A Gaffe-Ingstock: The Decline of Biden — And the Presidency

“End of the quote. Repeat the line.” Such is the senescence of the 46th president of the United States that when he is not flat-out misspeaking, it is because he is reading the cues as he stumbles through the see-Jane-run prose of White House speechwriters. Like life at 79, the teleprompts come at you fast.

We must bear this in mind when assessing how consequential it may be when the putative leader of the free world misspeaks. We gasp, yes, but it is probably not as damaging as one might fear.

Alas, that realization induces as much pang of regret as sigh of relief. The bully pulpit is among the American presidency’s greatest assets when exploited with competent confidence. There was a time, not so long ago, when a president of such gravity called for the Berlin Wall to be razed, and it actually did come down in due course, along with the evil empire whose crumbling he’d had the vision to see coming. . .

As with nearly everything befalling his train wreck of a term (which has “just” 30 months to go!), Joe Biden is guilty more of accelerating a corrosive trend than of causing it. He entered office notorious for his gift of the gaffe, a thin-skinned lemming so dull that when one of his presidential bids was torpedoed by a plagiarism scandal, it turned out he had chosen another mediocrity — former British Labour leader Neil Kinnock — to steal from.

Through a half-century of rhetorical misadventure, Biden has never been taken seriously — including by President Barack Obama, who, confoundingly, plucked Biden from the scrap heap to be his running mate after serving with him in the Senate . . . and famously slipped an aide a “Shoot. Me. Now.” note he’d scribbled during one of Biden’s logorrheic discourses. Bidenflation Threatens Almost Half of Small Business Owners

Almost half of small business owners said their businesses are on the brink of closing after inflation last month hit another record high.

A report published Thursday by the Alignable Research Center found that 47 percent of small business owners say they may close by the fall, marking a 12-point increase from last summer, when only 35 percent of business owners said they were at risk. More than half, meanwhile, said they expect to make less money than they did last year.

More than 60 percent of respondents said inflation has damaged their business more than the COVID-19 pandemic, the report showed. Inflation shot up to 9.1 percent in June, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Economists, including former Obama administration officials, have said President Joe Biden’s nearly $2 trillion stimulus package contributed significantly to skyrocketing inflation. Here’s Why the Media Don’t Want You to Know About the Massive Protests Going On Around the Globe (VIDEO)

If you skim the front pages of major corporate news outlets, you’ll find no mention of the economic protests raging in Spain, Morocco, Greece, and the United Kingdom.

On The Washington Post homepage these days, you’ll find headlines such as, “How To Deal With A Chatty Coworker Who Won’t Get Out Of Your Office,” but you won’t find mention of the more than 100,000 people protesting in Madrid. You’ll find the story of a gay union entitled, “What’s Two ‘Yentas’ Plus One Senator? A Lifetime Together” at The New York Times, but you won’t see a single heading on the more than 10,000 protesters in Athens. Corporate media has largely glossed over the tens of thousands of farmers in the Netherlands who clogged up roadways and distributions centers by holding Canadian-trucker-convoy-style demonstrations to protest radical climate policies

According to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, which records protests worldwide, 11 countries are currently seeing protests of more than 1,000 people in response to the rising cost of living and other economic woes in 2022. As of July 5, Carnegie had recorded protests of more than 120,000 people in France, 100,000 in Spain, 10,000 in Greece, 10,000 in Kazakhstan, 10,000 in Sri Lanka, 10,000 in India, 5,000 in Iran, 5,000 in Peru, 1,000 people in Argentina, 1,000 in Morocco, and 1,000 in the U.K. . .

Aside from a scant headline here and there, America’s most popular news providers, The Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, and NBC, did not cover these protests, despite the French and Spanish protests being 10 to 100 times larger than the protests these corporate media giants did report. . .

Corporate media won’t talk about the rest of these protests because the countries are struggling from economically disastrous policies akin to President Joe Biden’s. Any show of economic turmoil in EU member states could be traced back to EU sanctions on Russia or green energy failures, which would fly in the face of the corporate media’s agenda. Russia in ‘Holy War’ in Ukraine Against ‘Satanic’ West, LGBT (VIDEO)

Apti Alaudinov, the commander of Chechen forces fighting for Russia, praised Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, calling it a “holy war” against the “Satanic” values of Europe and the United States as well as the LGBTQ community.

Alaudinov made the remarks during a recent segment of Russia’s state-run Russia-1 television channel. A clip of his remarks were shared to Twitter on Sunday by Julia Davis, a columnist for The Daily Beast and creator of the Russian Media Monitor. Chechnya, where Alaudinov hails from, is a Republic of Russia under the jurisdiction of Moscow.

In his comments, the Chechen commander praised Putin for standing up against the West and NATO, describing them as evil. He praised the Russian president for preventing LGBTQ rights from advancing in their country, contending that the fight in Ukraine was a war against the marginalized community.

Mike Pence Endorses GOP Rival of Trump-Backed Candidate for Governor

Former Vice President Mike Pence on Monday endorsed Karrin Taylor Robson, who is running against Trump-backed, former TV news anchor Kari Lake in the GOP primary for Arizona governor.

The endorsement further escalated the public rift between Mr. Pence and his former boss, teeing up another high-profile intraparty showdown ahead of the Aug. 2 primary.

Ms. Robson, a real estate developer and former member of the Arizona Board of Regents, is “the best choice for Arizona’s future” who will “keep Arizona’s border secure and streets safe, empower parents and create great schools, and promote conservative values,” Mr. Pence said.

“I am honored to announce the endorsement of former Vice President @Mike_Pence,” Ms. Robson tweeted. “He has been a warrior for the sanctity of Life; limited government; law & order; opportunity for all; & the knowledge that our freedoms are granted by God. Hunter’s Laptop Shows Dozens of Meetings With Dad, Business Partners

The personal calendar on the infamous abandoned laptop indicates Hunter Biden and his business partners met at the White House or the vice president’s residence with Joe Biden dozens of times, often immediately upon returning from business trips.

While Joe Biden continues to insist he never discussed his son’s business with him, the timing of the meetings and the people who participated suggest the president had an interest in the details of those deals.

Eric Schwerin, the president of Hunter Biden’s investment company Rosemont Seneca Partners, is named as a calendar invite recipient on 21 of 30 listed meetings, the New York Post reports.

The paper noted Schwerin had access to Joe Biden’s personal financial information.

Among the many significant entries, the calendar shows that four days after Hunter Biden met with billionaire oligarchs in Moscow Feb. 15-18, 2012, he met with Vice President Biden at the Naval Observatory. Joe Rogan said former President Donald Trump was a bored “man baby” on Adderall while he was in the oval office.

Rogan, 54, made the comment while speaking with fellow comedian Tom Segura on a Thursday episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.

“The thing that is incredible about that guy is that, you know, I’m saying, even when you watch him as president, he was full of f****** energy,” Segura, 43, said.

Europe Encouraged to Ration Gas Supplies Ahead of Winter

The International Energy Agency (IEA) is calling for widespread energy rationing across Europe due to the continent’s ongoing fuel crisis the agency predicts will be exacerbated by the coming winter months.

Dr. Fatih Birol, executive director of the IEA, warned of an approaching energy catastrophe in Europe in a commentary piece released on Monday. Birol implored the European Union to reduce energy demand from households and businesses alike to prevent an energy crisis even if gas flows through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline resume at the same levels that preceded its shutdown.

Birol advocated for lowering household electricity demand by “setting cooling standards and controls,” stating that government and public buildings should take part in this to set an example to consumers. In his article, he also told governments in the EU to “encourage behavioral changes” among their citizens to reduce energy consumption.

Liberal Privilege: Charges Dropped Against Leftist Journalists Who Illegally Entered Capitol Buildings on Jan. 6

The “Colbert 9” were cleared of “unlawful entry” charges Monday after staffers for “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” were caught recording comedy skits inside a House Office Building after hours without permission in June.

A statement from the U.S. Attorney’s office read: “After a comprehensive review of all of the evidence and the relevant legal authority, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia has determined that it cannot move forward with misdemeanor charges of unlawful entry against the nine individuals who were arrested on June 16, 2022 at the Longworth Office Building. The individuals, who entered the building on two separate occasions, were invited by Congressional staffers to enter the building in each instance and were never asked to leave by the staffers who invited them, though, members of the group had been told at various points by the U.S. Capitol Police that they were supposed to have an escort. The Office would be required to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that these invited guests were guilty of the crime of unlawful entry because their escort chose to leave them unattended. We do not believe it is probable that the Office would be able to obtain and sustain convictions on these charges. The defendants no longer will be required to appear for a scheduled hearing in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia on July 20, 2022.”

The United States Capitol Police (USCP) released a statement saying they “respect the decision that office has made” and referred any questions about the decision to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.

Fox News is told the Capitol Police are upset about the decision to drop the charges, especially since the Colbert 9 were told on multiple occasions they weren’t supposed to be there. Sources close to the Capitol Police also tell Fox this undercuts law enforcement as they try to secure the Capitol complex after the riot. Sesame Place Issues Multiple Apologies as Video of Character Seemingly Ignoring Two Black Children Goes Viral

A video of the Sesame Place character Rosita seemingly ignoring two children at a parade has some critics accusing the park employee of racism.

“#BabyPaige & her cute lil friends went to @SesamePlace this weekend to celebrate Paige’s 4th birthday & this is how #SesamePlace treated these beautiful Black children. I’m HOT,” a Twitter user wrote along with a short video clip of the incident, which was also shared to Instagram. While walking in the parade, the amusement park employee dressed as Rosita is seen gesturing no to something, then walks away before greeting the two girls. . .

Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland also weighed in on the video. “Ok so, had that been me, that whole parade would have been in flames,” she shared to Instagram on Sunday. “Like, are you serious? You’re not going to speak to my child?” And did you see that baby’s face at the end? The little one with the pink on? She deserves an explanation. Hello.”

Sesame Place is a theme park located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, which features a variety of rides, shows, and water attractions all based on the popular show. They also have employees dressed in costume that children can interact with in the park.
