Daniel Penny Manslaughter Charge Dismissed

Daniel Penny, the 25-year-old former Marine who intervened on a New York City subway to restrain Jordan Neely after the latter began threatening passengers last year, will no longer face a manslaughter charge in Neely’s death.

Penny placed Neely in a chokehold for several minutes, then let go; he later died, though he was still alive when police arrived.

Penny was charged swiftly last year, partly because of racial politics: Neely, the initial aggressor, was both black and homeless. (His father has sued Penny in civil court.)

However, many members of the public believe Penny was a Good Samaritan acting to defend fellow passengers, and New York City Mayor Eric Adams said Penny acted appropriately. . .

The Manhattan jury could not reach a verdict after deliberating for several days, and even after receiving what is called an “Allen charge,” an instruction to reach a unanimous verdict of guilty or not guilty, if that is possible. (Read more from “Daniel Penny Manslaughter Charge Dismissed” HERE)

Biden Admin Regurgitates Left-Wing Lies About Trans Surgeries In Supreme Court Oral Argument

U.S. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar repeated numerous lies about gender transition drugs and interventions during her Wednesday argument to have the Supreme Court strike down Tennessee’s ban on the interventions.

Tennessee’s law, SB 1, blocks the ability of children to obtain medical procedures and drugs in order to “enabl[e] a minor to identify with, or live as, a purported identity inconsistent with the minor’s sex” and “treating purported discomfort or distress from a discordance between the minor’s sex and asserted identity.”

“It’s a fundamental fact of nature that boys and girls are different, and it’s really hard for anybody to get far with their argument if they don’t acknowledge that when they get pinned down. I mean, it’s just a given of human existence,” Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti told The Federalist in a phone interview after oral arguments.

While the lawsuit was initially brought by the far-left American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which is representing the parents of children who claim to be the sex opposite to how they were born, the Biden administration intervened in the lawsuit to join the ACLU.

Prelogar used the propaganda term “gender-affirming care” to refer to allowing children to take dangerous drugs that destroy their bodies, including sterilization, and the mutilation surgeries they subsequently receive. Canada’s ‘Doctor Death’ Has Killed Hundreds of Patients and Counting

Dr. Ellen Wiebe does not heal her patients. Instead, she kills them.

The doctor operates an abortion mill in Vancouver, called the Willow Clinic, where she also performs assisted suicides. In Canada, this practice of doctors killing their patients is called “medical assistance in dying,” or MAID.

“She does abortions during the day, and then she goes out and provides euthanasia to sick old people,” Angelina Ireland, executive director of the Canadian nonprofit Delta Hospice Society, told The Federalist. “Some might consider her to be a massive serial killer.”

Wiebe once operated a family practice but “now restricts her practice to women’s health and assisted death.” She is the research director of the Canadian Association of MAID Assessors and Providers (CAMAP) — an organization supporting doctors who deliberately kill their patients — and sits on the clinicians advisory council for the powerful pro-euthanasia lobby Dying With Dignity Canada.

Canada legalized MAID in 2016, revising criminal code to let doctors kill their patients. Officials updated the law in 2021, removing the requirement that a patient’s death be foreseeable. Groups like Dying With Dignity Canada have since been pushing to expand the euthanasia program to “mature minors,” and parliament has been debating the issue. ‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Diagnosed With Alzheimer’s Disease: ‘Really Struggling’

“Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease amid his battle with a blood disorder, according to his family.

The 78-year-old’s health struggles were revealed by his son, Jase, on Friday’s episode of the “Unashamed with the Robertson Family” podcast titled “Phil’s Diagnosis.”

“Phil’s not doing well,” Jase said. “According to the doctors, they’re sure that he has some sort of blood disease that’s causing all kinds of problems.”

The Robertson patriarch had been fighting the blood disease for a “few years” but Jase said that it has now “accelerated.”

“It’s causing problems with his entire body and he has early stages of Alzheimer’s so if you put those things together, he’s just not doing well. He’s really struggling,” Jace revealed. (Read more from “‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Diagnosed With Alzheimer’s Disease: ‘Really Struggling’” HERE)

NYPD Finds Backpack in Central Park Possibly Belonging to United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s Killer

NYPD investigators found a gray backpack hidden in the brush in Central Park on Friday that could be the one ditched by the assassin who gunned down United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, cops and sources said.

The bag was recovered south of the carousel near Heckscher playground and looks similar to the gray backpack worn by the shooter when he opened fire on Thompson, 50, outside the Hilton hotel in Midtown on Wednesday, sources said. . .

Investigators did not open the bag and sent it straight to the lab for forensic testing, police sources told The Post.

Thompson’s killer’s bag was described by NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny as “very distinctive,” in a Friday press briefing. “It is huge and gray” he added.

Paul Dering, the founder and chief executive of Peak Design, told The New York Times he thinks the backpack worn by the gunman in the surveillance photos released by the NYPD could be a version of the “Everyday Backpack” his company sells. Actress Dead After Participating in Dangerous Ritual

Mexican actress Marcela Alcázar Rodríguez, 33, died Sunday after reportedly participating in a high-risk ritual involving poisonous frog venom in the Mexican state of Durango.

The actress willingly consumed the Amazonian frog venom as part of a longstanding spiritual cleansing ritual endemic to indigenous South American cultures, according to Infobae, an Argentine outlet. Rodríguez suffered a severe reaction to the poison and was taken to a Red Cross hospital, where she died.

Rodríguez reportedly began vomiting and expelling severe diarrhea shortly after ingesting the venom, which is known to be poisonous to humans.

Jonathan Moreno, the shaman administrating the ritual, allegedly refused to allow the actress to leave for a hospital following the onset of her symptoms and fled the scene thereafter, according to the outlet. She later went to a Red Cross hospital after a friend arrived and noticed her worsening condition. . .

“Kambo,” the ritual substance in question, is known to be a dangerous concoction with the potential for unpleasant, even deadly side effects. The Amazonian giant monkey frog secretes a venomous substance as a defense mechanism against predators, and some humans apply the substance to their body believing it wards off bad luck and benefits health, according to Healthline. FBI Arrests Ultra-Liberal City Councilor For Allegedly Stealing Money, Making Cash Transfers In City Hall Bathroom

FBI agents arrested a Democratic Boston official Friday morning on federal corruption charges, citing an alleged “kickback scheme” to steal thousands of taxpayer dollars from her own constituents.

Tania Fernandes Anderson, who is serving in her second term as city councilor for Boston’s Seventh District, was indicted on one count of theft regarding programs receiving federal dollars and five counts of wire fraud, according to the Department of Justice’s indictment unsealed Friday.

Prosecutors allege that Fernandes Anderson, facing financial challenges last year following a state ethics commission’s decision to fine her $5,000 for violating a conflict of interest law, conspired with an unnamed relative on her staff in an alleged bonus kickback scheme to defraud the city of Boston. Fernandes Anderson allegedly paid her relative a $13,000 bonus — more than twice as large as the bonuses given to all of her other staff combined — who then slipped $7,000 in cash of that bonus to Fernandes Anderson during a secret exchange in a city hall bathroom on June 9, 2023, according to the DOJ’s indictment.

“Using public office for personal gain is a crime. Her behavior, as alleged in today’s indictment, is a slap in the face to the hardworking taxpayers in the city of Boston who have every right to expect that the city’s funds are in good and honest hands,” Jodi Cohen, special agent in charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Boston Division, said in a press release following Fernandes Anderson’s arrest. “This case illustrates how the FBI, and our partners are working hard every day to battle public corruption and the corrosive damage it does to people’s faith in government.” (Read more from “FBI Arrests Ultra-Liberal City Councilor For Allegedly Stealing Money, Making Cash Transfers In City Hall Bathroom” HERE)

European Nation Becomes First Country to Overturn Election Over Foreign Interference

In a globally unprecedented move, Romania’s Constitutional Court overturned the presidential election results after Romania’s intelligence agency alleged foreign interference through social media.

The episode makes Romania the first country to overturn election results due to allegations of foreign meddling through social media, a key flashpoint since allegations began prominently emerging globally after the 2016 U.S. election. In Romania’s case, the court overturned the results after a declassified report from its intelligence agency alleged foreign interference via TikTok.

The report came as Romania’s political establishment tried to figure out how Călin Georgescu, 62, running without a party, came in first in the first round of elections with 22.9% of the vote. His rise blindsided the entire Romanian political scene, especially as he hadn’t participated in any debates, didn’t register significantly in opinion polls, and didn’t belong to a party, something almost unheard of in Romanian politics.

Instead, Georgescu ran an almost exclusively online campaign, centering on TikTok edits of himself. The edits were usually clips of his speeches interwoven with him riding on horseback, swimming in icy mountain waters, or fighting in judo sessions, among other activities. His account quickly went viral, garnering 3.8 million likes and 298,000 followers, while his videos routinely receive millions of views, Politico reported.

Romania has the largest share of per capita TikTok users in Europe, with roughly half of its 19 million population being users of the app, according to data from the World Population Review. Couple Began ‘Transitioning’ Their Child as 1-Year-Old Boy

After the Supreme Court heard oral arguments Wednesday in U.S. v Skrmetti, the case that will determine whether states may ban transgender medical procedures for kids, one mother told The Daily Signal that her child began to transition as a baby.

“She knew since birth,” Michelle Callahan-DuMont said of her 10-year-old, a biological male who says he identifies as a transgender female and goes by the name “Violet.” . . .

CNN interviewed the same family about having a so-called transgender child. What the left-leaning news outlet didn’t mention is that Callahan-DuMont and her husband began to “transition” Violet when he was toddler age, over 1 year old.

“Violet told us when she was 1 and a half,” Callahan-DuMont told The Daily Signal. “She’s been telling us since she could speak.”

In the interview with CNN correspondent Lucy Kafanov that aired, Violet said he is afraid he will be murdered on the street for identifying as transgender. (Read more from “Couple Began ‘Transitioning’ Their Child as 1-Year-Old Boy” HERE)

‘I Am Naming Names’: DNC Chair Says He’s Going Scorched Earth on Party When Term Ends

Outgoing Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Jaime Harrison defended the use of identity politics in his party’s approach Thursday, pushing back against critics who argue Democrats should abandon race-based strategies.

Harrison, whose term ends Feb. 1, cited his experience as a black man while arguing in an Arizona DNC speech that minorities must see the Democratic Party as their own and “cannot be the excuse for why we win or lose,” according to The Associated Press (AP).

“When I wake up in the morning, when I look in the mirror, when I step out the door, I can’t rub this off,” he said, gesturing to his face. “This is who I am. This is how the world perceives me.”

“That is my identity,” Harrison continued. “And it is not politics. It is my life. And the people that I need in the party, that I need to stand up for me, have to recognize that. You cannot run away from that.”

The chairman suggested he has unresolved internal party grievances, hinting that “the muzzle comes off” after his replacement is elected. He announced he has no plans to endorse his successor and is writing a book to detail his experiences during his four-year tenure, the outlet reported.
