Rape and Human Trafficking Charges Filed Against Andrew Tate and His Brother in the U.K.: ‘Actual Bodily Harm’ Claims
Controversial internet personality Andrew Tate and his younger brother Tristan Tate are facing a total of 21 criminal charges, including rape and human trafficking, in the U.K., prosecutors announced Wednesday, May 28.
The Crown Prosecution Service said Andrew, 38, is charged with rape, human trafficking, actual bodily harm and controlling prostitution for gain related to allegations from three women, according to BBC, The Telegraph, and ABC News.
Meanwhile, Tristan, 36, faces charges related to one alleged female victim, including rape, human trafficking and actual bodily harm.
It’s unclear if the brothers have entered pleas or retained attorneys to speak on their behalf.
In a statement shared with The Telegraph, the CPS said, “These charging decisions followed receipt of a file of evidence from Bedfordshire Police. A European Arrest Warrant was issued in England in 2024, and as a result the Romanian courts ordered the extradition to the UK of Andrew and Tristan Tate. However, the domestic criminal matters in Romania must be settled first.” (Read more from “Rape and Human Trafficking Charges Filed Against Andrew Tate and His Brother in the U.K.: ‘Actual Bodily Harm’ Claims” HERE)
