Ex-Star Wars Actress Files Lawsuit Against Disney and Lucasfilm

Former Star Wars actress Gina Carano announced Tuesday that she is suing the Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm roughly three years after she was fired over social media posts she had made.

Carano explained that she was contacted by a lawyer from X who helped her move forward with this lawsuit. X owner Elon Musk announced last year that those who were mistreated or fired from their employer “due to posting or liking something on this platform” would have their legal bill funded by X.

Carano, who had played the role of Cara Dune in the Star Wars television series The Mandalorian, was fired from her role in February 2021, with Lucasfilm stating online that her social media posts were “denigrating people based on their cultural & religious identities.” The actress has denied this, stating on X that “nothing could be further from the truth.”

“The truth is I was being hunted down from everything I posted to every post I liked because I was not in line with the acceptable narrative of the time,” Carano wrote on X. “My words were consistently twisted to demonize & dehumanize me as an alt right wing extremist. It was a bullying smear campaign aimed at silencing, destroying & making an example out of me.”

Just before her firing, Carano had posted on Instagram that Jews in the Holocaust were beaten up simply for their religious beliefs, with the post questioning, “How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?” Some people online interpreted Carano’s post as comparing Republicans to Jews, though Carano has denied making such a comparison.

Study Confirms COVID Shots Caused Spikes in VAIDs, Cancer

Researchers have published the results from a troubling new study that confirms Covid mRNA shots are responsible for spikes in serious and potentially fatal health issues.

The groundbreaking study found direct links between the injections and cases of vaccine-acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (VAIDS), various types of cancer, heart failure, and brain disorders.

The study’s paper was reported by Thailand’s leading English-language corporate media outlet, the Bangkok Post.

The researchers found that people who receive multiple Covid injections, i.e., a double dose of mRNA shots from Pfizer-BioNTech followed by a “booster,” can suffer all sorts of health horrors, potentially resulting in sudden and early death.

Gender Doctor: Parents Who Oppose Transitioning Kids Have ‘Mental Illness’

Psychologist Dr. Harriette Wimms told attendees at a medical training summit in 2022 that parents who do not affirm their child’s gender identity have a “mental illness,” according to audio obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The discussion took place at the World Professional Association for Transgender Health’s (WPATH) 27th annual training symposium in Montreal, Canada, on Sept. 17, 2022. Wimms, clinical director for The Village Family Support Center of Baltimore, suggested in a WPATH lecture on autism that parents who don’t affirm their children’s decisions are “transphobic” and have a “mental illness,” according to audio obtained in a public records request.

Wimms, alongside several other doctors, were discussing a case regarding a young adult referred to as “Silvian,” a biological female identifying as a man, who is also autistic and dependent on parents who would not affirm Silvian’s gender identity, according to the audio.

“Here in the States, Janet Helms is a researcher who has explored racism for years and years and she says that racism and other isms are [a] mental illness and need to be addressed,” Wimms said. “And I think if I were working with this client I just might say ‘Okay, your parents, unfortunately, they are transphobic and I’m sorry and let’s figure out some ways to deal with their mental illness.’” . . .

Other medical professionals at the WPATH summit also discussed working with parents who were reluctant to affirm a child’s transgender identity, with one doctor saying that it all comes down to “the messaging,” according to videos obtained exclusively by the DCNF. Democrat Representative Opposes Bill Condemning Christian Persecution in Nigeria Because It Doesn’t Include LGBTQ People (VIDEO)

Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., opposed a bill on Tuesday condemning the persecution of Christians in Nigeria because it failed to also include the LGBTQ population.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee on Tuesday performed markups on a bill condemning violations of religious freedoms in Nigeria, including the ongoing persecution and murder of Christians. Connolly, a member of the committee, said he didn’t favor the bill in its current form because it failed to encompass a broader condemnation of all persecution in Nigeria, including against “the gay and lesbian community.”

“Congress can’t simply say, ‘We’re only concerned about Christian persecution.’ We’re concerned about anyone’s human rights being violated,” Connolly said during the committee markup session on Tuesday. “And by the way, that includes the gay and lesbian community, which has suffered in Nigeria, among other African countries, [and] even at the hands of religious leaders, who have called for the death penalty because of somebody’s sexual orientation.”

“If we’re going to express ourselves with respect—as we should—it ought to be a comprehensive statement, not a particular group we single out, and basically say, ‘That’s the one we’re concerned about,’” Connolly said.

Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., later said the bill aims to distinctly condemn the violation of religious freedoms in Nigeria and accused unspecified colleagues of trying to “muddy the water” with irrelevant points. Connolly responded that he considered that a “smear” and explained his personal history with Catholicism. Biden Appointee Accused Of Retaliation Against Hunter Biden Prosecutor Donated To Biden Campaign

A prosecutor appointed by President Joe Biden, who was accused of retaliating against a colleague for working on the Hunter Biden case, previously donated to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, public records show.

Philadelphia U.S. Attorney Jacqueline Romero, who allegedly retaliated against Assistant U.S. Attorney Derek Hines, donated multiple times to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign ahead of the 2020 election despite her employment by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show.

Romero donated to then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden twice in November 2020 and three times the month before, FEC records indicate. Over the course of the year, she donated $270 to the Biden campaign, with some of the donations being sent through the Biden Victory Fund, the Biden campaign’s joint fundraising committee. The DOJ is listed as her employer on all of the donations to Joe Biden.

Romero’s most recent donation came in November 2022 to Democratic Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock’s successful reelection campaign. Warnock, Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff, Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman and Nevada Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto are among the Democratic candidates she has donated to in recent years.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas Survives Impeachment

The House of Representatives failed to impeach Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday due to absences and defections.

There were some doubts about whether Republicans would have the votes to impeach Mayorkas. They could only afford to lose three votes, and Reps. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) and Tom McClintock (R-Calif.) had previously indicated that they intended to vote against impeachment. House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) was absent because he is undergoing cancer treatment.

The House vote was 214-216. Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wisc.) joined Buck and McClintock in voting with Democrats against the resolution.

Here’s the Book the White House Suggested Amazon Should Ban

When President Joe Biden’s White House reached out to Amazon, demanding the bookseller suppress books opposing vaccines amid Biden’s push for the COVID-19 vaccines, White House staff highlighted one book in particular, according to documents reviewed by The Daily Signal.

The House Judiciary Committee obtained emails demonstrating the White House’s pressure on Amazon to suppress “anti-vax books” and the company’s decision to take action against the books. The pressure campaign left Amazon employees wondering whether the Biden administration was “asking us to remove books.”

“Who can we talk to about the high levels of propaganda and misinformation and disinformation [on] Amazon?” Andrew Slavitt, then a senior adviser on Biden’s COVID-19 response team, asked an Amazon executive on March 2, 2021.

The executive replied that Amazon had “taken a number of actions to not show misleading content on vaccinations, so if we’re missing something, please let us know.”

Trump January 6 Judge Worried Trial Delay Will Cancel Her Vacay

DC federal Judge Tanya Chutkan has dropped a subtle hint that former President Donald Trump’s trial in the 2020 election subversion case may be rescheduled to take place after he potentially becomes the Republican Party’s nominee for the 2024 presidential election. Chutkan mentioned her plans to be out of the country later this year on vacation and expressed concern that Trump’s trial could impact that incredibly important trip.

Chutkan reportedly stated, “I hope not to be in the country on August 5,” before noting that her availability could change if she is involved in a trial in another matter that has yet to be scheduled on her calendar.

The Republican National Convention, slated for July 15—18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is set to officially secure former President Trump’s position as the GOP nominee for the 2024 presidential election.

Simultaneously, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is pursuing an August 5 start date for a separate trial involving Trump and 14 others accused of attempting to allegedly unlawfully alter the 2020 election results in Georgia in the seemingly coordinated attacks against the former president.

The federal case against Trump has been temporarily paused as the DC appeals court reviews arguments from his legal team claiming immunity from charges related to official actions taken during his presidency. Even if the DC court rules against Trump, potential appeals to the Supreme Court could further delay the proceedings. Trump’s legal team also argues that the House of Representatives’ impeachment in connection with the January 6, 2021, riot constitutes double jeopardy for a multitude of reasons.

Last month, Trump’s team unsuccessfully sought contempt charges against special counsel Jack Smith’s team for filing court documents during a stay imposed by Judge Chutkan while the immunity argument is resolved.

Chutkan, an Obama-appointed judge, has indicated that she will set a new trial start date once the higher courts decide on the immunity question. Trump currently faces a total of 91 criminal counts across four separate indictments, vehemently denying any wrongdoing and entering a not guilty plea in each case.

Americans Demand Border Wall Amid Fears of a Potential ‘Civil War’ Over Biden’s Insane Policies

Remarkably, even 43% of Democrats aligned with President Joe Biden expressed support for the completion of the border wall.

The reasons behind the overwhelming support for the border wall are rooted in concerns over the perceived crisis sparked by the Biden administration’s immigration policies. The poll suggested that voters fear the ongoing situation could escalate into a “civil war,” with the issue of illegal immigration becoming a crucial make-or-break matter for many Americans.

The survey revealed that 49% of voters are worried about the potential for open conflict over illegal immigration, while 38% expressed less concern. Strikingly, the apprehension regarding a “civil war” scenario appears to be a shared sentiment across party lines, with Democrats expressing similar levels of concern as Republicans.

Fortunately, 14 Republican governors, including Texas Governor Greg Abbott, have united in their commitment to securing borders and exercising their right to self-defense.

Governor Abbott, engaged in a legal battle with the Biden administration over immigration policies, stressed the need for collective action. President Joe Biden appeared to have his latest mix-up on Sunday, mistaking an encounter with French President Emmanuel Macron with the country’s former leader, François Mitterrand, who has been dead for nearly 30 years.

During Biden’s campaign rally in Las Vegas on Sunday evening, Biden recounted meeting leaders of G7 countries in 2021 in Cornwall, England. He mentioned speaking to “Mitterand from Germany,” who was president of France from 1981 to 1995 before passing away in 1996.

“Right after I was elected, I went to what they call a G7 meeting, all the NATO leaders,” Biden, 81, said. “I sat down, and I said, ‘America is back,’ and Mitterand from Germany — I mean France — looked at me and said, said, ‘You know, why, how long you back for?’”
