Prosecutors Intend to Indict Hunter Biden Before End of Month

Special Counsel David Weiss plans to indict Hunter Biden before the end of the month, according to a new court filing.

“[T]he Speedy Trial Act requires that the Government obtain the return of an indictment by a grand jury by Friday, Sept 29, 2023, at the earliest,” Weiss wrote Wednesday.

“The Government intends to seek the return of an indictment in this case before that date,” he said.

The filing was made upon a court order to provide a status update on the case on or before September 6, 2023.

Enrique Tarrio Sentenced to Decades Behind Bars, the Longest J6 Sentence to Date

Former Proud Boys chairman Enrique Tarrio was sentenced Tuesday to 22 years behind bars in connection to the breach at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The sentence marks the longest to date in the Department of Justice’s handling of J6.

Tarrio, the son of Cuban immigrants, was found guilty of seditious conspiracy by a federal jury in Washington, D.C., back in May, and then sentenced by Judge Timothy Kelly. The former Proud Boy was facing 33 years behind bars.

“I am not a political zealot. Inflicting harm or changing the results of the election was not my goal,” Tarrio said before sentencing. “Please show me mercy. Elementary School Forces Kids to Mask up Again

A Maryland elementary school has reinstated its face mask mandate after several students tested positive for COVID.

Rosemary Hills Elementary School just north of Washington, D.C., is requiring the third grade class and school staff to wear masks for 10 days after “three or more” third graders tested positive for COVID. . .

The ten-day period ends on September 11, according to a school district spokesperson.
