VIDEO: Man Says ‘Angels’ Rushed to Help Him During Shark Attack

A Florida man who was bitten by a shark August 23 in Key West is grateful several people rushed to help him when he needed it most.

David Daniel of Silver Springs was walking in shallow water after fishing when he realized there was a shark nearby, Click Orlando reported Thursday.

“I turned around and saw it swimming along the coastline of a sandbar. Then he turned and just beelined right for me like a movie,” he recalled of the tense moment.

Daniel believes the creature was six or seven feet long and said “we were looking eyeball to eyeball” as the shark attacked and took a chunk out of his foot.

However, the individuals who were nearby and ran to help him when the incident happened turned out to be nurses and medical personnel who knew exactly how to stop Daniel from bleeding out by using a tourniquet.

It’s Harder For Zoomers To Afford These Five Mainstays Of Life That Boomers Could When They Were Their Age

Reflecting contemporary economic realities, many of what have traditionally been considered life’s mainstays have become harder for Generation Z in their 20s to attain than they were for Boomers at that age.

Wages are around 3.8 times higher today than they were in 1985, when most Boomers were around 25 years old, according to a recent study conducted by crypto casino BC Game. The study analyzed multiple publicly available sources to compare changing financial circumstances since 1985. The cost of housing, college, cars, childcare, and weddings, however, outpaced earning power over that same time period. . .

The median price of a house rose from $82,800 in 1985 to $403,200 — nearly five times higher — in 2025/2026, according to BC Game.

The annual cost of tuition and fees for college, meanwhile, increased by nearly seven times, climbing from $5,556 in 1985 to $39,307 in 2025/2026, according to the study.

The cost of a typical used car climbed from $2,656 in 1985 to $26,918 in 2025/2026, and the cost of a wedding rose from roughly $7,800 to $36,000 over that same time period. At Least 15 Hikers Missing as Flash Flood Sweeps through Grand Canyon

A desperate search was underway Sunday for at least 15 missing hikers who vanished when a flash flood swept through the Grand Canyon.

The National Park Service (NPS) confirmed 46-year-old man was dead and many others missing as they continued scouring the popular retreats of Bright Angel Canyon and Phantom Ranch after the torrent struck at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Apocalyptic footage showed a stream of water wiping what appeared to be a building downstream as the wall of mud was surged through the ravine.

Dramatic rescue video also captured helicopter pilots carrying people to safety as the rainstorm battered the chopper and the extent of the devastation could be seen below.

In an update Sunday afternoon, the Grand Canyon National Park Service issued a request for information about 20 missing people, before a spokesman later revised the figure to 15.

It said: “The National Park Service is asking the public to provide information for more than 20 individuals who may be missing or unaccounted for following a significant flash-flood event in Bright Angel Canyon and the Phantom Ranch area on August 29. GOP Trailing in 8 Battleground Senate Races 2 Months before Election Day: Polling Aggregate

Republicans are trailing in eight of the major battleground Senate races, just two months out from Election Day, the RealClearPolitics aggregate of polling shows.

The GOP had long been widely seen as the underdogs for control of the House due to historical trends against the party in control of the White House, but the Senate map is starting to look increasingly fraught, even in once reliably red states such as Texas and Ohio.

“It points out the obvious that Republicans are in pretty bad shape going into the midterms and that they’re looking at historic losses,” Republican strategist Terry Holt bluntly told The Post about the bleak polling.

“The question is whether some of these races can be saved with some miraculous turnout that apparently is going to be very expensive or whether or not the mood in this country can be changed fundamentally.”

Republicans are down 2 points in Alaska, 7.5 points in Georgia, 2.3 points in Maine, 1.8 points in Michigan, 2.6 points in Ohio, 2 points in New Hampshire, 8 points in North Carolina, and 1.9 points in Texas, according to the latest RCP polling aggregate data of the Senate races. New Jersey-based Chef Dennis Littley, a culinary educator and founder of Ask Chef Dennis, told Fox News Digital that freezing can change a food’s texture because the water inside turns into ice crystals. . .

Hillary Clinton’s Search for Intern with ‘High Level’ of ‘Discretion’ Draws Mockery

Failed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s search for an intern has drawn criticism because she wants someone who can keep their mouth shut.

The intern, who will not be paid, will work for Clinton’s office in New York City, the New York Post reported Sunday.

The Daybook posting said, “The Office of Hillary Rodham Clinton is seeking Fall Interns from September 9, 2026 — November 13, 2026.”

“Interns will provide support to our staff, assisting on a wide range of projects,” it continued. Most notably, the posting said the office is looking for someone who has a “high level of professionalism and discretion.”

Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton (D), had an affair with a White House intern named Monica Lewinsky, who was 22 years old, during his time in office. However, his wife has since argued he did not abuse his power in the situation, Breitbart News reported in 2018.

At the FBI, a History of Hiring Prostitutes, Bestiality may no Longer be a Barrier to Being Hired

The FBI previously refused to hire job applicants if they admitted to hiring sex workers or stealing from an employer — or engaging in acts of bestiality.

Today, those acts, which are mostly illegal across the country, are no longer automatic deal breakers for applicants to the nation’s top law enforcement agency.

In June, the FBI quietly lowered some of the standards it uses when it conducts background checks on would-be federal agents and other personnel. According to multiple sources briefed on the matter, the FBI did so to facilitate hiring in some cases, even if candidates acknowledged they engaged in sexually deviant activities or stole from an employer.

The move comes as the FBI has lost scores of employees through firings, retirements and resignations since the start of the Trump administration.

Under specific circumstances, the FBI is willing to give candidates a pass on prostitution, as long as they have not hired sex workers three or more times, the sources told CBS News. And the hiring of the sex workers must not have taken place within the last 10 years, several of the sources added. The United States has threatened not to support the UK’s sovereignty over the Falkland Islands if Andy Burnham does not commit to an increase in defence spending.

Senior defence officials in the Pentagon are drawing up plans to apply pressure on Nato members that still fail to reach the alliance’s five per cent spending pledge.

A senior US official told The Telegraph that Britain will be examined with “special attention” as Washington assesses its allies’ capability and commitment to increase defence spending.

Describing Sir Keir Starmer’s Defence Investment Plan (Dip) as not enough of a “step in the right direction”, Washington officials’ belief in Britain being a key military partner to the US is wavering.

Disheveled Milo Yiannopoulos Scowls in Mugshot as He’s Detained by ICE after ‘Overstaying His Welcome’

Firebrand right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos looked miserable and disheveled with bags under his eyes in a mugshot taken after he was nabbed by ICE.

The former spokesman for Kanye West is being held in ICE custody in Alexandria, Louisiana, because he “chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws,” the Department of Homeland Security said in a post Friday.

Yiannopoulos, 41, who is British, appeared unshaven and exhausted with messy hair in a mugshot posted by the agency.

The ex-Breitbart News editor entered the country legally through New York City in May 2019, according to officials, who said he skipped an immigration hearing after being issued a final order of removal by an immigration judge on July 22.

“Yiannopoulos legally entered the country on May 14, 2019, through New York City, New York. He chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws,” the agency wrote, adding that he was arrested Thursday.

Trump Announces ‘Biggest Oil Deal in World History’ with Venezuela to Secure 65 Billion Reserve Barrels

President Trump announced a major agreement with Venezuela Friday that will allow the US to “more than double” its existing oil reserves– a move the commander-in-chief said will lower prices at the pump.

In a Truth Social post, Trump touted the agreement as “THE BIGGEST OIL DEAL IN WORLD HISTORY!”

“At my direction, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, working closely with Highly Respected Interim President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, and, through a partnership with private business, have secured majority US control of more than 65 BILLION BARRELS of proven Oil Reserves in Venezuela, at no cost to the American Taxpayer,” the president wrote.

“This Historic Transaction MORE THAN DOUBLES American Oil Reserves, greatly increases our Oil Supply, and will substantially lower Gas Prices for all Americans, long into the future, while helping to continue to set Venezuela on a course toward Tremendous Success and Great Prosperity,” he added.

Since ousting and arresting ex-dictator Nicolas Maduro in January, Trump has made clear that he wants to revitalize Venezuela’s oil industry and pave the way for US companies to tap into the South American nation’s vast oil fields.
