Chinese-Made Humanoid Robots Raise Alarms in Congress: ‘Stealth Army on Our Land’

Advanced Chinese-made robots with eerily lifelike capabilities are poised to enter the global market — and some US lawmakers are already demanding that they be banned in the US, The Post has learned.

While not yet widely publicized, various Chinese companies have begun producing humanoid robots that are capable of carrying boxes, moving at high speeds and even replicating human facial expressions.

One leading Chinese firm, Unitree Robotics, has developed a $90,000 robot capable of running at speeds of up to 11 mph. A cheaper $16,000 version can absorb punches and kicks and twirl a baton. Many other firms have similar products under development.

Jacob Helberg — a member of the influential US-China Economic and Security Review Commission who played a key role convincing Congress to pass a law this spring to force a sale or ban of TikTok — is one of the loudest voices warning Congress that it risks disaster if it allows the sale of robots made by firms beholden to Beijing.

Helberg said advancements in humanoid technology have occurred “mind-bogglingly fast.”

X Sues Global Advertising Giants for Coordinating ‘Illegal’ Boycott Designed to Punish Free Speech

X is suing a cabal of some of the world’s largest advertising giants for organizing an allegedly illegal boycott to prevent advertisers from spending their money with companies that openly advocate for free speech.

Section 1 of the Sherman Act explicitly prohibits organizations from conspiracy against commerce or “restraint of trade.” X’s antitrust lawsuit, which was filed in a Texas court on Tuesday, aims to punish Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) and several of its members, including CVS Health, Mars, Ørsted, Unilever, and the World Federation of Advertisers, for trying to suppress online free speech by unfairly targeting some of the biggest promoters of the First Amendment.

“No small group of people should be able to monopolize what gets monetized,” X CEO Linda Yaccarino said in a video detailing the case.

The lawsuit, which video streaming company Rumble also joined, comes on the heels of a House Judiciary Committee report alleging GARM likely violated federal antitrust laws by colluding with giant ad buyer GroupM to coordinate the demonization of news websites, platforms, and podcasts it deemed guilty of wrongthink. Study Reveals Cell Phones Are Killing Face Cells and Might Be Doing a Whole Lot More

A study recently published in the peer-reviewed Elsevier journal Environmental Research revealed that cell phone radiation can do a whole lot more than simply warm users’ faces. . .

According to the National Cancer Institute, second through fourth-generation cell phones emit radio waves in the frequency range of 0.7-2.7 gigahertz; however, fifth-generation phones are anticipated to use a spectrum of up to 80 GHz.

Supposedly, such “energy is too low to damage DNA. By contrast, ionizing radiation, which includes x-rays, radon, and cosmic rays, is high frequency and high energy. Energy from ionizing radiation can damage DNA.”

DNA-damaging radiation is particularly concerning because that could lead to genetic changes that might significantly increase the risk of cancer. New York University radiology professor Christopher Collins told Forbes earlier this year that electromagnetic radiation only starts to ionize and threaten DNA at around 3 million GHz. . .

A study published last year in the journal Reviews on Environmental Health indicated that specific low frequency magnetic fields generated by power lines and various electrical appliances “can increase the risk of developing leukemia in children, probably acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Prolonged exposure to electric appliances that generate magnetic fields higher than 0.4 µT like electric blankets is associated with a greater risk of childhood leukemia.” (Read more from “Study Reveals Cell Phones Are Killing Face Cells and Might Be Doing a Whole Lot More” HERE)

Tim Walz’s Wife Said She Wanted to Smell Fires of 2020 BLM Riots Because It Was a ‘Touchstone’ Moment

Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s wife, Gwen, said she left her windows open to “smell the burning tires” during the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots because she felt it was a “touchstone” moment.

An interview clip with Gwen Walz discussing the 2020 riots and her reaction to them resurfaced online Tuesday after Vice President Kamala Harris announced she would be choosing the Minnesota governor as her running mate for the 2024 election. In the interview, which was aired on KSTP-TV’s “5 Eyewitness News Nightcast” channel, Gwen could be heard talking about the riots and her choice to leave the “windows open as long” as the city was burned by looters and rioters.

“I could smell the burning tires. That was a very real thing, and I kept the windows open as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening,” Gwen Walz said.

Minneapolis was quickly swarmed by rioters after the death of George Floyd in 2020, leading to many buildings being burned down and businesses looted, with the violence lasting for three days. Flashback: Kamala’s Hubby Lectured Americans About ‘Toxic Masculinity’ After Allegedly Having Affair With His Child’s Nanny

Kamala Harris’ husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, was accused in media reports over the weekend of having an affair with his first wife, Kerstin.

Emhoff reportedly had the affair after he and Kerstin had two children together. The other woman was reportedly a nanny for those kids, and a teacher at their school. The most salacious accusation in the report was that the other woman, Najen Naylor, became pregnant with Emhoff’s child, but decided not to keep it.

Emhoff gave a statement to CNN over the weekend in which he “acknowledged” the affair, albeit in a cryptic way: “During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some tough times on account of my actions. I took responsibility, and in the years since, we worked through things as a family and have come out stronger on the other side.”

These actions, if true, are those of a complete scumbag. Cheating on a significant other is scummy. Doing it to your wife and mother of your children is even worse. Doing that with the nanny, knocking her up and then having the kid aborted, is something only the lowest of the low of men would do.

That’s what makes it all the more odd that Emhoff, upon his wife becoming vice president, decided to lecture American men on “toxic masculinity.”

Nice: Creepy Tim Walz Uses Fake Internet Sex Meme to Mock JD Vance (VIDEO)

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) referred to a crude sex joke based on a fake meme to make fun of rival Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) during a rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday as Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate.

“I can’t wait to debate the guy,” Walz said, to cheers. Then he added: “That is, if he’s willing to get off the couch and show up.”

The crowd roared with laughter.

“You see what I did there?” he said, clearly aware of the joke.

The joke refers to a meme that claims Vance had sex with a couch, based on a fake citation from his memoir, Hillbilly Elegy.

WATCH: Democrats Chant ‘Lock Him Up!’ After Kamala Harris Attacks Trump as ‘Predator’

Democrats at a rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday to welcome Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) as Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate chanted “Lock him up!” after she attacked former President Donald Trump.

Karris repeated a portion of the speech she delivered to Democratic campaign headquarters last month.

On that occasion, she said:

As many of you know, before I was elected as Vice President, before I was elected as United States Senator, I was the elected Attorney General as I’ve mentioned to California, and before that I was a courtroom prosecutor. In those roles, I took on perpetrators of all kinds. Predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So hear me when I say I know Donald Trump’s type, and in this campaign I will proudly, I will proudly put my record against his

HARRIS: Now, many of you know, before I was elected Vice President or elected a United States Senator, I was an elected attorney general, and before that, elected district attorney. [Applause] And before that, I was a courtroom prosecutor. [Applause] So in those roles, I took on perpetrators of all kinds. [Applause] Predators who abused women. [Boos] Fraudsters who scammed consumers. [Boos] Cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. [Boos] So hear me when I say — [applause] — I know Donald Trump’s type.

The Vatican Finally Responds to Olympics “Last Supper” Controversy; Is the Olympics Closing Ceremony Going to Mock Christianity?

By Deadline. In a rare weekend release, the Vatican responded Saturday to the controversial drag performance that depicted Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper” painting during the 2024 Paris Olympics’ opening ceremony last week. . .

The Vatican Saturday said that the performance showed a lack of “respect for others.”

“The Holy See was saddened by certain scenes at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games and cannot but join the voices raised in recent days to deplore the offense done to many Christians and believers of other religions,” it said in a weekend press release.

“At a prestigious event where the whole world comes together to share common values, there should be no allusions ridiculing the religious convictions of many people. The freedom of expression, which is clearly not called into question here, is limited by respect for others,” the Vatican said. Is the Olympics Closing Ceremony Going to Mock Christianity?

By News Editor. The closing ceremony poster for the Olympics has ignited a heated debate over its use of Christian symbolism.

The Olympics poster, which has garnered attention on Reddit, depicts a dramatic and vivid representation that aligns with a biblical quote about Satan’s fall from grace.

SCOTUS Blocks Challenge to Trump’s Hush Money Sentencing, Gag Order Until After Election

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected an effort to halt former and potentially future President Donald Trump’s sentencing in the hush money case, as well as lift the gag order imposed on him until after the November election. As CBS News reported, the effort, described as “a longshot bid” came from Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey.

According to the CBS News report:

The high court denied Missouri’s request to bring its case against New York, and dismissed a separate motion to pause Trump’s sentencing in an unsigned order. There were no noted dissents. Justices Clarence and Samuel Alito said they would have granted the state’s request to file a bill of complaint, but would not have granted the other relief Missouri sought.

[Trump] has vowed to appeal the conviction, and his sentencing, while initially set for July 11, was delayed to Sept. 18. The New York judge overseeing the case, Justice Juan Merchan, lifted part of the gag order in June, but Trump is still restricted from talking about prosecutors, court staff and their families.

Merchan is also set to decide by Sept. 6 whether to set aside Trump’s guilty verdict based on the Supreme Court’s ruling that he is entitled to immunity from federal prosecution for official acts taken while in the White House. Trump’s lawyers have argued that under the court’s decision, prosecutors shouldn’t have been allowed to offer evidence at trial of the former president’s official acts. Manhattan prosecutors disagree with their assertions.

World on Fire: American Airbase in Iraq Attacked by Rockets, Several Injured

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris finally posted hours after news of the attack first came in that they had been briefed. Biden tagged Harris in his post, and she tagged Biden in hers.

Tensions are indeed increasing in the Middle East, after Iran vowed to retaliate against Israel for taking out Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh last week. “Two Katyusha rockets on Monday were fired at Iraq’s Ain al-Asad air base which hosts U.S. and other international forces in western Iraq,” according to a report from Reuters. The report cited “security sources.”

“Several U.S. personnel were injured in an attack against a military base in Iraq on Monday,” a subsequent report also revealed. The sources “said they were citing initial information which could change.” (Read more from “World on Fire: American Airbase in Iraq Attacked by Rockets, Several Injured” HERE)
