Migrant Bus Arrives at Kamala Harris’ Doorstep Hours Before End of Title 42
A busload of migrants from Texas arrived at Vice President Kamala Harris’s residence in Washington, DC on Thursday hours before Title 42 was set to expire.
More than 30 migrants – men, women and children mostly from Venezuela – were dropped off outside the US Naval Observatory, which hosts the official residence of the vice president, according to NBC News.
The outlet reports that the bus was the second to arrive at the Naval Observatory in less than 24 hours, with the first vehicle dropping off almost 40 individuals.
Texas has been bussing migrants to Harris’ house and other liberal enclaves since last year in an effort to demonstrate the challenge that border states face due to the immigration crisis and dispute the Biden administration’s claims that the border is secure.
The District’s Department of Human Services announced last week that DC’s temporary lodging program had reached capacity, with about 1,249 migrants from 370 families spread across three area hotels. (Read more from “Migrant Bus Arrives at Kamala Harris’ Doorstep Hours Before End of Title 42” HERE)
