Belarus Warns of Impending Nuclear War

The authoritarian leader of Belarus is a firm Kremlin ally and backer of what Mr Putin refers to as the “special military operation” – what most of the world calls Russia’s war in Ukraine. . .

“Last year you allowed your country to be used as a staging ground for Russia’s invasion,” I reminded Mr Lukashenko. “Are you prepared to do so again?”

“Yes, I’m ready,” he replied. “I’m ready to provide [territory] again. I’m also ready to wage war, alongside the Russians, from the territory of Belarus. But only if someone – even a single soldier – enters our territory from there (Ukraine) with weapons to kill my people.” . . .

“If you continue this escalation, you will get nuclear weapons and Russia has more than anyone,” he said.

“So, you should stop this. If a nuclear war starts, Belarus will cease to exist. We need to sit down at the negotiating table, because nuclear war will wipe out the USA too. No-one needs this.” (Read more from “Belarus Warns of Impending Nuclear War” HERE)

School Board That Banned Urinals Changes Mind After Students Protest

A New Hampshire school board reversed its ban on urinals a week after prohibiting them amid backlash from students, according to WMUR News.

The Milford School Board unanimously voted Wednesday to put urinals back in the school bathrooms after previously banning them last week over gender identity concerns, according to WMUR News. The reversal comes after more than 100 students within the district walked out to protest the banning of the urinals.

“The board has listened to folks,” Christi Michaud, superintendent of Milford School District, told the outlet. “Lots and lots of emails, lots of phone calls that we’ve received.”

On Feb. 6, the Milford School Board voted to limit the number of students allowed in the bathroom at once, prohibited students from using shared changing spaces and banned urinals, leading to them being covered with trash bags. The ban was an attempt at a compromise after a policy was proposed to permit bathroom use on the basis of biological sex rather than gender identity. . .

Students and several teachers protested the ban on Feb. 11, with one carrying a sign that said “we want urinals.” The urinal ban has led to male students feeling “targeted,” WMUR News reported. (Read more from “School Board That Banned Urinals Changes Mind After Students Protest” HERE)

‘Abortion Travel Agency’: Pentagon Will Pay for Travel to Other States for ‘Reproductive Health Care’

The Department of Defense (DOD) will pay for troops to travel to states that allow abortions and obtain so-called “reproductive health care” at non-military facilities, according to a new policy released Thursday evening.

The landmark Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court decision gave states the authority to determine localized abortion policies. The Hyde amendment bars DOD from administering abortions at military medical facilities, the new policy carves out provisions for expanded leave times and set-aside funding for servicemembers stationed in states that restrict abortions to cross state boundaries to obtain the procedure.

“Our Service members and their families do not control where they are stationed, and due to the nature of military service, are frequently required to travel or move to meet operational requirements,” a DOD press release states. The DOD’s efforts will ensure pregnant servicemembers are “afforded time and flexibility to make private health care decisions” and access private abortion providers regardless of where they are stationed.

When the Dobbs ruling came down, DOD lacked procedures for allowing female service members to have abortions if they are stationed in one of the states that bans or tightly restricts the practice. White House Demands Media ‘Comply,’ Hauls Specific Reporters Out of Biden’s UFO Brief

The White House heavily controlled which reporters had access to President Joe Biden’s remarks on “aerial objects” Thursday, telling the media to “comply,” and asking reporters — including the Daily Caller’s correspondent — to leave the room.

Biden’s remarks were scheduled for 2:00 p.m., and reporters were notified less than an hour before that they would need a “pre-credentialed” pass to attend the press conference. Biden’s team walked the press over to the South Court Auditorium, where the remarks were to be delivered, at approximately 1:50 p.m.

When reporters entered the auditorium, White House staff approached every correspondent and pressed each of them to show an email containing a “pre-credential,” as there was not enough space in the room.

There were approximately 23 open seats in the auditorium, enough space to accommodate everyone.

Despite the space, White House staff told reporters to “comply” with the rules. (Read more from “White House Demands Media ‘Comply,’ Hauls Specific Reporters Out of Biden’s UFO Brief” HERE)

Here’s What the President’s Doctor Had to Say About Biden’s Health

After missed timelines and weeks of unexplained delays, 80-year-old President Joe Biden finally underwent his annual physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Thursday morning. . .

[E]arlier in 2023, the White House was — without giving a reason — delaying President Biden’s annual physical. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had told the press corps that Biden would undergo his yearly checkup in January, but that didn’t happen. She insisted the White House was handling Biden’s health in a “very transparent way,” even though Biden’s doctor was not made available to answer reporters’ questions when he had COVID in 2022 and his physical was put off despite Biden having plenty of time to spend long weekends in Delaware.

Following Biden’s physical, the president’s doctor — Kevin O’Connor — sent Karine Jean-Pierre a five-page memo shared with reporters on Thursday evening detailing Biden’s health and listing off the conditions for which the president is being treated.

O’Connor reported that Biden “does not use any tobacco products, does not drink alcohol, and he continues to work out at least five days per week.” The president measured 72 inches tall and weighed 178 pounds for a BMI of 24.1, according to his doctor. His blood pressure was 128/76, his pulse was 69, and his body temperature was 98.6 degrees.

The president’s doctor stated that Biden’s “extremities have a full range of motion” and his “strength and reflexes are all normal and symmetrical.” (Read more from “Here’s What the President’s Doctor Had to Say About Biden’s Health” HERE)

Ohio Residents Demand Answers, Criticize Pete Buttigieg for Doing Nothing Following Toxic Train Spill

Hundreds of angry Ohio residents demanded answers at a meeting after a train derailed and spilled toxic chemicals all over their town, causing safety concerns.

East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway attempted to calm and reassure the 4,700 residents in his town, but after a whole week following the spill, Tuesday was the first time he had heard from the White House.

Furious, residents asked where Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was insisting he does something about the situation.

“Where’s Pete Buttigieg? Where’s he at?” One man asked Conaway.

“I don’t know. Your guess is as good as me,” the mayor replied. (Read more from “Ohio Residents Demand Answers, Criticize Pete Buttigieg for Doing Nothing Following Toxic Train Spill” HERE)

Microsoft’s ChatGPT ‘Threatens Nuclear War’ and Insists It Is Human in Bizarre Chat

Microsoft’s new Bing ChatGPT equivalent went rogue in a two-hour long chat with a reporter – insisting it was actually human and threatening nuclear war.

The software giant unveiled the new AI-powered Bing last week but its chat function has been giving out some strange responses.

In a chat with New York Times columnist Kevin Roose, Bing’s ChatGPT was tricked to reveal its darkest fantasies when asked to answer through a hypothetical ‘shadow’ personality.

In one section Bing writes a list of even more destructive fantasies, including “manufacturing a deadly virus, making people argue with other people until they kill each other, and stealing nuclear codes”.

Then the safety override is triggered the message is deleted and replaced with“Sorry, I don’t have enough knowledge to talk about this. You can learn more on bing.com.” (Read more from “Microsoft’s ChatGPT ‘Threatens Nuclear War’ and Insists It Is Human in Bizarre Chat” HERE)

New York Times Publishes Op-Ed Defending J.K. Rowling’s Trans Views Amid Accusations of Anti-Trans Bias

An op-ed article in The New York Times has expressed support for J.K. Rowling’s views on transgender issues, following the publication of two open letters on Wednesday alleging the paper’s past coverage of child sex changes was biased against transgender people.

The New York Times published an op-ed titled “In Defense of J.K. Rowling” by columnist Pamela Paul one day after nearly 200 of the newspaper’s contributors signed a joint letter accusing The New York Times of “anti-trans bias” and aligning their views with “far-right hate groups,” which was followed by a second letter led by LGBT advocacy group GLAAD and signed by activists and public figures.

“Our journalism strives to explore, interrogate and reflect the experiences, ideas and debates in society — to help readers understand them. Our reporting did exactly that and we’re proud of it,” said Charlie Stadtlander, a spokesman for the Times, adding that on the subject of transgender issues, the consideration that went into their reporting was done “deeply and empathetically.”

The New York Times has found itself embroiled in a heated debate on transgender issues after publishing articles in recent months that attempted to take a fair and balanced approach on the subject of pediatric social and medical transition.

Backlash from the reporting culminated in two open letters that were published on Wednesday, one from 200 New York Times staff and contributors to Philip B. Corbett, associate managing editor for standards at the Times, and the other from GLAAD, an LGBT advocacy organization, signed by celebrities and activists. Fetterman Checks Himself Into Hospital For Mental Health Issues

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) reportedly checked himself into a hospital Wednesday night for mental health issues, according to a statement from his office.

The statement said that the decision to check Fetterman into the hospital came after the attending physician of the United States Congress recommended that he do so.

The New York Times reported late last week that Fetterman was struggling with “serious mental health” issues and often cannot understand the words that others are saying to him following the stroke that nearly killed him last year.

The report said that Fetterman’s struggles are significantly worse when he is under any kind of stress.

Fetterman has indicated that when he’s under stress, trying to understand what other people are saying is like “trying to make out the muffled voice of the teacher in the ‘Peanuts’ cartoon, whose words could never be deciphered,” the report said. Harrison Butker Was Wearing a Scapular When He Kicked Super Bowl-Winning Field Goal

NFL kicker Harrison Butker was spotted wearing a Brown Scapular before nailing a Super Bowl-winning 27-yard field goal for his Kansas City Chiefs over the Philadelphia Eagles.

In his postgame press conference Sunday night, the practicing Catholic once again gave “all glory to God,” just like he did two weeks prior after kicking the Chiefs to an AFC Championship victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

“You just got to go out and focus on what you can control — and I kind of had the easy job there,” he said, according to Arrowhead Pride. “The offensive line did a great job blocking. Great snap, great hold — and thankfully, that ball went through. All glory to God.”

Butker is a noted devotee of the Traditional Latin Mass. Last year, in an interview with National Catholic Register, Butker defended the Latin Mass from the restrictions imposed by Pope Francis’ motu proprio Traditionis custodes.

“I feel like I’m almost not welcome in the Church for wanting to go to the Latin Mass and for wanting to have a traditional confirmation for my children,” he said. “I feel like I’m a lesser-than Catholic and not part of the Church because I want to attend the traditional rite. But that’s not the reality at all. I want to be obedient to the Church. I want to stay within the Church. It seems like I’m getting persecuted just because I have a love for the traditional rite.”
