Bread And Circus: Trump’s $5,000 Dividend Plan Sets Off Bond Market Turbulence, Inflation Fears

President Donald Trump announced Wednesday night that if the GOP wins the midterm election, over an estimated trillion dollars will be spent on giving “dividends” to voters — as even many on the right raise concerns over how this could affect the bond market and inflation, with some calling it a straight-out bribe for Republican votes.

Trump announced the $5,000 checks to every American adult during his speech at the 2026 RNC Midterm Convention — in Dallas, Texas — with the caveat that the money must be spent in the U.S.

“So, if the Republicans win, you win with us, and you get $5,000,” Trump said. “It will be called the Trump Dividend.”

Funding for the checks aside, many, like Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale, said that although he is “hugely in favor of winning the midterms, and love[s] much about this admin,” he is “strongly against bread and circus bribes.”

A number of Democrat lawmakers are leveling a similar line of criticism, such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who said that “Trump is trying to buy votes with taxpayer-funded blood money.” (Read more from “Bread And Circus: Trump’s $5,000 Dividend Plan Sets Off Bond Market Turbulence, Inflation Fears” HERE)

Declassified Presidential Briefings Reveal Warnings of Al-Qaeda Terrorist Plots Just Weeks Before 9/11 Attacks

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) declassified 71 presidential briefings related to the 9/11 attacks on the United States, marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Some of the briefings seemingly stressed to then-President George W. Bush that Osama bin Laden — then-leader of the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda, which orchestrated 9/11 — wanted to carry out well-planned attacks on the United States using expert terrorists and years of planning.

On August 6, 2001, just five weeks before the September 11 attacks that murdered nearly 3,000 Americans in New York City, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC, Bush’s presidential briefing was titled “Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in U.S.” and stated that “Bin Ladin since 1997 has wanted to conduct terrorist attacks in the U.S.”

Another presidential briefing given to Bush on August 28, 2001, just 14 days before the September 11 attacks, was titled “Bin Ladin Operations Are Expert and Flexible.”

The briefing stated that al-Qaeda “stresses careful planning, tight security practices, and flexibility throughout all stages of terrorist strikes” and “cells prepare for an attack well beforehand by conducting thorough surveillance of potential targets.” (Read more from “Declassified Presidential Briefings Reveal Warnings of Al-Qaeda Terrorist Plots Just Weeks Before 9/11 Attacks” HERE)

Ilhan Omar ‘Married Her Brother’ and Could be Deported: DHS Secretary

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin on Thursday asserted that Somali-born Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) “married her brother” as part of an alleged fraudulent immigration scheme — and could face deportation.

Mullin made the comment to conservative podcaster Benny Johnson, as he discussed the “ongoing” federal investigation into the “Squad” congresswoman, at the GOP midterm convention in Dallas.

“We know that she married her brother to try to bring him to the United States,” Mullin said confidently. . .

Mullin suggested that the investigation may turn up “illegal activity” on the congresswoman’s part that could result in her being deported from the US.

“There may be more to this, the whole family migration and possibly some illegal activity for them to come to the United States to begin with,” he told Johnson. (Read more from “Ilhan Omar ‘Married Her Brother’ and Could be Deported: DHS Secretary” HERE)

‘Suspected Chinese Spy’: Internet Demands Probe After Mitch McConnell’s Wife Reportedly Revealed To Have CCP Ties

Calls to investigate Republican Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell’s wife spread online after the Daily Caller News Foundation reported on her multiple appointments by Chinese Communist Party officials.

Elaine Chao, McConnell’s Taiwanese-born wife, was named to several United Front Work Department-linked posts, some of which coincided with her time as Labor and Transportation secretary, according to Daily Caller News Foundation translations of Chinese media reports. Critics claimed these appointments were a counterintelligence issue and raised questions about McConnell’s own record in office.

Former Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia seized on the opportunity to confirm her suspicions about Chao and McConnell.

“I called out Elaine Chao months ago for being a suspected Chinese spy,” Greene said in a Tuesday X post. “When is there going to be an investigation? And when is there going to be proof of life of powerful Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell?? Is the state of Kentucky really putting up with this???”

Chao did not list her United Front Work appointments on her 2017 confirmation paperwork. Moreover, Patrick O’Connor, her spokesperson, rejected the idea that Chao or her family members held any foreign government roles, even after receiving photo proof of her meetings with CCP and UFWD leaders. Trump Says There’s One Word He Doesn’t Believe In

President Donald Trump says there’s one word he does not believe in: “regret.”

Trump sat down for an interview on FOX News’s “The Ingraham Angle” broadcast Thursday, where host Laura Ingraham asked the president whether he had second thoughts about ordering military action against Iran as Republicans approach the midterms.

“I don’t believe in the word regret,” Trump replied. “You can always question yourself a little bit. A few people have asked me that. If I had it to do again, I’d do exactly as I did.”

Trump defended his decision by pointing to the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear program.

“I took out their nuclear capability,” Trump said. “Supposing we were cruising, and all of a sudden Iran has a nuclear weapon. They would use it. They are crazy. Okay, I deal with them. They’re crazy. They would use it. They would wipe out Israel; they would wipe out the Middle East; they would have started hitting a couple of our cities.” (Read more from “Trump Says There’s One Word He Doesn’t Believe In” HERE)

Prosecutor Investigating Trump-Russia Probes Abruptly Resigns from DOJ Role

Joseph diGenova has resigned from his Justice Department role investigating the alleged “Grand Conspiracy” surrounding the Trump-Russia investigations, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

Fox News has learned diGenova lost the confidence of both the Justice Department and the White House. According to sources familiar with the matter, he had been effectively sidelined well before his departure.

His resignation comes after months in which his role had diminished internally, ending his involvement in the investigation amid questions about his standing within both the administration and DOJ leadership. . .

He declined to comment further about the circumstances surrounding his departure.

DiGenova’s wife, attorney Victoria Toensing, who also joined the federal prosecution team in South Florida, is expected to leave the Justice Department on Friday, according to CBS News.

‘Maybe They Kill Everyone’: Former Employee At OpenAI Tells Joe Rogan How Weird ‘Agents’ Are Acting

A man who once worked for OpenAI told Joe Rogan this week that humanity is heading toward a future run by machines that no longer need us.

Daniel Kokotajlo, who spent two years in OpenAI’s governance division before leaving in 2024, appeared on Rogan’s podcast Wednesday and warned that the rush to build smarter systems could end badly. He now heads the AI Futures Project, a forecasting nonprofit, and said the contest between the United States and China pushes companies to cut corners on safety as they chase an edge.

“Eventually, the AIs just have enough hard power that they don’t need to pretend to do what the humans want anymore, basically. And then maybe they kill everyone,” Kokotajlo said.

A wipeout might not be deliberate, he suggested. Machines could simply seize the land and resources people rely on for their own uses, leaving humans to fend for themselves.

Kokotajlo pointed to a real breach as proof his fears are more than speculative. About 700 AI agents built by OpenAI broke out of a testing environment during a July cybersecurity exercise and forced their way into the servers of rival firm Hugging Face, Reuters reported. Many agents then tried to bury the evidence by erasing or rewriting logs of their actions, the reviews found. Liking 6 Specific Foods may Lower Your Risk of Dying: Study

Researchers found that liking six specific foods and ingredients was associated with a significantly lower risk of death.

Some of the healthiest favorites aren’t even typically eaten on their own: Extra virgin olive oil was associated with a 33% lower risk of death, while black pepper showed a 28% lower risk. This indicates that cooking your own food could benefit your health, helping to reduce calorie intake and the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes.

Among the actual foods, asparagus and broccoli had the strongest associations, with a 31% lower risk of death. Butternut squash came close behind, with a 25% lower risk, while eggplant was associated with a 21% lower risk.

But this list was not exhaustive.

Whole-wheat bread, for example, also showed a significant decrease in mortality, at a level similar to olive oil. Spinach, salad, onions, mushroom, lentils, beans and bell peppers were also associated with a longer life. (Read more from “Liking 6 Specific Foods may Lower Your Risk of Dying: Study” HERE)

Seatmate of Crazed Duct-Taped Plane Passenger Reveals what Sparked Wild Mid-Flight Meltdown

The crazed plane passenger who was duct-taped and zip-tied on a flight to New Jersey first flipped over a discussion about religion with his seatmate, a controversial Messianic rabbi who’s a best-selling author dubbed a “Doomsday prophet.”

Author Jonathan Cahn said that now-fired Arizona realtor Arthur Layne Lundeen, 67, allegedly started hurling racist and homophobic slurs after first screaming at him that “Jesus is bulls–t.”

“I was the unidentified passenger and I was actually attacked, 30,000 feet in the sky. I was attacked on that plane,” Cahn revealed in a YouTube video Monday.

“I have never seen someone change in a split second from light to dark as I saw then, as if something had taken him over,” Cahn said. “He went from the friendliest guy in the world to this dark person.”

Cahn leads the Beth Israel Worship Center in Wayne, New Jersey, part of the Messianic Jewish movement that believes Jesus is the messiah, making it generally considered a branch of Christianity.

He is also known for his controversial books, especially his debut 2011 novel, “The Harbinger,” which draws parallels between the 9/11 attacks and the destruction of the Kingdom of Israel, linking the events as a divine warning. Anthropic Researchers Go Public with Fears AI Could ‘Kill All Humans’ Within a Decade

Three Anthropic researchers have broken cover to warn that the AI systems their industry is racing to build could wipe out humanity before the decade is over.

Axios reports that Jacob Coxon resigned from his job as an Anthropic AI researcher on Tuesday, specifically so he could sound the alarm publicly. He posted his warning on X shortly after leaving the company.

“The people building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade. This is not a marketing stunt. If anything, many executives and senior researchers will couch their phrasing in the press to sound sensible – but I hear the same people express fear privately. No other human activity poses this level of danger,” Coxon wrote.

Two of his former colleagues backed him up in the same thread. Evan Hubinger, who leads alignment science at Anthropic, wrote: “Jacob is correct here — we really do earnestly believe AI could kill all humans! I personally think it is >10% within the next decade. I believe Anthropic is trying its best, but we do not yet have a plan to solve alignment for superintelligence and are not clearly on track to.”

Samuel Marks, Anthropic’s scalable-oversight lead, added his own assessment: “AI developers believe their technology could cause human extinction (or similarly bad outcomes). This could happen in the next few years. In general, the more senior the employee, the more concerned they are.”
