January 6 Committee Attacks Trump for Doubting Election

The second day of public hearings of the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol was held Monday, and focused on attacking then-President Donald Trump for questioning the 2020 election results.

The goal was a to argue that Trump inspired those who stormed the Capitol by convincing them that the election had been “stolen” and that they had to prevent an illegitimate president from being installed by stopping the certification of the result.

The panel played video depositions of various individuals who had testified before the committee behind closed doors — on pain of prosecution for contempt of Congress — about their disagreement with Trump about the legitimacy of the election.

Notable testimonies included those of former presidential adviser Jared Kushner (Trump’s son-in-law); former Attorney General Bill Barr (whom the Democrat-run House had already voted to hold in contempt over his refusal to hand over grand jury documents in the “Russia collusion” investigation); and — speaking live — former Fox News reporter Chris Stirewalt. News interviews with Trump aides, such as former New York City mayor (and Trump later) Rudy Giluiani, were played. (Read more from “January 6 Committee Attacks Trump for Doubting Election” HERE)

SIGN OF THE TIMES: Gas Station Owner’s Display Goes Viral as Prices Hit Record Highs

The owner of a gas station in Minnesota wants customers to know he is also frustrated with the country’s record-high prices.

“We hate our gas prices too,” read a sign posted outside a Marathon gas station in St. Paul, WCCO-TV reported.

Chuck Graff, the owner, told the outlet he wanted customers to know they were not the only ones feeling the “pain at the pump” as the national average gas price recently topped $5 per gallon for the first time.

While still below the national average, the price of gas in Minnesota has seen a new record-high for 11 days in a row and now sits at $4.76, the highest ever recorded average price for the state, according to the AAA motorist group.

Last year, a gallon of regular gas in Minnesota cost under $2.90, per the report. (Read more from “Sign of the Times: Gas Station Owner’s Display Goes Viral as Prices Hit Record Highs” HERE)

Donald Trump Rips Ivanka Trump After Jan. 6 Testimony (VIDEO)

Former President Donald Trump publicly rebuked his daughter Ivanka Trump following a clip of her displayed by the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot during a public hearing Thursday evening.

The former president stressed that his daughter was not in the loop on his campaign’s investigations of 2020 election fraud claims and had not thoroughly studied the matter. In the clip, Ivanka Trump said she respected former Attorney General Bill Barr and trusted his judgment that the 2022 election wasn’t rigged.

“Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results. She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as attorney general (he sucked),” Trump wrote on Truth Social, a social media platform he has attempted to establish as an alternative to Twitter.

Ivanka Trump’s comments, made during a closed-door deposition, were highlighted during the panel’s prime-time public hearing. Members of the panel and Trump critics pointed to the clip, in which she was pressed about Barr’s dismissal of claims of rampant voter fraud touted by the then-president and some of his allies, as evidence that members of Trump’s inner circle knew his claims about rampant voter fraud were unfounded. Americans Still Care More About Inflation Than Abortion

Most Americans still rank record-high inflation under President Joe Biden as the most important issue facing the United States even as the mainstream media fear-monger about the Supreme Court potentially overturning Roe v. Wade, according to a FiveThirtyEight/Ipsos poll released Thursday.

Fifty-five percent of Americans—including 71 percent of Republicans, 41 percent of Democrats, and 54 percent of independents—say inflation is the most important issue, the poll found, a 4-point increase since May. Just 10 percent, by contrast, say abortion is their biggest concern.

While mainstream media sources, including the New York Times, have attempted to stoke fears of abortion bans following the leak of a Supreme Court ruling that overturns Roe, the percent of Americans who cite abortion as their most important issue has increased by only 5 points, the poll found. School Club Asked Students How They Know They’re Straight

A student leadership and diversity club in a Phoenix-area school district asked students a series of questions on their sexuality, including how they knew they were straight.

The question was part of a program used by the Unitown Club in the Scottsdale Unified School District to discuss sexual orientation with students, according to emails released by the Arizona Daily Independent. The club’s description contains no reference to sexual education.

The curriculum, which was created by the organization Anytown Learning, lists 16 discussion questions on sexual orientation, including what students think caused their heterosexuality, how they decided they were heterosexual, why heterosexual relationships are unstable, and whether they had considered that heterosexuality was a phase they would grow out of.

The sexual orientation exercise also asks students: “Considering the menace of overpopulation, how could the human race survive if everyone were heterosexual?” (Read more from “School Club Asked Students How They Know They’re Straight” HERE)

Major U.S. City’s Plan to Spy on Citizens Draws Fierce Opposition

Plans by the city of Houston to require businesses to install surveillance cameras – and then give police access – has drawn a warning letter from a second civil-rights organization.

WND reported in May when the Institute for Justice warned city officials the spy plans were unrealistic and illegal, because they would be in violation of the 4th Amendment.

Now the Rutherford Institute is raising related concerns.

The civil and religious rights organization said the city’s “Exterior Security Cameras Ordinance” is nothing more than a “thinly veiled attempt to evade oversight and accountability for Fourth Amendment violations.”

The ordinance was adopted in April and demands businesses install a citywide digital surveillance system that can be accessed by police without a search warrant. (Read more from “Major U.S. City’s Plan to Spy on Citizens Draws Fierce Opposition” HERE)

New Study Estimates 1.6 Million in the United States Identify as Transgender

A study published Friday estimates that approximately 1.64 million people over age 13 in the United States are “transgender.”

Reuters reported that the study done by researchers at UCLA’s Williams Institute claims that 0.5 percent of all American adults, 1.3 million people, and about 300,000 youth 13 to 17 years old identify as transgender. This means the individual “identifies” with a different gender than the sex they were assigned at birth.

The executive summary from the study says that there are more “transgender women” than “transgender men.” There are over 300,000 people who are “gender nonconforming.”

Over 1.6 million adults (ages 18 and older) and youth (ages 13 to 17) identify as transgender in the United States, or 0.6% of those ages 13 and older.

Among U.S. adults, 0.5% (about 1.3 million adults) identify as transgender. Among youth ages 13 to 17 in the U.S., 1.4% (about 300,000 youth) identify as transgender.

Sizing Down: Full List of US Companies Slammed for ‘Shrinkflation’

As high costs continue to drain the wallets of Americans, companies are now under fire for shrinking the size of their products.

This process is known as shrinkflation, which companies are using to not only scale down the size but aren’t even lowering the price of their products. . .

In particular, Bloomberg reported that Subway rotisserie chicken wraps and sandwiches contain less meat.

Also, Domino’s has cut down its number of boneless wings to eight from 10, while Burger King is doing the same with its chicken nuggets.

Separately, The LA Times specifically points to a bag of “Party Size” Fritos Scoops, which used to be 18 ounces. (Read more from “Sizing Down: Full List of US Companies Slammed for ‘Shrinkflation’” HERE)

Homeowner With a Gun Halts Home Intrusion

An Iowa homeowner grabbed his gun after strange noises woke him up in middle of the night Thursday, after which he allegedly saw an intruder breaking through a window in his home southwest of Casey, which is very close to Interstate 80 — and shot the intruder multiple times.

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office said the home’s resident, after being awakened, heard additional loud noises and glass breaking — and saw someone trying to enter the residence through a broken window.

Officials said the resident fired multiple shots at the suspected intruder and then called 911 around 4:30 a.m.

Officers responded and administered first aid to the wounded individual, officials said, adding that the identity of the suspected intruder wasn’t immediately confirmed.

Adair Rescue and the Adair County Ambulance responded to the scene to provide additional medical aid, officials said, adding that the suspected intruder was transported by an Air-Ambulance to a Des Moines-area hospital where he was receiving treatment for multiple gunshot wounds. Pride Parade Features Whips Cracking on Bodies, ‘Lube’ Offers, Exposed Breasts, and Bulging Crotches — All While Little Children Watch With Their Parents (VIDEO)

The LA Pride parade over the weekend in Los Angeles featured whips cracking against bodies, bare breasts, and bulging crotches — all in full view of little children who were gathered in the crowd with presumably approving parents. . .

[Warning: ALL video contains explicit content.]

In another clip, a mom was still smiling with two tykes in tow after a parade participant — an individual dressed in a rainbow bodysuit surrounded by shirtless men in short shorts with bulging crotches — announced that sexual lubricant was available.

“Happy Pride! We have bandanas and lube!” the individual on a microphone said after which the video camera panned to the smiling mother and two children in the crowd:
