Unlocking Weight Loss: Expert Advocates 30-Second Walking Technique for Remarkable Results

Embarking on a weight loss journey might be as simple as taking a stroll, but not just any stroll – a purposeful 30-second walking technique that, according to experts, could help shed pounds effectively. Recent studies have highlighted the positive impact of walking, specifically incorporating intervals of increased intensity, on weight loss and overall fitness.

People who consistently walk between 10,000 to 12,000 steps per day demonstrate lower body mass index (BMI) and body fat percentages. To enhance these benefits, fitness expert Denise Miklasz from Northwestern Medicine Crystal Lake Health & Fitness Center in Illinois suggests incorporating brief bursts of faster walking every three to five minutes, followed by a 30-second cooldown stroll.

Miklasz emphasizes that the intensity of walking plays a crucial role in calorie burning and improving the cardiorespiratory system. Adding weights or walking uphill can further accelerate progress, leading to more efficient achievement of fitness goals.

Interval training, which includes short bursts of intense activity followed by periods of rest or lower intensity, triggers a physiological effect known as excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) or the “afterburn effect.” This effect means that the body continues to burn calories even after the workout is completed, contributing to an increased calorie burn throughout the day.

While the traditional belief that burning 3,500 calories equals losing a pound of fat has been debunked due to its oversimplification, maintaining a caloric deficit remains crucial for weight loss. Miklasz emphasizes that combining exercise with a healthy diet is more effective than calorie restriction alone. Exercise not only aids in burning calories but also helps maintain and increase lean body mass, resulting in a larger calorie burn per day.

Whether individuals choose to embrace interval training or not, walking itself is recognized as an effective weight loss strategy with numerous health benefits. These benefits include lower blood pressure, improved mood, increased bone strength, and better digestion, as reported by Good Housekeeping. Timothy Burnett, an instructor of kinesiology at Oregon State University — Cascades, notes that individuals burn approximately 100 calories per mile, whether walking leisurely or running a marathon, making walking an accessible and impactful exercise for weight management.

ATF Director Displays Ignorance About Basic Firearm Topics During Pro Gun Control Segment

ATF Director Steven Dettelbach, a Democrat, made numerous mistakes when speaking about firearms during an interview that aired over the weekend.

Speaking with Margaret Brennan on CBS News’ “Face The Nation,” Dettelbach stood in front of a table that had numerous firearms as he tried what he claimed were loopholes that allow people to get around gun laws.

While speaking about how many rounds some of the AK variant rifles could fire, Dettelbach demonstrated that he did not basic firearm terminology, like the difference between a clip and a magazine.

Moments later he also demonstrated that he did not know what a pistol brace was when he suggested that it was the same thing as a butt stock. Pistol braces allow the person operating the firearm to stick their wrist through the device and use a piece of velcro to tighten the device around their wrist, thus allowing the operator to fire the weapon only using one hand.

The way that Brennan conducted the interview made it clear that the segment was intended to be pro-gun control propaganda as she stood with her arms crossed expressing disgust and promoting the false narrative that the Second Amendment was created for “hunting.” The Second Amendment was created for the purposes of self-defense and a check against government tyranny.

Founder of Christian Boys Boarding School, Wife Charged for Alleged Kidnapping and Abuse

A Missouri couple behind a Christian boys’ boarding school were arrested Friday for alleged kidnapping and abuse, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

Larry Charles Musgraves Jr., 57, founder of ABM Ministries Lighthouse Christian Academy, and his wife Carmen Grizel Musgraves, 64, were taken into custody by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department for allegations of first-degree kidnapping amid ongoing investigations into abuse claims. Both have been charged and jailed without bond, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.

Trump Nostalgia Is Here — And Endangering Biden’s Presidency

Donald Trump obviously left office on a sour note in January 2021, written off by many opinion-makers and political professionals. . .

The most remarkable phenomenon of the 2024 election cycle so far is the rise of Trump nostalgia.

It’s difficult for anyone to have a new opinion about former President Trump, who is so well-known, so in-your-face and so polarizing.

Yet people have a new, more favorable attitude toward his presidency in retrospect, certainly compared to the White House’s current occupant.

After about 36 months of President Biden, in other words, people yearn for the halcyon Trump years. (Read more from “Trump Nostalgia Is Here — And Endangering Biden’s Presidency” HERE)

Billionaire CEO Addresses Population Decline: $75,000 Bonus Encourages Employees to Have Babies

In a bold move to counter the critical issue of declining birth rates in South Korea, billionaire Lee Joong-Keun, CEO of the Booyoung Group construction firm, has implemented a policy offering employees a substantial bonus of $75,942.00 for choosing to have a baby. The visionary initiative aims to tackle the pressing problem of a dwindling population and its potential implications on workforce decline and national security.

The Booyoung Group CEO expressed concern over the persistent low birth rates, attributing the decline to financial burdens and challenges in balancing work and family life. Recognizing the severity of the situation, Joong-Keun emphasized the potential national existential crisis if the trend continues.

The policy extends its benefits to both men and women within the company’s 2,500-strong workforce. Furthermore, Joong-Keun is not just rewarding new parents; he is also acknowledging those who started families before the introduction of the policy.

Joong-Keun’s commitment to easing the financial burden on parents extends beyond the bonus scheme. The Booyoung Group CEO has been actively contributing to employee welfare by covering college tuition and medical expenses for some employees’ children. Additionally, the construction magnate is exploring ways to change tax structures in South Korea, proposing a new tax deduction system for corporate and income taxes. This initiative aims to ensure that employees receive the full benefits of parenting incentives, thereby fostering a more supportive environment for families.

Notably, Joong-Keun’s Booyoung Group is not the sole company in South Korea implementing such incentives. The Korea Herald reports that Ssangbangwool, an underwear company, has also introduced a similar program, offering financial incentives to employees for having children.

Joe Biden’s ‘Sanctuary Country’ Orders Cut Loose Illegal Alien Wanted for Rape

President Joe Biden’s so-called “sanctuary country” orders ensured that an illegal alien, wanted for rape in the sanctuary state of Oregon and already ordered deported from the United States, was not immediately taken into Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody.

Juan Jose-Sebastian, a 26-year-old illegal alien from Guatemala, first arrived at the United States-Mexico border in November 2015 as an Unaccompanied Alien Child (UAC) and was subsequently released into the United States interior.

In July 2019, a federal immigration judge ordered Jose-Sebastian deported from the United States, but ICE failed to deport him. At a later date, Jose-Sebastian was charged in Washington County, Oregon, on three counts of rape and sexual assault.

Last month, Jose-Sebastian was arrested in Martin County, Florida, for driving without a license. Initially, ICE officials refused to take custody of Jose-Sebastian because he is not considered a priority for deportation under Biden’s sanctuary country orders.

Likewise, Washington County officials refused to extradite Jose-Sebastian back to Oregon to face the rape charges against him. As a result, Martin County was forced to release Jose-Sebastian from jail. (Read more from “Joe Biden’s ‘Sanctuary Country’ Orders Cut Loose Illegal Alien Wanted for Rape” HERE)

‘Blood Money’: Two of the Biggest Funders of the Radical Transgender Movement in the U.S. Are China-Linked Billionaires

Pro-Beijing groups financially backed by two China-linked billionaires are pushing the radical transgender movement as a means of advancing a Marxist agenda in the United States, seven-time New York Times bestselling author Peter Schweizer reveals in his new book Blood Money: Why the Powerful Turn a Blind Eye While China Kills Americans.

In Blood Money, Schweizer, who is a Breitbart News senior contributor and the president of the Government Accountability Institute, reveals China’s multi-pronged, covert attack on America. In Chapter 6, called “Destabilizing Democracy,” Schweizer explores how two billionaires, China-based American Neville Roy Singham and Alibaba co-founder Joseph Tsai, prop up radical activists groups that use transgenderism as a weapon against the “capitalist order.”

Schweizer first focuses on Singham, who grew up in Jamaica and Detroit, Michigan, and as a young man adopted communist ideological views, joining the League of Revolutionary Black Workers (LRBW). Singham ended up creating a software business named Thoughtworks, while also serving as a “strategic technical consultant” for Huawei, the Chinese military-linked tech company.

Thoughtworks eventually opened an office in Beijing; and in 2010, it held its Software Development Conference in China’s capital city. However, Singham ended up selling the company in 2017, a sale which was a “financial boon” for him and enabled him to dump money into various companies in China, where he now lives, according to Blood Money.

“While enjoying his affluent life and connections in Beijing, Singham has poured more than $100 million into organizations driving the protest movement in the United States,” Schweizer details. “According to the chief scientist at Thoughtworks, Martin Fowler, Singham sold the company so he could fund his ‘activist work’: radical pro–Communist Chinese causes.” (Read more from “‘Blood Money’: Two of the Biggest Funders of the Radical Transgender Movement in the U.S. Are China-Linked Billionaires” HERE)

Meet The Biden Official Making Six Figures To Travel The Globe Pushing Transgenderism

The Biden administration has empowered a professional activist to travel the globe on the taxpayer’s dime to push transgenderism and gender ideology.

From Australia to Brazil, South Africa to Sweden, Jessica Stern travels across the world attending so-called Pride events as the State Department’s Special Envoy to Advance the Human Rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Persons. Stern, who has boasted that she is the highest ranking lesbian woman, is paid an annual salary of over $180,000 and tasked with promoting far-left views on sex and gender, lobbying foreign governments, and assisting activist organizations.

Appointed by President Biden in September of 2021, Stern’s work has gone largely unnoticed by the media as she bolsters the president’s broader effort to leverage the might of the federal agencies and their bureaucracies in service of a far-left agenda. In Biden’s first weeks as president, he tasked all federal agencies to work to “advance the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons abroad” — Stern has been tip of the spear in that effort, and has stated that this mission is “U.S. foreign policy priority.”

Stern’s travels as Special Envoy have taken her to at least 22 countries on all six of the world’s habitable continents, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Botswana, Canada, Germany, Greece, India, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Nepal, the Netherlands, Panama, Peru, the Philippines, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, and Vietnam.

“Good foreign policy is inclusive foreign policy, and that means having senior experts on LGBTQI rights,” Stern contended in an interview with the Council on Foreign Relations.
