Chris Christie Excuses Antisemitism as Reaction to Trump

Former New Jersey governor and 2024 Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie appeared to excuse antisemitism as a natural reaction to the “intolerant” rhetoric and actions of his main rival, current frontrunner former President Donald Trump.

As Breitbart News reported:

Anchor Dana Bash said, “I want to ask about the spike in hate against Jews in the United States. You told The New York Times that you believe Trump has contributed to this.”

Christie said, “When you show intolerance towards everyone, which is what he does, you give permission as a leader for others to have their intolerance come out. Intolerance towards anyone encourages intolerance towards everyone. That’s exactly what’s going on here. That’s been going on for some time, not just with Donald Trump, but with university professors on some of our most elite campuses in this country, with university administrators and presidents who have been unwilling to stand up against antisemitism on their campuses, most particularly. There should be no campus in this country where a Jewish student is afraid to leave their dorm, a Jewish student is afraid go to their classes, a Jewish student is afraid to go to have a meal in the dining hall. That is outrageous, and it’s wrong.”

Christie added, “In the end, look, I think that there have been a lot of people who contributed to it. I believe Donald Trump’s intolerant language and conduct gives others permission to act the same.”

MSM Accuses House Speaker Mike Johnson of Sharing Views with Bin Laden, Posing a Greater Threat to Democracy

In a recent essay from Salon titled “Worry less about TikTok and Bin Laden — fret more that Mike Johnson shares the terrorist’s view,” Senior Writer Amanda Marcotte accuses House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) of holding views similar to Osama bin Laden, positing that Johnson presents a more significant threat to American democracy than the infamous terrorist leader. The article contends that Johnson’s expressions of what the author characterizes as “America-hating rhetoric” mirror sentiments found in bin Laden’s messages to America.

Marcotte asserts that the parallels between Johnson and terrorist leader bin Laden extend beyond mere rhetoric, citing Johnson’s rejection of American secularism and his dedication to Christianity. The essay accuses Johnson of sympathizing with the January 6th Capitol riot, describing him as a leader of “Trump’s coup effort” and alleging that he authorized the release of Capitol riot security footage to support a false narrative favoring the insurrectionists.

Marcotte’s outrageous op-ed emphasizes leftist’s extreme belief that while bin Laden orchestrated the 9/11 attacks, Johnson, with his influence and political power, poses a more substantial threat to American democracy. Marcotte’s disturbing parallels assert that the Republican Party, particularly figures like Johnson, is attempting to fulfill the objectives that bin Laden initiated, accusing them of undermining American democracy through disinformation and propaganda:

Johnson, like bin Laden, rejects American secularism, saying it’s a “misnomer” to believe in the separation of church and state. His career has been devoted to forcing his brand of Christianity on all Americans, from taxpayer funding for exhibits that claim dinosaurs rode Noah’s ark to laws prohibiting sexual behavior that doesn’t adhere to his rigid fundamentalist rules. He repeatedly insists that, despite their words to the contrary, the Founding Fathers wanted religion to guide government policy.

“The main difference of opinion between the two religious radicals is what flavor of far-right religious oppression they prefer: Christian or Muslim?” she alleges.

CDC Warns of Rising Cases of Skin-Disfiguring Parasite in U.S.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a warning about an increasing incidence of a skin-disfiguring parasite affecting residents in southern states. Leishmaniasis, caused by Leishmania parasites and transmitted through the bites of phlebotomine sand flies, has been identified as a growing concern in the region, with Texas emerging as a hotspot.

According to an NBC News report published on October 20, there were 1,222 positive leishmaniasis cases reported in the U.S. between 2005 and 2019, as per CDC data. Typically associated with travel to tropical or subtropical climates like the Middle East, central Asia, northern Africa, and Latin America, leishmaniasis is now being found in individuals with no history of foreign travel. Of the 86 leishmania samples examined, patients had no documented travel outside the U.S.

Texas, while not exclusively impacted, has seen a majority of reported cases, leading to concerns about the potential endemic nature of the parasite in the state. Cases have also been sporadically detected in Oklahoma and Arizona, with unconfirmed instances in Florida.

Vitaliano Cama, a senior adviser with CDC’s Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria, stated, “We cannot say that it is exclusive to Texas, but from the samples that were submitted to CDC, the majority were from Texas.”

Sandflies, responsible for transmitting the parasite, are prevalent in several southern states characterized by warm temperatures and woodlands. However, Texas is currently the only state obligated to report leishmaniasis cases to its health department, and there is no national requirement for reporting cases to the CDC.

The evolving understanding of leishmaniasis acquired within the U.S. complicates the assessment of the situation. Joshua Lieberman, assistant director of the molecular microbiology clinical laboratory at UW Medicine, noted, “It’s not clear to me whether the true rate of new infections is increasing or we’re just getting better at detecting it, or both.”

Biden Says His Own Diplomacy May Have Triggered Hamas Attack

President Joe Biden said Friday that his own diplomacy may have pushed the terrorist organization Hamas to launch its brutal Oct. 7 attack on Israel which resulted in the raping, kidnapping and murdering of Israeli civilians.

Hamas released its first wave from what is expected to be a total of about 50 hostages Friday, including 13 Israeli civilians as well as 12 Thai nationals, in exchange for a pause in fighting with Israel. Biden gave a brief speech Friday about the release and touted the deal that followed negotiations between U.S., Israeli, Qatari and Egyptian officials. Following his speech, the president was asked what he was hearing from Arab leaders.

“I cannot prove what I’m about to say, but I believe one of the reasons Hamas struck when they did is because they knew I was working very closely with the Saudis and others in the region to bring peace to the region by having recognition of Israel and Israel’s right to exist,” the president said.

During former President Donald Trump’s administration, deals were struck between Israel and several Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East and North Africa to establish formal diplomatic relations. Those countries included Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Sudan and Bahrain. Throughout his presidency, Biden had been working to expand the deal to establish formal recognition between Israel and Saudi Arabia, which has long been a friend of the Palestinian cause.

The president said last month he believes Hamas attacked Israel in an effort to stop Biden from striking a deal with Saudi Arabia, the Associated Press reported. U.S. officials have expressed growing concerns this week over a new outbreak of respiratory illnesses affecting children in northern China. According to NBC News, hospitals in the region are reportedly “overwhelmed with sick children,” as noted by the ProMED reporting system, a publicly available source for emerging disease information.

The outbreak has raised alarm bells, drawing attention from the World Health Organization (WHO). U.S. Ambassador to Japan Rahm Emanuel emphasized the need for transparency, stating, “China’s recent pneumonia outbreak raises serious questions, and the World Health Organization is asking them. It’s time to abandon COVID deception and delays as transparent and timely information saves lives.”

NBC News reported witnessing long lines and crowded waiting rooms at Beijing Children’s Hospital, indicating the severity of the situation. The outbreak comes after the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which originated in Wuhan, China, in late 2019, leading to millions of deaths and widespread global disruptions.

The WHO has been monitoring data since mid-October 2023, revealing an increase in respiratory illnesses among children in northern China. In a statement, the WHO mentioned a rise in outpatient consultations and hospital admissions due to Mycoplasma pneumonia since May, and infections related to RSV, adenovirus, and influenza virus since October. The organization acknowledged that some increases occurred earlier in the season than historically experienced but attributed them to the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, similar to trends observed in other countries.

The history of the COVID-19 pandemic, marked by misinformation and deception from China about the virus’s origins, has heightened skepticism. The WHO itself faced criticism for alleged non-disclosure and attempting to shield China. Global health officials are closely monitoring the situation, emphasizing the imperative for full cooperation from Beijing to ensure public health safety.

Biden Admin Orders Border Agents to Use Preferred Pronouns for Illegal Aliens

The Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is instructing Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents to ask immigrants they encounter for their “preferred pronouns” and to use gender-neutral language while on the job.

The guidance, obtained by the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project and titled “Guide to Facilitating Effective Communication with Individuals who Identify as LGBTQI+,” also tells CBP agents to avoid using certain terms.

“This job aid provides guidance to all CBP employees who interact with the public … including individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming,” the document reads. “This guidance should be used by all CBP employees who encounter members of the public.”

The agency goes on to demand that Customs and Border Patrol agents do not use “‘he, him,’ ‘she her’ pronouns until you have more information about, or provided by, the individual.” CBP agents are also instructed to not use words like “Mr,” “Mrs,” “sir” or “ma’am.”

Former Officer Derek Chauvin, Convicted of Killing George Floyd, Stabbed in Federal Prison

In a shocking turn of events, former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, convicted in the high-profile murder of George Floyd, was stabbed by another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson, Arizona. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, leaving Chauvin seriously injured. The Bureau of Prisons, while confirming the attack, did not disclose the identity of the assailant.

Sources revealed that Chauvin, despite the severity of the attack, was later listed in “stable” condition, and it is expected that he will survive. Prison staff at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson promptly administered “life-saving measures” before Chauvin was transported to the hospital. The attacker also received medical attention.

The FBI has been notified of the incident, and visiting at the facility, housing approximately 380 inmates, has been temporarily suspended. This violent episode comes just a week after the US Supreme Court rejected Chauvin’s appeal of his second-degree murder conviction for the death of George Floyd in May 2020.

Chauvin’s legal team had previously expressed concerns about his safety in prison, advocating for his segregation from the general population due to potential threats. This recent attack adds to the challenges faced by FCI Tucson, which, like other federal prisons, has grappled with staffing shortages and security lapses.

The stabbing also highlights a pattern of high-profile inmate attacks in federal prisons. Notably, disgraced sports doctor Larry Nassar, known for sexually abusing hundreds of gymnasts, was stabbed multiple times in July at a federal prison in Florida.

The Bureau of Prisons Director, Colette Peters, was appointed last year to address widespread issues within the federal prison system, including understaffing, escape incidents, sexual abuse, inmate deaths, and other systemic challenges. The recent attack on Derek Chauvin underscores the urgency of addressing security concerns and ensuring the safety of high-profile inmates within the federal prison system.

Federal Judge Rules that Challenge to Georgia’s Electronic Voting Must Go to Trial

U.S. District Judge Amy Totenberg has ruled that a lawsuit against Georgia’s use of electronic voting machines must go to a non-jury trial in January.

According to 11 Alive News, the federal judge’s ruling will require Georgia’s secretary of state to defend the state’s utilization of electronic voting prior to the upcoming presidential primary election in the state. The lawsuit questions whether Georgia’s current system of computerized voting is safe or whether it is vulnerable to potential hacking incidents.

According to The Associated Press, Totenberg’s recent 135-page ruling stems from a lawsuit that was originally filed by activists in Georgia who want the state to use paper ballots instead of electronic voting machines.

A lawsuit was filed in 2017 against touchscreen voting machines used by the state for 15 years, later modifying to challenge the state’s 2019 election system, claiming it was vulnerable. The state requested a judge’s ruling against the lawsuit, but federal judge Totenberg ruled that there were “material facts in dispute” that required a trial. A bench trial is scheduled for January 9, and both parties are encouraged to work together to resolve the matter.

Bill on Pronoun Mandates: ‘Sex Is an Immutable Biological Trait’

A bill in Florida introduced by Republican state Rep. Ryan Chamberlin tackles pronoun mandates in the workplaces that receive taxpayer funding, essentially prohibiting those employees from being penalized for refusing to use an individual’s preferred pronouns.

Chamberlin, who won his special election in May, introduced HB 599, directly addressing one of the emerging facets of the leftist woke agenda. The bill broadly aims to deal with gender identity in employment relating to government institutions, businesses or non-profit organizations that receive taxpayer funding and essentially protects those employees from being targeted or punished for refusing to use an individual’s personal pronouns in the workplace.

The bill clearly defines sex — a reality the far-left has attempted to dismiss — by making it clear that “it is the policy of the state that a person’s sex is an immutable biological trait and that it is false to ascribe to a person a pronoun that does not correspond to such person’s sex.”

The legislation makes it clear that this does not apply to individuals “born with a genetically or biochemically verifiable disorder of sex development.”

That aside, the legislation clearly states that an employee or contractor shall not be required to use an individual’s “personal pronoun” if it does not correspond to that individual’s biological sex.
