The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday that Taylor disclosed his claim during the news segment, asserting that Trump had expressed a desire to create a mercenary force within the U.S. military, drawing inspiration from Russia’s Wagner group led by Vladimir Putin. Taylor contended that security officials managed to intervene and “shut down these conversations.”

“While I was in the administration, Donald Trump wanted to create his own mercenary force in the United States military,” Taylor stated during the segment. He went on to explain that Trump envisioned a version similar to Russia’s Wagner group. Prosecutors: FBI Found Cocaine Residue on Hunter Biden’s Firearm Pouch

FBI investigators discovered powered cocaine on the firearm pouch Hunter Biden had used to hold the gun he allegedly purchased in October 2018, Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutors said in a Tuesday court filing.

Special counsel David Weiss’ team filed a response motion to Hunter Biden’s selective prosecution claim and described how FBI investigators retrieved the alleged firearm in 2023 and found the alleged cocaine.

“In 2023, FBI investigators pulled sealed evidence from the state police vault to take photographs of the defendant’s firearm. After opening the evidence, FBI investigators observed a white powdery substance on the defendant’s brown leather pouch that had held the defendant’s firearm in October 2018,” the motion reads.

“Based on their training and experience, investigators believed that this substance was likely cocaine and that this evidence would corroborate the messages that investigators had obtained which showed the defendant buying and using drugs in October 2018. An FBI chemist subsequently analyzed the residue and determined that it was cocaine. To be clear, investigators literally found drugs on the pouch where the defendant had kept his gun,” the filing adds.

The court documents, filed on Tuesday, outline how IRS and FBI investigators obtained a search warrant for tax violations related to Biden, leading them to various backup data accounts. The filing underscores that investigators “already obtained” a substantial portion of the laptop data from Apple, including information from Biden’s iCloud account.

The court filings mention that investigators later acquired the physical laptop, which Biden had reportedly left at a computer store. A search warrant was obtained for the laptop, and the results were described as “largely duplicative of information investigators had already obtained from Apple.”

This acknowledgment marks a notable shift in the narrative surrounding Hunter Biden’s laptop, which became a focal point of controversy before the 2020 election. Following the New York Post’s initial report on the laptop, Democratic officials, media outlets, and social media platforms faced backlash, with claims of “Russian disinformation” attempting to discredit the laptop’s contents. A letter from 51 former intelligence officials falsely asserting Russian involvement further fueled the narrative.

Social media giants Facebook and Twitter censored the New York Post’s reporting, and President Joe Biden himself referred to the laptop contents as “Russia disinformation” during his 2020 campaign. However, recent court filings by the DOJ confirm the authenticity of the laptop data, adding a new layer to the ongoing saga.

Despite initial efforts to dismiss the laptop contents as misinformation, the FBI reportedly knew of the authenticity of the laptop’s contents through an interview with Hunter Biden’s former business associate, Tony Bobulinski. Bobulinski confirmed the veracity of the laptop’s contents during an interview with the agency on October 23, 2020.

The DOJ’s recent acknowledgment is part of the response to Hunter Biden’s investigation for federal firearm charges, which his legal team sought to dismiss in December. Biden faces three federal gun charges related to an alleged illegal purchase of a revolver while battling drug addiction. While he pleaded not guilty in October 2023, the charges could carry a potential prison sentence of up to 25 years.

Poll: Donald Trump Dominates Joe Biden in Georgia

Former President Donald Trump has taken the lead over President Joe Biden in Georgia, the latest AJC poll found.

The survey showed Trump, the runaway frontrunner in the Republican primary race, leading the incumbent in the Peach State by eight percentage points — 45 percent to Biden’s 37 percent support.

Another seven percent said they supported an “other candidate,” six percent said they “will not vote,” and six percent said they “don’t know.”

What is more is Trump’s dominance among independent voters in Georgia, leading Biden by double digits — 54 percent to 37 percent.

Further, the AJC poll found that black voters, “the party’s most loyal constituency, are split” over Biden’s job performance. Overall, 62 percent of registered voters disapproved of Biden’s job performance:

Winter Woes: 65% of Americans Hesitant to Buy Electric Cars

As a winter freeze sweeps across the United States, a recent poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports sheds light on the hesitancy of Americans to consider purchasing electric vehicles (EVs). The findings indicate that 65 percent of American adults are unlikely to consider buying an EV for their next car, with 37 percent expressing that they are “not at all likely” to make such a purchase. The poll highlights concerns surrounding the practicality of EVs during adverse weather conditions.

The survey brings attention to the fact that, despite ongoing efforts to promote electric vehicles, a significant majority of Americans remain unconvinced of their viability. Less than 3-in-10 respondents expressed openness to the idea of purchasing an EV for their next vehicle.

Notably, the poll underscores the correlation between income levels and EV consideration. Approximately 52 percent of respondents earning at least $200,000 annually expressed a likelihood of purchasing an EV for their next car, with 33 percent stating that they are very likely to do so. On the contrary, over 7-in-10 working and lower-middle-class Americans, earning between $30,000 to $50,000 annually, revealed that they are not considering buying an EV. Among them, 46 percent specified that they are “not at all likely” to opt for an electric vehicle.

The reluctance towards EVs is exacerbated by recent reports of drivers experiencing difficulties with their electric cars during the winter freeze. In a video streamed to Rumble by Rightside Broadcasting, the 38-year-old Ramaswamy said, in his impassioned populist pitch on behalf of Trump, that the nation is in “a war” that is “between the permanent state and the everyday citizen.” He said the country needs “a commander in chief who will lead us to victory in this war.”

After corralling roughly eight percent of the vote in Iowa, Ramaswamy said Tueaday, “The people of Iowa spoke loud and clear”

“We heard ‘We the People’ last night, and that is why last evening I met my friend here. We met in person, and I told him that I would endorse Donald J. City Council Approves Voting Rights for Minors

The Newark City Council in New Jersey has unanimously voted to grant voting rights to 16- and 17-year-olds in school board elections. The measure, championed by Council President LaMonica McIver, aims to provide representation to minors who, according to McIver, deserve a say in the democratic process.

“We support expanding our democracy and giving our young people the right to vote,” stated McIver after the successful vote.

The decision is based on the premise that 16- and 17-year-olds, who may assume responsibilities like driving, paying taxes, and working, should also have a voice in civic activities. This includes contributing to political campaigns, volunteering, attending political rallies, and participating in the electoral process.

Amidst divided opinions during public discussions, Councilman Lawrence Crump highlighted the maturity of today’s youth, stating that minors are “much more mature, much more advanced” than previous generations.

Councilman Dupre Kelly emphasized the significance of involving young people in building a healthy democracy, stating, “If you don’t utilize young people to help you build it, they will be the ones to tear it down.”

While the majority of the council expressed support for the measure, Councilman Carlos Gonzalez voiced reservations about potential implications, including the possibility of minors running for election. He questioned the arbitrariness of the age limit and expressed concern about a potential slippery slope.

Governor Phil Murphy applauded the decision during his State of the State address, urging the state legislature to pass similar legislation for all local school board elections. Murphy credited the advocacy for minor voting rights to young activists Anjali Krishnamurti and Yenjay Hu, co-founders of Vote16NJ, a state initiative of the national campaign Vote16USA.

The move to grant voting rights to minors is part of a larger national initiative supported by organizations like Generation Citizen, a progressive nonprofit funded by foundations such as the Ford Foundation, Bezos Family Foundation, the Jennifer and Jonathan Allan Soros Foundation, and Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
