Epstein Victim Who Testified Against Ghislaine Maxwell Has Died—and Her Family Wants Answers

Carolyn Andriano, a victim of sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein whose testimony was crucial to putting away his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, has died.

There was no obituary or funeral service after she died earlier this year, and police in West Palm Beach, Florida, opened an investigation into her death. After The Daily Beast reached out for comment, police spokesman Mike Jachles told us that the investigation was concluding and that Carolyn died of an accidental overdose.

The 36-year-old mother-of-five had planned to start a new chapter in North Carolina, at a new house with a fireplace and half-acre lot with a chicken coop. Carolyn and her husband, John Pitts, had purchased the property just weeks before she was found unresponsive in a West Palm Beach hotel room on May 23.

Before her death, “she was ecstatic,” Carolyn’s mother, Dorothy Groenert, told The Daily Beast. “She was all set up for a whole new lifestyle.” . . .

Trump Calls Federal Gag Order in DC Trial ‘So Unconstitutional’ and Says He Will Appeal

Former President Donald Trump blasted a limited gag order a federal judge issued against him Monday in the Washington, D.C., criminal election interference case.

Trump claimed the gag order was “so unconstitutional” and that his team would appeal the order during a campaign event in Adel, Iowa, Monday afternoon and just mere hours after his campaign spokesperson called the order “an absolute abomination.”

“Today a judge put on a gag order. I’ll be the only politician in history that runs with a gag order where I’m not allowed to criticize people. Can you imagine this?” Trump said. “Do you believe this? I’m not allowed to criticize people, so we’ll see. We’ll appeal it and we’ll see but it’s so unconstitutional.”

Trump again compared himself to the infamous American gangster Al Capone before bragging about his increasing support in the wake of four criminal cases and the 91 indictments he faces.

“He was only indicted one time. I’ve been indicted four times,” Trump said, comparing himself to Capone. “And in addition, I have the civil trials that are all coming out of the Justice Department. 21 Species Declared Extinct and Removed From Endangered List

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service declared 21 species extinct on Monday, nearly doubling the number of species delisted under the Endangered Species Act due to their eradication.

The list, which contains 10 species of birds, two fish species, eight species of mussels, and one mammal, contains a majority of organisms that were originally listed under the ESA in the 1970s and ‘80s. According to the agency, most of the species were in low numbers and were likely already extinct at the time of listing.

“Federal protection came too late to reverse these species’ decline, and it’s a wake-up call on the importance of conserving imperiled species before it’s too late,” agency Director Martha Williams said in a statement. “As we commemorate 50 years of the Endangered Species Act this year, we are reminded of the Act’s purpose to be a safety net that stops the journey toward extinction. U.S. Senator Identifies ‘Gravest Terrorist Threat’ to America

Joe Biden’s “open border,” the result of his decision on taking office to trash the southern border security programs instituted by President Donald Trump, is the “gravest terrorist threat” to the United States, according to a senator.

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said in a report at the Washington Examiner that there have been thousands of illegal aliens from “special interest” nations, those with ties to terrorist groups, arrested at that border since Biden took office.

Cotton said that means undoubtedly terrorists already have arrived in the U.S.

“It only took 19 al-Qaida operatives to kill nearly 3,000 Americans on September 11, 2001,” said Cotton, of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Criminal Justice and Counterterrorism. “Many, many times that number of known terrorists have surely crossed our southern border since Joe Biden took office. Trump Says He Would Cut Off Funding to ‘Palestinian Terrorists,’ Pledges to Stand With Israel ‘100%’

Former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Iowa on Monday touted his Middle East foreign policy record and contrasted it with the instability under President Joe Biden just two years later.

“Making America Great Again must begin with making America strong again and making America safe again,” Trump said at a rally in Clive, Iowa, less than 100 days from the Iowa Caucus.

“Under my leadership, the world’s thugs, villains, killers, and savages were in retreat and running scared—all because you had a president who stood up for America, who stood up for Israel, and who stood up for Judeo-Christian civilization,” he said.

He went over his four years in office, which he said created “peace in the Middle East”:

In four short years, I obliterated the ISIS territorial caliphate. I terminated its founder and leader, Al Baghdadi. I annihilated the senior ranks of Al Qaeda. I eliminated Iran’s terrorist mastermind Kassem Solemani, who was killing our soldiers by the thousands and killing everyone else. I withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal, crushed the murderous Iranian regime with sanctions, and starved Hamas, Hezbollah, and other Iranian proxies of funding and support.

Report: Biden’s HHS Imposes Gender Identity Pronoun Mandate on Employees (VIDEO)

President Joe Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is ordering its employees to defy biological reality by referring to transgender coworkers by their “preferred pronouns.”

The HHS, which employs approximately 80,000 people in the United States and abroad, imposed its new “Gender Identity and Non-Discrimination Guidance” late last week, which outlines “employee rights and protections related to gender identity,” according to an alleged HHS email sent to employees and obtained by Catholic News Agency (CNA).

“All employees should be addressed [by] the names and pronouns they use to describe themselves,” the HHS email reads.

The HHS also posted a video to YouTube — designated as “unlisted” — in which HHS Secretary Andrea Palm says the policy allows colleagues “to show up every day as their whole selves.”

Study: Long COVID Could Be the Result of This Chemical Shift

As the world faces the possibility of another seasonal spike in cases of the coronavirus, medical experts are still pondering the cause of long COVID.

The mysterious ailment causes a range of symptoms long after the COVID-19 infection has cleared, such as fatigue, loss of sexual desire, loss of smell and taste, chest pain and chronic cough.

Scientists don’t yet know for certain what causes long COVID, the catchall term for about 200 widely varying symptoms.

But researchers at the University of Pennsylvania have suggested that reduced levels of serotonin — a neurotransmitter that affects mood, memory, sleep, digestion, blood clotting and sexual desire — might explain the lingering symptoms.

Israeli Ground Offensive in Gaza Delayed Over New Alleged Plot: Report

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has reportedly delayed its ground operation into Gaza for a variety of reasons including the belief that an Iranian-backed terrorist group might be planning a surprise attack the moment Israel deploys its forces.

The news comes after more than 1,400 Israelis were murdered in one of the largest terrorist attacks in history last weekend that was carried out by Palestinian terrorists in Hamas.

The Jerusalem Post reported that Israeli Military sources told the newspaper that there is growing fear that the Lebanese-based terrorist group Hezbollah was waiting for the IDF to get fully immersed in fighting inside Gaza before launching a full-scale war against Israel from the north.

Hezbollah has launched small-scale attacks against Israel in recent days which have been easily defeated by Israeli forces. However, the military sources cautioned this could be part of “an elaborate fake-out to lure the IDF into a false sense of security, similar to what Hamas pulled off in the south,” the report said.

Iran Warns ‘Preemptive Action’ Against Israel Expected in Coming Hours by Resistance Front

Iranian officials warned late Monday of possible “preemptive action” against Israel by the “resistance front” ahead of the Jewish nation’s imminent ground invasion into Gaza.

“The resistance front is capable of waging a long-term war with the enemy [Israel]… in the coming hours, we can expect a preemptive action by the resistance front,” Iran Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said in a live broadcast to state TV.

Iran has denied any involvement in Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel on Oct. 7 which killed 1,400 people, however, Tehran has long backed Hamas and supported the plight of Palestinians since 1979.

“Leaders of the Resistance will not allow the Zionist regime to take any action in Gaza. … All options are open and we cannot be indifferent to the war crimes committed against the people of Gaza,” Amirabdollahian added, in reference to a meeting he had with Hezbollah leaders Saturday. Man Slapped With $1.4m Speeding Ticket for Driving 35 Mph Over Limit

A man caught speeding down a Georgia freeway was bewildered when cops slapped him with a $1.4 million ticket last month.

Connor Cato was driving home through Savannah on Sept. 2 when the Georgia State Patrol caught him doing 90 in a 55-mile-per-hour zone, he admitted to WSAV-TV.

While he expected a hefty fine, Cato was astounded when he was handed the seven-figure charge.

He called the court, assuming the fee was a typo, but reportedly was told he either had to pay the sum or appear in court.

“‘$1.4 million,’ the lady told me on the phone. I said, ‘This might be a typo’ and she said, ‘No, sir, you either pay the amount on the ticket or you come to court on Dec. 21 at 1:30 p.m.,’” he told the local outlet.
