Democrats reportedly tapped into a treasure trove of data on Republican voters after a “slip up” at a major social media platform allowed Democrats to access the data. . .
Social media platforms allow advertisers to hyper-specify who sees their ads, thus giving them the best possible return on investments. To accomplish this, advertisers rely on information collected by data firms, which sell the data to wanting customers.
Two of the leading firms that provide data to advertisers on Snapchat are TargetSmart, a Democrat-leaning organization, and i360, a Republican-leaning firm. Each company allows political organizations to purchase its data, but reserves such transactions for groups that share its partisan views.

Adults in America on both sides of the political aisle and across various age ranges largely agree that there should be age limits blocking older people from occupying elected office.
A recently conducted CBS News/YouGov survey of adults in the U.S. found that a whopping 73% thought there should be age limits, while 27% did not.
Support for age limits is shared by people across the political spectrum, with 71% of Democrats, 75% of independents, and 75% of Republicans favoring the concept.
Similarly, the sentiment spans age groups, with 74% of those 65+ supporting a maximum age constraint, as well as 75% of people ages 45-64, 75% of those 30-44, and 68% of people 18-29.
Among the individuals who favored the idea of an age limit, 40% thought that 70 should be the maximum age limit, while 26% thought it should be 60-years-old, and 18% thought it should be 80. Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser declared the busing of migrants to the nation’s capital a public emergency Thursday as over 9,000 asylum-seekers have arrived in the district since April.
The declaration authorizes Bowser to establish an Office of Migrant Services, which will provide support and services to migrants being sent to Washington DC from Texas and Arizona.
The district will initially allocate $10 million for the creation of the new office and will seek reimbursement from the federal government, according to the announcement.
“This is what we know. The crisis at the border is not lessening. It’s getting worse,” Bowser said at a press conference, adding that she expects “hundreds of more buses” to arrive in the fall.
According to the mayor’s office, about 9,400 migrants have arrived in DC since April, when Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott first began sending busloads of illegal migrants in an attempt to coerce Democratic leaders and the Biden administration to tighten border control. Arizona Republican Gov. Truth Social’s hopes for a much-needed cash-infusion suffered a setback Thursday after the founders of a blank-check company were again forced to delay a vote on extending a merger agreement with Donald Trump’s site.
The founders of Digital World, a special purpose acquisitions company, instead ponied up an additional $3 million to prevent the company from dissolving for three months. The new vote is slated for Oct. 10.
The SPAC needs 65% of shareholders to agree to extend the deal by a year with the former president’s right-leaning social media site. The two agreed to merge last October, a month after Digital World launched its IPO.
However, the deal has been in limbo after the Securities and Exchange Commission launched a probe late last year into whether Digital World’s founders possibly had advance knowledge of what it was buying before listing its shares — a violation of securities laws.
Digital World CEO Patrick Orlando raised the $3 million from outside investors in exchange for options in the company that would come good if the merger with Truth Social goes through, sources said. Instead, President Biden’s words drummed the language of war, language rooted in harsh polarities that leave no oxygen for common ground, a necessary foundation of peace-building.
What deeply disturbed me in hearing President Biden give his “Soul of a Nation” speech wasn’t that he didn’t understand what extremism meant. I’ve been hearing his and his cabinet’s blunders on that all along.
Just ahead of his speech, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre gave a press briefing in which she said, “When you are not with what majority of Americans are, then, you know, that is extreme. That is an extreme way of thinking.” In other words, it’s “extreme” to think differently. More to the point, it’s now considered “extreme” to have a different opinion than Democrats.
Twenty years after 9/11 and a year after Biden disastrously handed Afghanistan to the Taliban, I know our elected leaders are still uneducated about extremists and ideological warfare. They were too lazy to understand Islamist extremism then — handing an entire nation and the fate of our allies over to the very people we went to war with — and they’re too unwilling to study the broader nature of extremism now. A federal grand jury investigating events leading up to Jan. 6 is probing former President Donald Trump’s Save America PAC, according to multiple reports.
The grand jury issued subpoenas intended to probe the PAC’s formation history, fundraising, money reception and spending record, ABC News reported. Around six Trump White House and 2020 campaign aides including Beau Harrison and William S. Russell, who have both worked for the former president since he left office, were subpoenaed this week, familiar sources told The New York Times.
Save American PAC was started not long after the 2020 presidential election. Records indicated the PAC’s cash funds stood at slightly less than $100 million at July’s end, ABC News said.
At least one subpoena was marked by the name of fraud-focused D.C. federal prosecutor’s name, according to NYT. Moreover, one other subpoena purportedly looked for correspondences with Pennsylvania lawyer Bruce Marks, who was involved in work to challenge election results. Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) is a part of this movement to bring awareness to the crisis at the southern border.
He is vowing to “reroute” illegal migrants who arrive in Florida to President Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware.
“That’s why the governor has worked with the legislature, to secure funding to make sure…that people that are coming illegally…that they don’t stay here with their arms crossed, thinking about what they will be able to do. Uvalde, Texas, police responded to an active shooter at the Uvalde Memorial Park area, where anywhere from two to six people have been shot.
Officials have confirmed injuries, but it is still unclear how many.

The Miami-Dade School Board overwhelmingly voted to reject recognizing October as “LGBTQ History Month.”
After listening to three hours of heated debate, the board voted 8-1 Wednesday evening to strike down the measure that would also have included teaching 12th graders about Supreme Court cases Obergefell v. Hodges (inventing the constitutional right to gay marriage) and Bostock v. Clayton County (adding a “sexual orientation” protection to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964).
Last year, the board voted 7-1 in favor of defining October as “LGBTQ History Month,” something that did not include teaching about Obergefell or Bostock.
The lone vote in favor was school board member Lucia Baez Geller, who proffered the measure.

Apparently folks in the South American country were trying to get upskirt shots of Clinton to use in lingerie advertisements, the former First Lady told the outlet.

This was the first of several moments that tricked Clinton into thinking that pant suits were a viable alternative to, I don’t know, wearing tights?? Honestly though, this entire story feels like another failed attempt to appear “normal” and “down-to-Earth” while she promotes her new Apple TV+ show, “Gutsy.”

But Hillary’s denial of what was found on her server exposes something far more serious than signature hypocrisy. It reflects establishment figures’ sense of license that they can literally rewrite history with little fear of contradiction by the media. . .
A 2018 Department of Justice inspector general report revealed “81 email chains containing approximately 193 individual emails” were “classified from the CONFIDENTIAL to TOP SECRET levels at the time.” Clinton is echoing her allies’ recent spin that there were only three documents with classification markings among 33,000 emails. It is utter nonsense. . .
Clinton objects that she’s held to a different standard. That’s true — but not for the reason she cites. She’s long been subject to her own standard in brushing off alleged criminal conduct.
Clinton has repeatedly avoided criminal charges even as close associates were charged. Many believe she used insider information from a friend at Tyson Foods to reap a huge windfall on cattle futures in the 1970s. No charge. Then there was Whitewater. Bill Clinton later pardoned Susan McDougal, who went to jail in connection to the fraudulent land scheme that involved both Clintons. For Hillary, no charge.
