Massive Ban on Gas-Powered Cars Given Green Light, Will Impact Hundreds of Millions

Negotiators from the European Union reached a deal that would effectively ban sales of gas-powered cars beginning in 2035.

The deal was reached on Thursday by negotiators from EU member countries, European Parliament, and the European commission.

By 2035, the new law states that carmakers must cut their CO2 emissions by 100%, rendering it impossible to sell cars that are gas-powered.

Jan Huitema, a lead negotiator for the European Parliament, said that the deal is “good news.” . . .

Additionally, by 2030, carmakers must achieve a 55% cut in CO2 emissions from 2021 levels. The automobile industry was previously operating off of a target of a 37.5% cut in emissions by 2030. Report: Biden Shifts Midterms Closing Pitch, Says Republicans Will ‘Trash’ Economy

President Joe Biden’s “11th-hour effort to shift the debate over inflation and the economy” ahead of the midterm elections is to warn voters that Republicans will “trash” the economy, according to the Washington Post.

In a speech earlier this week, Biden warned that Republicans vowing to restrain Biden’s agenda using the power of the purse would result in “more chaos, more inflation and more damage to the American economy.”

“It’ll be the first time in our history America will default,” he claimed.

Recent polls have shown that his and Democrats’ efforts to paint Republicans as threats to democracy have failed to become a motivating issue in the upcoming elections, and that Americans are instead concerned about the inflation that has skyrocketed under Biden’s administration and hurt pocketbooks across the political spectrum. RINO Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) voiced her support for codifying Roe v. Wade at the Alaskan U.S. Senate debate on Thursday.

“I do support the codification of Roe v. Wade. I recognize that we cannot go backward in time 50 years when it comes to a woman’s right to determine her own reproductive health and health care,” Murkowski said.

Disney Features Obese Heroine in Animated Film About ‘Body Positivity’

Disney has recently released a short animated film which features the story of a young, obese heroine who struggles with body dysmorphia, a move which some have said normalizes unhealthy lifestyle choices, even as others celebrate the shift from “unrealistic beauty standards” toward more diverse female body types.

The film entitled “Reflect” is part of a larger Disney project of “experimental” films called Short Circuit. Directed by Hillary Bradfield, “Reflect” showcases a young, aspiring ballerina named Bianca, who is torn between her desire to dance and her frustration that she does not possess the long and lean body type that traditional ballerinas often have.

In the film, Bianca becomes progressively more comfortable in her own skin, eventually dancing freely and gingerly in front of a series of broken mirrors and demonstrating to the audience that she has “overcom[e] her reflection and low self-esteem,” according to Samantha Berlin of Newsweek. . .

However, many viewers have criticized “Reflect” for that very reason, claiming that it, as one Twitter user said, encourages “kids to be unhealthy.”

Actress Details Disturbing Harvey Weinstein Sexual Assault

A “Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights” actress claimed Harvey Weinstein masturbated on her face while his assistant waited outside a hotel room.

The woman, referred to in court as “Ashley M.,” trembled and sobbed as she testified how the disgraced Hollywood movie mogul picked her out of the cast of dancers filming in Puerto Rico in 2003 and demanded that she give him a “naked massage.”

Ashley M., who was a trained ballerina, said she was 22 years old when she worked on the “Dirty Dancing” sequel, which was produced by Weinstein’s former company Miramax.

She said Weinstein approached her as she was about to film a ballroom scene with other dancers when he took her outside for a private conversation.

Study Finds Trans ‘Top Surgery’ up Almost 400% Among Children

As the debate over the proper treatment for children who identify as transgender becomes a national talking point, a peer-reviewed journal published a pediatric study that shows an almost 400% increase in some transgender surgeries performed on children.

Researchers Rishub Karan Das, Dr. Galen Perdikis, Dr. Salam Al Kasis and others found “the annual number of gender-affirming chest surgeries increased by 389%” between 2016 to 2019, according to a study published by the pediatric network of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Oct. 17.

Although there was a lack of information in the study regarding irreversible sex change procedures on minors, the study found some surgeries, like chest reconstruction, were increasing. Between 2016 and 2019, an estimated 1,130 chest reconstruction surgeries were performed on children under the age of 18, according to the study.

Female children were among the highest number of patients, with 1,114 chest reconstruction surgeries performed to masculinize an adolescent chest, compared to the 16 feminizing chest reconstruction surgeries performed during the same period, according to JAMA. Putin: ‘New World Order’ Will Compensate for Russia’s Losses in Ukraine War

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine will “accelerate” the inauguration of a “new world order based on law and justice” in which economic and political gains will justify the losses sustained thus far, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We’re facing a historic milestone,” Putin told the Valdai Discussion Club in a Thursday address. “Ahead of us is possibly the most dangerous, unpredictable, and, at the same time, crucial decade since the end of the Second World War.”

Putin took the stage against a backdrop of international anxiety about the risk of nuclear escalation in Ukraine and domestic Russian anger that a series of Ukrainian successes forced the Kremlin to send unprepared conscripts to the front lines. Putin insisted that “a flare-up” of some sort “would have happened regardless of how Russia could have acted in Ukraine” due to a purported decline in Western power and maintained that his policies would “accelerate” that process.

“Yes, there are some issues — I refer to the losses incurred due to the special military operation — and I always say that, yes, there are economic losses, but there are also enormous acquisitions,” Putin said through an interpreter. “What is happening, indubitably, in the end — I emphasize that — in the end, will benefit Russia and its future. Why is that? Because it’ll help reinforce our sovereignty in all domains, and in particular, in the economic field.” . . .

Yet Putin countered that Russia has proven more resilient than Western officials would have expected and pivoted to an argument that a “new world order should be based on law and justice” — a prospect, he insisted, that would require the formation of a new international financial system impervious to U.S. sanctions. More Lies: Biden Makes False Claims About Gas Prices Under Trump Administration

President Joe Biden falsely spoke about gas prices under the Trump administration Thursday, claiming the most common price of gas was “over five dollars” when he took office.

“The most common price of gas in America is $3.39, down from over $5 when I took office,” Biden said while speaking on Micron’s plan to invest in CHIPS Manufacturing in Syracuse, New York.

The national average price of gas was $2.39 on Jan. 23, 2021, days after Biden took office, according to data from GasBuddy.

Fetterman Was Always Healthy and Biden Is Fit as a Fiddle: The Media Gaslighting Continues to Midterms

Apologies in advance for using the so worn and tired “gaslighting” metaphor but there is literally no other name for what the national media have been doing for weeks as we head into what should be an absolute blowout election for Republicans.

Have you heard that two very important figures heading into the midterms, President Biden and Democrat Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman, are in the best shape of their lives? They’re, like, iron man marathon ready. They’re, like, 1600 SAT score sharp.

If that hasn’t been your unshakable impression of these two men all along, then I guess that’s your fault for choosing to believe what’s right in front of your face rather than what the media tell you is in front of your face.

MSNBC host and Washington Post writer Jonathan Capehart recently conducted an interview with Biden. The moment that earned the most attention on social media was when Biden appeared to be sundowning in the middle of being asked about whether he would run for reelection. “Dr. Biden is for it?” asked Capehart, referring to the president’s wife. Squinting at the floor and slowly bobbing back and forth, it was unclear what was happening. Had Biden just retired for a nap on camera?
