Homeowner Wakes up and Shoots Alleged Intruder Dead

A homeowner in Keizer, Oregon, awoke to strange noises about 2:15 a.m. Sunday and shot an alleged intruder dead. . .

Police arrived on scene to find the alleged intruder with a gunshot wound, KGW8 notes. The intruder was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identities of the homeowner and the alleged intruder have not been released.

Ukraine Accuses Russia of ‘Preparing for a Decisive Energy Attack on All Europeans’ This Winter

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of using energy as a weapon by keeping a critical pipeline to Germany shut down in recent days, exacerbating electricity and natural gas shortfalls ahead of the winter months.

“Russia wants to destroy the normal life of every European — in all countries of our continent,” Zelenskyy said in his nightly address on Saturday.

“Where Russia cannot do it by force of conventional weapons, it does so by force of energy weapons. It is trying to attack with poverty and political chaos where it cannot yet attack with missiles. This winter, Russia is preparing for a decisive energy attack on all Europeans.”

Russian energy company Gazprom has blamed technical problems for this week’s shutdown of Nord Stream 1, saying that oil leaks in turbines must be fixed before natural gas flows resume. Mike Pence Expected to Testify Before Jan. 6 Committee

A member of the Jan. 6 committee said he expects that former Vice President Mike Pence will speak with investigators.

“In no one’s case is a subpoena out of the question, but I would assume he’s gonna come forward and testify voluntarily, the way the vast majority of people have,” Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said during an interview that aired Sunday on CBS News’s Face the Nation.

Pence has so far been noncommittal about appearing before the Jan. 6 committee if he is called upon for testimony.

Hillary Clinton Mocked Over Appearance at Venice Film Festival

Hillary Clinton’s political career didn’t pan out, so she’s now making rounds at film festivals.

The failed presidential candidate hit the red carpet for the premiere of director Noah Baumbach’s forthcoming Netflix film “White Noise.”

Though the 74-year-old’s appearance confused some people, asking why she was even there to begin with.

Critics were less than thrilled to see Clinton at a Hollywood movie premiere while her own party is quickly running the U.S. into the ground.

BLM Leader Accused of Stealing $10 Million From the So-Called Charity

A leader of Black Lives Matter is being accused of stealing $10 million from the foundation, using it as his “personal piggy bank.”

According to a lawsuit, Shalomyah Bowers fraudulently siphoned over $10 million in “fees” to his consulting firm.

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court claims Bowers treated the Black Lives Matter foundation funds as his “personal piggy bank” and acted as a “rogue administrator” and “middle man turned usurper.”

It also says that Bowers led BLM into multiple Internal Revenue Service investigations and “various state attorney generals, blazing a path of irreparable harm to BLM in less than eighteen months.”

“While BLM leaders and movement workers were on the street risking their lives, Mr. Bowers remained in his cushy offices devising a scheme of fraud and misrepresentation to break the implied-in-fact contract between donors and BLM,” the lawsuit reads. Hunter Biden’s Ex-Business Partner Has Concerns FBI Agent Hid Info in Investigation: Report

One of Hunter Biden’s former business associates, Tony Bobulinski, is worried that former elite FBI agent Timothy Thibault may have helped hide information he provided the bureau about his relationship with the Biden family, directly familiar sources told The Washington Free Beacon.

The sources said Thibault interacted with Tony Bobulinski’s lawyers more than once after his five-hour October 2020 FBI interview in the bureau’s Hunter Biden probe, according to the outlet. They claimed the FBI never contacted Bobulinski after Thibault told the attorneys the bureau would reach out if further information were necessary.

Legislators have brought up accusations that Thibault tried to stifle an FBI inquiry into Hunter Biden, pushed for some cases to be improperly branded “domestic violent extremism,” and had “highly partisan” social media habits. He was removed from a role as assistant special agent in charge at the FBI’s Washington, D.C. field office before retiring last week.

Thibault also reportedly was “running point” in the FBI’s interactions with Bobulinski, The Washington Free Beacon reported; however, Thibault’s lawyers have claimed he was never involved in a supervisory role in the Hunter Biden investigation.

“Mr. Thibault did not supervise the investigation of Hunter Biden, which, as confirmed by the FBI Director on August 4, 2022, is being handled by the Baltimore Field Office,” Thibault’s counsel previously told the DCNF. “In particular, Mr. Thibault was not involved in any decisions related to any laptop that may be at issue in that investigation, and he did not seek to close the investigation.” (Read more from “Hunter Biden’s Ex-Business Partner Has Concerns FBI Agent Hid Info in Investigation: Report” HERE)

Trump Blasts Biden for Attack on ‘MAGA Republicans’

Former President Donald Trump blasted President Joe Biden at a rally Saturday night over a series of presidential speeches that attacked the former president’s supporters.

“Joe Biden came to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to give the most vicious, hateful and divisive speech ever delivered by an American president,” Trump told a massive crowd at the rally in Scranton, Pennsylvania. “Vilified 75 million citizens plus another, probably 75 to 150, if we want to be accurate about it, as threats to democracy and as enemies of the state.”

Biden labeled Trump supporters as a “threat to democracy” in his Thursday speech in Philadelphia but appeared to walk back the remarks on Friday after questions from Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy. Biden also accused Republicans of embracing “semi-fascism” during remarks at an Aug. 25 fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee and attacked “MAGA Republicans in a Tuesday speech at Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

“The enemy, you want to know the enemy of the state, is him and the group that control him which is circling around him,” Trump said. “‘Do this, do that, Joe, do this Joe,’ right? I think Philadelphia was a great choice to make the speech of hatred and anger. His speech was hatred and anger. California School District Trying to Oust Christian School Citing Building Safety

A California school district is trying to shut down a private Christian school, citing building safety concerns the school says are baseless.

The Ventura Unified School District (VUSD), just northwest of Los Angeles, is demanding Ventura County Christian School (VCCS) vacate the school’s premises, claiming one of the buildings is structurally unsafe for students.

On August 19, three days before school was supposed to start, the district told the school that the facility was dangerous and that it would not renew the school’s lease for the property.

“We understand the difficult timing of this,” Marieanne Quiroz, a district spokeswoman, told the Ventura County Star. “We did and continue to do our very best to make accommodations for the school.”

“They have put their blood, sweat and tears into the school for 30 years. I understand that devotion and sense of loss,” Sabrena Rodriguez, the district board president, said last weekend. “But as a public agency, the school district has very clear direction for the decisions they have to make.” (Read more from “California School District Trying to Oust Christian School Citing Building Safety” HERE)

Joe Biden Trashes ‘MAGA Agenda’ as ‘Extremism That Threatens Very Foundations of Our Republic’

President Joe Biden took to social media on Sunday to trash what he called the “MAGA agenda,” dismissing it and those Republicans who follow it as threats to the very fabric of America.

He sneered on Twitter: “The MAGA agenda represents an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic. It doesn’t respect our Constitution. It doesn’t believe in the rule of law. And it doesn’t recognise the will of the people.” . . .

Biden’s attack on Republicans follows the theme set last Thursday night when he called on Americans to “stop” MAGA Republicans, whom he consistently maligned as a dark force assailing democracy in his “Soul of the Nation” prime-time speech.

As Breitbart News reported the president said on that occasion, after portraying MAGA Republicans as direct threats to American democracy, lawbreakers have no place in the America he wants to build for tomorrow.
