Good for Dutch Farmers for Fighting Back Against a Gov’t Bowing to Enviro-Radicals

“Zijn er ook boeren?” shouted Mick Jagger, in Dutch, into the microphone at a Rolling Stones concert in the Netherlands last week. “Are there any farmers in the house?”

Dutch farmers make for an unlikely cause célèbre. For starters, most are conservative, not liberal. And they are fighting against stricter environmental regulations, not for them.

Yet they are winning over liberal-minded people like me who sympathize with the family farmers who provide us with our daily bread and yet receive so little respect from society’s ruling elites. And they’re inspiring protests by other farmers across Europe, including in Germany, Poland and Italy.

I have praised the current Dutch government for being sensible on matters like climate change. Last year it embraced nuclear energy, one of the first Western nations to do so since the 2011 Fukushima accident spooked the world.

But the government’s poor treatment of its farmers has shocked me. The prime minister recently called the protesting farmers “a – – holes,” and sniffed: “It is not acceptable to create dangerous situations.” And yet it was a Dutch police officer, not a farmer, who inexplicably fired on a 16-year-old boy driving a tractor. Disturbing Report: Babies Left to Die After Botched Abortions

Several infants were left to die after being born alive during botched abortions in Minnesota in 2021, according to a state health report.

Abortion procedures resulted in the birth of live infants in five separate incidents, and life-saving measures were not reported to have been used in any of the incidents, the Minnesota Health Department report found.

Two infants were pre-viable and were left to die with no attempts made to save their lives, according to the report. One infant with an unspecified fetal abnormality was also left to die without medical care.

Trans Woman Returns to Life as Man and Takes Aim at the ‘Activist’ Doctor Who Turned His Life Upside Down

After living nearly a decade of his life as a transgender woman named Brianna, Brian Wagoner ultimately came to realize his transition had been a mistake. In February, the 31-year-old made the decision to detransition back to his biological gender and live once again as a man.

“It was basically like medical professionals cheering on a girl with bulimia for puking up her lunch when her ribs are already poking out,” he said of the estrogen treatment he was put on for years. “There’s a lot of money to be made by doctors here. They see the dollar signs, and in the end, money talks.”

Wagoner reached out to The Post after reading an article in June that profiled two young women who regretted transitioning to men in their teens. One of those detransitioners, Chloe Cole, who had a double mastectomy, is now campaigning for a Florida rule that will block Medicaid funds from paying for medical interventions in cases like hers. . .

As a closeted teen, Wagoner began dabbling in drugs, and by the time he transferred from a junior college to the University of La Verne in California to study sociology at age 20, he said, he was regularly using marijuana, ecstasy, Adderall and cocaine that he got from friends and dealers at his school. He said he began experiencing withdrawal, was staying up for days on end, and even contemplated suicide. . .

Desperate for a lifeline, in early 2012, he started searching for information about the transgender movement on YouTube and found a clinical social worker based in Los Angeles who made videos about trans people. He made an appointment to see her. During their first in-person session, he said, she immediately told him he could be transgender. Jill Biden Issues Apology After Taco Comments

On Tuesday, the first lady of the United States apologized for comparing Hispanic Americans to tacos, convenience stores, and flowers.

On Monday, Jill Biden told the audience at the “Latinx IncluXion Luncheon” that the diversity of the Hispanic community was “as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio.”

After much backlash — including an official denouncement from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ), which pointedly told Biden, “We are not tacos” — the first lady issued an apology via Twitter.

“The First Lady apologizes that her words conveyed anything but pure admiration and love for the Latino community,” Michael LaRosa, press secretary to the first lady and special assistant to the president, tweeted.

During her remarks on Monday, the first lady appeared to misspeak, mispronouncing the word “bodegas.” Bodegas are popular corner stores found throughout New York City that provide a range of food and household products.

Democrats Embrace Radical Push to Abolish Supreme Court

The recent decisions by the Supreme Court’s conservative majority on abortion and guns appear to have pushed Democrats deeper into seeking radical changes that would shift the court back into liberal hands.

While, for many, simply packing the court with more left-wing judges was the answer before the recent decisions, a new survey found support for killing the court, electing judges, and even allowing the United Nations to have the final say.

A new Rasmussen Reports survey sponsored by the Heartland Institute, for example, found that 39% of Democrats would let the U.N. reverse Supreme Court decisions it viewed as human rights violations. The reversal of Roe vs. Wade could fall into that category.

Worse, a majority (53%) of Democrats would support legislation to “abolish” the court and turn it into an elected chamber with judges picked on ballots. Just 21% of Republicans agree with that proposal.

Elon Musk Trolls Twitter After Nixing Deal

Elon Musk took to Twitter late Sunday night to address the news that he seeks to terminate his bid to acquire the tech platform.

In a pair of tweets the CEO suggested that he feels he has outsmarted Twitter. Musk published a series of photos showing him laughing increasingly hysterically, with captions “They said I couldn’t buy Twitter; Then they wouldn’t disclose bot info; Now they want to force me to buy Twitter in court; Now they have to disclose bot info in court.”

A second tweet, published minutes later, included a picture of Chuck Norris playing chess, to which Musk replied “Chuckmate.”

Jordan Peterson’s Russia-Ukraine Podcast Comments Go Viral

Jordan Peterson went viral on Monday . . . as he suggested on the latest episode of his podcast that Russia invaded Ukraine because the West is “degenerate.”

“And are we degenerate in a profoundly threatening manner? I think the answer to that may well be yes,” Peterson begins in the clip.

“The idea that we are ensconced in a culture war has become a rhetorical commonplace. How serious is that war?” he then asks.

“Is it serious enough to increase the probability that Russia, say, will be motivated to invade and potentially incapacitate Ukraine merely to keep the pathological west out of that country, which is a key part of the historically Russian sphere of influence?” Peterson then asks, setting up the topic for his Daily Wire podcast.

Peterson then adds, “To answer that question I’ll turn to the analysis of a recent sequence of significant events in the U.S. with broader ramifications for the development of political thought in the West.”

Ukraine: Russian General Killed With U.S.-Supplied Missiles

Ukraine has said it has killed another Russian general, following an attack in which Kyiv’s forces used American-supplied weapons.

Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesman for the Odessa regional military, wrote on Telegram about the “liquidation” of Major General Artem Nasbulin, the chief of staff of the 22nd Army Corps “after HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) missiles hit the headquarters in the Kherson region” of southern Ukraine.

It came as Ukraine released footage it said showed a HIMARS attack on a mobile command post in Tavriis’k, in the Kherson region.

If confirmed, Nasbulin could be the ninth Russian general to have died since the start of the invasion on February 24, according to one estimate. Ukraine’s claims that it has killed Russian commanders give its forces a considerable PR boost although most of them have not been confirmed by Moscow and Russia’s Defense Ministry, which Newsweek has contacted, rarely comments on such losses. Biden Admin Drops $1.5 Million on ‘Transgender Programming’ for Inmates

The Biden administration spent nearly $1.5 million to produce a “transgender programming curriculum” for inmates held in the nation’s 122 federal prisons.

The Justice Department disbursed the funds for a consulting firm to develop a program to help transgender inmates “manage identity concerns during incarceration” and advocate for their “sexual health and safety,” according to a government summary of the contract. The contract also asks the firm to develop a program to help transgender inmates access hormone treatment after they are released.

There are only about 1,200 transgender individuals serving sentences in federal prisons, according to a 2021 Department of Justice estimate, meaning the Biden administration spent roughly $1,250 per transgender prisoner. That is more than the $1,200 checks Americans received during the first round of COVID-19 stimulus payments.

The Justice Department’s $1,496,500 contract is part of President Joe Biden’s larger, controversial effort to promote transgenderism—even among minors. The Justice Department in March sent a letter to all state attorneys general warning them against restricting transgender hormone treatment for children. That same month, Biden’s State Department announced it would allow individuals to select “X” as their gender when completing passport applications. The administration also released updated guidelines in January that make it easier for transgender inmates to be placed in facilities that match their “gender identity.”

Following a district court ruling last month, a convicted terrorist is set to become the first transgender inmate to receive federally funded sex-reassignment surgery, the Washington Free Beacon reported. The American Civil Liberties Union, a Biden administration ally, waged the successful legal battle on behalf of Cristina Iglesias, who in 2005 mailed fake anthrax to British government office buildings. Berkeley Professor to Hawley: ‘Your Line of Questioning Is Transphobic’

Berkeley law professor Khiara Bridges rebuked Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) during a Senate hearing on Tuesday, accusing him of peppering her with a line of transphobic questioning.

Bridges during an exchange with Hawley at the hearing cited the suicide attempt rate among transgender people and accused Hawley of asking questions that could lead to violence against the trans community. Hawley appeared annoyed with those accusations and eventually asked Bridges if that was how she treated her students.

The dispute began when Hawley began asking questions about pregnancy.

“You’ve referred to people with a capacity for pregnancy. Would that be women?” the senator asked Bridges during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on abortion rights.

“Many cis women have the capacity for pregnancy.
